White Porch Inn

My partner and I stayed there for one night while visiting Provincetown. It was a beautiful house and wished we had the time to stay longer. The staff was wonderful and tried to help us with dinner reservations for the night. We also enjoyed the breakfast in the morning! Would stay again!

I recently stayed at the White Porch Inn in Provincetown, the beauty of the spaces, cleanness of the rooms, friendly staff, inviting comfortable atmosphere and the great location on a quiet street few steps from most attractions,,, among more qualities, made of my stay a nice experience I highly recommend.

The staff was very nice and accommodating, provided excellent accommodations, served wine and cheese in the afternoon and offered a wonderful and intimate setting for our stay in Provincetown.

The inn is beautiful, with Victorian charm, along with modern convenience. Dale is an excellent host and makes you feel most welcome. We enjoyed breakfast and conversation with Shawn. The staff is well organized and very accommodating to guest's needs and is ready to recommend locations for sightseeing, food, and shopping. We will definitely be back.

Loved the porch for morning coffee and the afternoon wine and cheese. Fantastic location on quiet side street between Bradford & Commercial St, 2 minutes from Macmillan Wharf, restaurants and shops. Stayed in the Hatches Harbor. Private Balcony, watching sunset and sunrise. Close to Commercial Street but still quiet. Dale was a great host. Would highly recommend to friends.

The White Porch Inn is a lovely place to stay while visiting Provincetown. While the rooms are small (as they are in most places in town) they are clean, pleasant and offer the feel of being a guest in someone's beautiful home while not slipping into the "preciousness" one often feels in small accomodations. Afternoon wine and cheese offers a pleasant opportunity to meet other guests and gives one a reason to want to return in the early evening. Breakfast is delicious and included in the room cost.

I stayed here for 4 nights April 14 ~ 17 and enjoyed the whoe experience. I had the sunny room over the porch with views of the harbor AND the monument and loved it all. Dale and Tim and Sean prepared great breakfasts, and provided a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. It's close to the P'Town Library which is a destination by itself, as well as the East End restaurants and galleries.

Although the room and bathroom were much smaller than expected, the stay was very nice. Dale was a very warm host and made delicious pancakes. The entire house is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Would recommend to others and will stay there again on our next visit. I hope you enjoy as well!

My fiance and I stayed at The White Porch Inn over a holiday weekend, and it was breathtaking. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and so much fun to stay in. The innkeeper, Dale, does so much work without ever complaining and was extremely accommodating to anything we asked, from making a dinner reservation to one of the local restaurants to spending some time speaking with us and showing us the house. We looked forward to breakfast every morning - you really couldn’t beat it (it was delicious!) - and wine and snacks every afternoon. The house itself is beautiful and is designed so that every space makes your eye wander toward it. Also, we explored the town and this was by far one of the best locations. Overall, we had an amazing time and are, without a doubt, planning a return visit soon!

We stayed at the White Porch Inn for a weekend in January and we found it to be absolutely magnificent! The inn is tucked away on a side street in Provincetown and is within walking distance to pretty much everything. Dale was an amazing host, always there when he needed to be but out of sight when we wanted alone time. The entire inn and room (Race Point) were spotless and decorated exquisitely! Breakfasts were amazing as well! We will definitely return!!

This was my third year staying at the White Porch Inn and I have not been disappointed. The Inn is beautifully decorated and comfortable and the staff is always available to help. We chose to spend the New Year's weekend at the White Porch this year. The Inn was full and the guests were all very friendly. The wine and cheese hours were quite chatty events! As usual, the breakfast was plentiful with cereals, fruit, eggs, several kinds of bread and a hot dish every day, waffles, pancakes, etc. This is my second time at the Inn since Dale came on board as innkeeper and he has been wonderful. If you are looking for upscale, friendly accommodations in or off season, the White Porch Inn is highly recommended.

My partner and I stayed for New Year's Eve celebrations and were not disappointed. The rooms were immaculate, the evening wine soirees were great opportunities to meet other guests, and Dale could not do enough for everyone to make their stays comfortable. We will certainly return.

