The Terrace Inn and 1911 Restaurant is located in Bay View, Petoskey, Michigan. Bay View Association is a Summer Chautauqua with an active music and performing arts program that hosts concerts and live theatre to the public. The Inn is walking distance to Bay View's auditorium, Little Traverse Bay, and all the activities in the Petoskey area. Rooms are charming, and rates are reasonable. All rooms include private bath, breakfast, TV, daily maid service and suites are available with jet tubs, kitchenettes and more amenities. Most recently our former tea room became a pet friendly garden apartment with separate entrance. The restaurant has excellent, fresh, well prepared menu and the bar has an extensive, wine, beer and vintage cocktail offerings.

This is a beautifully maintained old property in a unique setting - inside a summer association of old cottages. There's a music conservancy in the summer and many wonderful programs. BUT it's an old property. The floors slant. The bathrooms are tiny (but plenty of hot water!). If you want everything modern and new - don't go. If you like charm and a little eccentricity and huge old trees and ice cream parties and great service - book a room now! And did I mention the food (breakfast and dinner) is good? And Petoskey is just down the road. And... well, just go. (No, I'm not an owner, just a very satisfied guest)
Thank you for your review! I agree, it is important to recognize in advance that the Inn is 104 (or 105?) years old and there are some characteristics we have to live with, but in terms of baths, the cottage rooms have the smaller baths, the deluxe rooms have a full bath and the suites have bigger baths so you have an option of larger bedroom/bath. Many rooms have antiques but it isn't fancy, more comfortable homey and charming. Thank you for staying! Patty

We've stayed at 30+ B&Bs and this is one that we would definitely go back to if we were visiting anywhere near this area. Not only was the place wonderfully maintained to its period whenever possible, the hosts could not have been friendlier and the neighborhood was one you wouldn't want to miss.

This Bed and Breakfast has old world charm. It is like stepping back in time each room we have stayed in was different. The owners are always on site and the staff is friendly and helpful. rooms are always clean, ready and in good working order. It is our favorite place to stay while in Petoskey.
Thank you so much. We always appreciate positive feedback..and we also like to know ways we can improve!

I booked the cheapest room available and it was a little small and dated but the friendliness of the staff and amazing breakfast made up for it. The breakfast is included with the room and there are many options you can order and they make it fresh for you. The Bayview location is very quiet and peaceful. I will definitely be staying here again

Anytime we come to Petoskey we stay at the Terrace Inn. It is beautiful. I love the fact that they leave the doors open of unoccupied rooms and encourage you to walk through the Inn and look around. Every room is different. We just stayed there last weekend for a Mother/Daughter getaway and the service was far beyond any hotel you would stay at. Breakfast is included in the price and you can order anything you want. Sit down and they bring it to you. Danyell was our waitress in the morning and she was awesome. Fast, friendly and efficient. Patty and Mo you are the best!
We so appreciate hearing you enjoyed your stay here and of course we appreciate your business and so thankful you took the time to spend quality time with each other...memories and time are something no one can ever take away..I am going to share this with the staff to let them know they made a positive impact our you both. Thank you!

My husband and I stayed at the Inn in the King Deluxe room on the 1st floor. The place was beautiful. I felt at home and was sad to leave on Sunday to head back home. We met two of the employees: Mo (the owner) and Zach (the cook). They were extremely nice and welcoming. I can't wait to visit again.

Very cozy and losts of character. Stayed for one night with my boyfriend in the winter. We loved our room and walking around the bay view neighborhood in the snow. This is the type of place I think of when I want a bed and breakfast feel. I recommended it to my parents and friends immediately.
