The Springbrook Inn is located near Houghton Lake, Michigan's largest inland lake, Higgins Lake and St. Helen Lake. The Inn offers 8 luxury rooms, casual fine dining on premise, outdoor tiki bar in the summer, indoor lounge in the winter, lovely perennial gardens, a beautiful koi fish pond with waterfall and gazebo. Springbrook Inn rests on 5 beautiful wooded acres of pines. Relax, rejuvenate and have fun all at one destination. This ultimate luxury inn is just what you need to rekindle the romance and rejuvenate yourselves. The Inn was built in 1988 and we (Matt & Kathy Grover) took over ownership in 2001. In our first few years we made many enhancements to the Springbrook Inn. All the changes we made were with you in mind. One of our biggest compliments is the attention to detail. Our goal is to make your stay pleasant and memorable. With lives so hectic and busy we want you to leave refreshed and ready to take the world on again. The Caribbean comes to Houghton Lake! The Frog tiki bar is open year round. There is live island music every weekend during the summer and a great grill menu. The tiki bar's décor makes you feel like you are on an island somewhere in the Caribbean.

The Inn & rooms were nice, however I had emailed the inn keepers a week before we were to arrive and didn't receive and answer back; when we arrived we learned that they were on vacation, so they had some people helping out. We were put in the wrong room the first night. When I showed my email which room we were supposed to be in for 2 nights, we had no choice but to stay in the one they thought we booked for the first night since ours was already occupied. They did move us to the actual room we booked the next night, but it was a little disappointing that we had the reservations booked 2 months in advance and it still was messed up; and the actual owners weren't there to be able to work out anything. We did receive 2 vouchers for dinners and a bottle of wine. Breakfast was good the first morning we were there. The second morning was also good, but not very filling. The on sight restaurant was good & service was good. For the price they charge for the rooms and the mishap we experienced, not sure if we'd go back. It was hard not to compare everything to other B & B's we have been to and this one didn't land at the top of our list.

a tropical feel a short stop from home. Romance in the rooms, friendly atmosphere in the Tiki bar. Best of both worlds. A very tasty breakfast served to your room, over sized Jacuzzis and fireplace in room for a stay in romantic evening. Amazing and relax full. highly recommend.

From Detroit: Take I-75 north to M-55 (exit 227), follow M-55 west for approximately six miles. The Inn is located on the south side of the road (just past the Welcome to Houghton Lake sign). From Lansing: Take US-127 north to M-55. Go east on M-55 towards Houghton Lake and Prudenville. The Inn is located approximately 11 miles east of US-127 and on the south side of M-55 (past the Knights of Columbus). From Grand Rapids: Take US-131 north to Cadillac. Go east on M-55 towards Houghton Lake and Prudenville. The Inn is located approximately 50 miles east of Cadillac and on the south side of M-55 (past the Knights of Columbus).
