I had a great stay at the White porch Inn. We stayed in the Wood End room and it was so cozy and very nicely decorated. The Jacuzzi was really only big enough for one comfortably but very relaxing and the fact that it was lighted was really cool!!! Dale was a great host and the breakfast layout was great!! I definitely recommend staying if your considering Provincetown. I know that's where ill be staying the next time I go there!!!

The white porch inn is a cute and clean place for the money. The rooms are a bit small and I guess the walls are a bit thin. We could hear almost everything that was going on in the other rooms around us.

We visited Provincetown over the Martin Luther King weekend. The White Porch Inn had rooms available and was conveniently located near the center of town. The room was spacious and matched the online photos and the off-season rates were quite reasonable. Dale helped with our late check-in and was available for questions during our visit. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed interacting with some other guests. We had a great time overall and will definitely stay here the next time we are in town!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the White Porch Inn over a weekend in January and had a wonderful time. Dale, the owner, is so kind and accommodating, and the inn itself is beautiful and such a treat to stay in. We will definitely return!

Lovely, stylish, cozy, well-located inn. Small but extremely comfortable room. Excellent breakfast with a large variety of food and a hot dish cooked to order. Friendly and accomodating staff. Would be happy to recommend this inn and hope to return.

I have been to Provincetown multiple times over the years but have never stayed at this Inn before. I wish I had. Dale was a delightful host - the room inviting - the breakfast delicious. Highly recommend it and location central to everything.

Happy we stayed at White Porch Inn. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was very friendly amd efficient. Breakfast was tasty with a hot choice each day. Much better than the stale muffins and cereal you tend to get at many bed and breakfasts. Definitely recommend.

Very Friendly staff who went out of their way to make our first stay in Provincetown great. From recommendations to even helping to set reservations. The rooms were cozy and clean. Also even commented to the owner that there were no surprises. What you see in the photos, is what you get. No tricks with angles or lighting as we saw with some of the other places we looked at online. We were very happy we went with White Porch over those others.

This place was the cleanest B&B I have ever stayed at. The host was gracious enough, not much of a talker & didn't provide much additional feedback unless prompted but overall it was a nice stay and I would go back for the cleanliness, location and daily hot breakfast although more variety of baked goods would have been preferred to go with the delicious coffee. Also, leaving some snacks out throughout the day has always been the norm at other B&B's that I've stayed at but not this one. Only complaint would be noise, the walls are thin & you can easily overhear the conversations of others in adjoining rooms, I wished that it was stressed more to guests to be midful of that. During the 5-6pm wine hour it gets very loud in the common room which echos up to the room but it's only an hour or so.

Dale the Innkeeper was welcoming to this small beautiful B&B. The houuse and room interiors are done to perfection with good taste and high attention for details. The inn is off the main Commercial street, the center of action in this beautiful and uniqe town.

The room was clean and well appointed. We would definitely stay here again.

We recently enjoyed our second visit to WPI after a wonderful visit there in 2012. Unfortunately, our stay lasted only one night as we had to return home for a family emergency. Dale and the staff at WPI were super understanding, kind and considerate with our issue. We look forward to a return stay in the near future!!

My wife and I just completed a mid-week getaway at the White Porch Inn, and we are extremely pleased with the experience. Centrally located just off Provincetown’s main street (Commercial), the Inn is beautifully furnished and decorated, and maintained to perfection. (A look at the “Before and After” album documenting the transformation of the Inn to its present state demonstrates the care and creativity invested to make it that way.) Our room (Long Point Light), light and airy with windows on two sides, was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The Inn’s common areas – living room and dining room – are well-appointed and interesting spaces, with a variety of bold paintings by the German artist Brixy adding a nice effect. We much enjoyed gathering here with other guests in the evening for a complementary glass of wine before going out to dinner and a relaxing coffee/tea upon return. This was also the setting for our delicious morning breakfasts – an impressive array of hot dishes (banana-nut pancakes one morning, western eggs another) plus fruits, cereals, pastries, breads (including home-made pumpkin bread), yoghurt and teas and coffees. The hot dishes were expertly prepared by Dale, the Inn’s very personable and informative manager. Dale, assisted by houseboy Brendan, set a fine standard of B&B professionalism and operational efficiency, while at the same time making guests feel truly welcome and appreciated. The White Porch Inn is real B&B ambience and value-for-money. We would go back in a heartbeat!

The challenge with a place that has great reviews is that it begets high expecatations. I would say for the most part they were met. My only criticism would be that I would have traded some of the formality of the place for a more relaxed, summer vibe.
5 on August 28, 2013
Great central location and exceptional service. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Visiting this inn is like visiting your wealthy aun't summer home. Having to ring the old fashioned doorbell (a crank on the actual door) makes you think a butler or a maid will answer. IWe had a private entrance to our room, a deck and chairs; add to this some great service and food and you get a wonderful experience. I cannot wait to visit the WPI again. The entire staff is so accommodating. They want their guests to have the best time possible. A big thank you to all of the staff.

We enjoyed our stay at the White Porch in very much. The room was clean and well appointed right down to the woodwork and paint. Dale served up a delicious feast in the lovely kitchen where everyone was pleasant and friendly. My advice - book parking with the in so you don't have to scout around.

This was my wife and my first stay at any bed and breakfast, and we could not have been happier. The service was impeccable, and everyone took the time to chat with us, answer our questions, and made recommendations. The breakfast both days we were there was delicious, and we enjoyed the wine and cheese hour that was hosted in the afternoon. The rooms were immaculate. Finally, for location in Provincetown, this was just a half-block (literally 200 yards) from Commercial Street, just close enough to the hustle and bustle to enjoy being in P-town, but quiet, quiet, quiet! We will definitely be back!

My wife and I stayed 3 nights, everyone was wonderful. The WPI is a very warm and supportive place, lovely rooms, a wonderful staff making our staff one to remember. Our room was very comfortable, breakfast was always a treat. The location is ideal, close to everything but on a quite street. My wife and I have traveled to every continent and stayed in some wonderful (and not so wonderful!) places; the WPI ranks with the best. Looking forward to a return stay!

We had the opportunity to stay at the White Porch Inn for four nights in August 2013. The Inn exceeded our expectations in every way. Dale was terrific and greeted us the minute we walked in. Quickly checked us in, took us to our rooms etc. He is the perfect host and we instantly felt right at home. Our room was in the carriage house and was ideal and even had two bathrooms. Breakfasts were just right, and there was a different hot item each day. Brendan who works at the Inn was so helpful and pleasant and everyone seemed to really enjoy their jobs and worked hard to please all of the guests at the Inn. We would highly recommend the White Porch Inn and look forward to a return visit very soon.

We just arrived back from a 4-night stay at White Porch Inn. We have been traveling to Provincetown each year for about the last 7-years and we can honestly say that this inn is now #1 on our list. It shines in four key areas: 1. Cleanliness 2. Location 3. Top-notch staff 4. High-end amenities at a reasonable cost So, if you’re looking for an inn in P-town that will exceed your expectations, this is it.

We absolutely loved the WP Inn. So clean and in the heart of town. We chose to stay here for the first time and picked the Herring Cove suite. I was perfect for us. Located at the back of the building, it is quite, cosy, updated and had it's own entrance next to a back deck. The staff was professional and very helpful. We travel frequently to Ptwon and WP Inn is now on the top of our list to stay.
5 on July 14, 2013
Tom, Dale, Sean and Brendan were wonderful hosts who made us feel welcome and at home. The breakfasts were homemade (pancakes, spinach quiche, and veggie frittata - to die for!) as well as all the other choices that were laid out for our dining pleasure. The wine and cheese at 5pm allowed us to meet and mix with other guests, talk about and appreciate the art Tom displayed throughout the Inn, and get ideas of what we should see the next day. We will definitely return! Robin & Danny

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for finally giving me a stay worth every cent! I have stayed in lots of bed and breakfasts and hotels along the east coast and this one tops them all. Every nook and cranny of the building was clean, crisp, and tidy. The curb appeal was so adorable! And when you walk in it's such a pleasant surprise with all the beautiful art work displayed. The staff was very attentive and made sure our stay was as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They were friendly and made sure we felt at home. We stayed in Race Point and our room was spotless! I am a clean freak and a germaphobe. So I do my own little inspection before laying in beds and taking showers in hotel rooms. I couldn't find one thing that set me off! There are not enough great words in the dictionary to describe how clean and cozy the room was. I will definitely be staying at the White Porch Inn again, and again, and again... Naomi

I recently stayed at the Inn for 2 nights with my daughter and sister, everything about our stay was perfect, pardon the phrase, but you could eat off the bathroom floor, it was so clean!! The main house was so very inviting and comfortable to relax and breakfast.... excellent. Our hosts could not have been more inviting and helped with making sure we found the best spots for dinner, entertainment, beach time and shopping. We can't wait to come back! thank you so much

