We stayed here for Columbus Day Weekend this fall, and could not have been happier with the accommodations and hospitality provided by Anita and the rest of the staff at the Belmont Inn. Each day started with a delicious, locally sourced breakfast, and ended with a phenomenal dinner at one of the many top class restaurants in walking distance of the Belmont. During the day, all the wonderful things that Camden has to offer are also within an easy and enjoyable walk. We had a wonderful time as guests at the Belmont, and look forward to many happy returns.

My wife and I spent four nights at the Belmont Inn recently. Having been to Camden many times over the years this was our first stay with Anita. We stayed in the Hideaway room located on the third floor. The inn and our room were spotless and the dusting of snow we had, combined with the Christmas lights and tree, made for a festive experience. Anita was responsive and readily available and her breakfasts were excellent. The Belmont is an elegant older home located off the main street leading into town so noise is not a problem yet it is still close enough that, weather permitting, one can easily walk down to the shops and restaurants in the main part of town. We would gladly recommend this inn and innkeeper to our friends and relatives.

It was a treat to visit the Belmont Inn again. We stayed here in 2010 and left hoping to come back one day. We succeeded in doing just that staying three nights the last week in September. We love the Belmont Inn. The location is perfect for walking and exploring Camden. The Inn itself is beautiful and very comfortable. This time we stayed in the roomy Painted Lady. The best part of the Belmont Inn is Anita. She makes her guests feel welcome spending time at check-in getting to know you. Her recommendations for restaurants and things to do and see are spot on. Breakfast each day is a delight. Next time I want French toast! Again we hated to leave. Anita we hope to see you and the Belmont Inn in the not too distant future.

The Belmont Inn is the quintessential bed and breakfast, from its welcoming wraparound front porch to its beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms. We started each morning with a delicious breakfast lovingly prepared by Anita and consisting of only the freshest (and tastiest!) ingredients. We then were able to set off on foot to discover Camden's charms or by car to visit the surrounding towns. Anita is a warm and gracious innkeeper whose knowledge of Camden and the surrounding area ensured that we would not be bored. We enjoyed our daily adventures and especially loved returning to the inn, where we would sit out on the cushioned wicker rockers with a glass of wine in hand and reminisce on the day.

Anita was a wonderful host! She gave great suggestions for dining, drinks and sightseeing. The rooms were big and clean with great furnishings. The breakfast was the best we had all week. If you are planning a Maine trip you must stay with Anita for a few days. Great location to travel to Rockport, Rockland and Mt Battie. Short Walk to Camden.

This is a charming inn shielded from all the tourist traffic in Camden yet accessible to the downtown. The innkeeper, Anita, is an excellent source of tourist information. She has visited most of the sites she recommends and is sensitive to the things you would like to see.

that's what comes to mind when we reflect on our recent stay at The Belmont Inn. a beautifully appointed home tucked away on a peaceful back street literally 2 minutes walk to the centre of the town of Camden & some awesome restaurants. There is a large porch around the home with a well maintained garden surrounding it. You can sit out on the porch, sipping wine, listening to the birds and or the occasional spectacular thunderstorms.... we did. Anita is the owner/Innkeeper & what a love she is- therein comes the personal touch. Whatever we needed form advice regarding good restaurants to recommended places to visit/how to get there easily, Anita was there; she even had an ice chest on hand that we borrowed to go to the Lake with a picnic lunch. The breakfasts she produced were phenomenal-every day different (we were there a full week), home baked by Anita herself with pride as she should. Not only did they taste delicious but, they were so exquisitely presented that I had to take a photo of each one before eating it. The rooms at The Belmont Inn all have their own appointed theme such as "Country Charm" and country charm it was ! We took a look at the other rooms and decided that we have to come back to try them all out :) Anita obviously takes great pride in her place as well she should. Staying there was a memorable experience not to mention that we already miss the Innkeeper. Highly recommended !!!

