Prairieside Suites Luxury Bed and Breakfast

If you want to be pampered and want for nothing....this is the place to be. Paul & Cherie have thought of everything and more that you ever need or want. Everything thing from fine linens, heated toliet seats, beautiful rooms, breakfast for king, serene environment, special desserts set out for guests, impeciable rooms and cleanliness, heated towels, awesome showers and hot tubs, friendly loving inn keepers, etc. We have stayed at least 6 times now. Absolutely love teh place. Outstanding customer service. They do everything they can to make your stay an awesome experience.

My fiance and I just stayed at Prairieside in their New York Loft. We are young (him 33 and me 29) from Chicago and are fairly modern and tech savvy. The concept of the bed and breakfast for younger generations is not always seen as a romantic getaway. My fiance and I had visions of sitting at a table with pseudo-grandparents and feeling that we couldn't enjoy our time together. I searched all over Bed and Breakfast dot com as well as Google to find the best B&B in the Midwest. The first thing that attracted us to Prairieside was the website. It was one of the only B&Bs that had a professional website and stayed current with social media. That tells a lot about their business and means a lot to us to see that. We looked at the various rooms they had and I opted for the New York Loft as it was the most modern looking... however do not think that these rooms are anything but modern. Upon walking into the B&B, we were greeted by Cheri who offered us fresh baked goods and showed us around the common areas. She showed us to our room and shared the various amenities offered. The rooms decor was awesome. As friendly and helpful as the staff were, they also left you alone and weren't all over you so you could enjoy your time with your loved one without feeling smothered by staff. We paid an extra charge for some beautiful candles in our room that were really nice. The breakfast was very filling and had a good variety of food and fresh fruit. I want to tell my friends about this place but I also want to sort of keep it to myself as "our" little getaway. Anyone who visits Cheri and crew will enjoy themselves. Thanks Cheri!

Our stay at Prairieside was just perfect :)! We wanted something cozier, more romantic that a night at a big luxury hotel... And the home-like environment of Prairiside was just what we wanted. The room was cozy and beautifully decorated and it had everything we needed. The kitchen/living room was perfect for a sweet treat in the middle of the night--just like you would have it at home with your dear one. Thanks to everyone at Prairiesuites for making this happen!

After having some unforeseen circumstance, my wife and I were unable to go on our cruise. But we needed that getaway to reconnect and celebrate. This place was the best B&B we have ever been to. Well worth the 6 hour drive from the Cincinnati, OH area!!! My wife is a fanatic about cleanliness and the white glove test was much to her surprise. We stayed in the Southern mansion. Absolutely worth the money for our 2 day stay. We didn't want to leave. Food was phenomenal. Staff were pleasant and helpful! We will be returning guests to their many other rooms. Highly recommend and no other B&B will come close to this experience!!! Great job~and THANK YOU

AMAZING ROOMS! A little pricey, and pretty far from macomb michigan lol but it was sooo worth it. The full body massages were great and soo relaxing. It was above and beyond what I expected. Everyone was soo pleasant and the service was perfect. No one was all up under you, but they made sure that you were comfortable at all times and if you needed anything. Great privacy and great way to getaway. The rooms are renivated to perfection and they all have different themes to fit your mood :) The breakfast was a nice touch and so welcoming. I and my boyfriend completely enjoyed our stay and I am so glad I found this hidden treasure :) We will be returning again I am sure of it!

