The Kingsley House

We stayed just one night and found the Kingsley House to be a great find. The Innkeeper was very warm and welcoming and the B & B had a lot of extra touches that made our stay comfortable. Their coffee and tea was accompanied by flavored syrups to add to your beverage as one example. Having menus for area restaurants readily available, a frig stocked with bottled water, chocolates and cookies on the table to greet us, are just a few more special details that added value to our stay at the Kingsley House. Although some of "in the middle of nowhere" there is an outstanding restaurant in town called "Salt of the Earth". We would recommend the Kingsley House to anyone interested in a B & B in southwest Michigan.

We only spent one night at the Kingsley, but that was enough to make it the best B & B we've stayed in. Our hostess greeted us immediately and had lots of suggestions as to what local and nearby attractions were and how to get to them. We tried some of them and were pleased. Our room was quaint and Victorian but had air conditioning and shower plus TV. The beds were soft and comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. The next morning we had a tasty and well presented breakfast on the wide front porch. We enjoyed the lovely gardens and took pictures of some of the beautiful flowers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again some time.

I was wonderfully surprised by the great time we had at the Kingsley House this past November. The room was clean and ready when we got there and the bathroom had a two person jacuzzi tub which was very romantic. There was also a large selection of DVDs which we could use at anytime. The food was great and there was plenty of it. Terrie was very helpful and a delightful host. I'm sure we will be returning soon!

We were a little dismayed at first, as we learned after booking that the location was in Fennville and not in Saugatuck. All that changed when we got there! Beautifully kept gardens complement the architectural splendor of the inn. We stayed in the Cider Nook, and were right away thrilled with our own private entrance! The room was just big enough, complemented by a spacious bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. The breakfasts simply blew us away! The location turned out perfect, as we easily got to Saugatuck in minutes. But there's only so much to see and do in town, and it was great being so close to the other things we knew we had to see and do. Cranes pantry is just down the road, and horseback riding was also only a couple miles away. From what we had seen of other are B&Bs online, as well as from walking around Saugatuck, we know we made a great choice and will definitely be back. We loved it so much, later the day we returned home we were at a wedding and ended up calling the inn around 10 to book a room for our friends' honeymoon.

This was an amazing overnight stay. My husband was reticent about the whole B&B experience, but was very pleased. We chose the smallest room -- next time will choose a little larger (could have used more horizontal space) but loved it, loved it. The breakfast was wonderful.

My boyfriend and I spent two nights (June 8-10) in the Dutchess room at the Kingsley Inn. Overall, we were pleased with our stay. The room was a little cozy but clean and the bed was very comfortable. The biggest disappointment was that the bathroom was literally a converted closest. If you are a plus sized person I would not recommend this room simply because of the size of the shower (tiny!!!). The breakfast was good but a little early for a vacation (8:00-9:00am). We did not arrive back to the Inn both nights until after midnight then had to be up for breakfast at 8. The Inn keepers were pleasant and offered advice on activities to do in the area.

We visited The Kingsley House using a Groupon, but we are hooked for life. What a wonderful place! Welcoming, friendly, AWESOME FOOD, great rooms. We had a private entrance that was very nice. It was just such an amazing experience - sad we were only able to get away for one night. Will be back.

Details. details. They thought of them all. Dreamy jazz music playing in the sitting room, a closet of things you may have forgotten, water, lots of dvds, soda, homemade cookies and brownies all day. [ just in case you didn't get enough to eat at breakfast ha! fat chance] Breakfasts to talk about with your friends later, great cheese, chocolates and wine basket, lovely rooms, even an umbrella stand full of umbrellas just in case. Can't wait to see the lovely grounds in the summer. great restaurants and things to do.

Such a relaxing and beautiful B&B. Service was amazing and Dave makes you feel that it is your home. Breakfast was very tasty and love the homemade brownies and cookies.

What a fantastic place to have a romantic getaway. We have not often been able to visit bed and breakfasts in the past due to my dietary issues. The Kinsley House staff accommodated my needs with no issues and at no extra cost, and the food was wonderful. The service was amazing, and the price was incredible due to a coupon. I can't imagine a better spot to spend time renewing and reconnecting.

