My husband and I stayed at the Nellie Littlefield Inn this past weekend and we had an amazing time. When we were researching places in Maine for a babymoon, we were looking for a pleasant and relaxing experience and Nellie's did not disappoint. The service was amazing (both Tricia and Matt were great) and the breakfast, which Tricia made each morning, was delicious. We purchased the babymoon package which we felt was well worth it. We will definitely be staying at Nellie's again in the not too distant future.

Everything at the Nellie Littlefield Inn and spa were great . the only problem I had was I was I was told at check-in that our dinner reservations for Angelina's package I requested weren't made for the time I asked and could be 2 hours before or after the time I requested. Then I was told our dinner would be bar seating which is unacceptable due being in recovery I don't go to bars. The staff at the inn was able to get us dinner reservations at Clay Hill Farm. The atmosphere and food at Clay Hill Farm was amazing. I would definitely recommend the Nellie Littlefield Inn and spa and Clay Hill Farm to anyone looking for a nice place in Southern ME.

There is nothing like spoiling yourself at Nellie Littlefield. My husband and I feel like that customer service is number one along with quality and comfort of the guests at all the inns. We love the fact that occasionally we can bring our French Bulldog along with us at 2v and Captain's Quarter's. We have already booked a wk in June for a "family vacation"... The owners even remember her name! We highly rev commend all of their inns! Make it a plan to stay at one and you will be so happy you did! Thanks so much for a great stay as usual!

This inn is in a very old restored house. The stairs are a little creaky but this adds to the overall charm. The location is one of the best features. It's within an easy walk to the beach, fine restaurants, and the beautiful walk along the rocky coast. I'm an older gentleman and have experienced many Ogt inns. This one is at the top of my list. Worth noting is the friendly hospitality of innkeeper Tricia. She is welcoming and will try very hard to be helpful. Her breakfasts are delicious.

We took a winter vacation in hopes that it would be nice by the sea, what a treat it was to have great weather and a great place to stay, The owners have transformed the old victorian home into a beautiful B&B with updates all over. Will stay again.

The Nellie was the perfect place to stay for Christmas by the Sea in Ogunquit. The inn was beautiful and Tricia was a wonderful hostess. The owners hosted a party as we watched the parade from the front lawn. Our room was beautiful and a great breakfast was served each morning.

We have stayed here a number of times and never leave disappointed. Each room is done in a unique way and i can't say enough about their exemplary staff. The spa outdoors is a wonderful spot to view the Christmas fireworks or relax after a day at the beach or shopping, and the breakfast each morning is something we truly look forward to. Perfect porch location to people watch and enjoy a glass of wine at days end.Could not get my clicker to check "outstanding", if I could it would have been outstanding in all catagories.

The location of the inn is great for a quick weekend visit- everything in town, including the beach and the Marginal Way are within walking distance. The Inn is lovely, as are all their properties, and the photographs of the rooms are well done, but display a room that seems to have more space than they actually do.

We have been staying at Nellie Littlefield for the past 17 years every fall and or spring. The "Nellie" is convenient to Ogunquit town center and the Marginal Way walk way. It is clean, the Inn Keepers very nice and efficient, and owners work hard to keep the Nellie pristine.

We have stayed at Nellie for 4 years now and will be back again next year! Live sitting in the porch people watching, you can walk everywhere, and then soothe tired muscles at the end of the day in the beautiful hot tub! Love the inn keepers, always cheerful and helpful! The only thing we find lacking there is the menu never changes year to year.would live

The Nellie Littlefield is a perfect spot to spend an over-night or vacation. Our room (#6) was in the turret. It was bright, airy- opening windows- and spotless. The in-room fireplace adds a nice touch on a cool night. We will definitely stay at the NL on our next visit to the area.
5 on October 07, 2015
We've been coming here or one of their other just as lovely inns for a few years now and it always a pleasure. We adore the owners and the innkeepers (all of the staff, really). The Nellie is in the heart of the quaint and bustling village area so it's easy to just park and walk everywhere, including the beach. They offer beach buggies and coolers so you can just load it up and enjoy your day at the beautiful ocean just minutes from the inn. The breakfast here is also a treat, great start to the day! Just perfect all around!