First, it was very nice that Prairieside was flexible with the length of their stay. We looked at literally dozens of B&Bs before we found one that would let us stay only Sunday and Monday of a holiday weekend. The others all required a Friday - Monday booking. When we arrived Cheri greeted us and showed us around the place. She took us up to the Beach House room where we stayed and it was wonderfully decorated and spacious. I think the thing that stands out most are all the little details that they have thought of. Of course the bed was comfortable, it was clean, and the whirlpool was awesome - but that is pretty much expected. Cheri and her staff had stocked the room with everything you might need and not find other places: cheese cutter, bottle openers, wine chiller, comfortable robes, heated towel racks, dishes, high quality soaps and lotion, a comfortable seating area, individual dimming lights on each side of the bed, labeling all the remote controls so you know what is what, a power strip attached to the desk so you can get all your electrical gadgets plugged in at the same time, etc. Breakfast was great both mornings of our stay. For the first morning we paid a little extra to have breakfast delivered to our room. We got cheesy scrambled eggs along with french toast and fresh fruit. Everything was delicious. The second morning we ate in the main dining room and had omelets along with an exceptional blueberry scone. I have only two tiny critiques. One, Cheri maintains a file of restaurants, attractions, etc. in the Grandville / Grand Rapids area. While this is great, we thought it might be more helpful if it was organized by categories such as "delivery options" "fine dining" "casual dining" rather than lumping everything together alphabetically. It was a little hard to find what we were looking for. Two, I though the quality of the coffee could have been a little higher. Those things said, it was a great trip and we plan on going back!

I am super late but myself and my boyfirend and another couple stayed here back in July and we were in awe from the time we arrived up until the time we left. We were running a bit behind sch on the check in date and Cheri made accomadations for us to still get a tour of the INN as well ask any questions that we may needed to be answered. It was not a rush job since we arrived at least an hour behind sch. I fell in love with this inn I stayed in the Southern Mansion and it was PERFECT so cute ,clean and romantic. I will def be a regular at this inn the website is great but you really have to go to see just how romantic and magical this place is. Thank you so much for this great experince. Tashia.

We visited Prairieside for a 2 night get away to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in the Santa Barbara Beach house. What an amazing and beautiful room Cheri, the innkeeper and designer, walked us through everything. They have a wealth of knowledge about the area and things to do. They have a drawer full of maps, directions and menus. It was all right there at our fingertips. Loved the room with the relaxing colors, the heated floor and toilet seat as well as the tub. The food each day was wonderful. They really listened to what we didn't like and adaptd accordingly. This is a place we will definitely go to again and refer to our friends.

This was the best bed and breakfast place ever! It was everything we needed before our baby arrives. The Beach House was awesome and beautiful! Cheri was amazing and the cake and hot cocoa was beyond delicious! It was in a very secluded spot and the jacuzzi was amazing! Overall, this trip was fantastic! and the breakfast was great! No complaints at all

This place really sets the food for romance. Everything you need is right in the room for you. The service is wonderful. The people there make you feel like you are a part of them and and they still give you your privacy. Cheri ad Paul and all the ladies have put so much thought love and kindness into this place you will NEVER EVER want to go home. The breakfast is very very very good. I mean it is so romantic and they give you a private tour. I can not forget the massage ladies are wonderful and the way they massage is something that you canot read about you have to feel for yourself. People! come and relax and eat breakfast a prairieside its sooooooo worth it!

I absolutely enjoyed our night of stay at this darling B&B. It was my first time at a B&B and had no idea what to expect... and this was beyond what I expected! My now fiancé made the reservations and he did not tell me anything it was a huge surprise! We were greeted with a smile and we left with a smile! No detail was left out and everything was very clean and neat. The accommodations were fantastic, we stayed in the French Riviera Room which is located in the main house in the basement area. As soon as you open the door to the room it is breath taking and you forget everything else. I was not only surprised by the room but the fact that we got engaged on the night that we stayed. He asked me to be his wife in downtown Grand Rapids which is just minutes from the inn. We will be back in the future no questions asked!

My loved one and I came here sight unseen for a single overnight stay in the French Riveria room on a short visit to this part of Michigan. Cheri was a JOY to work with over the phone and email. She was incredibly accommodating-and when she learned of our interest in wines and wineries, she sent us an amazing thorough list of local places we might enjoy (complete with directions from Prairieside, hours of the wineries, and little handwritten details about their operations)! Our suite was gorgeous, the whole house was gorgeous. And even though it was full of guests, we never knew it until breakfast, it was so quiet and private!. The gardens were beautiful, the house welcoming, clean, and open for lounging and exploration. It really was exactly like being in a private, incredibly beautiful and well kept home. And Cheri is a stickler for luxurious, warm details...from the warmed towels and popcorn in the room, to the gentle, scents that wafted through the home, to the fresh baked cookies and lemon bars with coffee, tea, and homemade cocoa that she kept available to us all of the time, to the gourmet breakfast she made, to the insanely comfortable bed and soft, soft linens...it was all very pampering, over-the-top with comfort. This is a very exclusive inn, but yet it's not terribly expensive, and not at all snooty. It is just so, so warm-clearly built with love, and with the customer in mind. We'll be back, as often as possible!