The White Porch Inn is a wonderful experience right in the heart of P-Town. A thirty second walk to Commercial Street and the ocean/beach! The rooms are beautiful and sparkle clean! The common areas are lovely and open to all- we sipped coffee by the fireplace, had breakfast in the beautiful kitchen/dining area and look forward to coming back in the warmer weather to experience the beatiful "White Porch" itself. Our hosts were AMAZING. Commercial Street was a little bit torn up to replace the sewage system, and not being too familiar with traffic patterns, I had to call when I arrived in Provincetown to find out the best way to get to the White Porch Inn (Johnson Street had a "Do Not Enter" sign up). Dale was very kind on the phone and told me to just drive up and park in the driveway. He was also very gracious while we were there. My partner had never been to PTown before, so he offered some tips on where to go, and directions on how to get there. The place was immaculate, and was just an outstanding experience. I'll definitely be staying there again, and will certainly recommend it to my friends.

This was my first time visiting Provincetown and I can't wait until I can return again and stay in the White Porch Inn once again. The entire property was immaculately kept, the breakfast was phenominal and the staff was wonderful.

Recently stayed at The White Porch Inn the weekend after Thanksgiving 2012. This was our first time to the Inn though we are regular P'town visitors. As we've experienced in the off-season previously, I expected the Inn to be in "slumber" mode with few rooms booked and a meager breakfast of muffins and cold cereal. What an amazing surprise to find the house was full of fun and interesting people and Dale's breakfasts were hot and delicious! The White Porch Inn is quintessentially characteristic of the American New England vernacular. It's atmosphere is spot-on to the vibe of a beachy getaway, regardless of season. The common rooms of the house are well appointed, spotless, welcoming and comfortable. When we first walked in, we felt as though we should have rung the doorbell - you feel as though you are truly walking into a home. This trip to P'town post-Thanksgiving was an anniversary present to my husband and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations and, especially, the romantic gas fireplace in our room. The room was well appointed and comfortable and perfect for a getaway weekend for two. The house has many unique rooms that can fit anyone's travel plans. If an Inn is only as good as its keeper, much credit for our wonderful stay goes to Dale! Dale was our one-man welcoming committee, concierge and cook. He was there when we had questions but not obtrusive in the least. His has been in P'town for many years and has great insight into things to do and see. Finally, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! We would have been happy to stay at The White Porch Inn wherever it was in P'town, but the location is hard to beat! A few steps from Commercial Street, a few minutes from the center of town and, from some rooms, a view of the harbor. Not hard to see why The White Porch Inn won the Best of Cape Cod 2012! We are already planning our next weekend jaunt and feel like we've found our second "home" in P'town.

One of the nicest B&Bs I have every stayed in. Friendly service, comfortsable, well appointed rooms. Will stay there again next time I visit Provincetown.

We stayed in Sept 2012. It is a great inn. Centrally located, great staff (Tom and Dale are awesome), nice wine social every evening... highly recommend it. Wireless worked the entire time, and the walls are well insulated (no hearing other guests, etc.

A great B& B at a great location. Easy walking distance to shopping, dinning and whale watching ships.

We will defintely start here again in future visits.

My wife and I just spent 3 wonderful nights at The White Porch Inn. Every inch, every corner was picture perfect! Visiting from Florida, we used the fireplace constantly and truly enjoyed the heated bathroom floor. Breakfast was cooked daily by Sean, who entertained us with hilarious stories of bartending while making gourmet omlettes and french toast. Location was superb and Tom is the nicest host one could imagine! We can't wait to go back!

The White Porch Inn is gorgeous. The community rooms are large and brightly lit by natural sunlight. There is lots of space for breakfast dining in a community atmosphere and the food was delicious! The chefs were kind and accomodating too. We loved our room with it's own fireplace and the extra soft comforter was appreciated on the cool nights! Thanks for a great stay!

Good - Property is in great shape and clean, location is less noisy than many in PTown, all the basics are there. Other - A bit rigid about rules. For example, we had the room with a roof deck but were not told until we checked in that you can't even walk out there between 10pm and 8a because the deck is over 2 other rooms. So much for paying extra to watch the sun rise.

Great location, just a short walk to center of town shops and restaurants. We stayed in the 3rd floor room that was A++...very unique (and well put together) and a roof top deck with awesome views of Provincetown. Enjoy!!

My bf and I spent 3 amazing days at this wonderful B&B. We treated ourselves to the "owners" rooftop suite, which is magical.The rooftop patio was the most romantic place ever and the perfect place to enjoy the sunsets. Breakfast was a delight with lots of fresh treats. Overall we loved the space, the attention to detail, the kindness of the staff and of course the perfect location. We will definitely be back next year !

