    Review Marywood Manor, Saugatuck, MI

    Photo Album

Your enjoyable stay at Marywood Manor begins by entering through our inviting screen door. The lovely screened porch on the front of the house is where we serve breakfast, weather permitting. You can experience a lovely quiet evening, free of bugs, talking and listening to the night sounds.
The gardens and landscaping adds beauty and color to the exterior of Marywood. None of the suits in the Inn have any common walls so they are very quiet and private. The back porch of the large Old Harbor suite is for the exclusive use of the suites' occupants and has a small swing, table & chairs, its own bubbling fountain and numerous flowering plants.
The lovely perrenial garden of Marywood contains an intimate glider under an arbor covered with flowering trumpet and wistiria vines. It is a perfect spot for wine with someone you love. The screened porch contains a lovely refurbished glider, several rocking chairs and several small tables which can accomodate a variety of afternoon & evening activities and groups. It is a comfortable area to sit and talk, play a game or just listen to the nights' sounds. Being on a small dead-end street, just off the main business district, gives you a quiet place to relax yet quick access to the many shops and restaurants.
Two of our many happy guests having a filling, delicious breakfast on the screened porch. Everyone leaves Marywood with great memories of the food and a few additional pounds. The beds in Marywood are the best, most comfortable pillow top mattresses available; Extra-high threadcount linens are used throughout the Inn. The is the Oval Beach suite bedroom which has a queen sized bed. It is adjoining the separate living room.
The upstairs, Mount Baldhead Suite, has a king sized bed in the bedroom, as well as dressers, a side chair and cable TV. The adjoining sitting room contains a day sofa/twin bed, which can sleep another person. The sitting room in the Singapore suite contains an antique writing desk, small love seat, and cabinet with TV and small refrigerator. It adjoins the bedroom, with queen bed and private bathroom.
Several of the suites contain day beds, in the living rooms, that make-up into one or two twin beds. These suites can accomodate three or four people with separate sleeping arrangements. This is one corner of the Oval Beach suite living room.Throughout the garden area you will find lovely, whimsical vistas such as this old footed bath tub, now used as a water feature. The Innkeeper/Owner will be glad to discuss gardening and plants till your hearts' content.
The small pond in our garden offer a bench and wonderful sounds of falling water. The many plants surrounding the pond are beautiful all summer long. Your loved one and you can enjoy a glass of wine and some quiet time together at this spot.