My husband and I stayed at the White Porch Inn for our very first trip to Provincetown and it provided us with an incredibly peaceful reprieve. The Inn is beautifully decorated, warmly inviting, and conveniently located. We split our time relaxing in our room, visiting with the Inn Keepers & other guests, and enjoying the wonders of P-Town. This trip made for a lovely end to our honeymoon & despite poor "beach weather," we never felt that we missed out on our vacation in any way. The Inn is a spectacular NE B&B -- it is beautifully & comfortably appointed and the in-house art gallery is worth soaking up! (We wish we could have taken every painting home with us.) The rooms are also as lovely as the rest of the house. We found our room to be a pristine with comfortable linens, robes, and a jacuzzi tub. It all provided a very Cape Cod-esque feel, which is what we hoped to discover while staying here. We were also pleasantly surprised how accessible the Inn was to everything we hoped to see and experience in P-Town. The Inn is nestled on a quiet street overlooking the ocean, making for a restful stay -- and yet in less than a 1 minute walk, you can find yourself in the heart of P-Town where you can enjoy the beach, the beauty of the Art District, & all of the shopping, eating, & nightlife offered by Commercial Street. The Inn Keepers were amazingly helpful with providing maps and recommendations. The absolute best aspect of the White Porch Inn is the friendly & inviting atmosphere. When we arrived the Inn Keeper expressed hope that we would find the Inn to be our "home away from home," which we quickly found to be true (& then some!). We chose to spend almost as much time at the Inn as we did out and about in P-Town, and we were so happy to do so! We prefer to stay at B&B's over other kinds of accommodations, and the White Porch Inn met all expectations. We cannot wait to visit again!

I stayed for a week at the White Porch Inn while taking a master art class in Provincetown. The accomodations were perfect for convenience and ccaring attention to what I needed each day. The location was convenient to both the Center where I attended the class and Commercial St where the shops, galleries and restaurants are located...both were within two short blocks. The Innkeeper and staff asked what I needed and made sure I had everything to fascilitate and easy and successful time.

The White Porch Inn is a lovely place to stay while visiting Provincetown. While the rooms are small (as they are in most places in town) they are clean, pleasant and offer the feel of being a guest in someone's beautiful home while not slipping into the "preciousness" one often feels in small accomodations. Afternoon wine and cheese offers a pleasant opportunity to meet other guests and gives one a reason to want to return in the early evening. Breakfast is delicious and included in the room cost.

I stayed here for 4 nights April 14 ~ 17 and enjoyed the whoe experience. I had the sunny room over the porch with views of the harbor AND the monument and loved it all. My fiance and I stayed at The White Porch Inn over a holiday weekend, and it was breathtaking. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and so much fun to stay in. The innkeeper, Dale, does so much work without ever complaining and was extremely accommodating to anything we asked, from making a dinner reservation to one of the local restaurants to spending some time speaking with us and showing us the house. We looked forward to breakfast every morning - you really couldn’t beat it (it was delicious!) - and wine and snacks every afternoon. The house itself is beautiful and is designed so that every space makes your eye wander toward it. Also, we explored the town and this was by far one of the best locations. Overall, we had an amazing time and are, without a doubt, planning a return visit soon!

We stayed at the White Porch Inn for a weekend in January and we found it to be absolutely magnificent! The inn is tucked away on a side street in Provincetown and is within walking distance to pretty much everything. Dale was an amazing host, always there when he needed to be but out of sight when we wanted alone time. The entire inn and room (Race Point) were spotless and decorated exquisitely! Breakfasts were amazing as well! We will definitely return!!

This was my third year staying at the White Porch Inn and I have not been disappointed. The Inn is beautifully decorated and comfortable and the staff is always available to help. We chose to spend the New Year's weekend at the White Porch this year. The Inn was full and the guests were all very friendly. The wine and cheese hours were quite chatty events! As usual, the breakfast was plentiful with cereals, fruit, eggs, several kinds of bread and a hot dish every day, waffles, pancakes, etc. This is my second time at the Inn since Dale came on board as innkeeper and he has been wonderful. If you are looking for upscale, friendly accommodations in or off season, the White Porch Inn is highly recommended.

The White Porch Inn is a wonderful experience right in the heart of P-Town. A thirty second walk to Commercial Street and the ocean/beach! The rooms are beautiful and sparkle clean! The common areas are lovely and open to all- we sipped coffee by the fireplace, had breakfast in the beautiful kitchen/dining area and look forward to coming back in the warmer weather to experience the beatiful "White Porch" itself. Many thanks to Dale for his hospitality and again- you can't go wrong with this beatiful Inn

Our hosts were AMAZING. Commercial Street was a little bit torn up to replace the sewage system, and not being too familiar with traffic patterns, I had to call when I arrived in Provincetown to find out the best way to get to the White Porch Inn (Johnson Street had a "Do Not Enter" sign up). Dale was very kind on the phone and told me to just drive up and park in the driveway. He was also very gracious while we were there. My partner had never been to PTown before, so he offered some tips on where to go, and directions on how to get there. The place was immaculate, and was just an outstanding experience. I'll definitely be staying there again, and will certainly recommend it to my friends.

Recently stayed at The White Porch Inn the weekend after Thanksgiving 2012. This was our first time to the Inn though we are regular P'town visitors. As we've experienced in the off-season previously, I expected the Inn to be in "slumber" mode with few rooms booked and a meager breakfast of muffins and cold cereal. What an amazing surprise to find the house was full of fun and interesting people and Dale's breakfasts were hot and delicious! The White Porch Inn is quintessentially characteristic of the American New England vernacular. It's atmosphere is spot-on to the vibe of a beachy getaway, regardless of season. The common rooms of the house are well appointed, spotless, welcoming and comfortable. When we first walked in, we felt as though we should have rung the doorbell - you feel as though you are truly walking into a home. This trip to P'town post-Thanksgiving was an anniversary present to my husband and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations and, especially, the romantic gas fireplace in our room. The room was well appointed and comfortable and perfect for a getaway weekend for two. The house has many unique rooms that can fit anyone's travel plans. If an Inn is only as good as its keeper, much credit for our wonderful stay goes to Dale! Dale was our one-man welcoming committee, concierge and cook. He was there when we had questions but not obtrusive in the least. His has been in P'town for many years and has great insight into things to do and see. Finally, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! We would have been happy to stay at The White Porch Inn wherever it was in P'town, but the location is hard to beat! A few steps from Commercial Street, a few minutes from the center of town and, from some rooms, a view of the harbor. Not hard to see why The White Porch Inn won the Best of Cape Cod 2012! We are already planning our next weekend jaunt and feel like we've found our second "home" in P'town.

The White Porch Inn is gorgeous. The community rooms are large and brightly lit by natural sunlight. There is lots of space for breakfast dining in a community atmosphere and the food was delicious! The chefs were kind and accomodating too. We loved our room with it's own fireplace and the extra soft comforter was appreciated on the cool nights! Thanks for a great stay!

Good - Property is in great shape and clean, location is less noisy than many in PTown, all the basics are there. Other - A bit rigid about rules. For example, we had the room with a roof deck but were not told until we checked in that you can't even walk out there between 10pm and 8a because the deck is over 2 other rooms. So much for paying extra to watch the sun rise.

Great location, just a short walk to center of town shops and restaurants. We stayed in the 3rd floor room that was A++...very unique (and well put together) and a roof top deck with awesome views of Provincetown. Enjoy!!

My bf and I spent 3 amazing days at this wonderful B&B. We treated ourselves to the "owners" rooftop suite, which is magical. The rooftop patio was the most romantic place ever and the perfect place to enjoy the sunsets. Breakfast was a delight with lots of fresh treats. Overall we loved the space, the attention to detail, the kindness of the staff and of course the perfect location. We will definitely be back next year !

This is the the most relaxing, comfortable and clean B&B we have ever visited. We have returned for seven visits over the last five years and we are never disappointed. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the other guests are so friendly (along with a wonderful staff who make us/them feel this way).

Everything about our second stay was as perfect as our first stay 4 years ago. The rooms are amazing, as is the breakfast food. The staff is really incredible! They make you feel like you are in your own home. Outstanding Inn!

Breakfast was a great time to meet other guests of the hotel yet i felt as though i had totally privacy while staying here. Tom and Dale are very good at making you feel at home in their home! i would certainly stay here again in the future

Beautiful B&B and we had a blast. The only issue was when breakfast was not served one morning. The management was very professional and apologetic and was very generous to offer a complimentary night's stay for the trouble. Great people and wonderful place.

Dale and his staff did a terrific job making us feel welcome and at home. The location was very convenient to shopping and harbor, the room charming and spotless, and the breakfast creative and tasty. Great place to stay - heading back this fall!!

We stayed for one night and had a wonderful time. The inn itself is lovely, our room was immaculate, the breakfast (waffles!) was delicious, the location was ideal, and the White Porch Inn team was friendly and very accommodating. I will come back here next time I'm in Provincetown. Highly recommended!