This was the third time that my husband and I stayed at the Nellie. It is the best place to stay in Ogunquit. The rooms are very nice, Trisha is a wonderful hostess and you cannot beat the location. We stayed in queen 6 which is our new favorite room. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. You will love it!

Our stay at the Nellie Littlefield Inn was spectacular. The Inn's location, furnishings, breakfasts were all first class. We stayed in Queen #6, which is in the turret, on the 3rd floor. The view was exceptionally pleasant, and the bed was "comfort-plus". The in-room amenities and accessories were perfect. The title of this review says it all, "We will be back at the Nellie Littlefield on our next trip to Ogunquit".

We stayed at Nellie Littlefield for 2 nights for our babymoon. We always passed the inn when we were in Ogunquit and it always looked so lovely. It far exceeded our expectations. The beds were super comfortable. The pillows were amazing. Breakfast was delicious. Short walk to so many restaurants and the beach! Beach chairs, towels and carts were provided by the inn making it super easy to go to the beach! We weren't expecting that so it was an added bonus. Tricia was wonderful. She was so welcoming and helpful, made us feel right at home as soon as we walked in. Can't wait to stay there again!

We had a fantastic stay at the Nellie Littlefield Inn. We would highly recommend this inn. So centrally located -- walked everywhere! Trolly service just outside the door! Room was beautiful with a small deck - beautifully appointed. Breakfast was to "die for good" -- everything homemade and cooked to perfection. Beautiful porches to sit and "people watch" and just seconds from the footpath to the beach. What a wonderful place to stay -- and best of all -- you can enjoy Ogunquit all year round at this inn.

4.2 on August 28, 2015
The Nellie Littlefield Inn is an awesome B&B. My husband and I have stayed in about 6 other B&Bs and this one is in our top 3. The location is PERFECT, the service was outstanding, and the rooms were perfect. Plus they have great extra amenities. They have a great little hot tub/pool combo and you can always use the big pool at their other location down the street. For the beach they had chairs, coolers, umbrellas, beach carts, and towels for you to use. They also have a great spa, sauna, steam room, and gym. My only "negative" would be the breakfast. The food was all very good and fresh but I felt like it was nothing special in terms of what they served. All of the breakfasts were things I could make at home. I was hoping for something a little more unique and creative. The other criticism I have is regarding the cleaning of the rooms. Overall everything was very clean. I just didn't think they did the best jobs of cleaning the room each day. For example, it didn't seem like they swept the floors in the bathroom. Again, it wasn't dirty I just didn't think they went the extra mile. Overall, I would absolutely return in the future and recommend it to others.

My husband and I were to attend a memorial service in Hollis, NH and thought we'd bookend that visit with stays at the Nellie Littlefield in Ogunquit. We arrived to a very gracious welcome, a nice room with a cozy gas fireplace, and all kinds of advice about where to eat. On our return stay we met one of the owners who was very charming and our host for breakfast the next morning. The breakfasts were both outstanding. Highly recommend a stay here.

My husband I have stayed at the Nellie in the past and each time it is a fun and great experience. The weekend of May 1st, was a girls weekend at the Nellie. I love how you can walk to all the shops and restaurants. The beach and Marginal Way are in walking distance. We had a blast enjoying cocktails on the balcony before dinner. We even got in some massages in the Nellie spa room then jumped into the hot-tub after. Only downside was not booking 3 nights and having to leave.

A wonderful little place nestled in downtown Ogunquit. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is always friendly, courteous, professional and extremely helpful. The location is great if you plan to stay downtown as it literally takes only seconds to get out you door and onto Main Street. If you don't love this place then you seriously need to go see a therapist because nothing will ever please you.