We've stayed at several B&B's over the years and this one by far excells over the others in every area! The decor (inside & out, & gardens), wonderful bed, soundproof, comfortable, marvelous food -- wow!

We stayed in the French Riviera Room. It was beautiful and relaxing. The staff worked hard to make you feel at home. We also upgraded to a massage package and it was worth the money. We recommend you giving Prarieside Suites B&B a try!

This was our second stay but won't be our last. We loved everything about it!

Absolutely fabulous. The room was beyond belief. The breakfast was double top notch. This our second trip there and it was. I had to stop because there are not enough words to describe the differences in the decore of the rooms. We stayed in the Spanish Hacienda last summer and picked the Tuscan Villa this time. What a great room choice. The rooms are awesome and the staff is wonderfull. Breakfast is beyond what I expected. I had to take a picture of the apple swan that was presented with breakfest this morning. I will be back hopefully sooner that later, but within the year. Love this place Dan & Diane, Lansing MI.

Cheri and her staff did an excellent job making our weekend a wonderful time. Cheri is great at taking care of the little details that many of the inn owners we have stayed with don't always see as important. Pampered was an accurate word for us at this inn. We had access to all the comforts of a great B&B like home-made snacks, a great movie selection, and a complete file of information for a large variety of activities and places around the Grand Rapids area. The room had lots of amenities most inns don't think to include like your own wine accessories in the room, heated towel racks and toilet seats in the bathroom, and electronic locks on the doors so you don't have to mess with keys and remember to return them when you leave. Cheri's staff was also very friendly and took care of any concerns we had. I also appreciated the variety of items for breakfast both mornings. I am grateful for the staff making sure all of the food did not have items my wife is allergic to. I am looking to staying there again.

We loved the place. Very relaxing and quiet. Can't wait to go back. Hopefully for two nights next time instead of one.

As soon as you walked in the door the pampering started. From homemade hot chocolate and cookies to a relaxing room. Loved everything about our stay.

We stayed for a post wedding get away! It was AMAZING. All of the staff were so friendly, the room was beautiful, and I loved that it was sooo close to everything. We will definatly be back!

The Spanish Hacienda was clean, beautiful and we found the decor to be very homey and inviting. We chose a B&B over another lodging alternative because my husband wanted to give me something different for my 50th birthday. Breakfast was very delicious and we loved how quiet our room was. Their friendly staff helped you if you needed something but otherwise left you alone.

Once again, we had a wonderful stay at Prairieside Suites. What a treat!

Cheri and Paul and the team were fantastic. My mom and I have stayed around the country in b&b's and this experience was one of our favorites. It is all about your happiness at this inn...and we felt at home. We can't wait to go back and also eat at the rainbow grill again...a suggestion from Cheri and Paul.....outstanding!

Prairieside was a peaceful, clean, friendly place to relax. We celebrated our 25th Anniversary there and it was romantic.

