Affordable, comfortable accommodations in the village of South Berwick, Maine. The Academy Street Inn has been welcoming guests since 1990. Oak wainscotting, carved fireplaces, leaded glass windows and beautifully appointed rooms highlight the elegant surroundings. Nestled in the Southern Maine Seacoast area, South Berwick is conveniently located within minutes of all the attractions from Kittery to Kennebunk.

Often, expectations are dashed when the next morning arrives, but in this case, everything was exceptionally good. The price is reasonable, accommodation charming, very comfortable, and the food is marvelous. Can't ask for more.

We particularly enjoyed the lively breakfast conversations with the other guests and both innkeepers. The table settings and the breakfasts were wonderful and not the usual fare we have had at inns in the past. Having the windows open at night and hearing the train whistle and the birds in the morning was a bonus, too!

Everything about the Inn was fantastic. We stayed two days for a wedding on the weekend of August 23rd. We woke up each morning able to enjoy a cup of hot coffee in our room, followed by another hot cup at the breakfast table, enjoying orange juice, fruit, eggs, and sausage. It felt more like staying with family, enjoying conversations with not only the owners, but the other guests. I love this place!! Can't wait to come back!!

My wife and I have stayed at several Bed and Breakfast. This is by far and I mean far the best B&B we have ever stayed at. Paul and Lee are great host and hostesses. The atmosphere is great, the rooms are tremendous, and the porch is wonderful to just sit and watch the town activities. When we return that way we will be staying there again.

The Acadamy Street Inn and it's owners Paul & Lee Fopeano made our fist trip to Maine one of our most pleasant memories. A great location for touring Maine an New Hampshire. Breakfasts were superb in both food quality and presentation. We highly recommend the inn! Bob & Janet Schultz (NC)

Our first trip to the east coast and first B&B experience will not be our last. Paul and Lee are delightful hosts. The home is beautiful, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast is visually elegant and very tasty. If you want to be near the sea for day trips yet removed enough for peace and quiet...this is the place. Thanks so much Paul and Lee. Hugs to Phoebe.
