We were two couples traveling together on a long road trip through NE US and Maritimes and Quebec in Canada. We stayed mostly in B&Bs and The Lodge-ings was the best of several excellent ones. Don's breakfast creations were to best we encountered and he and Marge were gracious and helpful hosts. Highly recommended.

We were among the first guests to stay at this newly opened B&B and greatly enjoyed our stay there. The bedrooms and bathrooms have all recently been refurbished so everything is pristine. Don, the host, was extremely helpful in guiding us to good places to take walks and to restaurants. He is very outgoing and full of interesting information about the area. The breakfasts were custom cooked and there was lots of variety to choose from -- including crab benedict one morning. We would definitely stay here again another time.

The proprietor Don was welcoming, accommodating, and helpful so we were able to make the most of our short stay on Mt. Desert Island. The house was very clean and homey. We are happy we stayed there.
