Very. Cozy and clean cabin. Had all the comforts of home after a long day of photo shooting. Owner was friendly and helpful. Location was good. Liked that they were going green. Beds were comfy. Great stay!

We stayed in the motel and were expecting something very different. The pictures and the reviews are glorified. The owner is trying to do all this by herself and can't get any help so I feel for her. But she needs a handyman!!! Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. But there was no place to put our suitcase-either the floor or the bed. The bathroom was pitiful. The faucet was not attached to the sink top and moved all over when you tried to turn it on. The toilet seat was cracked and we had to put it back together every time we sat on it. The lid would not stay up. My husband propped it up with the plunger!!! The setting for the place was nice but the grounds need TLC. The breakfast room was so dark you couldn't see what you were eating. And there was no juice of any kind. The homemade eats were very good. We wish Jeanette well because she seems very nice and is friendly.

We stayed three nights in one of the motel rooms. We were impressed with the property and the owner. There are many choices of sizes of places to stay here. The grounds are lovely and so are the views. A wonderful home cooked meal was offered each morning for breakfast. Everyone staying there was friendly too. The location is great for getting to all the sights as well. We will go back

What a find~ We stay in the "motel" room Very spacious, kitchen was nicely stocked. Rooms were very sound proof, clean & cozy. Huge game room available. Cabins had enough space so everyone had privacy. Jeanette is warm & friendly Fresh baked breakfast muffins etc was a nice surprise for a continental offering. What a UP gem!

We had a great time.Breakfast was more like what you would expect at a B&B then a stay at a cabin :). Owner was very nice and helpful. The only problem we had was the hot water heater stopped working. The owner had gone on a trip out of town, she told us ahead of time. We had a Sunday night and Monday morning to wash up in cold water. We left a note about it when we left our keys on the desk when we checked out Monday morning. Don't know for sure if the message ever got to the owner. I just thought we would have heard something back about it.But, we still had a good time. Just left feeling like we could use a shower.
Oh No, I am so so sorry!!! I didn't get your note. Please call me on my cell phone at 906-287-1377 as soon as possible. Again I'm so sorry about that. Jeanette

Our stay was great even with a power outage. The service was excellent. We always plan our stay in Michigan at hilltop cabins.

We make a yearly trip to Grand Marais, MI and found this gem a few years ago. Hilltop Cabins is a wonderful place to stay. The grounds are lovely with a lot of spots for people to sit back and enjoy the outdoors. The cabins have plenty of space although we have stayed in the motel rooms. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Jeanette serves breakfast every morning and you won't find better food in the UP - she's a fantastic cook! Can't recommend this place enough.
