We enjoyed to stay at "The Anchorage" for 4 days, near a beautiful beach with warm water! We have a good time in Cape Cod with the sun and also the hurricane "Irene"...! Thank you so much Ruth for your hospitality. Yous scones and muffins were délicious. You are a very special Lady with a big heart! Thanks again! Lise + Jean-Claude from Québec.

The rooms are cozy and clean, the warm muffins for breakfast are absolutely delicious, and Mrs. Masciarotte is a delightful host. Literally across the street from a peaceful walk on the beach, the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing and forgetting your worries. Definitely way more than a bargain for the reasonable price.

    Will come back AGAIN!

My boyfriend and I were looking to stay a couple of days in the dead of winter, as we could not afford a flight back to California one weekend. Ruth took us into her home and gave us a beautiful, cozy room worth every (affordable) penny. Clean sheets, a large bed and a bathroom greeted us along with some fresh-made gerkins (e.g., gingerbread BROWNIES!), which were absolutely delicious. Ruth had some great suggestions for places to eat and things to do, where people our age (mid-20's) were few and far between. Every morning, Ruth was sure to have her famous fresh-baked muffins, butter, tea, juice and coffee ready when we were. She bakes "whatever tickles her fancy" that day, which happened to be oatmeal raisin and pumpkin during our stay. Ruth may be an older woman, but she is full of spunk and great storytelling. She knows everything about the area, so if you're interested in history, she's the "go-to." All in all, I would recommend this kind woman's adorable B&B to anyone. I only wish we visited in the spring/summer so we could enjoy the fresh seafood nearby and a walk on the beach, just across the street. THANKS, RUTH, for helping us make great memories on Cape Cod!

This B&B is in a perfect location, just across the road from the beach and close to a couple of restaurants. The owner, Ms. Masciarotte, is pretty set in her ways, but the rules she would like the guests to follow are perfectly understandable and in no way unreasonable. The rooms are basic and clean, and the breakfast was quite tasty. Finally, the price is definitely right.

    Best place on the Cape!

We have been staying at the Anchorage for close to twenty years and there is simply no better place to be on Cape Cod. Ruth is a wonderful and knowledgeable host, rooms are excellent and the walk to the beach is 20 seconds away! The location is superb as you are mid-cape and close to every place on the Cape. Lots of great restaurants close by, and you will enjoy a peaceful and rewarding vacation here. Simply the best spot on the Cape and a great value for your money.
