Built in 1903, the Inn originally housed the wealthy summer visitors to Mount Desert Island. It is located on an attractive residential, tree-lined street. You'll be away from the traffic of busy Bar Harbor, yet within walking distance of quaint boutiques, intimate restaurants, and the surrounding sea. Acadia National Park, just five minutes away, offers a year round wilderness playground. Come and watch the breathtaking sunset from atop Cadillac Mountain or the crashing waves at Schooner Head. We'll be happy to assist in planning your days on our island. A hearty breakfast is served each morning in the bright and sunny dining room. Your palate will be treated to gourmet delights and you'll have the opportunity to engage in good conversation with other Inn guests. Afternoon refreshments are served on the front porch in summer and in front of a cozy fire in winter.

Mark is the perfect innkeeper--highly attentive and helpful in every way, from restaurants to out-of-the way hiking trails in Acadia. He's also a gourmet cook and his breakfasts were spectacular! There was a real feeling of camaraderie with the other guests as we were all crazy about our host. This is a truly "Victorian" inn and all the rooms are in period--beautifully done, but warning: no TV's.

Not only were the rooms comfy, but the breakfast was to die for! Highly recommend this B&B and definitely would like to visit again someday.