My partner and I so enjoyed our stay. The Inn is walking distance to everything, yet peaceful and quiet for a great night's sleep. Our room was extremely comfortable and spotless, and we found the staff to be gracious, kind and helpful. Coffee on the porch each morning was perfect and breakfasts were delicious! Thanks for a great weekend.

Our second stay at the WPI was great. Our room was perfect. The breakfast of the first day was outstanding but the second breakfast was too simple for the WPI. The welcoming spirit of the owner, the manager and Ivan was perfect. I can't wait for another stay.

4.4 on July 21, 2012
The White Porch Inn is the perfect combination of company and privacy. I had a late evening arrival and Matt wrote me a personal letter welcoming me to the inn. Breakfast was fresh and varied on the five mornings I was there. The location cannot be beat--barely two blocks to Commercial Street--but the street is definitely quiet at night and feels very cozy. I stayed in the Highland room and while it was on the smaller side it made great use of space and was perfect for one person or even for a couple. The whole house has been wonderfully renovated and is a great combination of old charm and modern luxury. This is one of the best guest houses to stay in while visiting Provincetown!

Booking at the White Porch Inn was a matter of grabbing a room in the only place that could accommodate my friend and I for the entire period of Bear Week, a very popular event for hairy men. Although the pictures looked nice, you can't always be certain that's what the place currently looks like. Upon arriving, my friend and I were pleased to find that the pictures were accurate, but didn't really convey the cosiness and tranquility of the rooms, public spaces or the inviting front porch. Each staff member was quick to introduce himself and make us feel welcome. The breakfast offerings started off somewhat modestly, but improved in variety as our stay unfolded. One of the real pleasures was meeting other guests for breakfast and enjoying prolonged conversations and many laughs with them. The same thing happened at cocktail time in the communal living room. As the week progessed, we enjoyed our stay more and more. The only drawback was the extra walking distance from the Inn to the center of town and many activities compared to other places we have stayed at that were closer the main clubs, restaurants and stores. This isn't a negative if you don't mind walking at all. We were pleased with our stay at the Inn overall!

I am not much of a joiner, so I really didn't meet many of the staff or other guests, but everyone was perfectly pleasant. My room was right at the top of the steps, so could be loud at times, but that was more due to other folks walking up the steps. There is one zone AC, so was very cool, which I appreciated. All in all, a perfectly pleasant stay.

Stayed for a long weekend just before the 4th of July. Fabulous place. Staff (Matt & James) are very welcoming and friendly. Other guests were very nice as well. We actually made a few new friends. Breakfast was great. Very tasty variety of fruit, pastry, yogurt, eggs & bacon. Would most definitely stay here again.

Owner, innkeeper and staff all take justifiable pride in this exceptional Inn. (Everything in mint condition - no marks on walls, nothing looks worn, professionally decorated rooms spotless, etc.) Close attention to every detail. We've stayed at the White Porch in 2009, were married on the roof-top deck in 2010, and just returned from celebrating our 2nd anniversary there last month. Amazing mixture of guests each time - the way life should be. Nobska Light, on the top floor of the carriage house is the best choice. John and Tom

We spent two restful nights at the White Porch Inn. Our room was small, as we expected given the age of the house, but comfortable and quite clean. Matt, the Innkeeper, was warm and helpful. We also enjoyed talking with the other staff. Breakfast was yummy and abundant. The other guests were friendly, the Inn was quiet and smoke-free, the common spaces were roomy, but cozy. All in all, the trip provided us with a much-needed rest and chance to enjoy the other’s company.

After a hectic week in New York City my wife and I took an Amtrak and ferry to Provincetown. We stayed at the White Porch Inn which had an extremely convenient location. Being British we are used to B&B accomodation but The White Porch Inn went way beyond any experiences we have had in England and Europe. The manager Matt, was charming, helpful and extremely knowledgeable regarding Provincetown especially restaurants. The home cooked breakfasts were superb and the nice touch of wine and cheese in the evening was something we looked forward to as a prelude to dining out. A fabulous way of meeting new people on the "white porch" in the evening sunshine. Our room was very clean, light with a great view of the monument. All in all a memorable stay at a wonderful B&B and a very speecial little seaside town. We felt as if we were part of a family after 5 nights, but in an "unsmothered" kind of way. The bonus is we got to see whales and took a bike ride thgrough the dunes. So, you should have no hesitation in booking into this inn. We intend to revisit as soon as we possibly can! We stayed at the White Porch Inn in June, 2012 for our honeymoon and had a wonderful stay there. The staff was very helpful and were willing to help with anything we needed (luggage, maps, reservations, etc.). Everything in the house is clean and updated and we felt at home the minute we stepped inside. Wine in the evening was nice to have while we talked with the other guests and breakfast each morning was outstanding. We will be coming back to the White Porch Inn very soon! Thank you for such a great experience.

Our stay at the White Porch Inn was a series of daily pleasures -- charming staff, spotless rooms, tasty breakfasts that rank far above the modest description in advertising materials, comfortable common areas and, of course, the ample sunny porch which, along with the kitchen, was perfect for conversations with a delightfully varied guest list. Matt and staff always seemed to have time for a friendly word while staying on top of even the smallest details that ensure comfort. We look forward to future visits.

Provincetown and the White Porch Inn provided a perfect kid free getaway. Matt the manager was gracious and personable, the perfect host. The staff was also great and friendly and the inn was elegantly appointed. Breakfast was also very filling and wonderfully prepared - it was like staying at your friend's fabulous vacation home. We were in the smallest room but it was still tastefully decorated with drawers under the platform bed for storage. The only downside .was the toilet paper was one ply. Still, a great place to stay! Highly recommended!

My wife and I stayed at the White Inn for 2 nights. Everything about our stay was fantastic! The room was bright, clean, well decorated, and very comfortable. I think we were told that the inn was renovated 6 years ago, but I would have guessed it was done within the last 6 months. The whole place was that beautiful and well maintained. Service was great. Always smiling and attentive. Matt and the team made us feel welcomed from the minute we walked in the door. We traveled with another couple who also stayed at the White Porch and they have made similar comments to those I have posted here. We are already discussing a return trip this fall.

This was our first stay at the White Porch Inn. The location is fabulous.. half a block off Commercial St. So easy, breezy to walk around town, which is what we like to do. The house is beautiful and the rooms are nice. The key highlight that makes this place memorable is Matt and his staff. Matt is great, friendly and knowledgeable about all items in Provincetown and in the area. It was wonderful to sit and chat with other visitors in the early evening when Matt put out wine and tasty treats. If it was warmer, we would have taken advantage of the beautiful porch that wrap around the house. We will be back!

My wife and I spent a weekend at the White Porch Inn and were very pleased with the stay. The home and grounds are well kept and the stay/mgmt were there to make our stay enjoyable. Our room, though abit small, was clean, well appointed and comfortable. It even had a gas fireplace, but it was warm enough that we didn't get to use it. Breakfast was continental style. We had a selection of yogurts, fruits, breads & bagels, coffee cake, and breakfast casserole. In the evening there was a wine and snacks. Coffee and tea seem to be available all day. The White Porch in is located in the Gallery district of Provinceton. Just off a side street. This is the more relaxing and quiet area. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again when back in Provincetown.

I needed a relaxing getaway, and chose the White Porch Inn. It was everything I was looking for and more. From the moment I arrived, the Innkeeper made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Throughout my stay, the staff were personable, attentive, and caring. Their charm and sense of humor created an atmosphere of hominess and comfort, and they were genuinely interested in guiding me to find activities and out-of-the-way spots of beauty. The Inn is well- situated--just up the street form Commercial Street; yet quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of P-town. My room was bright and airy, and a slice of the sea was visible from one of my windows. The Inn is decorated in a stylishly simple, yet warm fashion; and spotlessly clean. I loved the kitchen, with its cozy breakfast nook. This was a great spot to mix and mingle with other guests and the staff. A delicious, creative breakfast was served every morning--many choices: hot and cold. Wine and hors d'oeuvres were served each afternoon at 5pm, and coffee or tea were available all day. A porch should never be an afterthought, and the White Porch Inn's porch is a plus. There is shade and sun, a view of the sparkling bay, and rocking chairs to sit, read and relax in while the world goes by. I spent alot of time there. It was a little slice of heaven. My 9 days'- stay wasn't long enough for me. I am already planning a return visit--highly recommended if you are looking for a warm, friendly atmosphere, excellent care, and the flavor of a beautiful seaside town. White Porch Inn is a very special place!! jackie

We felt welcome in the whole house from the very first moment. The staff is very nice and always makes sure you are enjoying your stay: friendly, forthcoming, willing to help, always ready to give advice. Breakfast is outstanding, the room was very clean, if it's raining you can just grab one of the large umbrellas or stay inside choosing from a collection of DVDs or board games and make some tea or coffee (always water etc provided, plus they have a wine hour with some little snacks every day at 5pm). Only 5 minutes walk to the Commercial Street where the Pier is, and couple of minutes to smaller grocery stores. The little things were great, such as they are providing complementary water bottles at arrival in your room and special face towels. If I have to mention something I didn't like, it is only this: We stayed in Wood End and the refrigerator is in a little closet which gets very warm and the space for your stuff is not that big (sorry, "only" 3 stars for the room). But other than that, it was just great! Matt and the whole staff are amazing and got from the beginning that we kind of want to do our own thing rather than talking a lot. Other guests had long conversations and we felt that everybody else enjoyed there stay as well. We got the recommendation from friends and can recommend it ourselves.

