After slowly going the ¼ mile drive into the woods you will arrive at our door where you will be greeted by Inn Keepers Mary Alice and Ray Thompson. Our B & B was built in 1994 on the family farm. Many memorable stories can be shared with you as well as the history of the family antiques that are thru out the 5600 sq. ft. home. Mary Alice designed the home to meet the needs of the theraputic services offered as well as conference facilities. You may view wild turkeys, doe and babies, buck deer as well as the other creatures that live in the woods or just set quietly by the pond and watch the birds. A former nurse, Mary Alice is currently a Holistic Wellness Facilitator and massage therapist. Plan ahead and book one or more of the wonderful relaxing and therapeutic services offered. After slowly going the ¼ mile drive into the woods you will arrive at our door where you will be greeted by Inn Keepers Mary Alice and Ray Thompson. While rocking on the front porch or sitting on the back deck, we encourage you to read a book, sip iced or hot herbal tea, visit with others or bird watch (binoculars provided) while soaking up our peaceful surroundings. Your morning coffee prior to breakfast goes well on the porch and back deck too.We hope spending time indoors in one of the four sitting areas inspires conversation or losing yourself in one of the many books from our library while enjoying the view from the many windows. In the fall and winter months the warmth from the fireplace adds to your comfort. Perhaps hot chocolate or a game of checkers with popcorn makes the afternoon or evening complete.
A full hot breakfast is served family style in the dining room on the table and chairs that have been in the family for over 100 years. The view through our many windows and French doors out to the deck make that morning meal a great way to wake up.You will be pleased with the aroma and presentation of your vegetarian breakfast. Homemade breads and jams or jellies are found on the table frequently. If special dietary needs are required please mention them when making your reservations. One of our quiet spaces lends itself to relaxing, reading, refreshing your spirit and maybe napping as you watch the tree tops wave in the breezes. The windows allow you to see out but none of our guests that may be outdoors or the creatures mentioned above can see in. Once again the fireplace can take a chill away or add that romantic touch.
All of our guest rooms offer a private bath for the convenience of your stay. The Peace room offers a standard double bed, glider rocker and a bay window to the east. You are sure to know when the sun comes up.Harmoney is furnished with two standard double beds so a family or multiple gals can have their own space to visit while taking advantage of selecting spa services or using our Conference room for a work shop or retreat. The view to the south will allow you the chance to see the woods up close.
Tranquillity has a twin and standard double to meet the needs of two or three people. The west window allows you a view of the pond in the late fall and winter after leaves have dropped. Each room has a clock radio for your use.
