  • Restored in 1999/2000,Villa Calma is a 2678 sq. ft home built in 1910. Enjoy our large elevated deck facing the lake. Stretch out on a lounge chair and take a nap or sit under an umbrella and enjoy a cold beverage. The house is located in the middle of a large scenic piece of property surrounded by flower gardens, trees and a turn of the century original wrought iron fence on three sides. In the southeast corner of the yard is a bonfire pit. Play a yard game, lie on the double hammock or recline on a lounge chair and relax.

      On the west shore of Lake Bemidji, near downtown. 915 Lake Blvd. NE is just two blocks south of Bemidji State University. Parking is located behind the inn on Dewey Avenue. From MN Highway 197, (Paul Bunyan Drive), turn east onto 6th Street which becomes Lake Blvd NE. Continue to 10th Street, Turn left then left again on Dewey. Villa Calma is the first driveway on the left. The guest enterance is on the north side of the inn, just follow the sidewalk to the left.

Slight left to merge onto U.S. Hwy 10 then continue 29 miles exiting to MN Hwy 371 North. Follow MN 371 104 miles to U.S. Highway 2, Cass Lake. Left on U.S. Hwy. 2 11 miles to first Bemidji exit, County 50. County 50 turns into MN 197, (Paulbunyan drive), continue 3.2 mi MN-197 turn right onto 6th Street NE which turns into Lake Blvd NE.     Loved everything, the lovely breakfast, the kindness of the innkeepers, Kim and Marty, the grounds, the view and the rooms. Everything!

    We had a very nice weekend in Bemidji Villa Calma was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed and the cleanest. The house is a short walk to the campus and downtown restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed our short time there very much.

    What a lovely B&B and wonderful inn keepers! The saying goes that "the difference is in the details" and Harold and Kim obviously know that! From a gorgeous room with chocolates and squishy bathrobes to snacks and wine in the evening and scrumptious breakfast in the morning, not a single thing was overlooked. They even purchased vegetarian sausage for me for breakfast - what a delightful surprise! We had a great time and will certainly be back!

    My husband and I were so amazed and pleased at how wonderful Villa Calma is. Harold and Kim were so nice and wonderful to talk to. They go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful time. There was so much to do. There are games and movies that you can watch. You feel like you are at home. The breakfasts were AMAZING!! I wanted to finish my plate, but was full after the very generous servings. I recommend this B&B to everyone. I will be going back in 2 months.

    We stayed at this bed and breakfast for 3 nights. The service and food was excellent and the room large, comfortable and clean with a lovely view. Our only regret was that the weather turned a bit cold and we couldn't enjoy the large grounds. We look forward to staying here again.
