Here's what some of the guests staying at the Blue Hill Inn have said about their visits: Wonderful people! Beautiful inn—comfy bed, lovely breakfast A wonderful experience—nice well appointed room and bath with many little extras… An inn in “good taste” in all senses. Our stay could not have been nicer. The innkeepers are beyond sweet and the food was excellent.

Me and my partner stayed at the Blue Hill Bed & Breakfast on September 16th and 17th and we were impressed. The guest room was superb. The breakfast was out of this world with style and presentation. The evening appertizers in the living room were especially done and soooooo delicious.

We found the Blue Hill Inn by chance and hit gold. We only stayed one night but should have stayed 2 and skipped our disasterous stay at the Harborside Marina and Hotel in Bar Harbor. While the stairs are a bit steep and narrow, the charm more than made up for my huffing and puffing....we were traveling for 2 weeks with 3 heavy bags. The afternoon tea was wonderful...imagine my wife's surprise when they came up with a bottle of 12 yr old Glen Livvett scotch for her...with a very fair price. Our breakfast was 5 star. We wish we could have tried their optional evening meal and would have if we had a 2nd night. It was hot during our stay but the a/c worked fine. Do not miss this Inn and it's delightful staff/owner.

Terms and Conditions

  • Deposit Amount Required: We ask for a one-night deposit to confirm a reservation. We do not charge a cancellation fee but please see our cancellation policy.
  • Cancellations: Unlike large chain hotels and resorts, we never overbook in anticipation of cancellations. As such, the room you select is reserved for you alone, from the time you book your stay. Each reservation is like a puzzle piece around which all the others fit. Cancellations on short notice make it extremely difficult to rebook vacancies. Your deposit is refundable in the event of a date change or cancellation up to two weeks prior to arrival. Within two weeks of your arrival, you are financially responsible for the amount due for your room(s) as booked, and we are unfortunately not able to accommodate cancellations, change of dates, shortening of your stay, or refunds of any kind. We regret that we have to be so firm with this policy, but we've found it to be crucial to running a small business successfully. If this policy is a concern for you, we highly recommend that you consider travel insurance, which is widely available and will compensate you in the event that unforeseen circumstances disrupt your plans.

Signature Dish

Lobster Ravioli
Chef Devin Finigan uses lobster caught off the shores of Stonington by her husband Luke for this exquisite dish. The chef enrobes chunks of lobster meat and a lemon-chive gremolata into a house-made pasta. These are poached in butter and finished with a citrus buerre blanc, served with greens from our garden.