We stayed at the Belmont Inn recently with our family and it was the perfect place for us.The house is lovely and has been tastefully renovated. Our rooms were well appointed, perfectly maintained, and absolutely spotless. Anita does a great job of setting the house up for her guest's comfort, and she is a fountain of information and tips regarding the area. She's also a serious cook! The location is also perfect-5 minute walk into town. You'll love it.

We celebrated a wedding anniversary in June in this wonderful B&B. Anita handled special arrangements without a hitch and was very accommodating. She made the anniversary celebration quite special. You feel like a guest in her B&B rather than a customer. The house is quite charming, the room was spacious and the king sized bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was innovative using fresh local ingredients and delicious. There is also a convenient gift shop carrying selected local Maine products including some wonderful children's books. We highly recommend this B&B.

Spent 2 nights at the Belmont Inn, but wish I could have stayed much longer! We had reservations at another property but cancelled them after speaking with Anita (the owner and Inn Keeper) on the phone. Within the first couple of minutes speaking with her, I knew I HAD to stay at the Belmont. Anita is incredibly helpful and friendly, and I really enjoyed all of my conversations with her. I felt as if I'd known her for years (which some of the other guests have since they were return visitors), and experienced our stay as if we were visiting and staying at a close friends home. She personally introduced the guests to one another (a total of 7), and we enjoyed meeting and speaking to each. The property is fantastic...very comfortable, quite and clean. The location can't be beat as it is within walking distance of the "downtown" and harbor. Anita knows how to prepare a great breakfast, and uses locally grown or produced ingredients whenever possible. While planning on using this as just a place to sleep, our stay and experience turned out to be one of the highlights of our week long visit to Maine. Hope to get back to The Belmont again one day.

The Belmont Inn is lovely. The owner Anita really went out of her way to ensure we were enjoying ourselves, comfortable and informed about the area in terms of restaurants and sightseeing. It felt like we were a very welcome guest in someone's home. The common areas are comfortable and tastefully furnished. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and reading at night. The Inn is very conveniently located, in walking distance of the town center and restaurants. Breakfasts were delicious, different each day and enjoyable - definitely part of the experience. Highly recommended.

I was traveling alone and chose the smallest room. It was great. I had two splendid nights of sleep. Bathroom was well equipped and in excellent condition. Room had its own thermostat, which is frequently not the case in these older inns. Location is excellent - easy walk to Camden waterfront, easy drive to other mid coast destinations. Highly recommended.

B&B are a favorite of my spouse and mine. Anita & Zeno have a luxurious and welcoming inn. The food was gourmet quality. Information (given by Anita) about the area was unending.

I don’t know what I can add to the glowing words already written about The Belmont Inn and Anita, the innkeeper, except to say that it is all true. Anita listened to our ideas then thoughtfully directed us to surrounding towns and parks and places to eat (all wonderful). My husband and I stayed four nights in Camden and ventured out each day. Camden is a lovely town and the perfect location for easy drives to Acadia National Park and other spots north and south. We enjoyed meeting other travelers each morning for a delicious breakfast and sharing stories but I really felt like I was leaving a friend when we had to tell Anita good-bye. We’ll definitely be back!

Located on a quiet streetwithin a couple of blocks to great eating, shopping and harbor views. Attractive, comfortable surroundings for a satisfying breakfast or glass of wine on the porch overlooking the beautiful garden. Personalized recommendations for sights, food and shopping. Central location to explore mid-coast-Arcadia regioon. Cannot take full advantage with only a one night stay.

This Inn is in a pretty, quiet location, within 2 blocks of bustling downtown Camden, with excellent choices for pretty early morning walks. Inn Keeper Anita was helpful in locating places for fine and casual dining, sight-seeing and activities. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and charming, with private baths. Breakfast was hearty and tasty. A cup of coffee/tea on the porch overlooking the full flowering garden was the perfect way to begin our mornings.

The experience from the start was a pleasure. You can book on line, communicate via email and Anita is by far the best hostess ensuring your comfort, providing concierge service and creating a charming environment. I stayed only one nite and was so disappointed when I left as I didn't experience enought of the inviting atmosphere Anita has created. My room was impeccably clean with attention to the smallest of details. The bed was super comfortable and the linens and towels were of lovely quality.

