We stayed in the Executive Suite which was a very nice, large room with a fireplace. Even though the woodwork and other features were beautiful, the fireplace would extinguish within 5 minutes of starting the gas, and the individual room thermostat control did not work - it was so hot in the room that we had to open the window in 15 degree weather to stay cool. The breakfast was mediocre at best and did not feel that any "love" was put into the preparation other than the fresh cut fruit. Even though I enjoyed the stay, $180 per night for off-season pricing was considerably higher than I would spend again for this Bed and Breakfast.

This location was not only wonderful (about 5 blocks from the water) but the property is just spectacular. I stayed there in the midst of winter so there was quite a bit of snow on the ground but I would definitely stay here again. The location was great, my room was very nice - no problems what so ever.

My husband is a teacher so he had a midwinter break. We didn't have time to go anywhere warm so we began looking for something close by where there wouldn't be a lot of people. Grand Haven fit the bill. We chose the honeymoon suite & it was perfect. It was located in a separate area of the house. If you prefer more comrade die in a bed & breakfast I would suggest the second floor rooms. We were the only ones there so we didn't have to concern ourselves with that. The room was beautiful & when it stormed on Monday we had a fireplace to warm us & a jacuzzi tub to relax all the stress of this winter. The breakfast was excellent & served not to early & not too late. I would highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful, snowy honeymoon at the Boyden house. We stayed in the Executive suite and could not have had a better time. Tony was friendly and helpful and breakfast great. The room was cozy and the house has been beautifully restored. We can't wait to go back and have already, and will continue, to recommend it to our friends and family. It was wonderful.

With suffering from cabin fever, I needed to get away for a weekend. It actually was not a nice weekend outside but staying at the Boyden House was truly an awesome experience. I would surely stay here again. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.