This was completely a disappointing experience. My husband and I were celebrating both our anniversary and his birthday and this place looked so promising from the pictures but the overall experience left me desiring another vacation. The place is gorgeous and the room was very nice. Breakfast was also nice. What was not nice was the feeling of being pushed around. From the moment I checked in, I felt like a number. The hostess (not the innkeeper) showed me very quickly through the inn even though I explained my husband was waiting in the car, rushed me down to my suite and that was that. Despite their advertisement about helping celebrate special occasions, they did neither. I specifically mentioned that this trip was for our anniversary and my husband's birthday but we were not treated special in any way. And with breakfast, I was disappointed, despite being asked what I wanted, to find that my request for no cheese was summarily ignored. The food was good but that ignoring of details seemed to be the theme for the trip. There were bits of food stuck to the channel guide which was gross. Also, I found the tip envelope included in the guest guide to be completely tacky. Finally, when we went to check out, I was honestly put off. The innkeeper asked me very quickly about my stay and then immediately tried to sell me on an B&B book that featured their inn. AND then she also asked (really told) my husband and I to vote for her inn and presented us with fully filled out ballots and pens to sign them. Excuse me? I was frankly disgusted. This is the second most expensive inn I've stayed at and the worst experience I've ever had. I felt both rushed and ignored. I do not recommend this place to anyone and will be on the hunt for something more welcoming the next time I'm in Grand Rapids.

Oh, gosh - this is Cheri the owner and innkeeper - and we're so disappointed when we can't please everyone. This couple was very sweet and looked like they were enjoying themselves in the French Riviera (one of our most private suites). At Prairieside Suites, we appreciate ALL feedback, but wish they would have spoken up during their stay instead of writing a negative review when now we don't have the opportunity to "fix" anything. With this specific guest, we assumed she wanted an Express Check-in because she specifically said her husband was in the car waiting and we always try to accommodate each guests unique situation. But after reading this review, we are going to start asking guests if they want an Express Check-in or our normal "House Welcome". Our spa rooms are professionally designed to pamper you during your special occasion. We are the owners and innkeepers, but the home, suites, and packages are all in place to set the stage to celebrate your special occasion. It's also important for us to honor the gift of privacy for our guests. This couple was here for a one-night stay and ordered breakfast to their room, which leaves little time for interaction. And of course, if breakfast wasn't perfect, we would have loved the opportunity to bring them a new one if they had notified us. We are always available on the other end of the phone and we always encourage guests to call us with questions or concerns. We know it’s important to do the little extras! That’s why we have additional pampering services and packages available for order -- from couple's massage to romance packages -- we're here to handle the details!

Cheri's livelihood is making sure your stay is the best it can be and then better the next time! We didn't need anything! We didn't WANT for anything, except the time alone we had come to seek..and easily found in the luxury of their B&B!

We were only able to stay one evening at Prairieside because we were only passing through to another location. However, we would have loved to have additional time to enjoy this wonderful bed and breakfast. Our room, the Southern Mansion, was extremely clean, large, felt very secluded, and was extravagent. The room's large whirlpool bath and hand-crafted king-size bed are only the beginning of the amenities available in this room. Cheri and Paul have thought of about anything you might want to create and enjoy a truly romantic get-away. Their house was beautiful. Landscaping was something to behold, and the property provides a private pool and lounging area. Truly would have liked to have spent more time at this treasure. If we get back to the area, we will definitely be stopping to enjoy more pampering at Prairieside. Would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to others. Only gave the dining experience a "4" because we asked for a continental breakfasat so we could leave early the next morning. It was a very nice breakfast, even though we could not stay to enjoy the home cooking. Suspect their breakfast would have been delicious after tasting the delicious treats they left for us the evening before! Enjoyed our stay!

This was an amazing place to stay. A definate place to go and spend some time. They thought of almost everything. The tub was extra large and the shower was amazing and the bed was comfortable. The private entrance made us feel like we were in a private condo and not someones home.

Prairieside Suites were beautiful, and well located in the Grand Rapids Michigan area. Our room was luxurious, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The gardens and pool area were beautiful. We had great meals both at the suites and conveniently located resturants. The staff made sure there was information and maps to both places to eat and sight seeing locations. Beautiful Lake Michigan was a short drive away, and so are magnificant Meyer Gardens. We enjoyed a couples massage. This was truly a great way to celebrate our 40th anniversary!

