We stayed in Room 201, which has two views. Bed and breakfast was clean and welcoming. For the price I would've expected a bit more perfection in terms of the upkeep of the B & B, although we were there at the very end of the season so maybe they do all the maintenance on the off season. Kitchen staff were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was amazing, their coffee blend was great and we enjoyed the complimentary drinks and evening dessert. I would recommend this B&B and I would stay here again. It's a gem on the Island, for sure!!! It is expensive though.

We came to the island without reservations because it was off season. First week of Oct. We were met with wonderful hospitality. Our first night we had a smaller room, but for the 2nd night they upgraded us at no additional charge which was wonderful! Our room was beautiful. The breakfasts were delicious and the afternoon homemade cookies were wonderful, and to top off the day the desserts in the evening were fabulous. We can't wait to go there again.

Bay View was most accommodating during our weekend visit (pre-season) to move our 2 Carriage Tour employees to the island. My daughter felt like a princess in a castle, in awe of their rich, victorian decor. Mom enjoyed friendly, helpful service, cleanliness and attentive staff. Special requests were not ignored. Most fabulous breakfast service and menu! Top of the line for Mackinac Island, highly recommended if you want elegance and ambience + serenity. A PLUS: Beautiful weather in May!

My husband and I have never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. We have also never stayed overnight on the Island. We got a last minute booking in the honeymoon suite. It was awesome. Our room overlooked the marina. There was a jacuzzi tub, a kitchenette, a living area. The service was also excellent. We were allowed to bring out luggage before check in so that we could see the sights unencumbered. The afternoon snacks were good. Bay View even has their own blend of coffee. The evening that we were there, they served the best strawberry shortcake I've had. Yum! Another great aspect of the Bay View is their location. Of course, it's on the water, but you will also be very close to all of the action on main street and just down the hill from the fort. We had a wonderful experience here and you will too.
