Dimmick House

Dimmick House Bed&Breakfast is a 6,000 square foot Italianate house set on 1.66 acres overlooking the Shiawassee River. Its amazing architectural features are seen throughout the house.

This lovely Victorian beauty has four guest rooms which are decorated in beautiful colors with traditional wood furnishings. Each room has a "personality" with very nice views of either the river or the historic homes of Oliver Street.

Dimmick House offers bottled water, tea or coffee upon arrival and a complimentary breakfast in the dining room. Come and enjoy the beautiful setting of Dimmick House May through December.

    From I-69: exit "Perry/Owosso". Go north on M-52 to Owosso, about 15 minutes. When you pass M-21/Main Street you'll go over the bridge and make a quick right turn on Williams St. Then a left turn on Pine St. and left on West Oliver St. Go through the traffic light, pass Baker College. The second house passed the college is Dimmick House.

    Welcome to Dimmick House Bed and Breakfast. Please enter through the east entrance and sign our guest book. We'll show you to your roomThis formal living room boasts architectural features which reflect its Italianate style.  In the cold months, enjoy the cozy atmosphere of a warm fire while sipping a cup of tea.
    The "Seraphine Suite" is the finest of accommodations at Dimmick House. You will enjoy a king-size bed, armoire with cable TV, love-seat sleeper sofa, and dressing table in the main room.  The sitting room has a queen sleeper sofa, cable TV, and kitchenette.The private bath has a nice tiled shower with two shower heads, and of course, a sink and toilet. This room is perfect for a small family.The Seraphine Suite kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, sink, and storage. Help yourself to the popcorn.
    This is an additional view of the Seraphine Suite. It has a very nice view of West Oliver Street.The Seraphine Suite has a queen sleeper sofa in the sitting room. Opposite the sofa is the TV and kitchenette.
    Riverside Suite is a lovely room for two.  It has a queen size bed, in room cable TV, private shower and seperate jacuzzi tub. The view of the river is beautiful and can be enjoyed from a private balcony.  The west sitting room is just outside the door of the suite where you can read a book or take in the street view.  Riverside Suite bathroom has a beautiful view of the river. Opposite the tub is the shower and there's a small private deck off the back of this room.
    Just outside the Riverside Suite is the west side sitting room for guests.  It has a very nice view of West Oliver Street and the sunny spot is a great place to read a book.Our billiard room is available to all our guests. It has views of the street on the east side and a river view to the south. Don't be shy...grab a cold drink and try a game!
    "Breakfast is served!" Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and a complimentary breakfast at 8:30 AM in the dining room. The "Charmaine" is a nice room for two guests.  It has a queen-size sleigh bed, armoire with DVD player, two chairs and an antique table. The bathroom is in the hall.
    The Rose room is a charming room for one guest. It has an antique bed and dresser, a rocking chair and ceiling fan. The bathroom is in the hallway.

    The Shiawassee River runs through the yard of Dimmick House.When you arrive at Dimmick House, please park in the half-circle driveway. There is plenty of parking for all guests.
    Curwood Castle was the workplace for author, James Oliver Curwood. It's located just 1/4 mile from Dimmick House on the banks of the Shiawassee River.My wife and I welcome you to Dimmick House and hope you'll take time to visit the CONE ZONE.  This is a local "hot spot" and not to be missed!   Nothing is "small" at Prescott's CONE ZONE!!!
