We came to the Berkshires for the James Taylor 4th of July concert at Tanglewood. Our original reservation at The Stockbridge Country Inn was for two nights, but we were enjoying ourselves so much that we extended our visit for two more nights. The Stockbridge Country Inn is a delightful place to relax and enjoy all that the Berkshires has to offer. The location is ideal - everything you want to see and do is nearby. The grounds around the pool, and the pool itself are pristine. The rooms are charming, spacious, and are kept spotless. The room chairs and sofa are very comfortable. There's ample drawer and closet space. The bathroom is well-appointed; toiletries and towels abound. There are sitting rooms and a lovely, sunlit, enclosed porch to read and enjoy the peace and quiet. They have an interesting collection of books. The inn is decorated with some eclectic objects, as well as pretty plates, cups, and lamps. Diane and Vernon are gracious hosts. I enjoyed talking to Vernon about his WWII experiences. Diane is very friendly, and always let us know that she was there to help if we needed anything. She's very knowledgeable about the area attractions. The staff is sweet and accomodating. Everyone aimed to make our stay a pleasurable one. Breakfast is wonderful. The table is set elegantly, and is inviting. You start with pineapple or melon boats sliced into bite-sized pieces, a delicious variety of zucchini bread, scones, croissant, and coffee cake. There's fresh coffee and orange juice. After that, Diane cooks to order - eggs of any style, oatmeal, blueberry pancakes, finely-sliced bacon, or French toast with any number of breads. Everything is presented beautifully, garnished with berries. We felt completely at home day and night. The Stockbridge Country Inn was the perfect spot for our getaway, and we'll definitely return.

The Stockbridge Country Inn is a gem! The room are comfortable and nicely decorated. The inn itself is everything you'd expect in a New England Inn. Diane and Vernon are wonderful hosts and prepare a great homemade breakfast.

The welcome is warm and sincere. The Inn is beautiful and so cozy. Plenty of privacy, but also the opportunity to meet new people. Food and service are exceptional. Our annual stay at the Inn is the highlight of our year...our only complaint is that we can't stay longer!!

Recently spent 2 nights. Quiet, convenient to everything, comfortable throughout in common areas, room, bed, etc. What a breakfast! Formal setting with candles and delicious food! Choice of juices, pastries, eggs, beverages, etc. with wonderful service. Didn't use the in ground pool, so I can't comment on that except to say it looked clean and inviting.Diane and Vernon are very warm, friendly and welcoming, with excellent suggestions as to where to eat, and what to see. My only criticism would be the doors to the bathroom due to them being clear glass covered with very shear curtains which means they are see through. Even though it was a private, in suite, bathroom, some might not appreciate the lack of privacy.

From the warm personal greeting to fond farewell our stay at the Stockbridge Country Inn was simply the best. The owners go out of their way to make this the most enjoyable and relaxing experience. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The bathrooms are fully stocked with amenities in case you forget anything. The grounds are lovely and the pool provides a centerpiece for a quiet retreat. The breakfast is fantastic with lots a variety. The service is 5 Star. Centrally located to all Berkshire attractions. This is a must stay facility. Peter F

Found SCI online, which can sometimes be scary, but NOT this time!! We stayed for three nights just ahead of the Fourth of July, and had a terrific experience. The inn is charming, the room was even better than the photo, the food - and service - was excellent and the innkeepers hospitable and knowledgeable. Beautiful, peaceful grounds and a pool with crystal clear water were a treat. We R&R....Recommend and would Return!!!!

We stayed only two nights but were treated like long lost relatives. The room was clean and cozy just like you would expect from your uncle and aunt. Vern and Diane gave us great advice on what to do during our short stay and even provided tickets to the "Rockwell Museum" (our intented purpose). The best part of the stay was breakfast. Diane is a gourmet chef with a country flavor. Well done!

Very charming old house. Beautifully maintained. Very clean, warm and bright. Loads of towels in the bathroom along with some extra toiletries you don't normally see (like shoe mitts). Innkeepers very knowledgeable about the area. Would stay here again.