We had a lovely stay at The Belmont Inn earlier this month. Anita is a most gracious hostess, making you feel as if you are a welcomed guest in her home, which in fact, you are. The inn is immaculately maintained and special amenities are scattered about for you to discover during your stay. There is a thoughtfully appointed boutique within the inn where you can pick up local items for souvenirs. Or, you can walk a short distance to the center of town where you will find several fun shops. Upon our arrival, Anita (the owner) spent about 20 minutes with us, answering our many questions such as where to find great lobster and where to go for a hike. After asking us some questions about our preferences, she recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner that we loved so much, we ate there both nights of our stay. What was interesting to me was that she sent other guests to other restaurants – demonstrating that she sought to please all of her guests, based on her assessment of their individual preferences. This went far beyond dinner recommendations. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. The porch is a great spot to have a cocktail or your morning coffee. Breakfast was lovely both mornings of our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the Belmont Inn in Camden. The inn itself is architecturally beautiful, tastefully decorated, and located within easy walking distance of the heart of Camden village and the harbor. Park your car in the inn's lot and forget about it! And our room (the Allen Suite) was comfortable and beautiful. It's available as a single room, but the modest extra charge to add the adjoining sitting room and make it a suite is well worth the price. Owner/innkeeper Anita Zeno is a warm and engaging hostess. Her breakfasts vary delightfully from standard fare and are carefully planned and expertly prepared. Anita makes sure you won't leave the inn hungry! We’ll be back. Highly recommended!

The Belmont Inn was such a warm, relaxing, and beautiful place to stay. It is so convenient to the town. Anita was so welcoming, and really took extra care and attention to make our stay memorable. Our room was perfect and comfortable. I wish I could take the porch with the garden, and those relaxing rocking chairs home with me!

My husband and I just enjoyed our first B&B experience at this lovely inn, and we are already looking forward to another visit. It is hard to imagine that there could be anywhere else that would top our stay at the Belmont Inn. Hospitality, food, comfort, cleanliness, beautiful gardens, location ... all first rate. Anita has certainly earned all of the praise posted on this website. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Camden, you owe it to yourself to enjoy the Belmont Inn.

This was a wonderful, charminl Bed and Breakfast! I took pictures of the beautiful lush gardens even before we went inside to check in. The details created by our very special innkeeper, Anita, were perfection - service, gourmet breakfast, comfort of the bedrooms, decor and so much more. This is definitely a 5 star inn - no detail was left out!

My wife and I just stayed at this inn and were thrilled with our selection. The home is beautiful, our room was clean and breakfast was outstanding. Anita is a great host and had a huge amount of input for local attractions. We sat on the porch with our coffee and enjoyed her gardens while we planned our visit. We only booked for 1 night on our trip from Boston to Bar Harbor but will be back again for a longer stay.

Last night my husband and I spent the night at The Belmont Inn. This Bed and Breakfast is what every B&B should strive to be. First, it is a beautiful old house with lovely architecture, tasteful décor, a wonderful porch on a quiet street, and a beautiful garden. There is also parking in the back, making traveling easier. Second, Anita, the owner is a warm, interesting person with just the right balance of helpfulness without being intrusive. She has thought of all the comforts one might want in traveling and graciously makes them available to you. Hot water for tea was available when we arrived with delicious almond, buttery cookies that were clearly homemade and not overly sweet. Anita is a gourmet cook who prepares delicious food without the use of heavy salt, fat and sugar. As a result, one leaves the breakfast table completely satisfied with the delicious food, the pleasure of a visually beautiful meal and without a stuffed, sluggish feeling. I wish I had taken a picture of the breakfast we had – one of the prettiest and best tasting meals we had during our two week trip in Maine. The meal included a selection of teas or coffee, what tasted like fresh orange juice mixed with a cranberry/pomegranate juice, a baked Maine apple cooked with nuts and raisins, eggs baked in a prosciutto shell, a few blue corn chips with tomato/pepper relish, fresh corn lightly cooked with red and yellow peppers. We were satisfied and ready to face another day traveling. Anita also sells a collection of Maine products – the specialty smoked salt is outstanding! This is a B&B we’ll enjoy going to again.

