A very warm and friendly place for friends to meet for an enjoyable, restful weekend. Half way between Detroit and Chicago. Hope to come back every Holiday Season and enjoy a chat by the fireplace.

We loved our 1 night stay at the Maplewood Bed and Breakfast. I had stayed there about 30 years ago because it was the only place available for the weekend. It needed help back then, and the owner has done a wonderful job bringing it back to life. We were greeted immediatly by our last name by the wonderful woman at the desk, wish I could remember her name. She told us we had been upgraded to a suite with a fireplace, and a larger room as well. This was very nice. The breakfast was wonderful, we felt very welcome and will return to this nice place soon.

This is a Hotel with a Bed and Breakfast feel to it! The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The building is older so there are a few things you'd have to 'put up with' like incredibly uneven floors and weak shower pressure, but all in all we were fine with that. It's also close to everything...we will definately stay here again.