A lovely inn. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The bed was great, had the best rest in a long time. The breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. The location is close to everything. Restaurants are close by and it is a short walk to both the beach and the Marginal Way walk. The owner went out of his way to make us feel vey welcomed.

We stayed here for a fall weekend and enjoyed it very much. We had a great room and the location is convenient to everything. Tricia, the young woman in charge, did an excellent job running the inn and even cooked breakfast. She was very friendly.

Nellie Littlefield is like being at home, only waited on. We felt comfortable in going between the dining room where continuous free coffee is given, the comfortable living room and the many porches. We have been going to Nellie Littlefield for at least 10 years and will continue to do so.

Stayed in the turret room. It was renovated modern yet quaint. The wood stove in the room was an added touch! Breakfast was very good and included real maple syrup! Bedding was suburb and the massages were professional and very good. Not a typical vacation "oil rub". We had a great time and would go back.

After a crowded ten day retreat in Bar Harbor, I needed a quite place for a couple of days. I could not have asked for a better location or room to relax! The staff was perfect, breakfast is outstanding, and that private deck is paradise. The location is ideal, with an easy walk to the beach, a great market, and great restaurants. If you have a car, many other small towns and beaches await. I'll definitely plan to return to Ogunquit and the Nellie Littlefield Inn as often as I possibly can!

We just got back from a romantic little stay at the Nellie and it coudnt have been better. It was quick - just one night - so we tried to fit in all that we could. We loved the location being in the heart of everything. The night we were there it poured rain, but we had so many options still, for dinner, as we could walk to many great places. We got a massage in the afternoon, but before it, we went in the hot tub. Keep in mind our stay was in mid Sept and the air was a bit chilly, but the hot tub was incredible. And just what made a relaxing massage even better. The room was great, clean and perfect sized. We even had a balcony, which we sat out on in the morning sunshine. When we went downstairs to breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised at how big the buffet was. So many delicious choices. Blueberry juice was a huge hit and the raspberry scone with white chocolate, hasn't left my mind yet. And Tricia the Inn Keeper was extremely accommodating and helpful with out being overly eager. She really was great. We loved it here and will most certainly return for another visit!

Such a great place to stay from the location to the attention to detail that the Littlefield house as to offer. We stayed there five years ago and again this summer, over the years there were some improvements made that make this Inn one of the best places in Maine.

Close to beach, marginal way, shops. This Inn is very comfortable, quiet. The public areas and the rooms are clean (above expectations). Easy access to a parking behind the Inn. The breakfast is great with cold and hot food. The afternoon cookies are very good too. We had a very nice weekend and I would recommend this place anytime.

This was an excellent choice for our summer vacation - as we have stayed in the Gazebo, a sister property of The Nellie Littlefield, we knew that our accommodations would be wonderful. Our room, a king suite on the 3rd floor was a wonderful choice with a private balcony and a separate living room area with a sofa, chair, mini fridge, coffee maker and wine fridge. The private balcony was one of my favorite places to sit with my morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine. Trisha is a superb choice as innkeeper with a warm and friendly personality making you feel right at home and anxious to please. They even had carts, beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers available for your trip to the beach!

