Pieceful Cottage B&B is located in the small, secluded fishing village of Wenona, at the southern end of Deal Island, MD. Away from the city noise and lights, you will find a relaxing getaway, views of the most spectacular sunsets over the Chesapeake Bay and on a clear night the stars are brilliant. Two rooms are available, each decorated in cottage style with hand-made quilts for your comfort. Make us your home base as you explore the Eastern Shore of MD. Wenona is a working waterman's harbor where historic wooden Skipjacks still sail for their daily catch of oysters from September to April and the rockfish run all summer. Here you will find an ideal location for sport fishing, kayaking, biking and birding. There is a free public boat ramp, located just behind the cottage. Bring your own boat and trailer, or sign-up for a charter boat for a day full of fishing. Crabs are in season all summer, catch your own or buy them locally. You can use our equipment to steam them in "Old Bay" seasoning, and enjoying cracking and eating them out on the screened-in deck. You will find a small public beach in the Deal Island Harbor, where you can swim, fish, or collect sea shells and sea glass. If you are missing the ocean, Ocean City, Maryland, and Chincoteague/Assateague, Virginia are both just a short one hour drive away. Birders will enjoy the Deal Island Widlife Management area. This protected area is home to Ospreys, ducks, and water birds. Bring your binoculars and cameras for great shots.
