This is a very nice B&B that is focused on customer service. The rooms are well mantained and have various themes to meet different styles.
Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us. We will work to improve the areas you found us to be not quite perfect.

Was a very cute little B&B to stay at. Room was very nice and had a nice, luxurious, old fashioned feel to it. The couple that runs the B&B were very nice and helpful with recommendations of where to go for dinner. Would recommend to anyone for a nice stay.
Thank you for yur nice review. We noted the areas you marked us low on and will make efforts to improve them. Thanks for staying with us again.

You pull up to the house on the street, its a cute little spot. You walk and in the interior is very well kept. The main floor rooms are all pretty small, but they do the job. The beds are twin size, I haven't slept on a twin in 20 years lol... The food is pretty much average. Eggs (very plain and scrambled) with some hash browns, they had cereal, yogurt, etc., but nothing I'd really be excited to eat again. The value is pretty good, they DO treat you like family. The fridge is yours to share with them (but put your stuff in bags or others might think your stuff is the B&B's and take it lol). You can use their grill, firepit, pavilion. Very nice people though. They are also new at this, so with time I think they'll make even better Innkeepers and the place will be even better. It is located right off the main road, which is good and bad, it was literally a block away from the little arts & crafts festival which was nice to walk to.

Had a wonderful time. The stay was more than I expected since I have never stayed at a B & B I was quite surprised by how comfortable and charming it was. I can't wait to come back again.
Thanks for the wonderful review. We love it when our guests want to come back.

Arrived and was treated like Family from the minute we stepped in the door. Everything is done to make you feel not like a guest, but like a Friend/Family. They even went out of their way to ensure no matter what our schedule was we were treated to the same breakfast as the normally scheduled breakfast time. And the FOOD..WOW.
Thank you for such a great review. We are glad you had a great time with us.

What a nice break from the usual hotel environment. Definitely will return to visit again. Almost hate to share the info cause it means competition for a wonderful stay at a place where the innkeepers are courteous entertaining and accommodating. The breakfast was a nice treat in the morning what a great value that left us feeling like we got a great deal! Next time we will stay longer! Ed n Deb Novi, mi
Thank ou or such a glowing review. It always makes us happy when our guests want to return.

Doug & Robin made my stay a "Home Away From Home"! I spent two nights with these nice people and they went out of their way to care for me. I was in town to do some guided fishing on the Muskegon River and was told by my outfitter that he would pick me up at 7:00 AM each morning. Most places I know, wouldn't have a breakfast available until 7:00 or 8:00 AM. I was up at 5:30 and the coffee was ready as soon as I was dressed and a great breakfast ready by 6:00 AM ......... Unbelievable!
Thank you so much for the great review. We like to make sure all guests have a good breakfast no matter how early. After all, breakfast is half our business.

We have a very pleasant stay at this B&B. The Innkeepers are very nice and accommodating, they made us feel like we are at home and never treated us just like guests. I can say that the kind of service we received from them is very personalize as they really attended to all of our needs. They gave us a tour of the house, gave us all the informations that we needed (wi-fi, restaurants referral, etc). We never had the chance to visit the museum in Newaygo or explore the town but we definitely have a good stay. Mostly, we enjoyed the company of the Innkeepers.

We came to Newaygo to hear some of our daughters friends play in a blue grass concert at a summer camp. We had never heard of Newago, and were leery of staying in the only B & B in town. Much to our delight, however, we found a lovely retreat in this beautiful bed & breakfast. The rooms were tastefully appointed and very comfortable. Since this wasn't a "romantic getaway" as our usual stay at a bed & breakfast is we were pleasantly surprised to find a room with a pull out couch where my mother could sleep...and it was comfortable, too. Bedding was plentiful & the temperature could be set for any comfort level. The service was great. The only drawback was we wanted to rent a movie & there was no hook up to connect the DVD to the television. Our host, Doug was duly embarrassed by the oversight and I'm sure he will have it fixed for the next guests. He was so pleasantly responsive to any of our requests. The value was great for a B&B of this caliber. Cleanliness was superb. The dining was just what you live for at a B & B. While so many are going the way of "continental", Robin holds up the tradition of good, home-cooked breakfast, plentiful enough to stuff ourselves.....and the treats she leaves out in the afternoon for guests to indulge in.....well... let me just say we overindulged! Best of all, Robin & Doug are some of the most friendly people you'd want to meet and easy to talk to. Their narration of the history of the town was a delight for my history buff husband....oh and lest I forget...an added bonus is they feature an artist of the month and their work.....I saw some beautiful gourd art that added to the fun.