This was our first B&B experience, but certainly not our last! The place itself was very nice and provided a very romantic getaway, and the service was terrific. Breakfast the first day we personally enjoyed much more than the second day, but both were still delicious. My husband and I stayed over the 4th of July weekend. We had a great time. Our son was out of town with family, and we decided to jump on the chance to have a weekend alone. We both had a very relaxing time. We loved our room, which was the French Rivera. The staff was very friendly, and made us feel right at home. I wish I could have transported the room we stayed in back home with me. I will recommend this B&B to family and friends. The cocoa was wonderful

After that, he was around in case we needed anything but left us to our privacy as much as we wanted. Our room was beautiful and provided us with anything we could have desired for our romantic get-away. We slept well on the comfortable king bed with magnet mattress pad, had our choice of coffee, tea or hot chocolate in the room; there was a desk filled with any office supplies we could imagine, wireless internet, robes, in-room refrigerator. Cleanliness is important to us but we didn't find a speck of dust anywhere. The breakfasts were large and delicious and served by delightful staff. (Paul's bacon beats all.) We met Cheri later who is a delightful hostess. They were both very knowledgeable about things to do and places to eat in the area which helped us make the most of our time there. We spent a day in one of the towns on Lake Michigan and had a terrific meal in Grand Rapids. We had a wonderful time away and would heartily recommend this place to anyone as a perfect place to have a wonderful getaway.

The weekend that we stayed for my wifes birthday was beyond our imanignation we were awe-struck. Sheri and Paul bent over backwards to make it as awesome as it was. If you do not go here you are missing a real treet from the comfort to the food we are definately going back and soon......

Beautiful inn with warm, comfortable rooms. Very romantic with unexpected amenities; heated tile floor in bathroom, heated towel rack, wine cooler. Very attentive and friendly staff. I will definitely recommend Prairieside to friends and family. I hope to plan a return visit.

Prairieside was absolutely amazing! We stayed in the French Riviera and it was luxurious, warm, and comfortable. When we arrived Cheri welcomed us and showed us around the site. Not only are the common rooms cozy, but they also have baked treats all the time along with homemade hot coco. The room was FANTASTIC! We enjoyed every second we were in there. Not to mention, breakfast was delicious and the entire staff was amazing! I'd recommend getting the couples massages and then exploring what Grandville/Grand Rapids has to offer. If you're looking for a relaxing, romantic getaway... I'd say look no further! Prairieside has it all!

We have absolutely enjoyed our get-away at Prairieside Suites. The spacious Tuscan Villa is amazing, with a whirlpool tub, comfy bed, and many other wonderful amenities—even heated floors, towels, and toilet seat in the bathroom! Our hostess, Cheri, thinks of every little detail, and you must try the homemade hot cocoa available right in your room. Our breakfast was the perfect start to our day and cheerfully prepared and served by Victoria. We highly recommend Prairieside Suites and wish Cheri and Paul a happy and prosperous new year!

We stayed at Prairieside Suites for 2 nights during December 2010 and loved our time there. Cheri was extremely welcoming and showed us around the building - they have hot cocoa, tea, cake, cookies always available and they made a nice evening snack. The bedroom was very beautifully decorated, with great amenities like huge 2-person bathtub, non-fog mirror in bathroom and heated toilet seat. My husband and I spent the majority of our two day mini-vacation just relaxing at Prairieside Suites. Breakfast was wonderful and we had it delivered to our room so we didn't have to get out of bed! We did not explore the area much, but did enjoy dinner at a local japanese restaurant that made great sushi.

Thanks for being such great hosts [lot's of privacy] for our Holiday Weekend Getaway. Your B&B is really beautiful and a great setting for a romantic time away from home. The food and accommodations were perfect. We chose Prairieside Suites because of your internet rating and awards. We will definitely tell people about our stay and hope to return again soon.

I spent the weekend in the Spanish Hacienda with my girlfriend. The room was simply amazing. It was cozy and relaxing. They are not kidding when they tell you to not worry about bringing anything with you. They even included some bath salts for the jacuzzi. Plates, silverware, everything you could need is in the room for you. Cindy was great. Breakfast each morning was delicious. I wasn't feeling well one morning and when I sent my girlfriend to tell Cindy I wasn't going to make it to breakfast, she offered to make me a plate so my girlfriend could take it back down with her. That is great service. There were always cookies, cakes, and hot chocolate ready all day when ever you had a urge for something sweet. We will be back.

