The Terrace Inn is a Historic Hotel and Restaurant built in 1911 in Bay View, Petoskey. Located across from Little Traverse Bay and Lake Michigan, this resort area is incredibly scenic and sophisticated! The Inn is surrounded by over 400 colorful Victorian cottages as well as Bay View's concert hall and auditorium, Chapel and Dormitories housing
performing artist throughout the summer concert season.

Rooms range from charming cottage style with 1 queen or 2 twin beds, private bath with shower and no phone or TV (for those who want to be "unplugged") to spacious whirlpool suites with fireplaces, kitchenettes, King beds, all the modern comforts. Breakfast of waffles, juices, granola,
hard boiled eggs and yogurt is included in your stay! The Inn is wireless throughout, a recent "modern" addition.

Go 1 block to Lakeview, take a right. Go 1 block to Glendale, take a left. Inn is just up on the left. From Detroit I-75 to Gaylord, take M-32 east to US 131 and go north to Petoskey. From upper michigan take US 31 to Petoskey and Bay View is on left of Bay. Go to light at Olsens Plaza. Take a left. Go 1 block to Arlington, take a left. Go into Bay View and take a left on Lake View, then a right on Glendale to the Inn.

    Our gorgeous and newly renovated Dining Room features a delicious, eclectic and seasonally changing menu! Chef Perry Manning delights in creating tasty dishes using local produce whenever available, herbs, spices, and flavorful sauces!
The restaurant is open Friday and Saturday January and February by reservation and sleigh rides are offered each Saturday evening during our "winter wonderland" season!

room 309/310 is a pretty room with a Victorian Queen Bed, fireplace and wicker chairs, kitchenette and whirlpool tub in the bath..
Sweet and comfy and convenient!
    This is a typically sized "cottage room" with 1 Queen size bed, private bath with shower only, (no tub), clock radio, a/c on request, and is comfy and cozy..in true cottage style!Our pretty and spacious "treetop whirlpool suite" features 1 Queen Size bed, a fireplace, comfy chairs, an extra room with twin daybed, cable TV, nice bath with whirlpool tub, shower, hair dryer, and convenient microwave, coffeemaker and mini-frig!

Our Chef uses only top quality spices and home-grown herbs..reasonably priced entrees and a great wine and beer list!This room is a typical cottage room but is $10 less because it has 1 window and no a/c (except on request). It has a private bath with shower, clock radio, cottage antiques blended with modern accents..cozy and charming..and perfect for 2!
    This pretty room is 314 our "lilac lovers" room..and overlooks lilac bushes..it has a cozy fireplace, cable tv, full bath with hairdryer, modern and antique furnishings, queen size canopy bed, and is one of our more spacious rooms!
    This serene yet cheerful room (room 214) has a Queen Bed, fireplace, cable TV, lots of windows, full bath with hairdryer and tub/shower, and more spacious.  It has some antique accents, but some modern touches too.  Not too frilly and really comfortable! Room 211KD has 1 King size bed, full bath with tub/shower, hairdryer, clock radio, cable tv, and a cool cottage chic look.  A blend of original antiques and modern quilts give it this room a little "edge".
    Room 209 our "enchanted forest" suite has a serene decor with dark victorian  queen size bed, fireplace, cable tv, whirlpool tub in the bath, and convenient kitchenette with microwave, coffeemaker, mini-frig and all very spacious yet cozy..Our Little Traverse Suite (also referred as the honeymoon suite!) is conveniently located on the main floor.  Originally 2 smaller bedrooms, it was converted to one larger suite with one room the bathroom and the other featuring a King Bed, fireplace, cable tv, whirlpool tub and even a kitchenette!
12 ft ceilings and transoms and expansive views towards the Bay create a "loft-like" experience!
    This is our "lilac lovers" room (314)has a beautiful custom queen canopy bed, fireplace and cable tv, full bath, hairdryer, and is one of more spacious rooms!
