Treat yourself to a restful stay at the Historic Hutchinson House Bed and Breakfast, located just 3 blocks from picturesque, historic downtown Faribault, Minnesota. This Queen Anne Victorian home is worth a stay just for the historic beauty of the house itself. The architectural detail is a prime example of artistry and quality craftsmanship that is truthfully awe-inspiring. The house offers a peaceful haven, but with all of the modern conveniences you need to be pampered; including private baths. We serve a gourmet breakfast both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Weekdays we serve an exceptional breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Innkeepers Tami and Doug Schluter look forward to seeing you!
Spacious suite offers an intimate sitting area in front of a decorative fireplace. The private bath boasts an individual tiled shower plus a large bubble tub! But the thing you may enjoy most about this room is relaxing outdoors on your own private screened-in porch.
Floor-to-ceiling windows let the morning light stream into this serene Victorian setting accented by the architectural turret. Matching chairs await you, a cup of coffee and a good book. A spacious shower is the highlight of the attached bathroom.
Enjoy the extra space of your very own parlor in this secluded two-room suite. The private sitting room offers a queen-size daybed, perfect for "special" family weekends!
This southwest facing room is perfect for those who would rather be awakened by the sound of birds rather than the rising sun. There's plenty of space for stretching out in the sitting area complete with full-size couch and matching chair.
A cozy, inviting room awash with morning sunlight. Wingback chairs provide rest and relaxation, and a comfortable corner-placed, queen-size bed awaits the sleeping hours.

My husband and I just wanted a restful, one night getaway together. Nothing over the top, but special. That is exactly what we got. Tami was very welcoming and friendly, our room was perfect and we took full advantage of the hot tub. Everything is spotless clean and newly renovated with beautifully, detailed decor. Breakfast was tailored to our wake up time and even though we planned on wandering into Northfield early on, we ended up lounging in the main living room with our bottomless coffee mugs and complementary book selections. The only thing we were missing was a river or lake outside our window…but lucky for us there is a river and wilderness reserve a few blocks away :-) BOOK THIS

This is our 2nd visit to the Historic Hutchinson House, and it won't be our last. What a find! Each of the 7 rooms is unique and the ambience of this gorgeous home is warm and welcoming. Breakfasts are delicious too! Tami and Doug are gracious hosts and will offer excellent recommendations for shopping and dining in Faribault. Highly recommended!!

Nancy & I found the accomodations to be exceptional. The vintage Victorian home is in a wonderful neighborhod just a few blaock from the downtown area. The innkeepers were very attentive to our needs and desires. The personal attention we recieved at breakfast was bheyond what we experienced at most other B&Bs. I would highly reccommend this to anyone looking to stay in the Twin Cities area without the Twin Cities traffic.
