The gazibo is a lovely place to relax with a book...or...a great place to be married!
The formal parlor features an elegant seven-foot rosewood grand piano built in 1894. The innkeeper will be happy to play for you, or you are invited to play yourself if you wish. The velvet tete-a-tete is a popular site for photographs.
The Violet Room has a giant burled walnut Victorian bed and a cozy fireplace. There is also a giant lock-side Eastlake dresser and a wine-velvet loveseat.
The swimming pool is open from May until mid-September and has a solor heater

Rose Hill Inn is an elegant 1860 Italianate mansion, sitting high on a hill overlooking Marshall. Once the home of the founder of the American Boy Scouts, the mansion features twelve-foot ceilings, tall windows with lovely views, fireplaces, and fine Victorian antiques, all combining to create a mood of tranquility and escape from the modern world. Situated on three acres of grounds surrounded by woods, Rose Hill offers guests the opportunity to use the private tennis court or swimming pool, stroll in the gardens, or just relax with a good book on the patio or one of the porches. Nearby there are golf courses and a charming 19th century town filled with antique shops and architectural wonders. All rooms are decorated in 19th century style in every detail, but with 20th century luxuries: central air, private baths, telephones, and fireplaces in some rooms. The rose Hill Inn is also the perfect place for your wedding, either inside in the parlor, or outside in the beautiful Victorian gazebo. We have packages to make your wedding planning easy and affordable.

Rose Hill Inn went beyond our expectations. We were warmly greeting and shown to our room which was quite charming. The Inn is the cleanest B&B we have been in. It is a showplace and no detail has been missed. Our hosts made our stay very enjoyable. The history of the Inn was fascinating and the breakfast delicious. We highly recommend the Rose Hill Inn!

December 26, 2012
We were married at the Rose Hill Inn one year ago, on 12/23/11, and it was a great experience. We knew we wanted to spend our one year wedding anniversary there, and we found it to be just as special on our second visit. The Inn is beautifully decorated for Christmas. We had a delicious breakfast with another couple who were married there the day before, and they were also pleased with their experience.

Overnight get-a-way, not too far away from home, to celebrate a birthday. Our stay at the Rose Hill Inn, dinner at Schuler's, a play perform by the Marshall Civic Players and shopping in the local shops of downtown Marshall were all very enjoyable. Our hosts, Gerry and Carol were very nice and accomodating.

October 10, 2012
We had a lovely stay at the Rose Hill Inn. The Innkeepers, Gerry and Carol, are wonderful. They provided the history of the Inn, the town, and made recommendations for food and fun. The room was beautiful with antiques and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was to die for! Overall, a great way to celebrate an anniversary or just get away for the weekend!