We spent our 5th anniversary here. The room was very nice. The owners were out of town and after we were shown to our room and around the house the person who showed us was gone and we were not able to ask any questions. For breakfast we had let them know that I was a vegetarian. The meal was scrambled eggs that had sausage cooked into it.

During each house welcome our guests are given a business card with my phone number and told that I am always available and to call me with any questions or if they need anything during their stay. I make a point to answer our phones and speak personally to our guests, I am sorry these guest didn't call me and ask whatever questions they had. My phone number with this same instructions is in the room directory too. Just as a note, we have a large house and maintain private quarters onsite. Our guests are here for privacy so it is normal for us to welcome you to our home, give you a phone number to contact us and disappear. We care about cooking in a way that pleases our guest and that is why we ask you to fill in information about preferences. We double checked our reservations and we didn't have any vegetarian requests for the whole month that this guest stayed with us and that is why they had meat in their eggs. So please fill in your personal preferences carefully because it is our goal to please you.

My wife and I have spent our anniversary in bed & breakfasts around the country and Prairieside Suites ranks as one of the very best. Cheri and Paul's attention to detail and the "over the top" service provided by their wonderful staff was far beyond our expectation. The proximity to downtown Grand Rapids provides many choices for entertainment. We are already planning our return!!!

It was our 21st anniversary and we decided to drive to an area in Michigan that we had never been to. Along the way we stayed in 3 different B&B's as is our custom. We splurged on the exact date of our anniversary to stay here ,as it was quite pricey, but the website kept saying how pampered you were going to be. First we were disappointed in the town as we drove through as it had nothing special to offer. It was a rather run- down town. When we drove up to the place we were sorry to have made the reservation. It is a plain looking single story home in the suburbs. The owner rushed us through the tour as they were hurrying to go out of town for the weekend. She left 2 brownies in our room and 2 cans of coke. We went to have some of their famous cocoa (which was very sweet) and were looking around for the cookies that the website said were always available. There were none, and when I called her to ask about them she hurriedly came over grabbed some out of the freezer and put them on a plate. All of her baked goods were frozen and none of them tasted home made. When in our room there were samples for her decorating business. That, we thought was beyond tacky. Apparently there are samples in all the rooms as the other people staying there had some in their room too. Our bed was very comfortable, and the tub and shower were great but the view was of the street in front of the house. If you're looking for a gourmet breakfast experience don't bother coming here as it was a poor breakfast at best. Omelet was not very good and the baked item had been in the freezer. We are big coffee drinkers and the coffee they serve is just south of swill. Value for money is very poor at this B&B. We did not feel pampered at all as they stressed, we felt neglected as we never saw the owners after the rush job upon our arrival. Would never stay here again or remotely recommend it. We can't understand how it got high ratings. Our advice is to go elsewhere!

It is our philosophy at our B&B that it's important to welcome our guests with a brief tour of the common areas, show them their room, answer any questions they may have and then disappear....giving our guests the privacy and relaxation they're here for and deserve. Everyone is given my business card with my phone number and they are encouraged to call me with any questions OR if they need anything.

We bake ahead and freeze our cookies because it keeps them fresh and moist [we don't want to serve day-old baked goods]. This works well because whether we have 2 guests or 10 guests, we can keep a wonderful supply and variety available.

We have "Maxwell House" coffee packs in our rooms, along with tea and our homemade hot cocoa. We put a couple sodas in your room refrigerator for each day of your stay. We have a choice of 8 different kinds of soda and ask your preference, if you don't choose anything then I'll often put something in [just in case]. We serve "Bigby's" French Roast- fresh ground coffee in the dining room at breakfast. Our guests often remark on how much they like the fresh flavorful "coffee house" taste.