This is the the most relaxing, comfortable and clean B&B we have ever visited. We have returned for seven visits over the last five years and we are never disappointed. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the other guests are so friendly (along with a wonderful staff who make us/them feel this way).

Everything about our second stay was as perfect as our first stay 4 years ago. The rooms are amazing, as is the breakfast food. The staff is really incredible! They make you feel like you are in your own home. Outstanding Inn!

Breakfast was a great time to meet other guests of the hotel yet i felt as though i had totally privacy while staying here. Beautiful B&B and we had a blast. The only issue was when breakfast was not served one morning. The management was very professional and apologetic and was very generous to offer a complimentary night's stay for the trouble. Great people and wonderful place.

Host Manager and staff were very welcoming and offered great dinner recommendations in the area. Property was immaculate and room was very comfortable. Well located... Quiet yet an easy walk to all the great things the area has to offer. Hope to return again next year after the 2013 PMC.

Our second stay at the WPI was great. Our room was perfect. The breakfast of the first day was outstanding but the second breakfast was too simple for the WPI. The welcoming spirit of the owner, the manager and Ivan was perfect. I can't wait for another stay.

My partner and I were here for Bear Week! Excellent In All Respects!

The White Porch Inn is the perfect combination of company and privacy. I had a late evening arrival and Matt wrote me a personal letter welcoming me to the inn. Breakfast was fresh and varied on the five mornings I was there. The location cannot be beat--barely two blocks to Commercial Street--but the street is definitely quiet at night and feels very cozy. I stayed in the Highland room and while it was on the smaller side it made great use of space and was perfect for one person or even for a couple. The whole house has been wonderfully renovated and is a great combination of old charm and modern luxury. This is one of the best guest houses to stay in while visiting Provincetown!

Booking at the White Porch Inn was a matter of grabbing a room in the only place that could accommodate my friend and I for the entire period of Bear Week, a very popular event for hairy men. Although the pictures looked nice, you can't always be certain that's what the place currently looks like. Upon arriving, my friend and I were pleased to find that the pictures were accurate, but didn't really convey the cosiness and tranquility of the rooms, public spaces or the inviting front porch. Each staff member was quick to introduce himself and make us feel welcome. The breakfast offerings started off somewhat modestly, but improved in variety as our stay unfolded. One of the real pleasures was meeting other guests for breakfast and enjoying prolonged conversations and many laughs with them. The same thing happened at cocktail time in the communal living room. As the week progessed, we enjoyed our stay more and more. The only drawback was the extra walking distance from the Inn to the center of town and many activities compared to other places we have stayed at that were closer the main clubs, restaurants and stores. This isn't a negative if you don't mind walking at all. We were pleased with our stay at the Inn overall!

I am not much of a joiner, so I really didn't meet many of the staff or other guests, but everyone was perfectly pleasant. My room was right at the top of the steps, so could be loud at times, but that was more due to other folks walking up the steps. There is one zone AC, so was very cool, which I appreciated. All in all, a perfectly pleasant stay.

Stayed for a long weekend just before the 4th of July. Fabulous place. Staff (Matt & James) are very welcoming and friendly. Other guests were very nice as well. We actually made a few new friends. Breakfast was great. Very tasty variety of fruit, pastry, yogurt, eggs & bacon. Would most definitely stay here again.

Owner, innkeeper and staff all take justifiable pride in this exceptional Inn. (Everything in mint condition - no marks on walls, nothing looks worn, professionally decorated rooms spotless, etc.) Close attention to every detail. We've stayed at the White Porch in 2009, were married on the roof-top deck in 2010, and just returned from celebrating our 2nd anniversary there last month. This was our second visit to Ptown and the White Porch Inn. We love staying at the White Porch Inn. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are cozy and romantic the location of the Inn is excellent! Overall, our stay was wonderful and we will definitely stay there again. Mat is also a wonderful host and we love the attendtion and friendlyness of all the staff!

We spent two restful nights at the White Porch Inn. Our room was small, as we expected given the age of the house, but comfortable and quite clean. Matt, the Innkeeper, was warm and helpful. We also enjoyed talking with the other staff. Breakfast was yummy and abundant. The other guests were friendly, the Inn was quiet and smoke-free, the common spaces were roomy, but cozy. All in all, the trip provided us with a much-needed rest and chance to enjoy the other’s company.