We were looking for a nice spot for a late spring mini-vacation in Provincetown, and we picked the White Porch Inn based on consistently good reviews. The reviews were true. The decor is lovely, the rooms are very comfortable, and it offers both the community feel of a B&B but also plenty of privacy. The breakfasts were great with something different and delicious every day. The location can't be beat, and Matt does a great job of making all guests feel welcome and comfortable. We'll definitely return.

During our recent stay in the Boston area, we decided to spend a couple of days on Cape Cod. We chose The White Porch Inn in Ptown and it was the smartest decision we made. Our host Matt was exceptional. He was friendly, knowledgeable about the area and recommended an outstanding restaurant (the Lobster Pot) for dinner. The entire Inn was immaculate inside and out. The room (Race Point Light) was exactly what was promised on the website. The bed was very comfortable and the Jacuzzi was what we needed after a day of whale watching and walking on the beach. Breakfast both mornings was outstanding. The fruit was fresh and flavorful, the pastries yummy and the hot breakfast (Day one - eggs/ham/potatoes and Day two - fluffy waffles with fresh blueberries) were quite tasty! The next time we come to Ptown we will definitely stay at The White Porch Inn.

After travelling around and checking in with Matt, nothing I have ever experienced in my travels accross the globe compare. Warm, kind eyes and always willing to offer suggestions on where to go, dinning and some fun even in the offseason. Breakfast always yummy and plentiful and wine time, well there really isn't any other better time of day : ) What an amazing touch THANK YOU, THANK YOU and THANK YOU

If looking for faultless elegance and the best of B&Bs then stay here. From the greeting from your host Matthew to the final farewell there is nothing to fault about staying at the White Porch Inn. We stayed in the Long Point bedroom and it was charm personified. It is a jewel of a room, small but beautifully appointed that was easy for 2 people to make use of. Breakfast was really an entertainment, the food was lovely and the company was great, the breakfast room again was charming and nothing was rushed; you were constantly made to feel at home. But the real asset of this lovely inn is Matthew. His is a lively, funny, irreverent and intelligent. He is a great source of local knowledge and his recommendations can be followed with confidence. The owners really lucked in when they appointed Matthew. In summary, an incomparable B&B that is made beyond special by the attention of the host Matthew. Stay here! John Marr, Barton UK

My partner and I had an amazing experience at White Porch Inn The room was clean, quaint and relaxing. Doors to vacant rooms remain open so you can peak in, which was fun! The hospitality was really what sold us, with wine/ snack hour every day at 5pm, tea around the clock and amazing breakfasts every morning. The atmosphere was more welcoming than any other P-Town Inn we have stayed at. We hung out in the common areas a lot because of the nice music that was always playing, the comfy couches and great art hanging on the walls. Also, White Porch Inn is in a great location and we were able to get everywhere we needed without getting in the car at all. We cant wait to go back and strongly recommend it for others!

We arrived at the White Porch Inn on a cold and rainy Thursday afternoon, but the small gas fire in our room was warm and cheerful. So was Matt, our host, who manages to be the perfect innkeeper--friendly and helpful, discreet and non-intrusive. The room was immaculate. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub, and the excellent breakfast, cooked by Matt and served in a lovely sunny dining room the next morning. The White Porch Inn provided the perfect off season weekend getaway and we look forward to our next visit.

The service provided by Leslie was amazing and we felt so welcome. Breakfast was always delicious and the cocktail hour each night was a wonderful way to connect with other guests and Leslie as well. Our room was immaculate!! And the fireplace was such a nice touch for the off-season! They have really put a lot of effort in every detail of the inn. I was at the White Porch Inn few days in January 2012. I have seen many places before but this one amazed me in every ways. From the second I set foot inside, I was being well taking care of. The place is clean, comfortable, the decoration of this entire Inn is great. The room was cozy, had a fireplace and bathtub, very clean and felt like home. The manager on site Matt and his helper Boyan, were very nice and cooked very great things for breakfast. The Inn is located right in the center of town, close to good restaurants and bars. I recommand strongly this Inn to anyone, should be rated 5 stars !!!!!

My girlfriend and I recently returned from a 4 night stay at the White Porch Inn. This was our second time staying there and as usual it was an amazing trip all around. First and foremost are the rooms and the building itself, which are absolutely beautiful. Every room is cozy and has a distinct feel to it which separates it from the rest (as well as a flat screen TV + fireplace). On our first trip in December 2010 we stayed in the Wood End Light room which has rooftop views that are gorgeous in the winter. This year (2011) we stayed in the Long Point Light room which was stunning. It has cathedral ceilings, a beautiful stand-up shower, and an amazing view of the bay. Every square inch of this B+B is elegantly (but not over-done) decorated and has a relaxing feel to it. None of this would matter however if it weren't for the most wonderful innkeeper, Matt. I cannot express how remarkable this man is, attentive but not overbearing and also has a wonderful sense of humor. The meals he prepared for us every morning were spectacular as well as the wine and tasty treats he left out every evening. He also has a wealth of information on Provincetown and the surrounding areas which comes in handy during the off season (he rec a bunch of great restaurants, bars, shops, and even a secret bird sanctuary). When it comes down to it a B+B is only as good as its Innkeeper and so far I haven't met a single one better than Matt, my hat goes off to you sir! Finally the White Porch Inn is located just steps away from The Squealing Pig (a great bar with excellent food and Belgian beer), Crown Point Inn (fine dining at its best), Wire Puppy (coffee shop, try the eggnog latte), and a plethora of great shops. Provincetown is an amazing place in the winter. Exploring the frozen dunes and frigid beaches is truly something to behold. Bring a camera and soak up the atmosphere. We've never been to a friendlier place. See you in December 2012 Matt!! Jesse + Steph

We recently stayed at the White Porch Inn, and both my wife and I were delighted. The house itself is beautifully restored; the interior is done in impeccable good taste. The table settings were superb, as was breakfast. Most importantly, the manager, Matt, was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in every way. My wife forgot something in our room when we left. Matt restored it to us FEDEX express the next day. A great little B&B - we recommend it without hesitation.

The White Porch Inn, Matt (the inn keeper), and his staff were fantastic. It's like being at home and being catered to - all day long. They took care of everything! Great breakfast - wonderful food and company - and the house is so comfortable and cozy! The white porch inn and Matt will always hold a special place in our hearts - we got married in P-town and we will always think of it/them as a part of our celebration! We look forward to returning in May 2012!! Lesa and Yoli

This is my third stay at the White Porch and once again Matt and his staff provided stellar service. As always, we were greeted with a smile and were treated like family from the moment we walked in the door. The rooms are beautifully decorated, always clean and breakfast choices are always many. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing. Whether you are just passing through or staying in town for a while, I highly recommend the White Porch Inn.

This B&B by far exceeding any expectations that I had. The pictures really don't do it justice. The renovations and interior finishes are far superior to most B&B's that I have stayed. The host/innkeeper Matt is the host with the most! He was in touch prior to the stay and even a follow up after we left. He was very helpful providing information on the town and made sure we felt very welcome. Lesley who works at the house was a pleasure and again very welcoming! The rooms were fantastic with fireplace, flat screen tv, high end bedding. The rooms were incredibly cozy! We look forward to a future stay!

My husband and I stayed with our two teenage daughters for three nights at the end of October 2011 - although off season Provincetown is still a lovely, relaxing place to be and The White Porch Inn is the perfect place to stay. The rooms are stylish and well equipped (one of ours had a very welcome fire). Matt, who runs the place is a helpful and friendly yet unobtrusive host who goes out of his way to may your stay whatever you want it to be. He provided some excellent restaurant recommendations and organised nightly 'Wine At 5' which was fun. He also cooks up a great breakfast in laid back surroundings. The night after we left the place was fully booked for Halloween weekend but when they have free rooms they leave them open so guests can have a good look round. The room on the top floor is spacious with a lovely balcony. Would definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely loved the White Porch Inn. Stayed there the weekend before my birthday and couldn't have asked for a nicer place to spend our time. Location is great, just a few steps away from Commercial Street. Still nice and quiet though. Matt is a great host, recommended some trails for us for Saturday when we mentioned hiking, and also recommended a great dinner spot for Saturday night (Napi's - check it out if you are in the area) Breakfast was delicious, nice and laid back. The rooms and the whole inn are super pretty and decorated in a very nice way. Would definitely stay here again.

We were also give an upgrade due to a neighbor cutting a tree down and would be making plenty of noise while we were around. Very generous!! I will be back, I will be staying in all the rooms! In the morning both Matt and Lesley me us with a big smile and a made to order breakfast!!!!! We didn't want to leave the dining room or kitchen... We had the most wonderful experience at The "White Porch Inn". Thank You, Janie & Joe Brookline, Mass.