We spent our second stay at the Nellie Littlefield Inn & Spa over Thanksgiving week (the first being for a few days during our honeymoon last year). The week could not have been any more wonderful or relaxing. Each day started with a DELICIOUS breakfast homemade by Tricia (the innkeeper) that honestly probably could've kept us full until dinner. Typically it was fruit/yogurt/cereal served along side something hot. A favorite being cinnamon french toast! Coffee was available all day- which was a great bonus. As far as things to in the area-Tricia had great recommendations for things to do/eat in the area or nearby. She was incredibly knowledgeable of Maine in general and pointed us in the right direction of anything we were looking for! The rooms are extremely cozy with their own fireplaces and luxurious bed linens. Even their towels are also crazy comfortable and soft. Some of the rooms definitely are smaller but still all have the same basic amenities such as a kuerig, mini fridge (with freezer), TV & DVD player. So if space is something you're worried about I'd ask which rooms might be better, but even the smaller ones are just as comfortable. Every detail of the inn lends to it's inviting and cozy atmosphere, including the cute sitting area on the main level. If you're staying in, there's also a great dvd library to borrow from. It seemed like they had a little bit of everything to choose from. Mostly, though, what made this trip (and the one before it) exceptional is that Tricia is honestly the best innkeeper I've ever encountered. She is so warm & friendly & accommodating & just easy to have a nice conversation with. She's definitely big part of the reason we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else on our trips to Maine other than the lovely Nellie Littlefield Inn & Spa.
5 on August 06, 2013
We visited the Nellie for the second time. We will continue to visit the Nellie for many more years to come. People have asked why we don't buy a place in Ogunquit. Our response is always the same. Why would we when we can stay at such an enjoyable Inn. I could not be happier with the Inn and all of the staff and owners. Where else can you go and be greeted with a hug form the manager and the owners of the Inn. Scott, Bruce, Peter and Trish are the most amazing people and treat us as if we are family.

Thanks for a great anniversary weekend! Trisha was awesome! I look forward to coming again. The Queen size room was quaint with a nice balcony to sit with a book. It doesn't have a great view but gave a moment to relax quietly. We enjoyed the spa service with an hour long rubdown. The hot tub was relaxing and available late at night. The number one reason we enjoyed besides great service and attention from Trisha the inn keeper was the LOCATION! Right in the heart of the town with fantastic shops and restaurants nearby. Plus great martinis too! Thanks for the suggestion to go to ARROW. Pricey but a memorable evening!

My husband and I traveled from Pennsylvania with two other couples for a long weekend in Ogunquit, and while we enjoyed the town immensely, one of the best parts of the entire weekend was staying at the Nellie Littlefield Inn. It truly felt like our home for the weekend, and what a home! The rooms were beautifully restored (I recommend the turret room on the third floor, very special indeed!) and impeccably maintained. The common areas of the Inn were spacious and very comfortable, and the breakfasts were wonderful! Sitting on the second floor porch, rocking away, and watching the world go by was just delightful. And Tricia was the consummate hostess, making us feel like we were the most important guests the Inn had ever had! I cannot recommend this Inn any more highly, and I cannot wait to return.

Ira & Reggie, Plainsboro NJ We will return to the Nellie in 2014 for the third year in a row! Over the decades we have vacationed in numerous inns across the country and the Nellie is our very favorite. Tricia is one of those rare innkeepers that knows just how much or how little attention each of her guest prefers. She runs the flawlessly. The Nellie, a gracious and newly renovated Victorian located in the heart of the village provides convenient access to everything and still manages to envelope the guests with a serene environment that includes modern amenities such as an exercise room, hot tubs, steam room, and sauna. Breakfast balances the various preferences of guests (healthy and/or decadent). The hospitality is warm and thoughtful. Tricia is a treasure.

I've stayed at this inn twice, and both times it was a superb experience. The inn itself is just lovely. Each room is tastefully decorated and wonderfully comfortable. I especially love the gas fireplaces that heat the rooms as they provide extra ambiance to an already welcoming environment! The innkeeper, Tricia, is so warm and friendly she honestly makes the experience of staying at the Nellie Littlefield Inn. The breakfasts she makes are delicious as well! Although I haven't used it yet, the inn has a great little gym/spa downstairs, complete with massage tables (call ahead to arrange) and steam rooms. The hot tub outside is heaven on earth in the winter (the only time of the year I've stayed)... and the fact that the inn has stemless plastic wine glasses for use out in the hot tub area is just genius. As if all of the above weren't enough - the location of the inn is unbeatable. Right in downtown Ogunquit, walkable to everything. I can't say enough good things about this place and I'm already looking forward to returning!