After a hectic week in New York City my wife and I took an Amtrak and ferry to Provincetown.We stayed at the White Porch Inn which had an extremely convenient location. Being British we are used to B&B accomodation but The White Porch Inn went way beyond any experiences we have had in England and Europe.The manager Matt, was charming, helpful and extremely knowledgeable regarding Provincetown especially restaurants. The home cooked breakfasts were superb and the nice touch of wine and cheese in the evening was something we looked forward to as a prelude to dining out. A fabulous way of meeting new people on the "white porch" in the evening sunshine. Our room was very clean, light with a great view of the monument. All in all a memorable stay at a wonderful B&B and a very speecial little seaside town. We felt as if we were part of a family after 5 nights, but in an "unsmothered" kind of way. The bonus is we got to see whales and took a bike ride thgrough the dunes. So, you should have no hesitation in booking into this inn. We intend to revisit as soon as we possibly can! We stayed at the White Porch Inn in June, 2012 for our honeymoon and had a wonderful stay there. The staff was very helpful and were willing to help with anything we needed (luggage, maps, reservations, etc.). Everything in the house is clean and updated and we felt at home the minute we stepped inside. Wine in the evening was nice to have while we talked with the other guests and breakfast each morning was outstanding. We will be coming back to the White Porch Inn very soon! My daughter and I arrived on Memorial Day and were warmly greeted. We stayed in the tiny carriage house room, but it was beautifully clean, cosy and had everything we needed. The host and staff were very welcoming and helpful and made our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was great. A lovely setting, very convenient and a relaxing welcoming atmosphere. Hope to return one day.

Our stay at the White Porch Inn was a series of daily pleasures -- charming staff, spotless rooms, tasty breakfasts that rank far above the modest description in advertising materials, comfortable common areas and, of course, the ample sunny porch which, along with the kitchen, was perfect for conversations with a delightfully varied guest list. Provincetown and the White Porch Inn provided a perfect kid free getaway. Matt the manager was gracious and personable, the perfect host. The staff was also great and friendly and the inn was elegantly appointed. Breakfast was also very filling and wonderfully prepared - it was like staying at your friend's fabulous vacation home. We were in the smallest room but it was still tastefully decorated with drawers under the platform bed for storage. The only downside .was the toilet paper was one ply. Still, a great place to stay! Highly recommended!

My wife and I stayed at the White Inn for 2 nights. Everything about our stay was fantastic! The room was bright, clean, well decorated, and very comfortable. I think we were told that the inn was renovated 6 years ago, but I would have guessed it was done within the last 6 months. The whole place was that beautiful and well maintained. Service was great. Always smiling and attentive. Matt and the team made us feel welcomed from the minute we walked in the door. We traveled with another couple who also stayed at the White Porch and they have made similar comments to those I have posted here. We are already discussing a return trip this fall.

This was our first stay at the White Porch Inn. The location is fabulous.. half a block off Commercial St. So easy, breezy to walk around town, which is what we like to do. The house is beautiful and the rooms are nice. The key highlight that makes this place memorable is Matt and his staff. Matt is great, friendly and knowledgeable about all items in Provincetown and in the area. It was wonderful to sit and chat with other visitors in the early evening when Matt put out wine and tasty treats. If it was warmer, we would have taken advantage of the beautiful porch that wrap around the house. We will be back!

My wife and I spent a weekend at the White Porch Inn and were very pleased with the stay. The home and grounds are well kept and the stay/mgmt were there to make our stay enjoyable. Our room, though abit small, was clean, well appointed and comfortable. It even had a gas fireplace, but it was warm enough that we didn't get to use it. Breakfast was continental style. We had a selection of yogurts, fruits, breads & bagels, coffee cake, and breakfast casserole. In the evening there was a wine and snacks. Coffee and tea seem to be available all day. The White Porch in is located in the Gallery district of Provinceton. Just off a side street. This is the more relaxing and quiet area. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again when back in Provincetown.