After a lovely stay at The Belmont Inn two years ago, my fiance and I couldn't wait to find an excuse for another visit. Anita is WONDERFUL. We were in town looking for some new (old) furniture, and she gave us great recommendations for stores to try. And her breakfasts are top notch! Her focus on using local foods and creative dishes are a fantastic way to start the day. We certainly didn't get as much time as we'd like to relax on the beautiful porch, but we're very much looking forward to yet another visit as soon as possible!

After five days touring Boston's busy streets, we'd scheduled a quick drive up the coast and what we hoped would be a relaxing day in Camden to top off our vacation. We weren't disappointed! The Belmont Inn was charming, immaculate, and full of personality--so warm and inviting. Anita was very helpful in suggesting places to hike, stroll about town, and wonderful restaurants to sample. We enjoyed just poking around Camden and drinking in the beautiful surroundings. Breakfast the next morning-- served in a sunny enclosed porch-- was a delicious asparagus fritata, assortment of juices, coffee/tea and toast with various jams. I had a hard time staying out ot the blueberry jam! The inn had the perfect ambiance for a lovely respite. We found ourselves regretting that we had only one night to spend there! We highly recommend the Belmont Inn and hope to visit again.

We spent a fantastic 3 nights at the Belmont Inn. The B&B definitely lived up to its reputation as one of Camden's finest. It was a pleasure just sitting on the porch during the afternoon, watching the leaves on the Katsura turn, reading books and reflecting on our marriage. Anita prepared exceptional breakfasts, was extremely knowledgeable about the area, and connected to all of Camden's offerings. She helped put the icing on the cake of our weekend by arranging a sunset schooner ride over the Penobscot. It was indeed a wonderful weekend.

We spent one night at the Belmont Inn on a 5-day trip up the Maine Coast. It would be hard to imagine a better place to stay from every point of view: quiet location (but easy walking distance to shops and restaurants), plenty of off-street parking, delightful house, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated rooms (ours was "Country Charm"), delicious breakfast, etc., etc. Anita Zeno looked after us superbly well and we left the following morning for Bar Harbour and Acadia National Park equipped with a list of her recommendations of points of interest to visit along the way. We would love to make a return visit. There is clearly a lot to see and do in the area and next time we would use Camden and the Belmont Inn as a base for a longer, more relaxing stay.

My wife and I are not B&B people, but we loved our stay here. Anita is a wonderful and helpful host - and makes a delicious breakfast. The inn is a stone's throw from the heart of town, but is on a relatively quiet sidestreet. The inn and gardens are well done and relaxing, without being over the top. We would happily stay here again in the future. Thanks for making our first days in Maine so enjoyable.

My party stayed a few nights at the Belmont Inn where Anita's hospitality could not have been surpassed. She was welcoming and thoughtful regarding the amenities that were readily available at all hours. The guest refrigerator and ice maker, along with a supply of wine glasses and ice buckets, was very much appreciated. We appreciated her suggestions regarding restaurants and sightseeing and we loved her porch where two sides offer privacy and lovely views of her gardens. It is located on a quiet street near a convenience store and within walking distance of Camden's main street. I am looking forward to a return trip. 08/11

A girlfriend of mine and I stayed at the Belmont Inn on our way home from a Canadian Business trip. What a great decision to ease into relaxation! Anita graciously welcomed us, showed us a perfectly appointed room (The Painted Lady which had two twin beds, window seat and lots of antique touches), recommended one of the most fabulous meals of my life (and called to squeeze us in last minute). We had a perfect nights sleep followed by a delicious and fulfilling breakfast the next morning. I could not be more pleased!

