The Blue Hill Inn
A Federal period building, the Blue Hill Inn has eleven guest rooms, a dining room, and two parlors. It retains many of its original features, including clapboards, nine over six windows, wide pumpkin pine floor boards, and six fireplaces.
Room 1 is a charming first-floor corner room with a king size bed that can be converted into two twins upon request. The room boasts original maple flooring and the tiled bathroom has a tub/shower combination. There is a window air conditioner.
This cozy second-floor room features a queen bed with a brass headboard. The bathroom has a tiled shower. The room is centrally air conditioned.
This second-floor room features a queen-sized bed, sitting area with an overstuffed settee, and windows facing south and west. The antique clawfoot bathtub is perfect for soaking in and has a shower as well. This room is centrally air conditioned.
Room 2 is a cozy second-floor suite. The Chinese motif wallpaper and original wide pine flooring complement the furnishings that include a charming twin-size daybed and writing desk in the sitting room and a dresser and double bed in the bedroom. The bathroom has a ceramic tile shower. This room also has a window air conditioner. Prices are for double occupancy (additional person is $30 per night).
A tall four-poster king bed, wood-burning fireplace, and antique clawfoot tub make this room a favorite. The room features original plank pine flooring. Wing back chairs offer comfortable seating. The tub includes a shower fixture as well. Room 4 also has a window air conditioner.
Established c.1927 as the first bathroom in the inn, the bathroom has a pedestal sink and an old-fashioned clawfoot soaking tub with a shower attachment.