I needed a relaxing getaway, and chose the White Porch Inn. It was everything I was looking for and more. From the moment I arrived, the Innkeeper made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Throughout my stay, the staff were personable,attentive, and caring. Their charm and sense of humor created an atmosphere of hominess and comfort, and they were genuinely interested in guiding me to find activities and out-of-the-way spots of beauty. The Inn is well- situated--just up the street form Commercial Street; yet quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of P-town. My room was bright and airy, and a slice of the sea was visible from one of my windows. The Inn is decorated in a stylishly simple, yet warm fashion; and spotlessly clean. I loved the kitchen, with its cozy breakfast nook. This was a great spot to mix and mingle with other guests and the staff. A delicious, creative breakfast was served every morning--many choices: hot and cold. Wine and hors d'oeuvres were served each afternoon at 5pm, and coffee or tea were available all day. A porch should never be an afterthought, and the White Porch Inn's porch is a plus. There is shade and sun, a view of the sparkling bay, and rocking chairs to sit, read and relax in while the world goes by. I spent alot of time there. It was a little slice of heaven. My 9 days'- stay wasn't long enough for me. I am already planning a return visit--highly recommended if you are looking for a warm, friendly atmosphere, excellent care, and the flavor of a beautiful seaside town. We felt welcome in the whole house from the very first moment. The staff is very nice and always makes sure you are enjoying your stay: friendly, forthcoming, willing to help, always ready to give advice. Breakfast is outstanding, the room was very clean, if it's raining you can just grab one of the large umbrellas or stay inside choosing from a collection of DVDs or board games and make some tea or coffee (always water etc provided, plus they have a wine hour with some little snacks every day at 5pm). Only 5 minutes walk to the Commercial Street where the Pier is, and couple of minutes to smaller grocery stores. The little things were great, such as they are providing complementary water bottles at arrival in your room and special face towels. If I have to mention something I didn't like, it is only this: We stayed in Wood End and the refrigerator is in a little closet which gets very warm and the space for your stuff is not that big (sorry, "only" 3 stars for the room). But other than that, it was just great! Matt and the whole staff are amazing and got from the beginning that we kind of want to do our own thing rather than talking a lot. Other guests had long conversations and we felt that everybody else enjoyed there stay as well. We got the recommendation from friends and can recommend it ourselves.

We had a fantastic time. We had the room on the third floor with private deck, great view. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly especially Matt. The waffles that we had on Sunday were delicious. Highly recommend a B&B to visit.

We were looking for a nice spot for a late spring mini-vacation in Provincetown, and we picked the White Porch Inn based on consistently good reviews. The reviews were true. The decor is lovely, the rooms are very comfortable, and it offers both the community feel of a B&B but also plenty of privacy. The breakfasts were great with something different and delicious every day. The location can't be beat, and Matt does a great job of making all guests feel welcome and comfortable. Warm, kind eyes and always willing to offer suggestions on where to go, dinning and some fun even in the offseason. If looking for faultless elegance and the best of B&Bs then stay here. From the greeting from your host Matthew to the final farewell there is nothing to fault about staying at the White Porch Inn. We stayed in the Long Point bedroom and it was charm personified. It is a jewel of a room, small but beautifully appointed that was easy for 2 people to make use of. Breakfast was really an entertainment, the food was lovely and the company was great, the breakfast room again was charming and nothing was rushed; you were constantly made to feel at home. But the real asset of this lovely inn is Matthew. His is a lively, funny, irreverent and intelligent. He is a great source of local knowledge and his recommendations can be followed with confidence. My partner and I had an amazing experience at White Porch Inn The room was clean, quaint and relaxing. Doors to vacant rooms remain open so you can peak in, which was fun! The hospitality was really what sold us, with wine/ snack hour every day at 5pm, tea around the clock and amazing breakfasts every morning. The atmosphere was more welcoming than any other P-Town Inn we have stayed at. We hung out in the common areas a lot because of the nice music that was always playing, the comfy couches and great art hanging on the walls. Also, White Porch Inn is in a great location and we were able to get everywhere we needed without getting in the car at all. We cant wait to go back and strongly recommend it for others!