We are seasonal residents of the Ogunquit area and usually visit in the off season 2 or 3 times a year. We decided to stay at the Nellie Littlefield Inn after walking and driving past it numerous time during the summer. It is located on Shore Road which is a great location. The innkeeper, Trisha, was fantastic. She greeted us with a friendly smile, checked us in, and showed us to our room where she explained how to use the gas fireplace and other amenities. There are some nice touches in the rooms, a kuerig coffee maker, a refrigerator and DVD player with numerous CD's to chose from. The Inn has an outside hot tub, a sauna and steam room, along with and exercise room and spa available. Trisha was very warm and pleasant and talked with us for a while. She made a great breakfast which included some delicious homemade blueberry scones! There is a nice sitting area with a fireplace and comfortable chairs where you could sit and read or just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. This was a great weekend getaway and I'm sure we will be back for another stay soon.

My wife and I have been celebrating our anniversary in Ogunquit for the past 10+ years. Our anniversary happens to fall right around Ogunquit's Christmas by the Sea, so it makes for an entertaining weekend. This year we decided to stay at the Nellie Littlefield Inn & Spa, and what a great decision we made. Let's start with the Inn Keeper/Inn Manager, Tricia. Tricia obviously takes a lot of pride in her work and strives to make her customers feel very welcome and comfortable. Tricia was very attentive to my wife and I, and all of the other guests as far as we could tell. She even brought my wife a nice hot cup of tea while my wife was enjoying the outdoor hot tub. That brings me to the Inn itself. Think small town quaint from the outside, but very modern, clean and ellegant on the inside. The Inn provides beautiful and very comfortable rooms, a strong guest wifi (great for my laptop and both of our iPhones), the hot tub, a steam room, a sauna, and a nicely equipped gym (I LOVED having the gym!). I'm sure there's more amenities that I'm forgetting to list, but these are the ones I used during our stay. And of course there was breakfast - one word, YUM, and GREAT coffee too. We will definitely be heading back! -Mike and Kim Michel Dracut, MA

We spent 2 nights in a lovely bedroom with a balcony. The distant ocean view was close enough to hear at night. The inn was reasonable for for an off season get away. We had a nice breakfast each morning and appreciated the coffee and tea available lateas we are night owls. You cant beat the location as it is right in the middle of all shopping and beaches. We would highly reccomend this inn and plan to return next year.

Fall is great in Ogunquit. Much quieter than summertime. We stayed two nights and had a great time. Tricia is a local so can give some great tips; we were looking for a place to get a sanwhich that we could take to the beach and she knew just what to suggest. The room was very nice. Breakfast was wonderful along with a nice variety of coffees. Cookies in the afternoon-----SUPER touch. We were hoping to hop in the hot tub that Peter tells us will be open all winter. . .but didn't make it in this time; maybe next~! Booked a couples massage and Amber and Scott were great. Looking forward to another get away. . .

My husband and I have always wanted to stay at the Nellie Littlefield Inn and finally got a chance to do so this past weekend. We had wonderful stay! Everything was great! Tricia is a perfect hostess! The Inn is beautiful and we especially loved sitting on our private deck! Everything we needed was there, the gym, sauna, steam, hot tubs and breakfast. It is a great location right in the middle of everything! We can't wait to go back! We highly recommend it!

The is a gem B & B. The inn keepers are friendly and love to talk with you. My wife and I have been coming to the Nellie for 14 years and the improvements made this year are short of terrific. All rooms have new bedding, wood floors, gas fireplaces and window treatments all done so warmly and beautifully. I would urge anyone who likes to travel to Ogunquit to stay at the Nellie Littlefield Inn and Spa.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like family. Tricia insisted on carrying our luggage up to our second floor suite. We have stayed at many B&B's and no one else ever offered to help with our luggage. Tricia was also friendly, accomodating and informative, in addition to having the culinary talents to produce a delicious, varied buffet breakfast each morning. Our suite, the King 3, was spacious, comfortable and clean. The fitness center was perfect for a workout after a brisk 2 mile walk on the Marginal Way. The location, in the heart of Ogunquit, was perfect for our activities and the parking was spacious, easy in and out. Very pleasant memories until we return next year. Myles & Micki, Phila., PA