My wife and I arrived late in the evening and Anita took care to ensure we were acclimated to the inn and set for dinner in town. Our breakfast the next morning was also delicious. The Belmont Inn should be at the top of your list if you're visiting Camden

We spent two nights in the Belmont Inn this past week -- it was wonderful! Anita - the inn owner - was welcoming and full of fantastic suggestions (hiking, places that serve lobsters on the beach, etc). For breakfast one morning at the inn - we had the most delicious crab omelet. The inn is well-located (very near town), well-appointed, and has a beautiful garden. We can't wait to return!

The beautifully restored 200 year old inn is the perfect spot from which to explore all that Camden, ME and its offshore islands offer--from exquisite scenery to sailing to shopping to art in galleries and museums. Anita Zeno is about the warmest, most welcoming innkeeper you'll ever meet. And she's a great cook!

We stayed at the Belmont Inn in July. This is a wonderful inn with a wraparound porch that is a perfect place for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. We stayed in the "country charm" and the room was spotless and comfortable. Anita was very gracious and spent time getting to know us and offfered several suggestions about activities and restaurants. We enjoyed our visit very much and would return every year if we lived closer. Stephen and Danese Wilhelm, Seattle

We stayed at the Belmont for two nights in the hottest stretch of 2011 Maine weather. We were delighted to find that the inn was quiet (two blocks off Route 1) and yet close to town (two blocks from the harbor). It was too hot to hike the Camden hills, so we walked on shady back streets to discover the town beach, walked to the book store, walked to dinner, and also did a seven mile walking loop without having to get in the car or encounter any but very light local traffic. Early morning and late afternoon we spent alone, reading on the covered porches in front and on the side of the inn. The side porch overlooks the garden, which was blooming with flowers and included rhubarb, some of which was included in breakfast one morning. The inn has a light and friendly feel, thanks to good decorating choices and a great hostess. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the Belmont to anyone looking to combine quiet, restful times with the opportunity to hike or get out into downtown Camden's hustle and bustle.

Anita Zeno, the innkeeper welcomes her guests with genuine warmth and offers suggestions about Camden and the nearby towns. Her inn is spotless and beautifully decorated. One can read on the porch overlooking the glorious garden, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast, and walk into the heart of Camden in five minutes. The attention to detail made our stay here a delightful experience.

We had a wonderful stay. Clean, quiet and a short walk to the waterfront. Great food and very relaxing - just what we were looking for!
5 on July 27, 2011
We chose this inn because it was away from the main street - there are lots of options in Camden, and we didn't have many other ideas for choosing between them. We were relieved that we had shunned the main road, because the side street was noticeably nicer. This also worked out well for several other reasons. First, the innkeeper, who's also the owner, clearly cares about her business and her customers. She made sure to call us always by name, made an effort to get me a breakfast I'd like (when I announced an allergy to eggs), and took special pains when she discovered I was a tea drinker, not a coffee drinker (she provided an excellent tea pot & warmed it every morning, specially). Overall, we were very happy.

Anita is a wonderful host who seems to intuitively understand just what you are looking for during your stay at the Belmont Inn. From the initial greeting at the front door flanked by white wicker chairs, to the perfect breakfast (my lactose intolerance was seamlessly accommodated) on the side porch with lace curtains gently blowing with the breeze, and many conversations over where to enjoy the best food in Camden's fantastic restaurants (all within a short walk), Anita creates an atmosphere which leads to friendships between herself and her guests. The rooms are nicely appointed, very clean, and we slept beautifully in our comfortable king sized sleigh bed. If you enjoy feeling "at home" when you are away, the Belmont Inn will suit you perfectly.

Belmont Inn restored my faith and interest in B&Bs. Innkeeper, Anita, is friendly but not intrusive. She is filled with local knowledge and her restaurant recommendation was perfect for me. The inn itself is lovely with a huge porch perfect for sitting on with an early morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Best of all was the interior of the inn: it is nicely and simply furnished, not an antimacassar or doily to be seen. My room was comfortable: the bed extremely so and the pillows heavenly. The bathroom was well appointed down to a night light. Best of all was the breakfast, imaginative, attractive and healthy (no carb loading for Anita). I will definitely return if in the Camden area and recommend it to people I know travelling there.