The White Porch Inn is a perfect paradise. If you want a worry-free visit with no hassles, this is the place. Matt took care of everything and thought of everything before we even had to ask. His recommendations were spot-on and he truly wanted us to have a good time. We did! We hope to return soon.

We loved the White Porch and we loved Matt and Lesley. We were more than cared and accommodated for.

We arrived a bit early for our reservation, however Matt was most hospitable, and locked away our luggage while we walked about to get lunch and see the town. And sure to his word, when we arrived back, retrieved our room key, he had placed our bags in the room. And off we were for a great stay in a very lovely accommodation. All of the staff were top notch and the French Toast was to die for....in fact all of our breakfasts were wonderful. Thank you White Porch Inn, Matt and Lesley!

This bed and breakfast stands out for its style, hospitality, and comfort. The host, Matt, went above and beyond to make our stay convenient and enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious, the bed comfortable, the location ideal. Next time we are in Provincetown we will definitely stay here again.

I just completed a two-night stay at the White Porch Inn and loved it! The house was completely remodeled with a lot of taste and is kept very clean (the pictures are faithful). The manager was extremely warm, welcoming, accommodating and an excellent cook. Ask for the ham & cheese omelet at breakfast. Moreover, the wine happy hour was a great surprise and opportunity to socialize with the other guests. The parking was a little tight but it seems to be the norm in Provincetown, so make sure you reserve a parking spot.

I wish the rooms had been a little bit larger. In the cooler weather, there are more clothes to bring and between the luggage and the laptops, the room at time felt claustrophobic. Matt & Leslie were wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. The breakfast and coffee each morning was a special treat. I would recommend this place to a friend. It was so close to Commercial Street and the bay (for a quick dip, in case you didn't want to drive to the ocean).

I stayed for 4 nights and would stay here again. Hosts Matt and Lesley were very attentive to detail and were helpful to recommend places to eat and visit. The inn itself was clean and recently remodeled. A great B&B experience!

Our stay was wonderful from the moment we walked in. Matt is FANTASTIC and made us feel like we were old friends. He made sure that we knew where we were going and offered great suggestions. The breakfast was amazing and the mornings were enjoyable with the other guests...many of them that were repeat visitors. This inn is head and shoulders above any other place in town. I only hope we have another reason to go back!

Ann and I recently stayed for a couple of nights and would highly recommend this B & B to anyone - Matt ws probably one of the best hosts we have met (and we travel a lot). He went out of his way to make us feel at home and the breakfasts and evening wine and cheese were excellent. Overall a great experience.

My husband and I reserved a room for two nights but ended up staying an extra night because we just didn't want to go home. The Inn is beautiful, staff is "amazing", and breakfast delicious. It is centrally located and you can walk to everything. A must place to stay when in Provincetown.

Having been to Provincetown in the past and staying over the past 10-years, I highly recommend the White Porch Inn. Recently married, we decided to take a mini honeymoon to P-Town. We stayed in the 1st floor of the carriage house "Chatham Light". Seeing that the house was partially empty, Matt offered to give us an upgrade in the main house at no additional charge, however we liked the privacy of the Carriage house and stayed there. Clearly the Inn has been updated recently, and everything was in top notch order. The weekend before Columbus Day is a slow season, so most of the shops and restaurants were gearing down for the season. We asked Matt, our host for a good restaurant and he was happy to oblige, he also pointed us to a nice nature hike that we never knew about. You can stay pretty much anyplace in P-town, as we have stayed in other guest houses, but this place seemed special, we were made to feel at home, we were welcomed with open arms and we truly had a great time meeting the other guests at breakfast and also at the 5:00 social hour. Comfortable beds, fluffy towels and a great atmosphere make this place a shining star. Thanks again to both Matt & Leslie for being personable and friendly, we both felt as we were staying with old friends at the White Porch Inn. We'll be back next season, this place is definitely worth 5 stars! Rick & Bill

Room was small but was last one available for our trip time period. Need to book ealier next time. Staff is great and very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Central air is tricky as room temp changes drastically from hot to cold. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed at the White Porch Inn for one night during a longer Cape trip with family. It is beautifully decorated and the hosts, Tom and Matt, could not have been nicer. Our room was small but comfortable and spotless - I was impressed by the cleanliness. As someone who gets stressed out by kitchy B&B decor, I loved the decor here - everything was very stylish and calming. Matt even overheard me talking to my husband about one of the design elements and, since he could tell I was interested in design, he showed me a photo album of the "before" pictures from before they renovated the building. That is the kind of great personal touch that really makes me feel welcome and makes me want to go back. Plus the location can't be beat - just off Commercial Street but still plenty quiet. Definitely hope to stay at the White Porch Inn again next time we are in P-town!

My partner and I stayed at the Inn for four days in August. It was a wonderful time. The Inn is immaculate and peaceful. The food each morning was to die for. The staff were always very pleasant and professional. We got married during our time in P Town and the staff at the Inn went out of their way to make it a special day for us. I would recommend the Inn for anyone and will definitely stay there again.

The White Porch Inn has all the charm of a New England B&B in addition to all of the conviences of higher priced hotels. The staff is very friendly and make you feel like they're welcoming you back home, even if it's your first visit. The level of cleanliness is outstanding and the bed is very comfortable. If youre a light breakfast eater (like I am) you can pick from an attractive and tasty variety of breakfast foods such as yogurt, fesh fruit, cereal, etc. or if you like a heartier start to your day, there's a choice of eggs, waffles, sausages and other yummy delights. When you're relaxing on the porch, you feel like you've been gently placed into a serene little piece of the world where troubles and worries don't dare to intrude. When you're ready for a little shopping, dining or night life, you only have to stroll two short blocks and you are magically transported to one of the most fun and interesting places in the northeast. You really need to experience it for yourself.

Having never stayed at a B&B, yet certain I wanted to visit Ptown, MA - I was initially leery about my stay - but, The White Porch Inn was fantastic and exceeded all possible expectations - especially the staff which made my stay that much more pleasant. The house itself is beautiful and looks exactly like the online photos, the rooms are clean and sizable, breakfast is also good and includes a variety of choices. I will definitely return to the White Porch Inn the next time I wish to hang out in Ptown for a getaway...

The worst part about the White Porch Inn is waking up on the last morning of your vacation and realizing that you have to leave. We loved the privacy of our room, the delicious breakfast, relaxing evenings of wine and cheese on the porch and the friends we made during our stay. I would recomment the White Porch Inn to anyone looking for an intimate, inviting place to stay in P-town.
5 on August 09, 2011
From the moment we got there until our departure, the staff at the White Porch Inn was exceptional! The house is beautifully decorated, the rooms more than ample. Breakfast was grand, when it was made by either Leslie or Matt! Tom and Matt (owner and manager) are so warm and friendly....nothing is a big deal! We will definitely be returning next summer....

We have been going to P'town for years, and four years ago made reservations at the White Porch Inn. We keep coming back for more. The Inn is meticulously clean and each room is unique. We have stayed in four different rooms over the years as we make plans on short notice. Matt is wonderful. He makes you feel special - as though you are the only guests at the Inn. Whatever you need, he makes it happen. The evening "wine on the porch" is a great way to mingle with the other guests, or have some quiet time before dinner. The breakfasts are great as well. Comfy, meticulous, delicious...perfect!

My partner and I returned to Provincetown to celebrate his birthday and stayed at the White Porch for the first time. We could not have been more pleased. Matt and his team including Lesley and Matthew could not have been more attentive to detail during the trip including personal interaction, accomodations and dining. We felt we were in the home of friends as opposed to a commercial B&B. We have both traveled internationally and domestically and have visited Provincetown many times. The White Porch has now become our home away from home when we return to P-town.

We had a fabulous four-night stay at WPI last week (July 9th - 12th during Bear Week). The house is really casual chic...photos don't do it justice. There are so many spots to hang out or have a drink with fellow housemates: from the namesake porch to the comfy leather chesterfield sofas in the living room to the bright open kitchen where charming Innkeeper Matt works wonders with breakfast in the morning. The location just off Commercial Street was ideal, so close to everything yet removed just enough. Our room (Nauset Light) was cozy and quiet at the back of the house. Everything was immaculate and well thought out. The captain's bed (with built-in storage) was comfortable with crisp sheets and soft quilt. Our time at WPI was like staying at a friend's summer cottage. Matt is a gracious Innkeeper with a great sense of humor. Our hats are off to him and his amazing staff. We can't wait for our next visit! Arnie & Lee, NYC

I so enjoyed the hospitality at the White Porch Inn. Everyone there was so friendly and the staff was helpful and very entertaining! I felt so at home and would gladly return. The rooms are beautifully appointed and renovated. Breakfast was delicious and great after an early morning run thru town. Would love to stay in the new room with the rooftop deck...next time! Jill

We chose the WPI for it's small luxurious feel. The Innkeeper, Matt was extremely accomodating during a very busy period. I can only describe the stay as being like staying with a friend who is an interior designer and a great breakfast cook. Elegant, comfortable and of course the porch is fantastic. High ceilings and beadboard detail really make this an outstanding choice. And the location couldn't be better. As in all older buildings in the area, the a/c is central and you cannot control it indivually. The sea breezes where fantastic though. I would bring earplugs next time for the birds chirping. Who can blame them? Definitely going back.

