With Lisa's Italian heritage, no on ever leaves the Cocoa Cottage B&B hungry!

As our name suggests, Chocolate is the year-round staple at the Cocoa Cottage. We use orgaic, free trade cocoa and chocolate. Our extra moist Chocolate zucchini bread served daily along with Mama Tallarico's Homemade Classic Chocolate Hot Fudge with strawberries. We offer coffee. a large selection of regular, decaf and herbal teas, O.J. and the richest Hot Chocolate you have ever experienced! Not made from an instant mix, this is like Mom used to make with a little Aztec influence, (Remember the movie "Chocolat"?)

Historically honest details like Bradbury and Bradbury period reproduction wallpapers, Stickley rocking chairs and antique Arts and Crafts furnishings grace the living room's cozy interior. Guests retire and arise to a fires warmth and glow from our fully restored wood-burning fireplace in the winter, gentle lake breezes in summer and soft music.Spring, Summer or Fall the light and airy enclosed front porch quickly becomes everyone's favorite room. Start your morning with a fresh cup of coffee and savor the aromas wafting from the kitchen, while reading one of our many daily newpapers. If your not a news junkie, our extensive library has something for everyone. Known as the "Sunset Coast", you can relax and enjoy a glorious evening's sunset over White Lake. If a nap is on your agenda, take Lisa's advise, "this is THE spot!"
Full time Innkeeper and Chef, Larry Robertson, whips up a flourless chocolate torte, one of the many CHOCOLATE delicacies guests enjoy at the Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast. Chocoholics find treats like homemade chocolate-chocolate chip meringues, chocolate zucchini bread and Mama Tallarico's Homemade Hot Fudge (for breakfast!) at the Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast. Chef Larry was recognised by Arrington's Inn Traveler Magazine with thier "Best Breakfast 2004" Award, ranked 5th in the nation by inn travelers. Many, many thanks to our wonderful guests for this honor in our first year of operations!Larry and Lisa enjoy a moment of laughter (a daily requirement at the Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast) on their pergola enclosed garden patio. Lisa's artistic and Master Gardener talents are enjoyed by guests and delight passers-by. Designed for shade, privacy and seasonal impact, the gardens are a favorite resting spot for our guests. To compliment mother natures artistic flair, Lisa enjoys decorating the Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast for every holiday. Over 40 Jack-O-Lanterns adorn the Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast windows at Halloween and the several dozen gaily colored, jumbo eggs in the gardens at Easter are a town favorite. Christmas, well, you just have to be here!
The Hershey Room. Nothing is more classic than "The Great American Chocolate Bar", the inspiration for our classic Americana, north woods cabin room. King-size rustic log bed, Navajo rug, and fur traders blankets adorn this outdoor themed retreat. Antique fishing creel, snowshoes, skis, and duck decoys embrace the “outdoor” experience. Plus, plenty of, “Kisses™”!The Cadbury Room. Classic English Styled gardens inspired this room that honors the simple country life in rural England where scones, tea and Cadbury chocolates are an afternoon ritual. The light, fresh garden motif with queen-size white wrought iron bed and white wicker accents deliver springtime freshness to even a Michigan winter day!
The Godiva Room. The essence of one of the world's most seductive chocolates is captured in our romantic getaway Godiva room. The queen-size brass bed, Lisa's grandma's antique steamer trunk and rich linens adorn this room. A private balcony for two with etched french doors invite in the morning sunshine and warm breezes that tempt you to linger at the Cocoa Cottage.Breakfast is served! Spring, Summer or Fall savor one of Larry's specialties-Cottage Eggs, Chocolate-Raspberry French Toast, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Eggs in Purgatory or any one of Larry's seasonal specialties while enjoying the beautiful song of the morning doves on the garden patio.
