Designed in the English Arts and Crafts style, it blends Victorian, Gothic, and Arts and Crafts elements. All common rooms contain massive oak fireplaces, exquisite woodwork, and beautiful antiques. Originally built in 1886, Manderley was the home of David and Adda Howie. David was a coal merchant, Civil War veteran and a prominent member of Milwaukee Society. Adda, known as “Lady Howie”, was a published author, lobbyist, and world famous innovator of dairy farming techniques. The house is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places for outstanding architectural significance.

The Stagecoach Inn was built in 1853 as a stagecoach stop on the way from Milwaukeee to Greenbay. The Inn was built from local limestone and housed a pub, floral shop, and rooms for travelers. Next door to the Inn was a stable and blacksmith. Restored in 1984 by Brook and Liz Brown, the Inn now houses a chocolate shop, a pub and 9 guest rooms. The rooms are decorated comfortably with antiques. The Weber Haus Annex is across the street and features 3 rooms with fireplaces and whirlpools, as well as a private garden area. Conveniently located in the Historic District within walking distance to shops, restaurants and galleries. A truly romantic getaway.
