We enjoyed our stay with a very pleasant room on the front. It was clean, well stocked with toiletries and real glasses for drinking. The owners were friendly and helpful. Mornings brought fresh coffee, pleasant company and a great breakfast.

My boyfriend and I stayed here during a family reunion in August and had an enjoyable time. We stayed in the Chicken Room and LOVED the chickens! The room was clean and decorated nicely. The bathroom is a little small and there is no vanity. It is great for a night or two. My boyfriend also really liked the idea of having a frig in the room with water and Moxie. The neighborhood was also really convenient. Walking distance to a lot of options and a nice area to run (if you are into exercising). The breakfast option is wonderful. The Appalachian Trail is a great restaurant and the breakfast was amazing! Get their homemade English muffins...

We stayed here for a weekend of hiking and would definitely stay again. The room was perfect with a comfortable bed, responsive heating/cooling, very clean. I arrived late and had a choice of walking my exuberant dog (who had been trapped in a car for the 7 hour drive), or getting to a restaurant before closing. One of the owners offered to walk her for me. That's hospitality! The next day after a chilly, autumn hike I enjoyed a cup of their comforting herbal tea and candied ginger. The owners made sure I was always comfortable and that I enjoyed my stay. It's a short walk to local restaurants, including the classic AT Cafe.

My husband and I just returned from a 10 day tour of New England. By far, the Ice Fish Inn was the best place we stayed the entire journey. Rooms were spotless clean, quiet, and comfortable--bar none, it was the most comfortable bed we slept on the entire 10 days. We very much enjoyed the different themes of each room, and finally settled on the "Chicken Room" for our stay. Coffee and Tea on demand at the inn at any hour you like. Breakfast is at a local restaurant with a voucher provided with your stay. The owners were very helpful with suggestions on places to go to eat around town, as well as directing us to places to go see moose, other wildlife, and places to fish. We're planning another trip for next year for some hiking, and plan to stay at this inn again.