This place rocks!!! The home is immaculate and the guys that run it are great. Matt is very knowledgeable on the area and what to do and where to go, Mathew is a great cook! I would recommend staying here to anyone that was looking into a B&B or just a great place to stay at a reasonable price. I will be back for sure!

From the moment we arrived, Matt made us feel like we were family. The stay was more like a home away from home than just a B&B. The breakfasts were delicious and we were happy with all the healthy choices as well as the very yummy ones. Great locations within easy walking distance to town. I would recommend this gem in an instant and hope to be so lucky as to visit it again. Carol & Shawn

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the White Porch Inn, from the moment we arrived and met our host Matt who was waiting on the front porch until our last breakfast treat our stay was more then enjoyable. After helping us unload and carrying our bags to the room Matt filled us in about P-town its people, beaches, restaurants, whale watching tours and our various places to visit during our stay. He was more then accommodating in making reservations at area restaurants that he thought we would enjoy. Our room was beautifully decorated and very clean. Each morning we had wonderful breakfast in the main dining area with an eclectic group of visitors staying at the white porch. If you get a chance visit the Beach Forrest area and enjoy the nature trails, Matt was very familar with the rules against feeding the birds and filled us in on same. He is an asset to the White Porch Inn and the community of P-town. Looking forward to when we can visit again.

We stayed at the White Porch Inn while scouting locations for our wedding (a very small event with only a handful of friends and family). We had such a wonderful stay and the location was so beautiful that we asked if we could hold the cermony there! I travel a great deal and very rarely stay somewhere that does such a great job from every angle. The food is delicious. The rooms are extremely clean and inviting. The common areas are impeccably decorated and comfortable.

Me and my girlfriend can just recommend to stay at this B&B! Even in cold March this was a very comfortable and nice stay. Pretty friendly Innkeeper who makes delicious breakfast and gives best advices for the daytrips and dinner. Everything is tidy and clean, our room was very cosy. Could be a little bigger, but that didn't change our general impression!

The White Porch Inn was a great choice for a quick trip to Ptown. The inn is beautifully decorated (the pictures on the website are accurate) and spotlessly clean. The innkeeper, Matt, is fabulous. He was extremely helpful with reservations, recommendations, and good conversation. The evening wine and cheese spread was lovely and breakfast (courtesy of Miro) was wonderful. The location can't be beat, just off Commercial.

We recently stayed two nights at the White Porch Inn, Provincetown MA. Every aspect of our stay was terrific. Both the rooms and communal areas are beautifully appointed and finished to a high-quality. The decor is both tasteful and attractive. Matt, the innkeeper, is extremely charming and knowledgeable. (And makes a fabulous breakfast!) The location is ideal - easy to find and close to the restaurants and shops of Provincetown. We would certainly recommend White Porch Inn to anyone looking to spend time on the Cape. We will be back in the not-too-distant future!

Our host was very friendly and helpful. The Inn was spotless, charming, and inviting. In the common area there was a picture book that took you through the "journey" of the renovation project of the Inn. Little decorations like this made you feel more welcome in the Inn in general. The location of the Inn is great, with many fun restaurants and shops nearby on Commercial Street. In the morning, there was an amazing breakfast spread. We were sad to leave. Hope to return sometimes soon.

White Porch Inn is serious about providing wonderfully clean, comfortable lodging and outstanding service. There are plenty of B and B's in Ptown, but this one really gets it. Matt, the Innkeeper, is a real pro and fantastic at making guests feel at home, and anticipating their needs. Breakfast was great every day, with lots of choices. The rooms are impeccably clean; my only criticism is the lack of end table or nightstand to set things down. The sheets and towels are top quality, as one would expect for this price range. I have stayed in many other Inns in Ptown and it is surprising how lacking some are in details for what they charge. This is not the case at White Porch - there has been great thought put into this business and it shows from small details to service. Highly recommended!!

From the moment we arrived, Matt and staff were welcoming, attentive, and accommodating. Our room was well-appointed and clean, making good use of space. The en-suite bathroom similarly provided all the needed amenities (including a heated floor, a much appreciated detail). Matt prepared wonderful breakfasts for us (with ample delicious coffee) and provided spot-on recommendations for dining in town. The Inn is convenient to Commercial Street shopping and restaurants and we appreciated its proximity to east end art galleries. Over the years, we've stayed at a number of Ptown guest houses and find that the White Porch Inn provides the right balance of professional service and friendly comfort. We look forward to staying again at the White Porch Inn.

My partner and I go to P-town quite a bit, and we were very pleasantly surprised to discover the White Porch Inn after "our" usual inn was closed for the holidays. The rooms are super clean and simply decorated with wonderful, soothing colors and clean lines. The inn itself is warm and welcoming, and Matt was present and helpful w/o being too present. And his breakfasts were delicious! We'll definitely go back, and the White Porch Inn may very well become "our" New inn.

It was one of my best Provincetown experiences. The White Porch Inn provided an outstanding level of service with a personal touch. Staying off season is the perfect way to experience the high quality accommodations at a reduced price. The rooms are comfortable and understated. Matt is a terrific host and takes special care in meeting the needs of the guests. The White Porch Inn is highly recommended.

I stayed at the White Porch Inn last weekend for 3 days and loved my get-a-way. My room was pretty small but they had told me that and gave me the option to change rooms - I did not. I liked being a tad separated from the main house but still enjoyed being able to chat and have breakfast with the other guests. The wine and cheese hour was perfect - who does that? I met some great people staying and then could slip back to my room when I needed. Plenty to choose from for a continental breakfast and easy walk into town. Matt and the housemen were great hosts. Thank you!!! LG

We had the smallest room in the Inn. I knew going into it that it was small but it was actually smaller than a cruise ship cabin. I smashed my knee on the corner of the bed as I entered the room so that wasn't a great way to begin my stay. The Waffles at breakfast were excellent but I would have preferred a bit more variety of choices and a tray to bring coffee back to the room would have been nice. Parking is very tight and you have to give up your keys when you check in which is not something I ever do. The Inn was very nice but staying in the outbuilding makes you feel a bit disconnected from the experience. It was an ok value but I would never stay in such tight quarters again.

We stayed for two days in Oct at the White Porch and had a wonderful experience. Matt was an outstanding host and very accomodating to assure we had a great visit. The Long point room was bright, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our privacy, and also mingling with other guests in the beautiful kitchen, living room and dining room. The decor was very eye appealing and comfortable and new. I highly recommend staying at the Inn and we look forward to our next visit in the spring and summer.

Matt, is the manager of The White Porch Inn. He was beyond friendly, and made THE BEST pancakes I've ever eaten! The Inn was super charming, clean, and well-decorated. We arrived there after spending 4 days in a huge suite in downtown Boston, so the room seemed pretty small, in comparison, but is probably typical of most Bed and Breakfast room sizes. Upon arrival, there were two bottles of water in the mini fridge, which were much appreciated, because I drink water like it's going out of style. My favorite part of our room was the phenomenal jacuzzi tub! I have a bad back and neck, so I immensely enjoyed coming home to this amenity each night, after wandering all over Provincetown all day. My girlfriend and I have already decided we need to make a trip to P-town annually, and we will more than likely stay here again!

When I found the white Porch Inn online, I knew I'd found a gem among the B&B's in Provincetown but it's website couldn't begin to truly capture it's charm. It's close to the main shopping/dining area of Commercial street, has private baths and an environment which is warm without having the appearance of being old and dingy. The decor was clean and modern with a plethora of Victorian charm, there was parking on site and the most adorably inviting porch I've ever had the pleasure to sit on. I stayed in the Chatham Light room which offered a private entrance. Each morning the staff provided a breakfast beyond any continental offering I've ever had. It included staples of bagels, cheese, boiled eggs, fruit, cereal, etc but we were also treated with a surprise addition each day. One morning it was breakfast casserole and crispy bacon the next. Coffee is available at all times, which pleased my caffeine guzzling travel companion and there's even a wonderful wine hour every night. We also received a discount card for select restaurants in the area. The staff is incredible here. They made us feel as if we were welcome guests in their own home, willing to answer any question and help with any need. I do have two small complaints. One being the small bathroom; we had minimal counter space and the shower was tiny enough to make even a 5'1 girl like me a little claustrophobic. However, considering the incredible price we got for this room, I can't complain. Also slightly bothersome were the thin walls in the carriage house (I can't speak for the main house) which allowed me to hear conversations, footsteps and running water in the other two rooms in the building. However, we never spent enough time in our room to make this an issue and it wouldn't stop us from staying at this charming inn every time we revisit P-town. I can't save up my vacation days fast enough!