My girlfriend and I stayed here on July 20, 2012 and had a wonderful time. It was our first Bed and Breakfast experience so we didn't completely know how to act or what to do. Newaygo is a nice little town that has a nice park walk along the river. Doug and Robin were a delight, very nice people and they enjoyed finding out information about us. Had a great time!

Doug & Robin are very respectable owners of this beautiful B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay with them. The mansion is beautiful inside and out. The breakfasts were superb! You two are wonderful hosts to all of your guests. We will highly recommend your place to others and hope to come back soon.
Thank you for writing us a wonderful review. I just wanted to make a correction. We are the innkeepers, not the owners.

My husband and I stayed with Doug and Robin for our 5th wedding anniversary. This is an adorable B&B and our room was larger than I am used to at a B&B. We stayed in the lumberman suite. The B&B is in a tiny town and we enjoyed being able to walk around and hike without hassling with crowds. Doug and Robin were excellent hosts and we enjoyed our conversations at breakfast. The buffet style breakfast was nice and gave us a chance to try a little of everything.

Me and my girlfriend spent one night at this B&B and that stay was wonderful. Doug and Robin did a wonderful job making us feel at home. The house was neat and clean and felt very home like. The food served at breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone.

When we found out our original honeymoon plans fell through because of power outages Doug saved us! When we called at 10 pm he said "come on over"! Even with a 15 minutes notice the home was absolutly beautiful and clean. He made us feel at home with his southern hospitality. Even stired up some GRITS for us. He is a wonderful cook. Yum! The room was very cozy and romantic. It was better than our orignal plans. Thanks for saving our special day! Gary and Nicole

The hosts are wonderful!!! Very personable, easy to talk to and fun to spend time with. The food was great, especially some of the special treats for the party. We have stayed at a couple other bed and breakfasts and this by far was our most fun experience. We will definitely return someday.

We have stayed in many B&B and by far the best breakfast served. The innkeepers, Doug and Robin made our stay awesome for an overnight getaway. Great conversation and laughs at breakfast, thanks so much for everything. Enjoyed the history of the home and walking downtown to the quaint shops.

We were in Michigan for just 1 night and decided to try a B & B, we were not sure what to expect. Doug and Robin the innkeepers were so great!!! They made us feel right at home from the minute we walked in. The house is beautiful and well kept and the breakfast was wonderful. The town is quaint with small shops located within walking distance. We would definitely stay there again if we return to that area. The pricing was great and ranges depending on if you want just a small room for the night or a large lavish room, either way it was cheaper than a really nice hotel and you get the benefits of a free home cooked breakfast and a great enviroment! Robin and Doug do a fantastic job taking care of La Belle de la Riviere and the owner is fortunate to have them running his B & B. Thank you for a great stay and for all of your hospitality, we hope to see you again sometime!!

We were very fortunate to receive a free night at this B&B, because my husband is a veteran. Mike and Robin were wonderful hostess! We enjoyed our evening visiting with them, playing scrabble, and the great snacks. The large breakfast was also very tasty. We felt very welcomed and recommend this B&B highly.
We do appreciate our veterans and had a wonderful time participating in the Veterans Appreciation Event: B&B's For Vets. This is a great opportunity for B&B's across the nation to give a vet a free night out on Veteran's day.

I came up from Ohio with a couple of buddies for a weekend salmon & steelhead fishing trip and we just needed a place to sleep for a couple of nights, so I wasn't expecting much. One of my buddies picked this b&b and not only was it the best value in the area, but the food & coffee were great and there was plenty of it to fill us up for a day of fishing on the river. The innkeepers were nice and very helpful in everything from to pointing us toward a good steak place for dinner to helping us wrap & ice down the fish we caught. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to the area.

Had nice common seating areas, also outside. The breakfast had a lot of variety -- eggs, waffles, real maple syrup. Room was a little quirky, with its own bathroom but without a bathroom door. Had a nice little gift shop, with maple syrup from the innkeeper's sister priced very reasonably.

I've never seen a B.& B.before and this was the best experience. I'm southern and now live in MI.and I was made right at home. Very warm people and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Can't say enough about it because there's not enough room. Could go on 4 ever. I WILL definitely be back. Thank you for having us. 2 biker friends.

Staying for a one night business trip is usually a boring thing to do. But the nice folks here made it a very nice time for me. The night time snacks were really good. And the made-to-order breakfast was super as well as done early enough for me to enjoy it with time to spare. Thanks for the great hospitality!