We were warmly greeted and shown around the inn. Our room was wonderful. We enjoyed our jacuzzi and the fireplace but especially enjoyed playing games and reading in the turrit sitting room. The breakfast was outstanding. We loved all the little details that made our stay special: games and movies to borrow, a basket of things in case we had forgotten something at home (which we had!), York peppermints in the room, and delicious cookies in the entry way. We loved it all.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Kingsley House. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone. As a special note to the Inn Keeper: "Great Job!"

This is the second year in a row we have stayed at your beautiful bed and breakfast; again everything was first class. So far we have tried two different rooms, each exceeding the other in quality and comfort. Please continue to operate this B&B as well as you have.........

Kingsley House is an elegant and peaceful bed and breakfast and one of the best I've ever seen. Jeff and Dave go out of their way to make guests comfortable, from the dvd's and "last minute basket" to the afternoon treats. The breakfast is delicious, creative, and filling. We've been to Kingsley House twice now, and it feels like coming to a second home.

I usually don't post reviews, but since I relied on these heavily to decide which B&B to stay at for our trip, I decided to do so. I will just start with the food. Excellent! My wife and I can not stop raving about the two breakfasts we had. The french toast Sunday morning alone made the trip worth while. The only problem was that I felt so full after breakfast, and felt like I just needed to rest. The food in Douglas and Saugatuck was also spectacular. My wife loved the comfortable down home feel, and the stay was very relaxing. We stayed in the Dutchess room, and it looks to be the most roomy of the second floor rooms. In regards to the small bathrooms, the house is over 100 years old! It's nice to have the in room bathroom, and I wouldn't have expected anything different from a 100 year old house that was converted into a B&B. This was our first B&B experience, but for sure not our last. They have set a presedence, that will be hard to follow.

We recently stayed at the Kingsley House and got the Romantic Package. We were so impressed with everything from the wonderful and clean accomodations, to the delicious breakfast. The owner, Dave, was gracious and helpful. THe bed was comfortable and the massages were fantastic! We would definately stay here again.

Our trip was just what the doctor ordered as both of us needed to recover from city life and working far too many hours. Thanks for reminding us to take time to live life for us. Everything was top notch--your attentiveness and attention to details was very much appreciated.

My wife and I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts over the years. The Kingsley House ranks as one of the best we ever stayed at. Dave was very welcoming and informative about things we could do in the area. Our room was spectacular, clean, and the house very well maintained. We could easily get a beverage or dvd to watch. Breakfast was wonderful and we were provided a full range of eating options from fresh fruit to eggs and sausage. the Kingsley House is the getaway that my wife and I were looking for. I highly recommend it.

We sincerely enjoyed our stay, it was a gift and we were really not expecting to have such a nice time. Our picnic lunch was the frosting on the cake especially after we found a quiet gazebo on the waterfront where we dined and spent a peaceful hour.

Beautiful home, nice accommodations, fantastic food. The Innkeepers greeted us, showed us around and did their best to stay hidden the rest of our stay, they were not overly warm or attentive. Some may like this, we did not.

We stayed in the Cider Nook suite, which was a cozy room in the lower level of the house. Upon arriving we were greeted warmly by the innkeeper and given a tour of the beautiful house. They offer many amenities, such as a guest closet with many games, cold beverages, and items guests may have forgotten to bring along (small sewing repair kit, toothpaste, sunscreen) and also a very large collection of movies. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi tub.

Our kids buy us a stay at a B&B each year for our anniversary and after staying at Kingsley House, we are spoiled rotten. We already told out kids we want to return here each year as it was far and away the best we've stayed in. Beautiful house, meticulous details, amazing breakfast, and so close to so many things to do. Who could ask for anything more?

We had an unbelievable stay at the Kingsley House. Very romantic, very private, excellent food, ambience, location, service. Wish we were back there right now!

The outside of the house is maintained well. The food is good and the they offer nice snacks and drinks. I didn't like the coffee (I know I'm being picky, but something to keep in mind). The owners were nice but not overly warm. Not a big problem at all, but something to note. Overall we enjoyed our stay. They were very accommodating, and made our stay comfortable and pleasant.

We have stayed at the Kingsley House in the fall and winter months for our anniversary and birthdays, so we decided it was time to see it in the summer months. What amazed us this time was the number of repeat guests they had at the Inn, but then that speaks for itself. We were one of six couples at the Inn on a couple of recent weekdays and five of the six were repeat guests (including ourselves). That says a lot for the way these guys run the B&B. A few more things we noticed this time around....the breakfasts are always amazing and always different, the landscaping and gardens are gorgeous, and we have now loved every one of the four rooms/suites we have tried. Can't wait to go back again! We love it here!

