The Neahtawanta Inn is located on the Old Mission Peninsula, north of Traverse City. We have a beautiful view of the lake and lovely beach. The Inn is a comfortable, homey place, providing peace and quiet in a relaxed atmosphere. We offer health food and yoga instruction. Neahtawanta is in a peaceful location on the peninsula, close enough to TC, etc.,yet removed enough to feel a world a way when you're at the B&B. Cozy, homey and the innkeepers are so welcoming, you feel immediately at ease. Breakfasts are great. Innkeepers are happy to give suggestions about which winery or restaurant to visit. Clean rooms. Great location on the water. This is a true "up north" experience.

Very enjoyable experience. This Inn is tucked out of the way of traffic and congestion. Delightful innkeepers, beautiful morning and evening views of Bowers Harbor all at a reasonable rate.

This room faces the woods, has one of the original marble top sinks, and a single fold-out futon couch. Room 2 and 3 share a common bathroom down the hall. It has the original clawfoot tub and a separate shower, so you can soak in the old tub or take a shower. There is also a 1/2 bath on the first floor.

Room 3 faces Bowers Harbor and has a beautiful view of the water with a great view of the sunrise. It has a queen size bed, a marble sink, and shares bathroom with room 2. The common bathroom is down the hall. It has the original clawfoot tub and a separate shower, so you can soak in the old tub or take a shower. There is also a 1/2 bath on the first floor.

Room 4 has beautiful views of the water from all 4 windows. We added the private bathroom and sitting area in 1999, making this the largest bedroom. The couch folds out to a single bed; the bathroom contains one of the original marble sinks, as well as a shower.

Suite is numbered "678" because it was created by combining the original Inn rooms, 6, 7 & 8. The front sleeping room of the suite was room 6. It has a great view of the water with french doors that open into the common sitting area of the suite. The back sleeping room was room 8; it has a view of the water from the side window. The common area has a sitting area with a couch that opens into a single bed and a small kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom has the original claw foot tub with a shower, the original sink and an electronically controlled skylight for light and fresh air.

Take South Airport Road west to Garfield Ave, turn right (north), go appox. 2 miles and Garfield becomes M-37. go to the second light, and turn left on Peninsula Drive. Follow peninsula Drive for 9 1/2 miles along the water and than turn left onto Neahtawanta Road, the Inn is 2 miles down the road on the left.
