The Tern Inn, a very special place. B&B guest rooms for the daily visitor, and family cottages for the do it yourself vacation. Just 3 blocks to the beach!
The Carriage House is a building separate from the Main Inn, where 6 delightful guest rooms accommodate our B&B guests. Private entrances, queen beds, and all with private bath.
Our expanded Continental breakfast is a great way to start your day. Served in our lovely dining room, guests are invited to enjoy bagels, home baked muffins, assorted breads and cereals, juices, coffee and french toast or fluffy pancakes. There are often pleasant suprises on the buffet table, each day is a new experience!

We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood, on two beautifully landscaped acres, and just a 3 block walk to Nantucket Sound. We offer a swimming pool, basketball court, children's playground, picnic tables, and gas grills. Our inn guest rooms are freshly decorated, and all with private baths, AC, color TV, and room refrigerators. All inn rooms include a delightful buffet breakfast in our dining room. My husband and I have stayed in the Carriage House as well as one of the duplex cottages.The owners, David and Joan Bruce, are welcoming, helpful and always ready to respond to a request. We have been very happy with our stays and will return to the inn.

We enjoyed our stay at the Tern Inn. Service was excellent, and the whole property was beautiful with a nice old-fashioned feel. Our room was small but nice, and reasonably priced. Free breakfast in the morning.

Cancellations: A $25 service charge will be applied to all canceled room reservations. A $100 charge will apply to cottage cancellations. If notice of cancellatons is received 14 or more days prior to your scheduled arrival, the balance of your deposit will be promptly refunded. On notice of less than 14 days, the deposit is refunded only upon the resale of the entire reservation.

Joan and David were personal and kind. They helped us plan our visit to Cape Cod to get the most mileage out of our time there. They suggested sights, routes and dining places which we would not have even known about visiting had they not suggested them as good local spots. We placed them in "the best hosts we've enjoyed having" category.

Our stay was pleasant. The breakfast was excellent. There were a few exterior maintenance short comings (some painting needed). Grounds were attractive and well maintained. The bathroom was particularly small. The hostess was helpful and knowledgable and versed on local information.

Out of the vast number of B&B choices we selected The Tern Inn and were very happy with the facilities, services, cleanliness and location. Dave and Joan are wonderful hosts. We definitely plan to return to The Tern.
