My husband and I stayed at the Cloghaun Bed and Breakfast in October of 2012. It was our first time staying on the island and our first time staying at a B&B. We loved it and are still talking about it months later! The owner, Jim, and innkeepers, Marti and Paul were so friendly. The breakfast was light but everything tasted so fresh and was made from scratch. Best spice cake I've ever tasted! This home is charming! We plan on staying here again!

We live in N. Indiana and I have always wanted to visit the island. This was our first visit, and I am hoping we will have more in the future. It was wonderful to get away. The Innkeepers were very hospitable and we certainly would want to stay at the Cloghaun again.

The Cloghaun does not have a dock porter. We were not informed of this by them when the reservations were made. Upon arrival at the island, our bags were lost. The staff made a minimal attempt to locate the bags. We had to spend the day searching for our bags by physically going to each lodging facility. With only two days on the island, this was not how we planned our vacation time in a premium cost structure venue. The staff was not very attentive and their presence was lacking.

Overall a very nice place with a fantastic porch. Great place to converse with people. Food was more like a continental style breakfast. I suspect I got one of the less attractive rooms. The staff surprised me with a lack of attention.

Innkeeper was very gracious with an incident of broken glass. They were ver friendly and accessible. The B&B was beautiful with original family furnishings and heirlooms which created a yesteryear atmosphere. This was our second visit, and we would definitely consider another.

cloghaun's is like going home. Good food, good company, good price. Several families meet there every year at the same time.

My husband and I have stayed at the Cloghaun many times since 1995 and have always enjoyed our visit. Marti, Paul, & Jim go out of their way to make our visit nice.

We have been to the island several times as our children work there during the summer while going to college. This was the first time staying at the Cloghaun as we have stayed at other B & B's on the island. But they might as well put our names on the door as this will be our permanent spot to stay anytime we travel to the island. The island is magical in itself, but the feel at the Cloghaun makes it all the more real. Marti was so enjoyable and lovely and made us feel like it was "our" home as well. We stayed in Margaret's Room and it was so quaint and personable. From the antiques & quilts, wind blown lace curtains, historical pictures to hearing Taps a night from the Fort or the clip clop of the ocassional taxi. This place is truly a dream. If you go to the island, make sure to stay here to complete you experience. It's well worth the price to not only have the island experience but the experience of being part of all of it by staying here. I promise you won't be disapointed!

We have been to the Cloghaun several times at different times of year. One thing that never changes is the coziness of the place. Every room we have stayed in is beautifully decorated and has the most comfortible beds we have every slept in. If you love antiques and a place with history this is the place for you. To sit on the porch and watch the horses is mesmerizing. We love it and will be back every year.

We have stayed at Cloghaun the past 19 consecutive summers. It is the highlight of our vacation time. We love the quiet, comfortable feeling at this wonderful historic home, so well-run by Marti Carey and Paul Carey. Looking forward to August 2008!
