This lovely historical home turned B & B is strategically located not only near downtown, but also near both major educational institutions, Kalamazoo College and Western Michigan. The hostess, Kathy, is very gracious, helpful, and accommodating, plus fun to talk with. The rooms (we have stayed numerous times for our K College reunions) are spacious and very nicely appointed, with small touches everywhere that add interest and to he very homey, comfortable atmosphere. The food is plentiful and very nicely prepared and presented. The whole house is welcoming, and the dining room, while providing separate and various table configurations, is conducive to friendly interchanges between guests should they so desire. Among the many amenities (24/7 supply of hot drink mixes, dvd availability, no charge for local calls, etc.) the very convenient parking on the property helps in an otherwise parking scarce area. We highly recommend Hall House to all B & B lovers, and know it will convert any hotel person to its gracious accommodations.

Loved this charming B&B in a great location! Cathy was so kind and helpful and truly has such pride in her beautiful home. We were able to see the other rooms and the pictures do not do them justice. My friend and I stayed in the Penthouse Suite and it was perfect! This B&B will be our place to meet. Just lovely!

Found this delightful B and B by googling and am so thrilled. It will become the "place" to meet up with my Chicago friend. Perfect location- to the train station to pick her up, the Kalamazoo Mall and Fooddance! Breakfasts were yummy and generous. Cathy- the hostess was a doll. DOn't miss this spot!

My husband and I have stayed in many bed and breakfasts across this country and in Canada. We rate this B&B among the best. For starters, the Inn is very clean and conveniently located across the street from Kalamazoo College. We did not meet David Griffith, but Cathy Griffith, the innkeeper, was extremely congenial. We found her to be a great conversationalist and helpful without being intrusive. Our breakfast, although billed as continental plus, was anything but merely continental. We enjoyed a hot entreé with fresh fruit, muffins, juice and coffee. Everything was delicious. We were even offered seconds although the first go-round had already filled us up. We have already put this on our must-return-to list and highly recommend this B&B to anyone in need of quiet and superb accommodations in Kalamazoo.

The quality built into this house in 1923 still shines through! We were enchanted from our first step onto the imported Italian marble in the entryway. Cathy was charming, and loved sharing details about the house. Clean, comfortable, and luxurious!

This was our first time at Hall House and it won't be our last. Our room was beautiful, cozy, and immaculate. Cathy served a delicious breakfast and is a charming, friendly host. If you are ever in the Kalamazoo are, please stay here. You won't regret it. Cathy, keep up the good work!!!

Cathy was acommodating from when we were greeted with a glass of wine to when we left after a wonderful breakfast. Very generous rooms with bathrooms. Great historical home with a lot of origional features. Would suggest this to anyone who asked where to have a great stay in the Kalamazoo area. THank you Cathy and David for a pleasant visit.

We went to the Hall House on our wedding night, and have been back a couple of times for our anniversary because we like it so much. It is always quiet and peaceful and the breakfast is fantastic. We recommend it to anyone who is looking for a romantic getaway or just some good pancakes :)

Once again we have had the pleasure of staying at Hall House, and we continue to be big fans of this B&B located steps away from Kalamazoo College. As in the past, Hall House is immaculate, and our room with private bath was most comfortable. The innkeepers are very welcoming to their guests, and at the same time, respect their guests privacy. A delicious hearty breakfast is served each morning. In addition to its great location with respect to Kalamazoo College, Hall House is convenient to Western Michigan University and downtown Kalamazoo.

This is, bar none, a perfect place to stay in Kalamazoo, especially if you have business at Kalamazoo College. On previous trips I stayed at the Radisson, and I wish I had discovered Hall House when my daughter was a freshman. The house is beautiful and well-maintained. Our room and the dining were very clean, and Cathy is gracious, friendly, and professional. She really knows how to run a bed and breakfast. Our stay was only for two nights but it was so nice there I wish we could have stayed longer. It's just the best!

Cathy really spoiled me! I stayed there for two nights and loved the breakfasts that she made! They were delicious. I enjoyed the array of choices. My room was spacious and immaculately clean. The bed provided a restful night's sleep. I have stayed at the Hall House many times when in Kalamazoo. Quite frankly, I wouldn't stay any place else. The Hall House is the best!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hall House. Kathy couldn't have been more friendly! She went out of her way to make our stay a memorable one, she even arranged for our couples massage in the room. The house was beautiful, clean, and the breakfast was outstanding. We would definately stay there again!

We regularly stay at the Hall House when in town visiting family but this time we brought extras -- our two young adult sons. A quick phone call to Cathy insured that "it was no problem". When we arrived, we were greeted like old friends and shown to the spacious third floor. What an awesome space! It was perfect!! We had plenty of space to spread out and everyone was cozy. Cathy outdid herself on breakfast. She managed to provide food -- lots of food! -- to fill up all of us. My sons had never stayed at a B&B before and how blessed they were that their first experience was at the Hall House. Thanks, Cathy, we'll be seeing you again:)

We have stayed at the Hall House numerous times. We actually fell into staying there when we failed to make reservations ahead for a big car show held annually in September. There is also a much longer story about chain hotels and rates that we will not go into now. The charm and ambiance of the Hall House empowers you to slow down and relax. The Inns' proximity to everything in Kalamazoo enables easy adventures should you desire. Cathy and David are great hosts and will do their best to help you enjoy your stay in Kalamazoo.

We really didn't have a bad experience, but nothing stood out as memorable. Not the best breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was large and warmly decorated, the food was very tasty, and the host very friendly. And, it's in the middle of the Kalamazoo College campus, so it's a beautiful neighborhood too.

This was our second stay at Hall House and it, like our first stay, was absolutely wonderful! We love the old home atmosphere and the warmth of owner Cathy. We were welcomed and pampered like old friends! Our room was large, attractive and spotless. We loved the bathroom with its historic sink and pewabic tile! Breakfasts at the Hall House are a delight. In addition to a vast assortment of delicious breakfast items served in a sunny beautiful dining room, Cathy treated us to a specially made egg-zucchini dish. Yummy!! We have been at Hall House twice -- we will be back!

Relaxing atmosphere! Comfortable and BIG room and bathroom! Gracious hospitality! Soft music playing all the time downstairs when we would be there. Super food! Great getaway for an anniversary!

We stayed one night in the Borgman Suite and our rooms were fabulous and clean and the bathroom was roomy and had built-in shelves to set our stuff on. The breakfast room was gorgeous. Owner Cathy was kind enough to give us a choice for our breakfast the next morning and we had a fresh fruit cup and gingerbread and raisin pancakes done perfectly and bacon. We really can't wait to go back! Only a 5-minute drive to downtown.
