FROM SOUTH: --- To reach Oak Gables from the Maine Turnpike going North, take exit 9 to 95. On 95 get off at Exit 28. Then you will be on Coastal Route 1 which will take you through Brunswick, Bath, Wiscasset and then to the Newcastle-Damariscotta. Take the Newcastle-Damariscotta Business Route 1 Exit, and follow the road over the Damariscotta bridge, and into town. At the top of the hill, just after the First National Bank (on right) make a sharp left turn onto Church Street (across from the Baptist Church). Go about 2 short blocks. Take a left on Pleasant street. The "Oak Gables Bed & Breakfast" sign is on the corner. Go to the end of the street through the stone posts up to the end of the driveway. Check in at the Main House. FROM NORTH: --- Take first Damariscotta turn off from the North. You will then be on Business Route 1. Continue on Business Route 1 until you come to a stop light. You will turn right at the stop light onto Church Street. Go approximately 1/2 mile. You will pass a cemetery on your right. Pleasant Street will be the first street on your right. The "Oak Gables Bed and Breakfast" sign will be on the corner. Turn right onto Pleasant street. Go to the end of the street through the stone posts up to the end of the driveway. Check in at the Main House.
