Deer Creek Cottages and Guesthouse
Cottage Living magazine describes Deer Creek Cottages and Guesthouse as a “world away from stress” where “the glimmer of fireflies is more important than the Gameboy glow.” USA Today seems to agree in their 2007 article: "10 great places to rent a cottage.” Come see what makes Deer Creek so special.
Located on the “dune side” of Saugatuck’s Lake Kalamazoo and situated on a mature wooded lot, Deer Creek is both accessible and tranquil. Guests enjoy easy access to area beaches, shopping, dining, galleries and attractions while relaxing in a peaceful natural setting.
Deer Creek offers a vintage Guesthouse and three charming, turn-of-the-century, cottages.
Originally built in 1877, by local shipping Captain James Tisdale, for him and his family, the main house contains all of the charm of that era. The Guesthouse contains two wonderfully decorated spacious suites with fireplaces and private baths. The third unit is a family unit or “Jack-and Jill” containing two cozy bedrooms with a shared bath.
The three cottages vary in size from a two-room deluxe suite with a King bed to a standard studio with a queen bed. All of the cottages include a kitchenette, Satellite TV with DVD or VCR, WiFi, full bath, hardwood floors, air conditioning, private deck, patio furniture, and a grill.
All guests have access to the veranda, screen porch, deck, hot tub, games, books, hammocks and video library. Kayaks, bikes and boats can be made available with advanced notice.