The room, at almost $300 a night, was TINY and the bed was so UNCOMFORTABLE and hard that my partner and I awoke several times throughout the night. Nothing about this place was welcoming - rarely saw the innkeeper at all. Even checkin and breakfast (which was just OK) were handled by the maintenance staff. While I give props to this inn for its cleanliness and location, everything else was below average - especially for its price. Trust me when I say STAY ELSEWHERE.

We found the White Porch Inn via another inn that is part of the Distinctive Inn Group (that had been recommended to us). We are thrilled we ended up there. Looking on line it seemed exactly what we wanted... "W" Hotel style, but quaint and personal. We did not want a doily/antiquey inn for this short weekend getaway! The photos proved up to date and the inn was beautifully decorated, taken care of and clean. The bedrooms are smaller than we expected, but still comfortable. We didn't spend too much time in it, anyway. The common areas, especially the porch (with water view), are very inviting. The location is great - very central, but it was not too noisy, especially being so close to Commercial St. We would love to return to Ptown and would definitely stay at the White Porch Inn again & again!

We were thrilled on arrival to see a wonderful living and dining space reminding us of home. The bedroom was elegant and fresh. Expansive light filled our room all day long. We will be back!! The Matts took great care of us

From the welcoming owner, the General Manager extraordinaire and well trained house staff, thw White Porch Inn team truly understands and exemplifies superb guest service. The house is beautifully appointed and impeccably maintained with all comforts anticipated from the well designed guest room and bathroom, luxurious bed and linens, central air conditioning and delicious breakfast. They also are well informed on the Ptown dining scene. White Porch Inn is situated on a quiet street with views of the ocean and only steps from the heart of the hustle and bustle of Commercial Street. This is a gem!

We had an awesome visit to P-town and will definitely stay at the White Porch Inn again. The owner, the manager and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The common areas were very clean and comfortable. The rooms are on the smaller size - cozy and spotless. Cocktail hour on the porch was great. Nice way to meet people and socialize before dinner. Absolutely worth giving this Inn a try.

We stayed at numerous Bed and Breakfast in Provincetown and this by far is the best. The house is recently redone with all the amenties of a new home but with keeping the charm of Provincetown throughout the house. The staff is amazing especially the inn keeper who was extremely helfpful and nice. The location is perfect and would not change one thing about the Bed and Breakfast.

My partner and I recently stayed at the White Porch Inn in Provincetown for a week. We loved the place! The house is BEAUTIFUL, VERY tastefully done, all new and fresh, and in a perfect “walk to everything” location. We loved sitting and chatting with other guests on the front porch. Our room (Nausett) was bright and airy, beautifully decorated with a corner fireplace, nice bathroom with deep tub and rain shower, and great air conditioning. House keeping was responsive and did a nice job. Our host Matt was friendly, pleasant, cooks and serves a great breakfast (in a beautiful designer kitchen), and is great to look at to boot! Woof! It was a wonderful week, in a great town, staying at a great place, and we plan to return!

From the very first greeting by the excellent staff we were enthralled by this lovely inn. An exquisitly decorated house with clean, modern, comfortable rooms. The staff made us feel very welcome and as if we were personal guests to them rather than paying guests at an inn. At the same time we enjoyed complete privacy. Very centrally located in Provincetown without the possible noise from commercial street. We absolutely loved this inn and we will definitely stay here on our next visit.

I haven't been back to P-town in about 10 years and was really impressed with the quality and beauty of the White Porch Inn. You feel like you are in an old whaling community -- but with a hip edge. The attention to detail is striking -- and sense of community intoxicating. This is a "must see and stay" B&B. Give yourself a treat and enjoy an elegant and enticing "new home."

I had an excellent stay at the White Porch Inn in early November. The rooms were so clean it looked as if we were the first people to ever stay there. Tom was a fantastic host and the breakfast was excellent. You won't find a better place to stay in P-town!

The White Porch Inn combines wonderful ambiance with an amazing amount of privacy to create a perfect week-end away from home. We loved cocktail hour with our host, his suggestions for places to go and things to do, the other guests, and our delicious breakfast. We'll be back!

The White Porch Inn is luxurious with just the right touches for feeling right at home. The innkeepers are gracious hosts with a wealth of local lore and knowledge that helped make our stay historically interesting as well as restful. Stay here. You'll be back.

We visited P'town for a HS reunion of sorts, and gathered at the White Porch Inn. Tom and Rogario were the perfect host and chef. We were able to laugh and play, as well as quietly enjoy the sights and sounds of the Cape. Learning that Plymouth was not the first landing place for the Pilgrims was just an added bonus. Great rooms, great access to the middle of town, and wonderful restaurants and dancing rounded out a wonderful wekend.

When I booked at the White Porch Inn this autumn (2009), I thought I had a good idea of what to expect - the Inn's website is thorough and well illustrated. I was surprised, however, by two things: the high level of service and genuine warmth provided by the innkeepers, and the incredible cleanliness. I had never been to Provincetown before, and Thomas "Tom" Shirk recommended right-on-the-money options for restaurants and shopping. This is not to say the food provided by the Inn isn't wonderful. The Inn staff served an outstanding breakfast. The Inn's room and common areas are kept spotless. My room, in fact, appeared to have been newly renovated. Furthermore, the Inn is in a great spot - overlooks the water and lies within walking distance of everything you'd want to see in P-town. Would highly recommend White Porch Inn.

We had a great time at the White Porch- the entire staff went out of their way to make the stay comfortable and effortless. The Inn itself is beautiful and well-appointed. All the charms of an old home with all of modern amenities - including central a/c. We thought it was excellent from the easy online reservation to parking to checkout. It's on the higher price end, so I wouldn't rank it as exceptional value, but it wasn't overpriced either and it certainly did not disappoint and we will stay there again!

Exquisite attention to detail -- impeccably clean. To die for locations -- half a block from bay view, galleries, shops, restaurants. Scrumptious breakfast with home-cooked omelettes and baked items. Gracious and friendly hosts.
4.6 on August 17, 2009
The host and staff were welcoming, gracious and expert at creating a casual, relaxing ambience for guests. Although the guest house is small, what really impressed us was the ability to be as social or as private as one wished. The location is quiet and 1/2 block from the main street; the rooms are spotless and reminiscent of Celebrity or SeaDream yacht cabins. Breakfast was always fresh, generous and cheery. Highly recommended.

This was my 5th trip to P-Town, but the first time I stayed at the White Porch Inn, and definitely not the last! I was so pleasantly surprised by the spacious room with cathedral style ceiling, an abundance of natural light, high quality furnishings, and the most comfortable bed besides my own. Overall, the Inn was stylish, warm, & enjoyable. The food was amazing. Prepared fresh every morning...blueberry pancakes, waffles, omelets...and in the evenings, wine and freshly baked goodies were always available...it was all fabulous. Thomas is a wonderful host...so attentive to every detail and a delight to talk to. No doubt about it, the White Porch Inn is a first class act all the way around. I can't wait to go back!

Entire inn is stylishly decorated in neutral tones. My room was small/snug but with beautiful decor, absolutely spotless, quiet and with a nice view. I would book this room again even though it is smaller than other rooms because it gave off a very warm cosy vibe. Thomas the innkeeper is a charming host and he puts on a good continental breakfast buffet. I would only suggest that he expand the hot breakfast - perhaps offer bacon or sausages along with the pancakes. The location is fantastic - a quiet side street right off the main street in P'town.

We just stayed at the White Porch Inn April 25th - 26th, 2009 and highly recommend staying there. While still in the off-season, but with beautiful warm weather, we were lucky to find 2 rooms available when we arrived in Provincetown. Although we were impressed by their Web site, Thomas was even more gracious in showing us the available rooms to make sure we were satisfied, and even offered to help us if we were looking for different types of accommodations. The decor was exquisite ("beach chic" to coin Thomas' phrase), and thankfully not Victorian. We stayed in the second floor front room, which had a jacuzzi tub and flat screen TV. The living areas on the first floor and spacious porch were all beautifully decorated and very inviting for lounging on a lazy Sunday morning. We very much appreciated Thomas' helpfulness with last minute dinner reservations and entertainment ideas, as well as allowing us to leave our car parked in one of their spots after checkout so we could continue roaming around town. Overall, the inn reflected the owners' character and personality - warm, inviting and very enjoyable.