We spent a weekend here (Friday thru Sunday). The rainy weather allowed us the opportunity to spend time inside and enjoy the beauty it held within. The inkeepers were wonderful people; shared stories of the homes history, were knowledgeable of the sourrounding area and very good cooks! We will definately come back to stay!

We were given a gift certificate to b&b.com to celebrate our 3 year anniversary and could not have picked a better place to escape from the hustle & bustle of chicago. Doug was so quick to respond to my questions about accommodating my vegan diet and was able to create an amazing breakfast for us. The room was clean and comfortable for a great price but the sweetest touch was the champagne and chocolates in our room to celebrate our anniversary...what a wow! We'll definitely be back!

This was a wonderful place to stay for a weekend get-a-way. The house was beautiful and extra clean, we literally felt right at home! The innkeepers were so nice and friendly. The breakfasts and snacks were just great! Can't say enough about this place, if you're looking for a B&B this is the place for you. We made the drive to Silver Lake and Grand Haven while we stayed there (about an 1 1/2 hours away) but it was worth the drive to come back to a nice room and wonderful hospitality!

We were delighted to find this special B&B in the town where my husband was looking for his family roots. After a long day's researching and walking to find locations we were welcomed with fresh lemonade and homemade chocolate cake. We had the Queen Suite with private bath and a very comfortable bed. The hosts were warm and friendly and very accommodating in every way. -- My small travel pillow which I left behind was mailed home immediately! Much appreciated. We would easily recommend this charming B&B.

First and utmost I must adress my complete admiration for the staff of LBDLR! I treated my husband for a brief weekend away recently. The staff treated us like we were practically royalty. Doug especially exudes ability beyond his already existing southern charm, with his lovable and relatable personality. Secondly, for those contemplating staying here, my main advice would be to plan on actually arriving there early into your stay so that you can actually do what you are planning to do....go to relax, and relax only! I purposely booked a room that didn't have a t.v. so that we could value the sweet sound of silence while laying in a comfy bed and reading books or magazines. We got in so late that we missed out on the opportunity to lounge around on the porch or patio during the evening. There isn't much to do in town, so grab a bite to eat, sign in, and just bunker down for the evening and relax. They seem to always have a lot of snacky foods for you and they do have books, magazines, and novelty items. They serve the best bacon that you will ever have! Can't speak enough about the level of etiquette, cleanliness, and hospitality!

On April 27th I knew very little about the town of Newago and it was late in the evening. I was not sure of where to stay the night. As I drove into town I saw the LaBelle Bed and Breakfast and knew that I would like to stay there. It looked very well kept and friendly. Even though it was late in the evening I was able to contact the Inn Keepers and they had me set in no time in one of their handsomely decorated rooms. I had a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed in the Lumberman's Suite and the price was very reasonable. I expected a light breakfast for the morning but they gave me my chice of foods to choose from when I checked in and I was very impressed with the meal they had set up when I came down to eat. There literally was a bit of everything from eggs and bacon to sausage gravy and biscuits. Hot and cold cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, toast, you name it. I definately look forward to another opportunity to stay there again. The town is very charming with the river park within walking distance and the local pubs were friendly and had great deals and food. Greg Swanson

This is our first stay at a b&b. The inn keepers were awesome. They were at tentative and a great source of information for the area. There service was in the best of spirits and the stay was very pleasant. They paid attention to our conversations with them. We don't drink alcohol, and they remembered this. On the night of our anniversary, we found a basket with sparkling juice, chocolates, and a thoughtful note. Their sense of humor and hospitality was a joy. Their website, too, had more information about the surrounding area than we could find on the websites for the local towns and tourism boards. We would not hesitate to return to La Belle de la Rivière and highly recommend this BnB to anyone.

What a charming getaway. Warm fresh cookies to welcome us, and an innkeeper with a gracious smile. We felt right at home. It feels so warm and cozy staying here. private yet in the middle of town. We can't say how relaxing and romantic this hidden treasure is. We recommend going down the river in a raft. They have a wonderful partnership with other business attractions, scrapbooking and rafting were are favorites. Golfing at Brigadon was an adventure, suggest you bring a dozen balls, guess thats why the locals also call it ( bring a dozen). Favorite places to eat were Nothern Trails, Sportsman Bar and grill, and The Depot in Grant. Its real easy to find, on M-37 in the middle of town. What an impression it was walking up the brick paver walkway lined with cherry and crabapple trees. We were asked what we would like for breakfast and if they had it available we would get it, well they had everything that we wanted and a little bit more. Don't plan any activies right after breakfast we ate so much and had so much fun talking to other guests it was a 2 hour breakfast
