Innkeepers Pamela and Richard put a lot of love and hard work into this history B&B and the result is a travelers delight. The house and room are well cared for, clean and well appointed. Breakfasts are highly anticipated each morning as they are gourmet, healthy, delicious and creative works of art! So are the desserts each evening! The innkeepers are exceptional individuals, knowledgeable travel guides and fun to be around. We will definitely return and highly recommend this lovely "Home" in the truest sense of the word.

Hodgdon Island Inn is very pretty and Pamela and Richard were very friendly. My boyfriend and I stayed in room 2, which was equipped with a mini fridge. My boyfriend loved the bed - he thought it was "extra long". The room was not carpeted and there was a very uncomfortable, coarse "rug" on the ground. It was not made of carpet, it was some other material that was rough on our feet. The only mirror in the room was a small one in the bathroom. We would have appreciated an extra mirror. However, the room was very clean. The inn has a very nice porch and a pool. Breakfast was delicious both days, but we were not told what the food was until it was put in front of us. Although Pamela and Richard asked about dietary restrictions, we were surprised that no alternatives (like cereal, oatmeal, or toast) were presented. Desert is put out each evening, and it was also delicious. The worst part about the Inn was the location. It is at least a 15 minute drive to Boothbay harbor. Next time we would prefer to be within walking distance.

A 5 night stay, with great mornings and coffee and desert at night, that any 5 star Resort would have a had time to copy. The room was perfect. The Inn keepers treated us like royality. Shared places to visit and how to get there. While just located a litle our side Boothbay, it is the perfect palce to visit any where in coastal Maine.

We wish we could have stayed more than one night at this charming B&B. The décor is beautiful; the hosts accommodating and pleasant; the food delicious and beautifully presented; the other guests interesting; and the setting picturesque. We are B&B owners in a nearby state, and as such, are very discriminating in where we stay. We'll definitely return to the Hodgdon Island Inn!