One of the two finest B&Bs my wife and I have ever used, and this includes a number in Europe. Our other "finest" B&B is owned by the same proprietors., who make every effort to cater to their guests' every whim. Extremely friednly and luxurious environment optimnally located in the center of Ogunquit. You couldn't ask for more.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Nellie Littlefield Inn 8/14-8/16/12 to celebrate my birthday. We had such a wonderful time! This really is a wonderful Inn with welcoming staff in a perfect location in a fantastic town. Too many superlatives? Absolutely not! We stayed in King Room 1. The room size was fine and the amenities and bed were, well...wonderful! The bed was huge and SO comfortable. The fluffy robes, soft bedding, luxuriant soaps, and comfortable shower all added to the pampering feel of the Inn. Nick expertly showed us around on the first day and as other people wrote, I was impressed that we could borrow items for the beach, which is about a 5 minute walk. Tricia welcomed us the next morning and prepared a bountiful and delicious breakfast. There were healthy options like fruit and yogurt, and more decadent options like home made scones and made to order Belgian waffles with warm fruit toppings. The Maine blueberry juice was really good too! Tricia is amazingly warm and is very knowledgeable of the area. She remembered everything about us, including my birthday and where we had visited during our stay. We also met Scott, one of the owners. He was equally gracious and remembered us when we passed him on the street. The owners obviously take great pride in the Inn and Ogunquit and great attention is paid to detail. The easily accessible wine and juice glasses are embossed with the INN's logo, there are books to peruse regarding Ogunquit and the Playhouse, Keurig coffee maker in the rooms, and even a remote controlled gas fireplace! The fitness area, massage room, and Jacuzzi all looked inviting and well maintained but we did not take advantage of them. We did make time after the busy day to relax on the porch in the evening and watch the passersby. The Nellie Littlefield Inn is an incredibly welcoming and beautiful home away from home and we will definitely return.

We had a great wekend in Ogunquit and it was all the better for staying at the Nellie Littlefiled. It's definitely a premier property in town. We'll definitely be returning.

I would highly recommend The Nellie Littlefield Inn and Spa if you're looking for a great, central location in Ogunquit. The staff is incredibly warm, welcoming and accommodating. Tricia made us feel like we were visiting her home. We spent two nights in a king bed room. The bed was wonderful. The rooms are very small and the bathroom was extremely small, but both are well appointed. We loved the all day coffee/tea bar, the breakfast buffet and freshly baked cookies in the afternoon - all the more enjoyable when we were relaxing on the lovely side porch.

My partner and I stayed at the Nellie Littlefield the first week of August and loved it! It's in a perfect location, right in town and close to all the shops and restaurants. It's about a mile from the beach, but the town trolley stops a few feet away and takes you anywhere you need to go. The Inn itself is beautifully decorated. Despite being over 100 years old, everything is newly decorated, clean and very tasteful. The best part of the property is its wonderful staff. They are attentive, friendly, informative and generally just nice people. Someone is on site from about 7am until 10pm so you're always taken care of. We loved the tea and coffee that's brewed throughout the day and cookies in the afternoon. Breakfast was also a real treat; homemade waffles, Maine blueberry pancakes and fresh fruit. I had only to small criticisms - one, the Queen room we stayed in was very small...definitely smaller than it looked in the pictures. After a week together, my partner and I were bumping into each other. I would also suggest to the owners that the breakfast meats be cooked on the stove and a little longer. Besides those things, it was a wonderful stay and we are DEFINITELY planning a return trip in the fall and next summer. P.S. The double jacuzzi was to die for!
