Very clean, old fashioned, friendlly, down to earth owners. They like to get to know their visitors and care about the visitors opinions. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, old fashioned, well decorated, but not overdone. The house and decor ws... read more

We love the quiet, quaint privateness of this beautifully restored home. The "ghost stories" were the kids' favorites! The fact that they could stand where the mother of all of the farmchildren stood and washed dishes so often that there... read more

Large full bath with both original clawfoot tub and separate shower. This bath is shared by the Wilhelmina and Isabelle rooms which are directly across the hall. The Isabelle bedroom with double bed, old fashioned chenille bedspread and persian rug. All bedrooms have original wood floors, transom windows above the doors and are decorated in a simple farm home style.
The Wilhelmina room named for it's previous owner is done in yellow and pink pastels and is simply furnished and in keeping with the time period. Pictures of Sister Wilhelmina from the early 1900's are displayed throughout the room. One of our favorite rooms is the Roger/Dennis Room.It comes complete with fireplace and private bath.(also with clawfoot tub) The window view overlooks the gardens and fields and you can often see deer or turkeys in the nearby field.
This is our dining room which easily seats eight. Most often however our guests choose to enjoy the comfort and the casual atmosphere of the kitchen. Our kitchen comes complete with a 1940's refrigerator, antique farm sink and an old style cook range. A self-serve continental breakfast is available to our guests at their convenience. Fruit, juices, sodas and bottled water is complimentary and available throughout the day.
We call this our breakfast room which is just off the kitchen. Many guests come down to enjoy a cup of coffee and read the paper while relaxing in front of the fireplace. Our third floor entertainment room is open to our guests and includes seating areas, a pool table, television and game table for the many card and board games available for guests use. It has it's own convenient half bath.
The Parlor once used by adults on Sundays and for special occasions is a favorite gathering place for our guests. The framed 1896 wedding certificate of the original owners is located hanging to the left of the window. Photos are hung from the picture rail using picture hooks and ribbons.
