My wife and I have stayed at this Inn three times with our friends and it has been the best - Especially morning breakfast - The food is great. In the afternoon we sit by the outdoor pool or take a dip - Really nice. The interior of the Inn is really interesting - Antiques and beautiful books everywhere. The Inn keepers are the best.

We stayed at the Stockbridge Country Inn during the 4th of July weekend. We were greeted by the innkeeper who was delightful. Our room, the Ben's Suite was so quaint and cozy. The breakfast and service was beyond what we expected. All the other guests were friendly. It was a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

We came to the Berkshires for the James Taylor 4th of July concert at Tanglewood. Our original reservation at The Stockbridge Country Inn was for two nights, but we were enjoying ourselves so much that we extended our visit for two more nights. The Stockbridge Country Inn is a delightful place to relax and enjoy all that the Berkshires has to offer. The location is ideal - everything you want to see and do is nearby. The grounds around the pool, and the pool itself are pristine. The rooms are charming, spacious, and are kept spotless. The room chairs and sofa are very comfortable. There's ample drawer and closet space. The bathroom is well-appointed; toiletries and towels abound. There are sitting rooms and a lovely, sunlit, enclosed porch to read and enjoy the peace and quiet. They have an interesting collection of books. The inn is decorated with some eclectic objects, as well as pretty plates, cups, and lamps. Diane and Vernon are gracious hosts. I enjoyed talking to Vernon about his WWII experiences. Diane is very friendly, and always let us know that she was there to help if we needed anything. She's very knowledgeable about the area attractions. The staff is sweet and accomodating. Everyone aimed to make our stay a pleasurable one. Breakfast is wonderful. The table is set elegantly, and is inviting. You start with pineapple or melon boats sliced into bite-sized pieces, a delicious variety of zucchini bread, scones, croissant, and coffee cake. There's fresh coffee and orange juice. After that, Diane cooks to order - eggs of any style, oatmeal, blueberry pancakes, finely-sliced bacon, or French toast with any number of breads. Everything is presented beautifully, garnished with berries. We felt completely at home day and night. The Stockbridge Country Inn was the perfect spot for our getaway, and we'll definitely return.

The Stockbridge Country Inn is a gem! The room are comfortable and nicely decorated. The inn itself is everything you'd expect in a New England Inn. Diane and Vernon are wonderful hosts and prepare a great homemade breakfast.

The welcome is warm and sincere. The Inn is beautiful and so cozy. Plenty of privacy, but also the opportunity to meet new people. Food and service are exceptional. Our annual stay at the Inn is the highlight of our year...our only complaint is that we can't stay longer!!

Recently spent 2 nights. Quiet, convenient to everything, comfortable throughout in common areas, room, bed, etc. What a breakfast! Formal setting with candles and delicious food! Choice of juices, pastries, eggs, beverages, etc. with wonderful service. Didn't use the in ground pool, so I can't comment on that except to say it looked clean and inviting.Diane and Vernon are very warm, friendly and welcoming, with excellent suggestions as to where to eat, and what to see. My only criticism would be the doors to the bathroom due to them being clear glass covered with very shear curtains which means they are see through. Even though it was a private, in suite, bathroom, some might not appreciate the lack of privacy.

From the warm personal greeting to fond farewell our stay at the Stockbridge Country Inn was simply the best. The owners go out of their way to make this the most enjoyable and relaxing experience. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The bathrooms are fully stocked with amenities in case you forget anything. The grounds are lovely and the pool provides a centerpiece for a quiet retreat. The breakfast is fantastic with lots a variety. The service is 5 Star. Centrally located to all Berkshire attractions. This is a must stay facility. Peter F

Found SCI online, which can sometimes be scary, but NOT this time!! We stayed for three nights just ahead of the Fourth of July, and had a terrific experience. The inn is charming, the room was even better than the photo, the food - and service - was excellent and the innkeepers hospitable and knowledgeable. Beautiful, peaceful grounds and a pool with crystal clear water were a treat. We R&R....Recommend and would Return!!!!

We stayed only two nights but were treated like long lost relatives. The room was clean and cozy just like you would expect from your uncle and aunt. Vern and Diane gave us great advice on what to do during our short stay and even provided tickets to the "Rockwell Museum" (our intented purpose). The best part of the stay was breakfast. Diane is a gourmet chef with a country flavor. Well done!

Very charming old house. Beautifully maintained. Very clean, warm and bright. Loads of towels in the bathroom along with some extra toiletries you don't normally see (like shoe mitts). Innkeepers very knowledgeable about the area. Would stay here again.

This inn is flawless in every detail. Filled with comfortable country antiques, our room was beautifully appointed--a fireplace, four-poster bed, quality finishes---and luxe bath. Indulgences include an abundance of plush towels, large bars of soaps, lots of lighting, mouthwash, toothpaste and toothbrushes (and i'd forgotten toothpaste--lucky us!) The grounds are enchanting---as are inn's views of the gardens, pool, patio and barn--they offer an enchanting breakfast backdrop and make poolside that much more enjoyable. The country breakfast was ample and unhurried, and Diane-the innkeeper-was only too happy to accommodate any request. This inn is convenient to local sites-it's a short and easy trip to Tanglewood, Stockbridge, Lenox, and Lee. Close-by and not-to-be missed is the Berkshires Botanical Garden and the Norman Rockwell Museum; both offer wonderful paths and trails to walk off the Stockbridge Country Inn's indulgent breakfasts. Our annual trip to Tanglewood now has an inn we can consider our home away from home. Thank you Diane and Vern--you've invested much time, effort and expense to creating an idyllic country haven~

Excellent B&B. Quaint, quiet, great location. Close to Stockbridge Center but away from the crowds. Also close to Tanglewood and Rockwell Museum. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service fantastic. WE had a great time and will be back again.

I can't begin to express how wonderful and pleasant our stay at The Country Inn was. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the Innkeepers, Diane and Vern. They were absolutely fun and delightful people. Then we went up to our room. It was just gorgeous. Very tastefully decorated and it smelled so fresh and clean. We stayed there last summer for the first time, but I think my wife and I will make it a yearly tradition for our vacation. I would highly recommend this Inn. We can't wait for summer. Our room is already booked.

Vernon & Diane are terrific people and wonderful hosts. They put their loving care into the house and the grounds. The Reuss' previously owned an antique business and it shows in their stylish decor. The location is great -- you only hear birds at breakfast, no traffic noise. Nearby attractions include the Norman Rockwell Museum, the Stockbridge Botanical Gardens, and Viva Restaurant (Spanish cuisine).

We visited on Memorial Day weekend this year and just have to say how beautiful our stay was. My husband and I are very picky when it comes to having a nice B&B we can spend a romantic and relaxing getaway. Breakfast was excellent, fresh and homemade everything. We even asked for special made to order belgian waffles and voila! Innkeepers are very friendly and knowledgeable they were very helpful in getting us reservations on short notice for fine dining (also very good). Rooms are very nicely appointed with antiques and a lot of detail in the private bath we had. Our room overlooked the pool in the Stockbridge Suite which I recommend as it's the largest of the suites. Overall we loved it and consider it our new home away from home! A+