We stayed only one night at The Belmont Inn, Camden, before our Windjammer sail aboard the Victory Chimes in Rockland. Our stay was absolutely delightful. Owner & Innkeeper Anita was the perfect host. The Belmont Inn dazzles in perfection, along with a beautiful garden of flowers. Short walk to Camden stores and shops. Breakfast was awesome. Anita was in process of having wine available for guests...a nice touch. The porch made the stay...and her slogan, says it like it is: "Where Life's Better on the Porch" Please consider The Belmont on your overnight visits to Camden. We'll be back...

A beautiful B&B located minutes from the delightful community of Camden, ME. Anita, the innkeeper, is a most marvelous host. Considering your every need - from sightseeing recommendations, tailored to your interests, - to quiet respites on the lovely front porch surrounded by the most gorgeous flower gardens, with tea or wine in hand! I highly recommend this charming inn!

My sisters and I hosted a memorial coffee at the beautiful Belmont Inn. The elegant and comfortable surroundings were the perfect back drop for greeting family and friends. Anita's amazing lemon poundcake, blueberry muffins, and pecan shortbread cookies fueled countless shared memories. Having the coffee at the Belmont Inn allowed us daughters to focus on the people who played an important part in the life of our mother without having to cook or clean. Thank you Anita!

Guildford We had a great stay in this lovely B & B, especially due to the lovely host Anita. She was incredibly informative with local knowledge from places to eat to places to go. Her breakfasts were one of the highlights of our trip to NEw England, with such personal touches to the dishes that you wouldn't expect in a B &B. The location is very good, you can walk to the centre of Camden in 5 minutes or so, with plenty of nearby restaurants. The room was small but charming and had everything we needed. We were very sorry to leave after our 3 nights! If we return to New England we'd definately go back to the Belmont Inn.

Anita gave us a great welcome and was keen to supply us with local information to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The Inn was very comfortable with pretty bedrooms. As a young couple, we went to Camden for some hiking, seafood, and relaxation. But we were completely surprised by the outstanding shopping, and more importantly, some really innovative, big-city quality fine restaurants in the wonderful small-town environment. For this trip we were mostly just looking for a place to sleep, but we unexpectedly found The Belmont Inn a very difficult place to leave! As expected, our room was lovely, comfortable and unique. But the accommodation we experienced beyond that was far above our expectations. Anita was wonderful, both as a knowledgeable guide to Camden and as a person to chat with in the evening on her lovely porch. Not to mention, the delicious breakfasts she prepared were far beyond what is common or expected at a B&B. In summary, we got exactly what we were looking for in Camden and at The Belmont. But what we experienced beyond that is what I would recommend to any traveler, young or old.

My wife and I recently visited Camden, and were fortunate to stay in the Belmont Inn. This inn is such a terrific find for the weary traveler who wants to just pull into town and spend time relaxing at the inn and exploring this gorgeous town by foot. Anita, the innkeeper, is not only a wonderful cook -- her breakfasts are superb -- but also very knowledgeable about the area and pleased to share any information that will help to make your stay a pleasant one. This is a first-rate inn on a side street away from busy Main Street, yet still only a short walk from the town center.

We spent last week at The Belmont Inn and it was perfection! The inn is beautifully-decorated with lovely touches at every turn, and is immaculately clean. Our room was filled with beautiful antiques, as is the rest of the inn. Each day’s breakfast was a localvore’s delight, featuring such treats as French Toast made with the incredible apple bread from Borealis Breads in Wells, and maple syrup-smoked bacon from Farmer’s Fare in Rockport. They were delicious, and each one was as beautifully-plated as if it had been prepared for a photo shoot. Anita, the Innkeeper, is a gifted cook and host. She is extremely knowledgeable about things to do and places to dine both in Camden and in nearby towns – a wonderful resource. And each afternoon when we returned from exploring, we delighted in sitting on the rocking chairs on the wrap-around porch, enjoying the beautiful perennial gardens before walking into town for dinner. On the day we left, as we were pulling out of the parking lot, we had already begun planning a return visit to The Belmont Inn.

