Have you been looking for that perfect place to take that special someone? A place that speaks of grandeur and elegance? That literally breathes down home comfort? That place exists in the woods of northern Michigan.

It’s called TEASPOON ANTIQUES & BED & BREAKFAST, and what proprietors Fred and Kathy Gottschalk have to offer in the way of lodging is exceptional to say the least.

Each of the two rooms, the Amish Fireplace Room and the Victorian Honeymoon Room, are rich with romance and luxury. EACH has a PRIVATE HOT TUB, fireplace, balcony and bath and is decorated in its own unique and individual style.

Not only do these rooms come with an ambiance conducive to love and romance, the special amenities available are sure to guarantee it. FLOWERS, CHAMPAGNE and CANDIES by the hot tub are all readily available. CANDLE LIGHT FOUR-COURSE BREAKFASTS add the finishing touch to what could only be considered the ultimate romantic escape.

Located in the AMISH COUNTRY of northeast Michigan, just minutes away from Amish shops and the AU SABLE RIVER, visitors can fish for trout or relax and enjoy a float on this nationally designated Wild and Scenic River. Located on 40 peaceful acres, TEASPOON is surrounded by thousands of acres of public lands. Here you will find trails for hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and mountain biking.

Providing lodging for the KIRTLAND WARBLER FESTIVAL~ the NOR'EASTER FESTIVAL~ the MICHIGAN MAGAZINE WEEKEND and the MENNONITE RELIEF SALE, we support local talent and resources.

Kathy loves antiques and using them to decorate her warm, country home. In the summer when she isn't gardening, you may likely find her floating down the AU SABLE RIVER, either in her kayak or on a raft. Fred is a retired aquatic biologist who, when not enjoying FLY FISHING in the great outdoors, is often found working on projects that he and Kathy have designed to give TEASPOON its country charm.
