A restored turn-of-the-century Queen Anne home, The Lighthouse was built in 1894, and is the longest operating historic B&B near the President George W. Bush Ranch. The ambiance is that of 'going home to Grandma's', with the right romance and charm to make your getaway perfect. Featuring a truly Victorian atmosphere, The Lighthouse offers a quiet tranquil stay, whether in the lovely rooms (each decorated with cherished family antiques and other selected antiques arranged in a romantic setting and each with it's own private bath), out on the wrap-around front porch in a swing or rocking chair, or out in the garden gazebo. The inn is located in McGregor (greater Waco), midway between Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin, Texas, and just eight miles from Crawford.