Enjoyed the stay very much. Room was a bit small, but decorated beautifully and charming.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Kingsley House. The house itself was beautiful and very well kept. The food was also amazing with lots of variety. These are the things you expect at a good B&B, but it was all the little extras that really set the Kingsley House apart. There is a hot beverage machine with all kinds of drinks, fresh cookies, a large DVD collection, free personal items you may have forgotten, and more. Dave and Jeff really take pride in what they do and it shows. They have created a B&B with a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The location just outside of Saugatuck is also perfect. It is in a very quiet area, but downtown and the beach are a short drive away.

I recently broke my foot & needed some time to recuperate. I booked a weekend at the Kingsley, staying in the Braeburn suite. We had a private entrance, all the privacy and quiet we could ask for. Dave was there for anything we could have possible needed. It was exactly what the doctor ordered and I spent my afternoons swinging in the shade on the hammock. We loved this place! From the endless cookie jar to the outstanding (and very unique!) breakfasts, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! They catered to our every need and were wonderful hosts! We enjoyed swinging on the front porch and reading inside the sitting room with quiet music in the background. Also, it is so close to Saugatuck, Douglas and Holland that there is plenty to do if you want to go out and about! The inn was amazing and we can't wait to go back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay as we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary! The Northern Spy Suite was so romantic and the April special of 2 nights for the price of 1 was icing on the cake! Each room is so uniquely decorated, the food and snacks phenomenal, and the innkeeper only there when you need him :) Highly recommended!

We can't say enough about the wonderful experience we had at the Kingsley House. We were able to unwind, relax, pampered with massages, large DVD library, romance package, lots of extras, fine dining.... Probably not a good place to go if you want to stay on your diet, but we didn't mind going off of ours for a brief indulgence. If you're looking for a great romantic escape, they've got it covered. Thanks guys!! We're definitely fans and will be returning.

We booked a room at the Kingsley House as a last minute trip for Valentine's Day. We stayed in the cozy Jonathan Suite. The room had a wonderful tub, although difficult to shower in. The bed was very comfortable and the romantic fire place really warmed the room. Breakfast was fantastic, we will be talking about it for a long time!

This was our first visit to the Kingsley House and I can tell you from experience it was a fun filled and enjoyable stay. The home has so much history and is so comfortable. We met some new friends and on several occassions spent time talking and enjoying each others company. The food was absoutely delicious. We stayed in the Granny Smith Suite, it was very nice and comfortable. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone who would like to take a trip back in time and at the same time have all the comforts of home. Truly a remarkable home.

My husband and I stayed at the end of January to celebrate our ninth anniversary. The accomodations are very nice and inviting. The service was very pleasant. We stay at many B&B's and found this to be better than average, warm and welcoming. Dave and Jeff do a wonderful job.

You exceeded our expectations with your wonderful breakfasts. Our hot tub was great after a day of cross country skiing and the sleigh ride. We look forward to staying with you again however we would pick a second floor room next time as we did not like the room in the basement. Thank you for everything

This is our fourth stay at the Kingsley House and the only negative was that we were only able to stay for one night. Our room was beautifully decorated but very very comfortable and even had a window seat. As usual our breakfast had a huge variety of foods from stuffed french toast with walnuts to quiche to melon and strawberries to some of the most delicious yogurt I have every tasted. A variety of homemade cookies in the evening were perfect after our dinner at one of the local restaurants. One of the reasons we keep going back to Kingsley is all of the amenities.....a wonderful selection of DVD's, music, magazines, books, games, the evening cookies, tea and coffee, fireplaces in the rooms and a refrigerator stocked with water and beverages. The Kingsley is also very conveniently located near wineries, ski facilities, antique stores and fine dining. We highly recommend the Kingsley.

Great relaxing experience. Enjoyed the rest, local dinning, pubs, and shopping. The massage in the morning was AWESOME. Will book again. We were sad to have to cut our stay short.

The Kingsley House was an outstanding choice for B&B in the Saugatuck area. The rooms and service were great! Dave and Jeff prepared a wonderful breakfast and where more than hospitable. Great time, great people, and a beautifully romantic time at the Kingsley House!