We were in Camden again this year for Lobster Fest and stayed at this charming B&B. We stay at a different B&B every year, but will definitely return to the Belmont. The beautifully decorated, impeccably clean rooms with comfortable beds were just what we needed after an accident driving through NH. Anita was so kind and made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were delicious and the wrap around porch with beautiful flower gardens were just what we needed to sit and relax. It was so peaceful and just a short walk to the center of Camden with all the shops and restaurants. This B&B is one of the best we've stayed in and will be a home away from home for us again next year!

Staying at the Belmont is like time traveling back to the 1920s with modern day comforts and conveniences. The architectural details include an inglenook; window seats and furnishings in the common rooms provide intimate places for conversation, reading the paper, playing chess, viewing the artwork or browsing books on Maine. The bright closed in porch with ceiling fans create a delightful summer breeze while enjoying the consistently well balanced, nicely presented and delicious breakfasts served at 8:30. Coffee is available at 7:30. The outdoor wrap around porch with wicker chairs and rockers overlooking the colorful and nicely designed gardens is inviting anytime of the day or night. We slept well in the “Hideaway” which occupies a nook on the third floor; the room was clean, bright and quiet. Anita greeted us warmly and gave us dining recommendations and more than enough ideas to fill the three days we planned for our visit. We highly recommend this B & B for it’s homey, welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

We have stayed in most all B&B's in Camden over the years, the Belmont Inn is by far our favorite. Just off busy/noisy Rt. 1, on a side street. Close easy walking to downtown shopping, eateries and harbor. Anita is a warm & caring host, special diets no problem, has a great breakfast on sunny porch. Early coffee & paper in morning for early risers. Great porch & comfy chairs to relax, overlooking great gardens. All rooms have own characters, all very comfortable, very clean, comfortable beds, nicely decorated. Great value !

We stayed at other B&B's while in Maine, but none were as clean and comfortable as this one. From the time we arrived it was a great experience, the innkeeper Anita greeted us with open arms and a wonderful smile. She made sure the 4 of us were comfortable and had everything we could need. The rooms were spacious and elegantly decorated with crisp clean linens. Anita helped us with our dinner plans and was knowledgeable about the area. We could not have been more pleased with our recent 2 night stay at the Belmont Inn. The inn is in a quiet and very convenient location in a residential area less than 2 blocks off Hwy 1, and is tastefully decorated and exceptionally well maintained. The gardens have gorgeous variety and color. Anita was extremely warm and helpful in a variety of ways, including arranging dinner reservations for us at one of the best restaurants in Camden a short distance from the inn (terrific), suggesting points of interest not to be missed, and preparing two creative and delicious "gluten free" breakfasts for my wife who is often challenged by more typical "B&B" fare. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We are happy to highly recommend the Belmont Inn to other travelers.

The Belmont Inn is a wonderful B&B made all the more enjoyable by its gracious, knowledgeable and helpful owner/innkeeper, Anita. We stayed in the Hideaway Room, which was roomy and light; ample windows allowed a lovely breeze for comfortable sleeping. Definitely a spot to visit again.

Our stay at the Belmont Inn was wonderful: large, tastefully decorated and immaculate rooms, with comfortable beds and private bathrooms. Our family of four occupied two rooms, each distinctly adorned – including one with original watercolors by a local artist. Host Anita Zeno was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, directing us to good restaurants, hiking trails, and schooner trips. Her breakfast was superb: baked apples and thick French Toast, all made with local ingredients. The inn, with its inviting front porch and colorful garden, is on a quiet street, a few minutes walk from the center of Camden. Overall, a fantastic experience.

