We have just returned home to Massachussets after another delightful stay in the Bayside Inn in Boothbay Harbor. Many years ago we were recommended to book in with "The Sullivans". We were so happy to be welcomed with such hospitality, that we have returned every year since to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, and also for "A Family Weekend"! Kathyn and Peter are the "Best of Hosts", greeting us with a warm smile, as they answer the doorbell! Entering their home, you feel at home, right away. Their home is graciously furnished to answer all needs of their guests. As you climb the stairs you are welcomed into "A Quiet House"! After a good night's sleep in a most comfortable bed, we go downstairs, lured by the delicious smells wafting in the air! Breakfast awaits! We are never dissapointed by the delicious offerings , presented by our "Gourmet Chefs", Peter and Kathyrn. Both are dedicated in catering to their guests in every way. Always there is laughter and fun banter, a great way to start the day! We have met many people from different states and from many countries, too numerous to mention. Last year in June we were delighted to sit at the table with a young couple planning to return in the Fall for their wedding, sharing their plans with us. Amazingly, when we returned for our Fall visit we discovered we had picked "The Wedding Day", as the house was full of young adults in the wedding party! We joined them all later at the church to see the bride walk down the aisle! Our greatest joy is when we manage to get all of our adult children and our grandchildren to gather at Sullivans. Do we have a ball! Riley and Matthew join the Murphy kids playng ball, kayaking, swimming, You name it we have fun together! Bayside Inn is a great family home to visit.

My wife Judy and I spent two nights at the Bayside over the Labor Day Weekend, and I must tell you that the Inn exceeded out expectations in every way. Kathryn & Peter Sullivan, the owners, are very personable, and see to it that your stay is memorable. The breakfast that they serve is fresh cooked, delicious, and I will assure you that you won't go away hungary. If you want a B&B with the atmosphere of Maine focused on fising villages, sail boats, and even a foghorn in the distance lulling you to sleep in the evening, The Bayside Inn is the place for you. We will be returning.

My recent stay at the Bayside in was everything I had hoped for and more. Kathy and Peter are wonderful Innkeepers, the house was spotless and welcoming, and breakfast, which changed daily, was tasty and filling. And the views...from the sunroom and my room...Spectacular...like looking at a painting that continues to change.

Kathryn and Peter Sullivan are wonderful innkeepers and their 1880's sea captain house was the perfect getaway. On the water...a short walk to shops and a stunning view from the room. A glass of wine +an adirondack chair + view of harbor with schooners was an amazingly relaxing afternoon.

Kathryn & Peter Sullivan
Innkeepers Kathryn and Peter Sullivan have been the proprietors of Bayside Inn since the summer of 2001, when they moved to Boothbay Harbor from Boston, Massachusetts. The birth of their daughter that spring made them ready for a lifestyle change, so Kathryn resigned from FDIC as a senior bank examiner and Peter as a foreman for Nashoba Paving Company. The house was Kathryn's childhood home and the B&B was established by her parents in 1990.