If you look at our pictures you can see we have a two story home. We're located in the suburbs [Grandville] only 6 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids. Please look on our area attractions page for ideas on things to do when you're here. We have 40 restaurants, a 20-screen movie theater and the largest regional mall in Michigan within 4 minutes of our door plus restaurants, an antique store, library, Wedgewood park and two local pubs that are within walking distance. I guess this proves you can't make everyone happy but I will admit that we really do try!

My husband and I stayed in The Tuscan Villa for our honeymoon and our entire stay was fantastic! The room was spacious and had everything you could possibly think of. The attention to detail is incredible! We had continental breakfast one morning and came out for breakfast the other day. Both were great! We loved the pool, the whirlpool tub, and the jetted shower. Also the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! I ask my husband to bring me back there every month! :) Can't wait to book our next reservation.

We stayed at the Prairieside Suites for our anniversary and found it to be just what we were looking for. They make sure every detail of your stay is perfect. We felt welcomed and yet still had the privacy we like. We will be back again next year unless we can sneak away sooner. It's by far the best B & B we have ever stayed at.

We celebrated our 1st anniversary at Prairieside Suites. It was the most wonderful experience. We had a delicious breakfast every morning, had a nice relaxing swim in the pool everyday, and we loved the beautiful swing where we enjoyed some nice quiet conversations. We recently stayed in the Spanish Hacienda Suite. It was very quiet, very peaceful and had everything we needed and much more. The staff was great and the food was awesome. We have already recommended it to others, thank you for a memorable experience.

Rooms were exceptional. We were very pleased with quality and detail of the French Riviera suite. The morning chefs were excellent! Staff was very attentive to our needs. Chef was aware of my food allergy and made sure that it was prepared appropriately.

The room was very nice - lots of amenities you don't have at home (whirlpool tub, heated tile floors, etc). Breakfast was good, though a little more variety/choices would be welcome.

I cannot possibly say enough nice things about Prairieside. Even before we arrived for our stay, Cheri called us to find out what we liked to eat for breakfast! We were welcomed by Paul when we arrived and were given a nice tour of the home. Everything is immaculately clean and welcoming. We ordered our breakfast delivered hot to our room and it was amazing!! We even got fresh salsa to put on our omelets. We are already planning our next trip and can't wait to stay again. This was a fantastic way to spend the night during the cold winter. My wife and I were so impressed with the room. We stayed in the Tuscan Villa Suite. The room was so beautiful we didn't want to leave. We could not believe how special this romantic stay at Prairieside was. The food, service and amenities were absolutely fabulous. Everything was incredible. We highly recommend it and are telling all our friends. We hope to return on our next Anniversary.

For our romantic Valentines day getaway, my husband and I stayed in the Spanish Hacienda. The room was beautiful, so cozy and quiet. The whole house was perfect, and again so beautiful. The rooms are all decorated in their own theme and are very unique. You won't confuse this Bed and Breakfast with any others. Very nice people!

We have TV's plus VCR/DVD players. Our universal remote controls have to be programed and what happened was one of our guest suites has a hardwood floor and when the remote control hit the floor it broke. Unfortunately the prior guest didn't tell us and we didn't know until the new guest arrived. The next day we had someone techi'er than me do the programming. The moral of the story is...if something isn't working or breaks during your stay please tell the innkeeper so the next guest isn't inconvenienced.

We visited the Prarieside Suites for a weekend getaway based on the website and reviews. The experience exceeded our expectations. The hosts were warm and congenial. The staff was wonderful and the food was a step above in terms of freshness and appearance. The room had a number of pleasant surprises from the heated tile in the bathroom to one of the most comfortable beds we have been in.

We are "locals" who just wanted a mid winter escape. Very nice, modern room with all of the conveniences. Was a surprise for my wife. As they say, "happy wife, happy life."