We loved The Kingsley House in every way except the size of the Granny Smith "Suite." We believe that the common understanding of "suite" is that it has a separate sitting room. That is what we were expecting. Not only was there not a separate room, the king-sized bed filled what space there was so completely that there was no night stand on the right side of the bed, a serious deficiency for drinking or snacking in bed or for placing a book or magazine when it's lights-out. Furthermore, the bathroom was microscopic with the sink being in the main room -- not a situation associated with expectations for a suite.

This is my favorite B&B in the area...the house is immaculate, the inn keepers are so hospitable and the breakfast AMAZING. This inn is all about the details, great place to stay

Kingsley House will always hold a special place on our memory as a charming and cozy first B&B experience. Dave thoroughly and thoughtfully introduced us to all of the amenities of the B&B upon our arrival and was then available for any questions we may have had without being in any way intrusive. Wonderful experience!

We LOVED it! It is so peaceful and romantic with the christmas decorations, holiday music, yummy goodies and breakfast.... The Innkeeper is very friendly and makes you feel right at home in this grand Inn. Definitely a must for a summer return.

We stayed at the Kingsley House for our Honeymoon in November. We had a very relaxing and romantic stay. The food was amazing and we felt very welcome there. We would definitely go back again sometime.

What a beautiful, relaxing environment in which to celebrate! From the jacuzzi to the scrumptious breakfasts and bottomless cookie jar/cider - it was just fantastic! The massages were wonderful as well. We stayed in one of the cozy basement rooms with a private entry (basement really doesn't fit, however, as it was intimate, cozy, warm, and inviting). The restaurant down the street is amazing as well, and Saugatuck is charming. Plus, the house is very centrally located for doing the Michigan Wine Trail or heading to one of the bigger cities nearby for some nightlife. Nice place for a little escape!

This was the perfect weekend away. The small town is charming in the fall and the hot cider Dave put out was delicious. The breakfast is worth getting up for, and if you can coordinate a hot air ballon to propose it is even better! The local dining and wine was incredible. Am ready to come back!

The Kingsley House is the perfect place to recharge and relax. The hosts are creative, friendly, and aim to please. Always our first choice for a great get-away spot!

Dave went above and beyond. We had to leave early in the morning and were not able to stay for breakfast, so he packed us a breakfast to go.

We've stayed at the Kingsley House three times now and have experienced three different suites now and have never been disappointed. The suites all are very private and you feel like you are the only couple in the Inn until breakfast time. On our most recent trip, we stayed in the Cider Nook and loved it...very private and quiet romantic spacious suite. And the food is absolutely amazing! Every trip we have made to the Kingsley House, we have always experienced new and scrumptious food! Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Kingsley House for two weekdays in October. We used their weekday special, where we got the room of our choice as well as a $40 gift certificate to Salt of the Earth Restaurant. It was a great deal. We got one of the hot tub rooms (the Cider Nook), a great dinner at Salt of the Earth, and a delicious breakfast both days. My only complaint is that the Cider Nook doesn't have any windows--this isn't the innkeepers fault, just how it is. Otherwise, the house was great. Board games, movies, bottled water, and cookies were always available. The bed was comfortable, and the hot tub was great. The breakfast was awesome. And the dinner at Salt of the Earth was amazing. Overall, we loved it and would recommend it to anyone visiting this area of Michigan.

Such a lovely place in a quiet, peaceful area. The attention to detail is fabulous, everything seemed to be covered. The fall decour was outstanding. Breakfast was relaxed and quite tasty. The bed was very comfortable, the only negative (and it's nitpicking) was the bathroom in our room (The Duchess) was a little small for a big guy. We loved how the staff was available if needed but receded to the background otherwise. It was as if we had the place to ourselves. It was just a really, really nice place to stay and we would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone staying in the area!

Great place where the owner takes care of every detail. In the afternoon he had complimentart carmel apples, and the cookie jar is always full, as is the beverage refrigerator. I've stayed at many B&Bs across the US and Dave's breakfast was the best I've ever had! Rooms were exceptionally clean as was the entire B&B. Would definitely stay again.

The detail in all areas is unbeatable,rooms,services,cleanliness,and the BREAKFAST makes the Kingsley House the Best by far. We"ll be back.

Absolutely the best B&B we've experienced. We like B&B's and generally have stayed in them in Europe and the NE of the U.S., but have not experienced one as hospitable as the Kingsley. The Innkeepers treat their guests like family in every way....from the food to the rooms to every little touch in the amenities and beyond. You MUST also eat at Salt of the Earth restaurant while staying at Kingsley. It's just a couple of blocks from the Inn and fantastic dining!

