Seafarer Inn

  • Inn Details

For over one hundred years, The Seafarer Inn has provided guests with a quiet, secluded destination in one of New England's most picturesque locations. The Inn offers visitors a warm, informal, atmosphere with guest rooms filled with light and sparkle coming from our spectacular ocean views. Some of our guests have said the walk down Old Garden Path is one of the most beautiful walks in the world! Our location offers an unlimited variety of activities. Relax on our wrap-around porch with your own favorite beverages while enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean -- or wander the quiet seaside neighborhoods. Walk a few minutes and you're in the heart of Rockport's village, home of dozens of shops, art galleries, restaurants and other attractions including out door music and indoor chamber music in the month of June

    Innkeeper Information

    Innkeepers Description:

We are interested in meeting our guests and finding out about YOU! Stephen is always reading (he is a retired math professor) at least when he is not making breakfast or listening to your interesting stories. Dolores is a bit more outgoing and kind of runs the show! We love to talk about our love of being in Rockport--having moved here from Chicago nine years ago. We are easy going and either visit if you want to visit or just let you be off by youself in your own romantic world.

    Signature Dish

    The Seafarer's Fresh Fruit Feast
No matter what time of year a eyecatching cut up fresh fruit plate is the center of the morning buffet. It may include various seasonal fruits, plus year-round available pineapple, melons, berries, oranges, banannas and on occasion, organic frozen berries. The kind of offering you seldom make for yourself at home. It is delicious with our organic granola and yogurt and a slice of the artisanal bread offering of the day and other buffet extras.

Bed was old and not that comfortable but the views were magnificent and everyone was very friendly. Continental style breakfast was fine but not enough room for all guests to eat at the small indoor tables on a colder morning.

We had planned to stay for 1 night, we felt the place was so nice, we made it 2. The innkeepers are very accomodating, and flexible for your needs. Very nice view of the shore, nice neighborhood, off the beaten path, quiet, birds in the thicket, nice place to let your mind relax. Very clean place. Very good breakfast, nicely catered.
