Welcome to Maples Inn Bed and Breakfast, a historic “farm Victorian” located in the Village of Bar Harbor, nestled on a quiet, tree-shaded street. At the Maples, you are just a short stroll from the center of town, world-class restaurants, galleries, shops, tours, and museums. Acadia National Park, the “Jewel of the East,” lies just a few miles from our doorstep. Built circa 1903, Maples Inn once hosted wealthy Gilded Age visitors to Mount Desert Island. Today, the Maples is your destination for warm and skillful hospitality, a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, well-appointed guest rooms and suites, and delicious breakfasts with local Maine fare as their focus. At the Maples Inn, we go the extra mile. It’s who we are. Choose from seven charming rooms, each with its own unique personality, and appointed with your comfort in mind. All rooms at our historic bed and breakfast feature soft, non-allergenic, “down-alternative” comforters, crisp, high thread count linens, plush towels, and Cuddledown® spa quality robes. Cuddle up and have a restful night before getting an early start to your adventures on the island…or sleep in and enjoy the pampering. After all, you’re on vacation!

Mark is the perfect innkeeper--highly attentive and helpful in every way, from restaurants to out-of-the way hiking trails in Acadia. He's also a gourmet cook and his breakfasts were spectacular! There was a real feeling of camaraderie with the other guests as we were all crazy about our host. This is a truly "Victorian" inn and all the rooms are in period--beautifully done, but warning: no TV's.