We typically stay at B&Bs when we travel (from coast to coast) but none of them compare to Kingsley Inn. We agree with the other reivews here about the Inn's beauty, the great breakfasts, the amenities etc. But what truly set it apart for us was just how personable and friendly the Innkeepers were. They truly went out of their way to help us with planning our stay and making everything as nice as possible. It really was like visiting close relatives. Except we can't wait to visit again. :)

A mixup in the internet reservation meant we spent only one night there (the second of two we'd planned). Dave called the next morning to say the room was ready and we were welcome to check in early. Very personal and thoughtful! Lovely place.

Our children gave us a gift card for a B&B and we chose The Kingsley House by searching on line.We loved it. There are so many "little extras"...Dave has thought of everything. The breakfasts were amazing. Terrific hospitality...we can't wait to go back!

If you're looking for a romatic getaway, this is the right B&B. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful and the surroundng cities are great places to spend your days.

Kingsley House was a wonderful, relaxing getaway. The breakfast was amazing and Dave went out of his way to make us comfortable with the Inn amenities. I felt very pampered and well-taken care of and Kingsley House was well-located being close to Douglas, Saugatuck, and Holland, MI.

My wife and I spent August 28th and August 29th staying at the Kingsley House. We had a glorious peaceful and relaxing time. The room was wonderfully decorated and everything was extremely clean and neat. The two breakfasts that we had were just plain outstanding and delicious. We loved eating outside on the porch, even though it was a bit cool. I am sure that we will return there because of its comfort and its closeness to Lake Michigan.

We did a "mini" honeymoon here and it was nice. A little on the old fashioned type, be we didn't mind. The service was great, and there are many great little perks in the house itself. Totally recommend the Cider Nook...private entrance, and very cozy!

The Northern Spy Suite at the Kingsley house made it feel as though we were the only ones in the house, even though there were at least 7 other couples there. The service was remarkable; there was nothing that we went without. Breakfast at the Kingsley house kept you smiling and satisfied until dinner time. My husband and I truly enjoyed our four day stay at The Kingsley House. It served as a great homebase for exploring South Haven, Saugatuck and Holland. We stayed in the McIntosh Chamber which was beautifully decorated in blue and white. The breakfasts were very tasty. My husband especially enjoyed the fresh fruit every morning. I am a very finicky eater and I was able to find something to eat every morning. The afternoon snacks and the guest refrigerator were also very convenient. The lack of hot water was a bit of an issue each morning, but I attribute part of that issue to inconsiderate and/or inexperienced B & B travlers who didn't understand jacuzzi tub etiquette. I highly recommend The Kingsley House and hope to have another opportunity to visit in the future.

We arrived on Sunday evening. Check in was very efficient and professional. The Brae Burn suite exceeded our expectations with a private entrance and beautiful garden/veranda seating. Breakfast both mornings was wonderful. We will return to Kingsley House. Cindra and Tom

This was one of the best B&B that we have ever been to. The hospitality was incredible from the moment we stepped in the door. They have thought of everything. One day it rained and there was a closet full of board games, a cabinet full of movies, warm brownies set out and a refrigerator full of cold pop to make sure we still had a great time. Our room was cozy and romantic... the perfect atmosphere to celebrate our anniversary.

We stayed Tuesday to Thursday for our 25th anniversary. Breakfasts were excellent, the room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The grounds and gardens were beautiful and well maintained. Close proximity to a number of attractions was a bonus.

A wonderful place to stay! The home is so beautiful, and we're so glad we were able to stay there. The innkeepers are so nice and helpful! We stayed in the Braeburn room, which had it's own side entrance which was very nice. A very clean, cozy, and just a wonderful getaway! I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone!

We were married at the Kingsley House on July 18, 2009. Dave and Jeff made our wedding perfect, they took care of every detail. They're hospitality was very outstanding, they went out of they're way to make our stay truley perfect. I would recommend the Kingsley House to anyone, it was a truley romantic experience. The gourmet breakfast that they serve in absolutely outstanding! We plan to go back for another stay on our first anneversary.

We have stayed in B&B's throughout the South and The Kingsley House rivals anyone of them. It is quaint, quiet, lovely rooms and the landscaping is beautiful. We would return anytime and it is only 6 miles from Saguatuck.

