We spent three nights here on a recent trip through mid-coast and down-east Maine. The common areas are welcoming, the breakfasts were yummy and filling, the hostess was entertaining and down-to-earth. Best of all, the Inn has a special greeter: Isabella (shhh---she doesn't know she's a dog). We loved seeing Isabella every morning at breakfast and every evening when we returned. The innkeeper was very responsive to our needs; the service felt personal. Only thing that could be better: more space for our clothes.

Although Bangor is closest Portland probably has more flights from around the country. Cape Air now flies out of Boston 3 x per day to Owls Head Airport which is 3 miles out of Rockland. I'll even pick you up there!
