One of the nicest Bed & Breakfast I have been to! The Innkeeper Richard was extremely accommodating and friendly. The room was perfect! Very clean and very convenient to downtown Newburyport. I will definitely stay there again in the near future!

We were pleasantly surprised with the this place! I would stay here again! Very clean, comfortable rooms. The ONLY thing bad were that the walls in the unit we were in were VERY thin, so thin we could hear normal conversation and snoring next door...they should insulate the walls! Other than that, this was a great place! CJ - Minneapolis, MN

We were supposed to initially stay in the main house, and were assigned one of the rooms in the Carriage House. Which was fine, until we ended up paying more than what we were quoted. There was nothing to be done there, as the innkeeper was out of town, but he cleared everything up just as soon as he heard. It was wonderful talking to the ladies at the front desk, and I got some great books recommended to me! Bradford Tavern was mentioned as THE place to go for dinner, and it was indeed very good food. We hope to return again!
Thank you for staying with us, it was a pleasure to have you. I am sorry for any mistake on our part, and I am glad we were able to respond to it in a satisfactory manner. We look forward to having you back.

Great place to stay; very convenient to all of the wonderful things to do on the North Shore. We and many family members have stayed here over the last 20 years and always come back here when we are in the area.
Thank you for staying with us! As a 6th Generation Hotelier in New England, it is gratifying to see guests return decade after decade. That is the foundation upon which this trade was built, and we try hard to meet that same standard of quality, over a century after this Inn was built.

This was our second stay at the Country Garden Inn, and it was as pleasant as the first one. Pleasant rooms and surroundings, a competent and friendly staff, and close to our points of interest (Newburyport, Farnham's fried clams, and Ipswich River/Mass Audubon sanctuary). We will more than likely stay there again!
Thank you for your kind review and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

My husband I needed to escape for a couple days and when we went online to find a bed and breakfast that was close to where we were heading we found the Country Garden Inn. The price was comparable to the big box hotels and much nicer.
Thank you for your kind words, we strive to make everyone feel as if they are important to us, because they are! As a 6th Generation Hotelier I take pride in this Hotel, and it's staff. It is gratifying to hear that after 90 years, we are still doing things the right way.

We needed a weekend getaway badly and got the townhouse... it was amazing and exactly what we needed to relax... u feel like ur up in New Hampshire or Maine its so quiet and peaceful... the hot tub was definitely worth the stay and the coziness of the townhouse with the fireplace in the living room as well as the loft bedroom was very romantic
Thank You! It was a pleasure to have you here, and we are looking forward to having you back!

WE had passed this property many times and when we had to stay away from home for a night we decided to try it. The grounds were very nice and the desk person was very nice but the rooms were very much in need of updating. They were a bit shabby. The pool towels were much better than the room towels.
Thank you for your review. As you stayed in one of the annex rooms, I understand your perspective. We are a boutique hotel, and we have many types of rooms, and the majority of our larger rooms are only a decade old. We are in the process of updating our annex rooms, to meet current expectations, and your review is very helpful. I hope you will come to check out our progress next Season, and enjoy the rest of your Summer!

Really pretty hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. They're very generous - I never felt like they were cutting corners. Everything is clean and updated. Nice pool, pretty grounds. Had a really great time there.
Thank You for your kind words! It was great to have you and your family with us, and hope to see you all again next Summer!

They called to make sure I was still coming and knew the way. And when I left my I Pad in the room after checking out - they e-mailed, called, and got it to a friend so I could get it back. Very Nice!!
Thank You! Guest security, as well as lost items being reunited with their Owners, are two of the many things we pride ourselves on! It was great to have you, and we are looking forward to seeing you again soon.