Spent a few days in the Sagatuck area and stayed at two different B&B's. Both were good, but the Kingsley House was inviting, warm, clean, and the host was terrific. I will book again when I am in the area. The breakfast was wonderful!

My wife and I had talked about getting away to a bed and breakfast for years. The Kingsley House B&B greatly exceeded our expectations. The hospitality was top rate. The food was very unique and delicious. The location was fantastic- just minutes from fine dining, the beach, a winery and recreational parks. We look forward to making a return trip!

My mother and I paid our second visit to Kingsley House in June 2009. Once again we were delighted with the entire experience. Breakfast on the beautiful porch is a delight. The proximity to Saugatuck and many other points of interest is wonderful.

We had a terrific anniversary getaway at the Kingsley House. While the house and furnishings are wonderfully historic, the service, snacks, breakfast and extras throughout the stay were perfect!

What a wonderful two days we seven friends & sisters spent enjoying the food, rooms, service and attention to details. The Innkeeper, Dave Drees, even provided especially tasty gluten free meals for one of us. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the porch beckons to be enjoyed by candlelight and a bottle of wine. And don't forget the never empty cookie jar.

We travel to Fennville to visit relatives about twice a year. Each time we pass The Kingsley House we always said some day we would stay there. Our children made our dream come true when they gave us a weekend in the "dream house" for Christmas. Our stay was more than we ever expected. Our room was unbelieveable (like a little girl's dream of a castle), the service fantastic and the food will never be matched. Thank you for making it a memorable stay for us and we plan to return soon.

we had the opportunity for a one night stay at the Kingsley and it made this leg of our trip so pleasant. Clean, comfortable, friendly and a wonderful breakfast to set us back on the road.

My husband and I have never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast prior to our weekend at The Kingsley House. What a wonderful choice we made when making our reservations! Dave and Jeff were very warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The decor in the house is lovely and I did not expect the abundant little touches that made the weekend so special and memorable. The food served at The Kingsley House was delicious and plentiful. My husband and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and we wanted something special. the Kingsley house was perfectly accomadating. We wanted something relaxting and we found it here. From the room to the breakfast everything was perfect. We recommend this to anyone who wants a romantic special getaway.

We stayed in the Northern Spy room and enjoyed our visit immensely. Dave, the innkeeper, did a fantastic job in all aspects. The food was exquisite. Extra details such as the DVD cabinet, game closet, complementary sodas, waters, and hot beverages, and bottomless cookie jar put this B & B above the rest. I highly recommend it!

We stayed at Kingsley House for our first anniversary. It was beautiful, private, and we could not get enough of the afternoon baked treats. I would definitely recommend the inn, and we will certainly be back again soon!

We just returned home from our stay in the Cider Nook..this was our first stay at a B&B, and it was better than we couldve dreamed...the privacy that the Cider Nook provided us was just what we needed to unwind from our everyday lives..the breakfasts were wonderful..the first morning I was unable to join everyone in the main room, our hosts were thoughtful enough to make up a plate for me to enjoy in our room...the atmosphere is warm and inviting..we will most definately be returning for future visits..eventually staying in each unique room.... Thank you Kingsley House for allowing us to unwind in your beautiful home.

Wonderful place for a relaxing getaway. We loved the sitting room of the Northern Spy and the breakfast was fantastic!

This was the most perfect place to celebrate our 45 th. anniversary, not only was it beautiful but romantic and peaceful as well. There was nothing more that we could have asked for, every detail was attended to including wonderful breakfasts. We will certainly be going back to the Kingsley House again.

Our first B and B experience. Everything was excellent! The house was adorable and very cozy. The breakfast was wonderful and the cookies were yummy! Dave and Jeff are excellent hosts! We did the wine lover's weekend which included a winery tour and a 6 course Italian dinner...wine paired to each course...fabulous, fabulous, fabulous! We also met some get couples! We'll definitely be back!

This kingsley house is beautiful and very relaxing. The breakfasts where wonderful with lots of different things to try. We got messages that where outstanding and much needed. The house is like stepping back in time. We where in the Cider Nook room which was in the cellar. This was very quiet and cozy. We plan to stay again in October 2009 in the top of the house. The town of Fennville has lots to offer also. I highly recomend the Kingsley House.

My husband and I were tired of the same old thing on New Years Eve so we participated in the Murder Mystery and stayed for 2 nights at the Kingsley House. Great time, great food, and great hosts! We will go back this summer!

