The perfect gift for every occasion

  • The Burnt Toast Inn is a historic B & B in Ann Arbor's Old West Side
The 1915 American four-square was entirely renovated by owner and innkeeper Sarah Okyuyama. She has painted the walls in vibrant colors: pumpkin, red, purple — all with "mis-tints" (returned paint that people ordered but didn’t want). On the walls and throughout the house visitors find interesting art, some of it reclaimed from the roadside and some from as far off as Japan.
There are two residents dogs: Bojangles (goes by "Bo") and Buddy. Both are very sweet.
The Master Suite features a four-poster queen bed, private bath with tub, double shower and double sink, balcony and large closet. Antique furnishings. Complete with robes and slippers. Wireless internet throughout the Inn.
Featuring a full bed with closet, the Purple Room is great for one person or a couple that likes to sleep close! Gold & Purple Rooms share 2 full bathrooms (one is on the same floor and is fully tiled with a heated floor; the other is one floor below with a claw-foot tub). Antique furnishings. Complete with robes and slippers. Wireless internet throughout the Inn.
Featuring a full bed with closet, the Gold Room is great for one person or a couple that likes to sleep close! Gold & Purple Rooms share 2 full bathrooms (one is on the same floor and is fully tiled with a heated floor; the other is one floor below with a claw-foot tub). Antique furnishings. Complete with robes and slippers. Wireless internet throughout the Inn.
Featuring one queen bed and one single bed with a large closet and luxurious, private, attached bathroom with fully tiled shower and meditation area, the Attic Suite offers an entire floor to yourself with great views of the treetops. Antique furnishings. Complete with robes and slippers. Wireless internet throughout the Inn.
Private bathroom within the Master Suite features two sinks, fully-tiled shower and claw-foot tub.
Washington House (2 blocks from Burnt Toast Inn on William) offers travelers a more private, self-sufficient option, with full kitchen available and parking lot. We also accept reservations for single-room rental in Washington House. Washington House is a fabulous location for weddings and events (wedding packages available). The beautifully landscaped private yard and parking lot are available for events with whole house rental.
The beautifully landscaped yard with full privacy fence at Washington House is perfect for weddings and events in downtown Ann Arbor.
