Hexagon House Bed & Breakfast

Enchantment fills the air and guests are surrounded by tranquility and charm at the Hexagon House Bed and Breakfast. Located in Pentwater, Michigan, it was built in 1870 and recreated in Victorian splendor in 1995. The hallmark of the Hexagon House is the two large covered porches which wrap around the entire outside of the structure. Your room has a private bath, tasteful antique furnishings, and individual porch access. A full breakfast is served each morning in the Great Room. While you're here, stroll the 2.8 lush green acres encircled by trees and a perennial wildflower garden. Relax a while under our covered wrap-around porches. Read your favorite novel in the charming parlor complete with fireplace. Head off to the village for a day of exploring or ride one of our bikes through the countryside. Guests will find the Hexagon House an ideal place for summer vacations and winter retreats, family gatherings, or anniversary celebrations. We’re open all year.

The Hexagon House Bed and Breakfast
If you like flowers and gardens, then the Garden Room is perfect for you. The beautiful, soft rose pattern wallpaper sets the mood for this room. Its wicker chair, rocker and comfortable antique iron and brass bed with its fiber-filled duvet bed cover surround you with a sensation of being outdoors. The Garden Room also features an electric fireplace, a private bath with a modern tub / shower and hickory flooring. You'll love the little extra amenities of the Garden Room (especially when you add an in-room massage from any 3 of the Hexagon House's certified Massage Therapists). The Russell Room, named in honor of S. E. Russell, the original builder of the Hexagon House, is a very popular choice for many of our guests. Its cheery light blue and white wallpaper lights up with each sunrise. You'll delight in soaking in your very own claw foot tub / shower and we're sure you will appreciate the over-sized pedestal sink (it original to the house). The antique oak Queen size bed is a favorite and the armoire offers plenty of hanging space for your clothes. There's plenty of room to enjoy an in-room massage by any one of the Hexagon House's Certified Massage Therapists. The rest of the Russell Room amenities will complete that special romantic getaway.
Step back in time and relax in the Homestead Room with its "down home" comfort. Overlooking the perennial garden, this room faces southwest and is the perfect room for those who would rather be awakened by the sound of birds rather than by the rising sun. The earthy colors, wood floors and warm feeling of the Homestead Room will make you want to stay for days. The private bath features a modern tub / shower, exhaust fan with heat lamp and vent. There's plenty of space for hanging clothes, and an antique oak dresser, a table and chairs. Of course, don't forget there's also plenty of room for an in-room massage table and a relaxing "rub down" by any one of our 3 Certified Massage Therapists. The Cottage Rose Suite, located on the first floor is the perfect choice for that Romantic getaway. Whether you're celebrating a honeymoon, anniversary or just a special occasion, you'll be glad you chose the Cottage Rose Suite. Relax on the antique wicker swing on your very own private section of the porch. Curl up with a good book (or that special someone) in the window seat overlooking the gardens. You will definitely want to relax in the Jacuzzi tub while all of your worries and concerns drift away. Its King size bed, antiques from the Russell's estate, spacious floor plan, walk-in closets and private bath make the Cottage Rose Suite our largest, most popular room so be sure to reserve soon.
    Great Room
This spacious room opens your eyes to the outside. View the lustrous greens of summer, vibrant colors of autumn, and swirling snowflakes of winter. See rainbows of light move across the floor as the sun shines in through beviled glass windows. Get comfy. Enjoy the beauty inside and out. Listen to music, watch TV, play games, or visit with each other. This is also where breakfast is served each morning.
Night time is always special at the Hexagon House. Stroll along the driveway in the cold night air and let yourself drift back in time. Remember that time when you were a child and played in the snow banks, had snowball fights with your friends or made snow angels. No one will stop you from reliving those special moments while visiting us in Pentwater, Michigan.