The Kingsley House was a great chose for a weekend getaway. The house was beautiful and full of historic charm and Dave, the innkeeper, made this a great choice.

We just needed to get away for a couple of days alone after a hectic holiday week. We had driven past the Kingsley House in Fennville several times on our way to Lake Michigan, and decided that someday we would try it. Last weekend was that opportunity, and we were not dissapointed in the least. A beautiful historic home, close to Saugatuck, Douglas, Holland, and Dave was a great host. The food was delicious, and we were able to get away and be alone together for a few days in the most beautiful rooms. I'd recommend the Kingsley House to anyone.

Excellent place to stay. Nearby winery is nice to visit and also close enough to South Haven for lakeside shopping and dining. Although every room here looked amazing, I highly recommend the Northern Spy Suite.

One of the best B&B's we have visited; and we have been going to B&B's for over 16 years. The quality and presentation of the breakfasts were spectacular. Definitely recommend to friends and family! :)

A beautiful, wonderfully relaxing place to stay. This was our second stay and Dave the innkeeper is a wonderful host. His breakfasts are fabulous! There are wineries, an orchard, lots of galleries and antique shops not to mention shopping. The rooms are beautiful and romantic. Perfect! I would highly reccommend the Kingsley House to anyone.

Fennville, MI: The Kingsley House Date: 10/10/2008 - 10/12/2008 Plans to visit Saugatuck, MI had us staying in Fennville, MI at the Kingley House---a very convenient, short 6-mi/10 min drive. The hospitality and "extras"---DVDs, games, always a yummy late afternoon snack---made us feel like we were at a friend's home to visit. (I forgot my toothbrush and a new toothbrush was available to keep.) In addition, the wonderful breakfasts provided by innkeeper Dave Drees showcased his culinary skill!

Dave always does a great job. His rooms are always clean and his breakfast is always something to look forward to.

What an amazing way to get away from it all for the weekend. The Kingsley House was gorgeous - definately exceeded our expectations. So much attention to detail. What a welcome diverse, friendly environment. We will definately come again...

We celebrate our anniversary each year at The Kingsley House & will continue to do so. The very private rooms/suites are really comfortable & each is uniquely well-appointed. The food is consistently fantastic and Dave is the consummate professional; you will not find a kinder host. The area offers endless attractions, the house & grounds are beautiful. Love the swing seat on the wrap-around veranda...

Dave is the ultimate innkeeper - gracious and accommodating. One of the most special attributes is Dave's gardens - they are gorgeous and it is evident he take great pride in them. I loved the fresh flowers every day in the parlor. The breakfasts are terrific!!!

The Kinsley House is a wonderful B&B - it's quaint and very peaceful. We went to celebrate an anniversary and we enjoyed our time there. We will be making a trip back since we were not able to spend as much time as we would have liked to. Dave attnetion to detail is very much appreciated and it is very obvious that he is very passionate about what he brings to his guests!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kingsley House, we just wish we could have stayed longer. Our room, the Granny Smith, was lovely and very comfortable. The house itself and the gardens are beautiful and meticulously maintained. The breakfasts were delicious. Even the weather cooperated to make our stay outstanding.

I have been struggling with the passing of my mother two months earlier. I needed to have the weight lifted from my shoulders. So I scheduled a night's stay at The Kingsley House on our way to visit friends in St. Joseph, Michigan. I felt the pain and weariness leave my soul as I walked hand in hand with my husband around the softly lit grounds and settled in the wicker swing on the porch.

Our stay was wonderful. The Kingsley House is beautiful inside. Dave Drees is a gracious host. The breakfasts where great on the front porch. The home made cookies were scrumptious. The gardens were beautiful to look at. The rooms were quaint and provided a peace rest. We highly recommend this B&B!

We stayed at the Kingsley House for 9 days and left with wonderful memories of the place. Our room, the Golden Delicious, was very clean and comfortable, the dining-living room was elegant and always had beautiful fresh flowers dispalyed all around. Every morning we very much looked forward to the elaborate breakfast on the wonderful porch. In the afternoon, surprise homemade sweets were waiting to be enjoyed as was iced tea or lemonade on the porch. The cookie jar and a bowl of jellybean was tempting us every time we passed by it. Dave and Jeff are great hosts and pay close attention to detail which makes the Kingsley House such a special place. We highly recommend the Kingsley House to everyone.

