House in Woods

My new husband and I stayed at the House in Woods for our wedding night. Our room was BEAUTIFUL and romantic. We loved the artistic decore and the spacious lovely grounds. Tom and Scott were very fun and accomodating. We cant rate the food only ecause we were tightly scheduled and had to leave early in the morning. I would recommend this site for weddings, family, friends and events.

The house is beautiful with wood work that is outstanding. The bathroom was adorable with a walk-in shower which was tiled and had a seat for convenience. We were just amazed by the style and grace of this B&B. Tom made us delicious veggie omelets with fresh fruit. Thanks to Jeff for sharing his lavish train collection. Every room has its own unique features. Tom and Scott are great hosts. The atmophere is laid back and comfortable. Breakfasts have been wonderful each time I've been there.

Our daughter got married there July 2008. Everything was wonderful! The staff was there for all of our needs. They have wonderful cooks in their kitchen! The guests loved the relaxed atomsphere. The horseshoe pits were a hit!

We loved this place! It was great. Ideally situated and easy to get to. The atmosphere was amazing and the look was incredible. The proprieter was very nice and helpful. We had a wonderful time and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The House is Woods B&B was beautiful!! This is our second time staying here, and we love it! This time, upon arrival though, they did not have our reservation. We booked through this site, but should've called the B&B directly. We also got up around 8:30am, and couldn't find anyone for breakfast. Probably our fault though, maybe we were supposed to arrange that the night before??? Overall, a wonderful place for a large family gathering, or just a romantic getaway.

We really enjoyed our time at this bandb. It has beautiful wood furniture, doors, woodwork, etc. The inkeeper is friendly and helpful. The outdoor hot tub really relaxing. It was a truly special place for us to celebrate valentines day.

This B&B is slightly different than your usual Victorian. There are two what I would term as Lodges with a number of suites all warmly decorated. The first Lodge is a converted ranch and the second Lodge was built by the owner from ground up. The woodwork and trim designs throughout are unique. Our stay was in their new Tower Suite which was not quite finished with the hardware for doors and lacked a bit of privacy as it seems they are still ironing out the glitches. There was wine for our arrival and a guided tour of the game room, bonfire area, breakfast area etc. The only real complaint we had were the satin sheets - could do without those. Breakfast was phonomenal - steak and omelettes and our host was attentive. We will return.

We had a wonderful two night stay at House In Woods - lovely setting, amenities and breakfast. Great conversation with proprietors.

Place was very different. Beautiful wood working, undergoing more so not finished. Maid service could have been better. need few more ammenities.

Incredible experience - we loved the detailed finishings of the house, the great activity options, the beautiful grounds, the intimacy of the location, and of course the fabulous food and people. We couldn't recommend it enough!!!

This is by far one of the nicest places to have a gathering. Tom was absolutely wonderful and his staff was very warm and friendly to all of us. I will be spreading the word to all my friends and family to look at this beautiful place for future events.

Wonderful experience, master craftmanship, warm and friendly atmosphere in a beautiful setting in the woods with very easy access to all Lansing, East Lansing, Sleepy Hollow State Park and the surrounding area..loved the experience....perfect place to hold meetings or just a great escape from everyday living....or any special occasion...highly recommend a visit ...

This is by far the nicest B&B we've ever stayed at. The host, Tom, is friendly and warm and the house is magnificient. We have already booked two more stays. If you're looking for a real treat, try this gem.