My husband and I spent our anniversary at Prairieside Suites in the English Garden suite and it was awesome! You know how you see an ad, and think it proably doesn't look like that or its just pictures for advertising, well.......it's what you see and a whole lot more! It was like visiting a relative. Cheri and Paul are like freinds. Vickie was very nice and warm. The whole atmosphere was relaxing and charming! We were there for Christmas day (our anniversary) and had not made any dinner resevations anywhere and everything was closed. Cheri had made a big pot of soup and bread. Boy was that a blessing and right on time. We do plan on a return. And we will tell everyone who would like a romatic get-away or any kind of get-away about Prairieside Suites. Prairieside Suites is just what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Cheri and Paul were gracious hosts. The breakfasts were delicious and the Tuscan Villa was remarkable.

We stayed at this B & B because of the reviews we read online while visiting friends in Grand Rapids. It was fabulous! Beautifully decorated, clean rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast and comfortable bed! The combination of Cheri's decorating and Paul's building skills make this a one of a kind place. It's all in the details. During our 24 hour stay we never saw another guest until breakfast. We enjoyed their company so much that we ended up departing much later than planned. Nancy & Scott

We booked our stay the very day of check in and Cherie met all requests and even went overboard to show some care in assuring our stay was just perfect. I decided to surprise my husband for a weekend away because he does so many nice things for me. Even though Grandville wasn't too far from where we live, a night away, to be pampered, is a nice treat. We stayed in the French Riviera, and it was beautiful. The room was cozy and warm. Super clean and well decorated. The jacuzzi and fireplace set the scene for a romantic night with my favorite guy. The hosts went beyond the call of duty and made us feel very welcome. Everything was just stunning and Adrienne sure enjoyed her own little private space too. We were so comfortable, I wish we could have stayed longer. This was the best stay my husband and I ever experienced. The room was spotless and had everything you could imagine from a wine bottle cooler to European shower jets, and heated tile floor. We only got to stay for one night, but that was the most romantic night we experienced since our honeymoon almost 10 years ago. The grounds were beautiful with a fountain and an in ground pool with a waterfall flowing into it. I would recommend this stay to everyone. If you haven't experienced a bed and breakfast, you should start with Prairieside Suites, you will always return because there is nothing else out there like them.

This was the most outstanding place we have ever stayed. We love to travel and have many comparisons, but this B&B was the most luxurious, pampering experience ever. The room Decor was fantastic, every comfort thought of and provided, right down to the heated bathroom floor and toilet seat! My husband and I went here for our 10th anniversary and it was wonderful! Cherri was very nice and we had all the privacy we needed. This bed and breakfast is in a great location, small town feel but lots to do around here. The rooms were just gorgeous! Cherri decorates them just lovely and the room had all the little touches of being in a luxury hotel! And breakfast the next day was just wonderful, they even went out of the way to cook me something different from everyone else since I had an allregy to eggs! we would 100% come back to stay here again, I would recomend this place to anyone looking for a great escape and a really nice bed and breakfast to stay at, thanks Cherri

I wanted somewhere nice to take my wife of 17 years, being in the Navy has caused me to move around alot. We just got back to the states after 5 years in Japan. I was blessed to find Praireside Suites while surfing the internet. The Staff there blessed us with there warm customer service and smiles. I refer to the English Cottage as my Western Michigan office. When traveling overnight, I enjoy 'my' room at PSS as it feels like pampering when I am really working! (no, really, I am working....)

They were right. After we read this review we filled the whirlpool in the room next door, turned it on and it was loud! We immediately had it repaired, their was something wrong with the motor. We value their honest comments, at Prairieside Suites was want to "CREATE" an "EXPERIENCE" not just a stay!

The English Cottage in the Praireside Suites served as our home away from home. Besides being beautiful to look at, it had practically anything we could have asked for - starting with welcome juices in the small refrigerator in our room. After our long drive, the cool drinks were refreshing and filling. The snow was scenic, but the heated toilet seat and heated towel racks were an extra comfort in cold Michigan. We had brought a wedding veil for my daughter's reception and I was able to get out the wrinkles with the handy iron and mini ironing board. The room was equipped with a home office, and the latest in home furnishings. The breakfasts were tasty and filling, and beautifully presented. We would definitely recommend the Praireside Suites to anyone visiting the area.
