We felt lucky because our room had a deck. It was lovely sitting outside enjoying the day.

My husband and I stayed at the scanlan house last year on our wedding night, we knew after that we would be back every year on our anniversary. It's so charming, clean, quiet and romantic. I have no bad words to say about this place. I'm already excited for next year!

Impressive, from beginning to end. Kirsten, the owner, provided a free upgrade from a room to a suite on the top floor when I checked in. The suite was spacious and tastefully appointed, from the furniture to the decorations and beyond. Breakfast was delightful, which included a Mexican omelet, fresh fruit, and muffin. I plan on visiting the Scanlan again soon!

I had the pleasure of staying at the quaint place. Very nice people and the breakfast is worth the total price! Awesome gourmet breakfast. I highly recommend a stay there and make sure to rent a bike of 2 to hit the trails and enjoy shopping! I am going back for sure!

The Historic Scanlan B&B was a delight. The Christmas decorations were beautiful throughout the house. I stayed in the Sunset Suite and it was beautiful. Mary, the owner was a wonderful hostess and available to answer any questions. She provided great conversation on the history of Lanesboro and the B&B itself. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! My husband and I had discovered the town while on a bike ride a few years ago and had always wanted to come back down to do some exploring of the city. So glad it worked out!

I have been to Lanesboro many times but this is my first B&B stay. The pricing was very on par for all the B&B's, we stayed in the Safari Room which is the biggest. We stayed in December, so it was alot more quiet in town....which wasn't such a bad thing. Kirsten was a delight. She has owned this for 20 years- she does all the cooking and I even saw her cleaning. She makes you feel at home and is always available. The breakfast in the morning was ready at 9 and was literally 4 courses of home made awesomeness. I think there is a max of 4-5 rooms, you eat in a common room (elegantly done) with your fellow B&Bers, which was also fun. One note- for some reason I was not able to select 5 stars using Firefox, otherwise I would give them 5 stars all around. The decorations in the parlor and library draws your eye everywhere and there is lots of it! I would definitely go back to this place, the service rooms an overall vibe were well worth it....and it was still within easy walking distance of the main "drag".

Very nice owner Mary! Wonderful breakfast. We felt welcomed and very comfortable during our stay. We also went to the theater that is right in town. Stepping out of the box and enjoyed it

Firstly, our host Kirsten was incredible. Very accommodating, helpful, and can put out an amazing breakfast !! I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and some B&B's. This was so comfortable and relaxing. Felt like staying at Grandma's house. Didn't want to get out of the whirlpool tub either. Thanks for a great stay Kirsten!

A truly lovely property with a welcoming atmosphere! I spent 3 days at the Historic Scanlan House -- and I was truly delighted. I appreciated the warmth of the owners, the beauty of the room, the attention to detail, and the outstanding breakfast (I tried to give 5 stars to dining, but the survey tool for some reason wouldn't let me). I would love to stay here again.