We had an incredibly lovely time, while staying at The White Porch Inn. The Innkeeper's, Thomas and Tom are true gentlemen. Their staff, professional and friendly. The freshly baked breads and desserts, added a delicious quality to daily meals at the Inn. The late afternoon wine gatherings on the porch, provided us with an opportunity to mix with our fellow travelers. The Inn itself, is the best mix of old and new. It offers the traditional charm of the Cape, with all the amenities the modern traveler desires. A truly memorable experience. We cannot wait to return to the White Porch next Summer. Christopher J. My partner and myself had a wonderfull time at White Porch Inn in P'Town last August. The whole Inn is decorated with taste and gives the impression of being in a small luxury hotel ! An excellent continental breakfast with home cooked goodies is served with attention and care by owners Tom and Thomas. They also provide an excellent "concierge" service by recommending excellent places for lunch/dinner. This is really the place to stay when in P'Town ! Philippe & Rui

This past weekend my partner and I traveled to Ptown to celebrate her 40th birthday. We took a chance and stayed at the White Porch Inn. It was the best decision we could have made. They went out of their way to put special touches in our room to make my partner's birthday special. The Inn is beautiful and clean. The innkeepers are so friendly and welcoming. In fact they even sat on the porch with the guests, sipped wine, and chatted. Just delightful. It was steps away from Commercial Street. A prime location. We will definately stay again. It is worth the trip to Ptown for this wonderful B&B experience that embraces both the women's and men's communities.

You won't find more a more hospitable and comfortable atmosphere. Breakfast was casual but the food was excellent. Happy hour on the porch is lovely. We had the smallest room but it was impeccable and clean. They provided beach towels, umbrellas and sunscreen for our beach trips. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Rooms were lovely and they are really pristine. The made to order omelets were more than we expected at a B&B, as were the evening cocktails of wine. Very hospitable and gracious host.

My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful time staying at the White Porch Inn in Provincetown. The proprietors, Tom and Thomas, as well as the other staff were so friendly and accommodating, and they made us feel at home. They were very helpful in recommending places to eat and things to do and even joined us on the porch for some wine. The breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit as well as occasional made to order eggs and blueberry pancakes. The entire house was immaculate and very comfortable and relaxing. Though the B&B is located right in the center of all the action, the rooms remained very quiet. I would definitely recommend the White Porch Inn to anyone visiting Ptown and hope to get back there real soon. Thanks for a great vacation!

The Wite Porch Inn is beautiful. The Inn is perfectly located on a quiet street with a peaceful view of the waterjust steps fro the bustle of Commercial Street. The Inn is the perfect balance of casual sophistication and elegance. Tom and Thomas hav taken great pride in creating what has to be one of the finest places to stay in Provincetown. No detail has been overlooked. The energy and enthusiasnm of the staff and other guests as we gathered on the porch each afternoon made for a wonderful vacation on every level.

I visited Ptown for the first time over the July 4th weekend not knowing what to expect. In short, I fell in love with this seaside town and will be back! The ONLY place to stay is at the White Porch Inn! Tom & Thomas have created what the perfect B&B should be. The rooms are stunning, the atmosphere warm and welcoming and the hosts will win you over from day one! I didn't want to leave!

It was no different than any other "new" inn. They gutted the entire inside of the guesthouse...destroying woodwork that dated back into the 1800s; they opened the entire downstairs thereby destroying whatever intimacy the house had prior. What an "oxymoron" to provide air conditioning, flat pannel tvs, fireplaces in a town like Provncetown where the real beauty lies in walking about and enjoying the ocean, sand and the people. It's nice and expensive and suitable for middle-aged, gay men who have money to burn, and who hide themselves admist luxury; but, it is a sad indicator when such abodes inhibit anyone younger who does not have the bucks to burn. The owners were friendly and helpful and efficient which, when you admit to it, is both the antithesis and an anathema to the "Rasion d Etre" of a guesthouse.

I had high expectations from other visitors’ reviews and all of them were exceeded. The Inn is a lovely, cozy haven and our hosts were warm and welcoming. Their dinner recommendations were right on, too! We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

All previous reviews are true! The third host, Tom, was also in house, and the 3 of them went out of their way to make our stay perfectly delightful. We also enjoyed the international company from England, Germany, and Shanghai on the porch during cocktail hour. We saw 8 humpbacks on the whale watch, a glorious sunset at the beach, and the breakfasts by Martin were outstanding. Thomas picked us up and delivered us from and to the airport and the dock, so we didn't need a car to get anywhere, including nearby downtown shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The hosts are incredibly accommodating and friendly. The renovations were tastefully done and include high-end everything, while maintaining the old New England traditions.

Thomas, Tom, and Martin have created the most charming atmosphere of any B&B we have ever been to! The rooms are modern and clean with excellent decorating, the main house offers the comforts of home, while the company is like that of old friends. From evenings with glasses of wine with our hosts and other guests, to the ride to the airport, to assistance with dinner reservations and nights on the town, this has been the greatest vacation experience we have ever had. We will definitely be back next year to have a glass of wine with our favorite hosts!
5 on September 15, 2007
The service was above and beyond our expectations. The views were breathtaking! Thomas and Martin are engaging hosts, excellent cooks, and after seeing the design and decor, I wanted to hire Thomas to decorate my house. In addition, the architecture and construction paid close attention to the historic significance of the home as well as being visually appealing. Although the inn has no vacancy, while we were in our room, we were completely unaware that that there was anyone else at the inn. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!!!!

After years of staying at B&Bs in ptown with either tired rooms (or tired owners) it was so great to stay in a fresh, bright place with very congenial hosts - that mix of comfort and casual gracious treatment that you want on vacation ... and really enjoyed the east end location (quiet yet steps from everything).

We had a fantastic stay at the WPI, our room was a little bit small but so charming and beautifully decorated. Thomas and Martin made us feel welcome in this beautiful village of Provincetown. We needed a break from our active Montreal life and this was just perfect. When our 3 nights stay ended we felt like we had taken a week vacation. The weather was great, the dinning was great. Thomas recommended us a nice restaurant for our last evening that was just perfect. The restaurant is Jimmy's Hideway and we recommend anyone that goes to P-town to go have a dinner at this place. Thomas, Martin we thank you so much for making this experience exceptionnal and we truly hope to come back some day.

The convenient location near center of town, the owner and house boy very attentive to details and the newly rennovated rooms makes this vacation a pleasure!

The entire place is pretty much perfect. It's evident that a ton of care went into its recent creation. The decor is very modern and stylish, without making you feel like you need to get dressed up to have breakfast, and it's still warm and beachy, as it should be in ptown. Relaxing with a cup of coffee on the porch rockers was great, as was coming home at night to chocolates on our pillows and complimentary port. Thomas and Martin were lovely-- friendly, helpful and keep the place impeccably clean. We had a great time, and will most certainly be returning when the time avails.
5 on April 30, 2007
This is the perfect place for a weekend getaway! the rooms are clean and luxurious, and breakfast is much tastier than the average continental spread. Lovely breeze while sitting on the porch enjoying conversation and snacks. Martin, Tom and Thomas will make you feel right at home. Couldn't be happier with our stay!
5 on April 25, 2007
The service was top notch from booking the room, to checking out. Tom, and Thomas are great owners, and know how to make their guests stay a great one. Martin "The Haus Frau" was great in the kitchen. His muffins were some of the best we ever had. My wife, and I were pleased beyond words with The White Porch Inn. Great food, great room, great place to stay.

Outstanding! The owners of the White Porch Inn have brought 6 star hotel standards to P-Town. They clearly know what discerning travelers are looking for. Key details such as comfortable beds and sheets, environmentally friendly toiletries, private bath rooms for every room, easy to use romantic gas fireplaces in the room, sufficient storage, delicious breakfasts, flat screen TVs, great art work, and so much more. The staff is also the best we have ever experienced in a B&B!! The Inn is also centrally located, just minutes walk to most attractions. This place is a must for any visitor to P-Town.
5 on April 21, 2007
Inkeeper Thomas and his first-officer Martin are the consummate B&B hosts - full of genuine, easy charm, yet unusually attentive to their guests' every need. The newly renovated inn is warm, inviting, and elegantly appointed with both state-of-the-art amenities (such as flat-panel TV/DVD combos and sleek, reverse-cycle air-conditiong units) and old-world touches (such as gas fireplaces and traditional architectural elements); there's even a beautiful grand piano in the sitting room that we loved playing. And Martin's culinary delights at breakfast time, such as his moist apple strudel and his divine, fluffy pancakes, are simply not to be missed! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and have already made plans to return to this home away from home in Provincetown's central East End.

White Porch Inn sets a new standard for casual elegance in Ptown! From it´s quiet, yet convenient, location just off Commercial Street to the attentive and friendly hosts, the Inn was the ideal location for our week away! Rooms are light, comfortable and well appointed - fireplaces, down comforters, crisp, fine linens and thick, fluffy towels. Modern conveniences included wireless LAN, built in plasma TV/DVD, whirlpool tub and fresh ground coffee to order. It seems our hosts thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxed from the moment we arrived to the time we (regrettably!) departed. Heaven!

An amazing weekend at an amazing place. Every detail was taken into consideration, from a delicious breakfast each morning to umbrellas by the front door in case of rain. We had a wonderful time in spite of some stormy weather and even booked a return trip before we left. The owners are so friendly and attentive and the rooms are beautifully and functionally furnished. The location a block from commercial street near the center of town is perfect. I can't say enough about this place, definately would recommend it!