The Belmont Inn was the perfect combination of a quiet, restful inn while being within walking distance of the amenities of Camden, ME. Anita, the innkeeper was gracious, friendly and attentive to just the right degree. Anita was skilled at eliciting interests and making recommendations of activities and dining options. We followed many of Anita's recommendations and were pleased with both the activities (walks, hikes, schooner day trip, etc.) and the dining. The rooms were elegantly and comfortably decorated and included attention to detail (extra blankets and plush towels). A fabulous breakfast was prepared by Anita each morning. Breakfast seating allowed an opportunity for enjoyable interaction with other guests if desired. A comfortable living room was available for reading, relaxing, planning the next days adventure, sipping tea, etc. An assortment of teas was always available. Everything about our experience was as hoped. We will be happy to return to The Belmont Inn on our next trip to Camden, Maine.

The Belmont is a quiet B&B with charming rooms that left out the fussy decor of so many B&B's. It's in a quiet neighborhood just two blocks from downtown and the harbor. The breakfasts are gourmet and can take one to 1 1/2 hours - not what we planned, but DEFENATELY worth it. The inn keeper can help with what to see in the area and don't forget to spend time enjoying the quiet porch and gardens that surround it on both sides.

We found the Belmont Inn to be an absolute treasure. The rooms were charming and had the feeling of where famous New England seafaring captains must have lived at the turn of the century. The breakfasts were nothing short of spectular and prepared by the Inn keeper, Anita Zeno. In addition, the Inn is strageically placed, about two blocks from Camden Harbor, so it was increadibly easy to walk to see the magnificant ships coming in and out of the harbor. We are definately coming back.

We just left the Inn and we already want to return. Anita, the inn keeper, was a wonderful hostess who cares very much about her guests, making sure to greet you by your first name, helping assist with great places to see and dine. Breakfast was gourmet to say the least. When someone loves what they do, as she does, she showed it in every way. Sincerely, The Powells

Anita was very understanding of our disastrous airline problems and made wonderful restaurant reservations for us. Her greeting was warm and breakfasts were a delight. Rooms and facilities were up to date and very comfortable.

My husband and I spent two lovely days in Camden ME and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Belmont Inn. Anita, the owner/innkeeper, was so knowledgeable of the area and is a great cook, too! The house is beautifully decorated and the gardens are gorgeous. We'd gladly stay there again.

A friend and I stayed in the Belmont two weeks ago and it was a great find. Very clean with a touch of elegance rather than fussy Victorian. Charming owner Anita who is personable and a great cook. She's helpful if you want help, or invisible if you don't. Good location, out of busy downtown, but walking distance. Definitely will go back and visit.

We stayed at the Belmont this past December (2008) and LOVED it! We stayed in the "Hideaway" which, true to its name, really felt like a private little space. The stove kept the room toasty warm, the wireless connection was great, and the snow piled high on the windowsills encouraged lazy and relaxing mornings - and afternoons! Even though it was quite cold and snowy, we were easily able to walk the couple of blocks to downtown, and I liked being there in the winter when I could get a better sense of the "real" Camden, without the summertime tourists. The innkeeper, Anita, was charming and helpful and her breakfasts were delicious, right down to the coffee she specially orders from a nearby roaster. We will definitely visit again, and hope to make visits in every season, to see the (sure to be) gorgeous fall colors, lively Camden in the summer and, of course, experience another cozy and relaxing winter stay! Highly recommended!

The Belmont Inn in Camden Maine is the perfect place to have a weekend of salt air, shopping and relaxation in the heart of Maine's midcoast. The Inn is on a quiet street, away from the noise of the main road, but just two blocks from downtown Camden and the harbor. The inn and its furnishings are clean, homey, unprestentious and quintessential Maine. A large porch, parlor and pleasant garden add to the quiet relaxing atmosphere. There are only six rooms and Anita Zeno is a most affable inn-keeper, making you feel you feel you are ,"at home" away from home, and the rates are reasonable. A perfect place to consider for a weekend away off-season as well as during the vacation season.