My husband and I spent three nights at the Kingsley House in late July. We were treated wonderfully well, the room, the gardens and the house itself are lovely, and Dave and his small staff were helpful and friendly. We certainly will recommend the Kingsley House to friends and family, and hope to return to experience all seasons.

We really enjoyed our first B&B experience at the Kingsley House. The host was gracious and the breakfasts were wonderful. We were originally going to stay at Wickwood B&B, but after NUMEROUS problems, namely deposit, cancellation fees, return deposit problems, horrible customer service, etc. we chose Kingsley and were very grateful we did. My fiancee and I had not previously stayed in a B&B, and we were blown away by the Kingsley House. We stayed in the Macintosh Room. It was small, but comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievable. We loved the amenities. Highly, highly recommended.

Wow! What a wonderful getaway the Kingsley House is. From the moment we checked in everything was perfect. The Braeburn suite is secluded and private with an exquisite whirlpool tub. Dave makes the most wonderful breakfasts and cookies! The Saugatuck/Douglas area is beautiful to explore with lots of neat things to do. Take a cruise out on the lake, wander through the stores in Saugatuck, or sit on the porch at the Kingsley House to unwind. Thank you for a great time away from everything.

Very pleasant overnite stay at the Kingsley House...close to Douglas/Saugatuck...recommendation for dinner at resturant in Douglas was outstanding...would suggest a brief explanation of how to get the DVD player to work for those of us technically challenged

Words can not express how much we are blown away by this place! Dave's heart and soul is reflected in every corner of the Inn. From the massages, to the picnic basket, to the amazing details of the Inn and more....we will definitely be back soon!

The Kingsley House was a great romantic getaway for our five year anniversary. Located in a quiet small town and yet very close to bigger cities.

The Kingsley House is a beautiful retreat. If you are looking for a place to elope, this is it. Dave handled everything for us from the flowers to the cake and champaign as well as the minister. Our ceremony was beautiful. The food was excellent and the room was gorgeous. We couldn't of asked for a more memorable wedding weekend.

We were married here and it was just beautiful! We wanted a simple yet elegant ceremony and Dave put it all together for us. Everything was wonderful, we would recommend this elopement package to anyone! The breakfasts were unique and delicious! Thanks Dave, we'll be back!

We loved everything about the Cider Nook. The inroom massages were incredible. The only downside was the price, a bit steep for a Sunday-Monday stay. Other than that the Inn is great in every way.

A pleasant and relaxing experience. This B&B was clean, quiet and had all the ammenities we needed! We will go back.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Kingsley House! Everything was close enough to be convenient, and the winery down the street was an added bonus! In between all the 'tourist' activities, we enjoyed just relaxing and watching a thunderstorm roll in from the cozy front porch, drinking wine and enjoying Dave's homemade cookies. The Duchess Suite was unique due to it's location in the turret, but the bathroom was quite small.

Gerald & Donita Traeye (Flint, MI) The most important thing that will stick in our minds was the excellent hospitality we experienced. Our first night, their was a very bad Thunderstorm and Tornado. We thought we were safe in our room in the bottom of the House. Water leaked in our room and before we knew it their was a knock at our room door. Dave and Jeff were their to assist us. They moved our things upstairs to a different suite and it was more elegant than the last. We really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and the privacy that they gave us. The Kingsley House is the most Romantic spot in Michigan. Its 1800 elegant look will make your romatic stay unbelievable. My wife and I will definatly return!!

We have stayed at many B&B’s across the country, but never have we ever experienced anything quite like the Kingsley House. This Inn is top notch in every way imaginable, from the breakfasts, to the decor, rooms, amenities, cleanliness, hospitality and more. The location is perfect…minutes from the beach, area resort towns, local winery, orchards, etc. and yet removed just enough to be peaceful and quiet. Just what we were looking for! We our already planning our fall trip at the Kingsley House and can’t wait. Kudos, Dave and staff! Tip for other guest…walk a couple of blocks from the Inn and you will find two GREAT restaurants….from Mexican to Gourmet…great food without the hour wait at other area eateries.

A lovely place to stay with a lot of conforts but our room was nice with a really small bath and for this reason not so confortable. The town is small and with not many restaurants or services near it.

The Kingsley House is a great place to sneak away and relax. The rooms are nice. The food is great. The area offers a lot to do for a very reasonable price, and the local dining is out of this world!
