A true home away from home! Comfortable and relaxing. Spacious and clean. Great place to come back to each evening after exploring the Grand Rapids area.

Negatives: The house was cold, the water in the shower was only luke warm, and during the week there is no breakfast.Requiring dry shoes to be removed was excessive. Positives: Great location and the staff was wonderful.
Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. I wish we would have known that you were not comfortable! Although we do keep the house at 71 degrees, each room does have an additional heater and a heated bathroom floor that could have been used to take the chill off. Our bathroom showers are connected to a high capacity on-demand water heater, so there should have been plenty of hot water. We will look into it to be sure that it is working properly. We cater to many business travelers during the week, which is why we offer our 24 hour extended continental breakfast during the week. We hope you have the chance to come back sometime in the future on the weekend to enjoy our famous full breakfast! We do put out signs this time of year asking guest to remove their wet footwear to help keep our hardwood clean from mud and salt. We always are sure to email guests in advance recommending a second pair of shoes or slippers should the weather be wet. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed interacting with us, and we really hope you give us another chance in the future. Take care!

Would stay here again and have recommended it to others already. Lovely home; friendly owners; beautiful neighborhood for walking. Able to walk to restaurants as well.

Best stocked kitchen of any B&B I've stayed at! Loved the heated floors in our bathroom! Gorgeous mansion in a beautiful neighborhood!

Beautiful house and wonderful breakfast. But new rules banning non-guests from the premises due to a "city ordinance" was inconvenient as we were traveling with friends staying in another hotel. I can see having a time limit such as "after 10:00" to coincide with their quiet hours, but seemed very restrictive especially since they have a very nice living room.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by your friends not being able to stop by and visit. This is not our rule, but a rule enforced by the City of Grand Rapids. We realize it is less than ideal, and we hope they will change their ruling at some point. In the meantime, however, so guests are not surprised, we do explain the rule on our website here: http://www.leonardatlogan.com/policy-info/policy-info.htm. In addition, we email the information to all our guests upon booking, email them again a few days before check-in as a reminder, and then inform them upon check-in. Please feel free to contact me at 616-558-1010 if there is something we can do differently in the future to make the process less of a hassle. Best regards, Mark Zimmer Innkeeper

I would recommend The Leanoard B and B and will return. Deb was wonderful, the food was excellent and plenty of it, the home is beautiful, free parking on the road, nice neighborhood. My only thing was that the sheets and bedding smelled too much like detergent/fabric softener, whatever. We smelled it all night long. We are not allergic, but it was too strong. The room was clean and very nice. Bathroom was clean and beautiful !

I was very satisfied with the non-dairy breakfast options. This location is centralized to downtown and trendy stores on Wealthy St. Also very close to the Meyer May home. Have stayed here before and would stay here again.

My colleague and I had to spend a night in Grand Rapids for business. Staying at the Leonard at Logan House made work feel like a vacation. Such a beautiful home! I wish that we were able to stay longer and really take advantage of the hot breakfast and wonderful hospitality!!
The most secluded room at the Leonard at Logan, The Baroness is situated in the far corner of the the old servant's quarters. With unique views of the house and a bathroom over looking the back yard the Baroness is perfect for the individual or couple looking to escape from it all.
Tucked away in the back corner of the house, the Baroness is located in the old servents quarter's. Charming and elegant, the Baron is perfect for the individual or couple looking to get away from it all.
Located on the third floor, the King's Keep is an impressive suite on the top of the B&B. Twin beds and a large sitting area make this room perfect for 2 family members and 2 friends looking to get away.
Placed grandly on the third floor of the house, the Grand Duchess provides guests with wonderful views of the neighboring houses and brick road out front. Originally used by the Leonard family as a ball room, the third floor was later divided into rooms as it is today. The Grand Duchess does share a bath with one other room.