We arrived at the White Porch Inn on a cold and rainy Thursday afternoon, but the small gas fire in our room was warm and cheerful. So was Matt, our host, who manages to be the perfect innkeeper--friendly and helpful, discreet and non-intrusive. The room was immaculate. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub, and the excellent breakfast, cooked by Matt and served in a lovely sunny dining room the next morning. The White Porch Inn provided the perfect off season weekend getaway and we look forward to our next visit.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the White Porch Inn last weekend. The Inn was exquisite and classic while also being very homey. The service provided by Leslie was amazing and we felt so welcome. Breakfast was always delicious and the cocktail hour each night was a wonderful way to connect with other guests and Leslie as well. We will definitely look to come back to the White Porch next time we are in P-Town. It was a fantastic weekend.

This past Wednesday, my boyfriend and I took the hour and half drive from Boston to get away for the day-- and so glad we did! Leslie (the innkeeper) was so pleasant and helpful! Our room was immaculate!! And the fireplace was such a nice touch for the off-season! They have really put a lot of effort in every detail of the inn. The kitchen is gorgeous- right out of a kitchen decor magazine or HGTv show:) We had such a nice experience, would of stayed longer -- but had to get back to our students:) Enjoy!

We spent our honeymoon stay at the White Porch Inn in Ptown. It was all and more than we hoped.. Matt, the host, was incredibly accommodating, thought of all our needs, made great recommendations for dining, and just made it such a pleasure to stay here.

Matt our host was gracious, friendly, and very helpful. The inn is beautiful inside and out (our room was tastefully appointed). All that we wanted to see was within a short walk from the residence. We got to meet some wonderful folks from across the country who happened to be staying at the Inn along with us. All in all, a very relaxing weekend!

I was at the White Porch Inn few days in January 2012. I have seen many places before but this one amazed me in every ways. From the second I set foot inside, I was being well taking care of. The place is clean, comfortable, the decoration of this entire Inn is great. The room was cozy, had a fireplace and bathtub, very clean and felt like home. The manager on site Matt and his helper Boyan, were very nice and cooked very great things for breakfast. The Inn is located right in the center of town, close to good restaurants and bars. I recommand strongly this Inn to anyone, should be rated 5 stars !!!!!

I recently stayed at the White Porch Inn over the New Year holiday and I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. The level of comfort, cleanliness, location, and host were all outstanding! Wonderful breakfast spread in the morning, nice relaxing wine in the late afternoon. Your host Matt will make you feel insanely welcome and take great care of you as his guests.....it's like staying with an old friend. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in P'town for a night or a lengthy stay. You won't be disappointed.

My girlfriend and I recently returned from a 4 night stay at the White Porch Inn. This was our second time staying there and as usual it was an amazing trip all around. First and foremost are the rooms and the building itself, which are absolutely beautiful. Every room is cozy and has a distinct feel to it which separates it from the rest (as well as a flat screen TV + fireplace). On our first trip in December 2010 we stayed in the Wood End Light room which has rooftop views that are gorgeous in the winter. This year (2011) we stayed in the Long Point Light room which was stunning. It has cathedral ceilings, a beautiful stand-up shower, and an amazing view of the bay. Every square inch of this B+B is elegantly (but not over-done) decorated and has a relaxing feel to it. None of this would matter however if it weren't for the most wonderful innkeeper, Matt. I cannot express how remarkable this man is, attentive but not overbearing and also has a wonderful sense of humor. The meals he prepared for us every morning were spectacular as well as the wine and tasty treats he left out every evening. He also has a wealth of information on Provincetown and the surrounding areas which comes in handy during the off season (he rec a bunch of great restaurants, bars, shops, and even a secret bird sanctuary). When it comes down to it a B+B is only as good as its Innkeeper and so far I haven't met a single one better than Matt, my hat goes off to you sir! Finally the White Porch Inn is located just steps away from The Squealing Pig (a great bar with excellent food and Belgian beer), Crown Point Inn (fine dining at its best), Wire Puppy (coffee shop, try the eggnog latte), and a plethora of great shops. Provincetown is an amazing place in the winter. Exploring the frozen dunes and frigid beaches is truly something to behold. Bring a camera and soak up the atmosphere. We recently stayed at the White Porch Inn, and both my wife and I were delighted. The house itself is beautifully restored; the interior is done in impeccable good taste. The table settings were superb, as was breakfast. Most importantly, the manager, Matt, was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in every way. My wife forgot something in our room when we left. Matt restored it to us FEDEX express the next day. A great little B&B - we recommend it without hesitation.

Provincetown is a great place to visit during the off season. We stayed here for a couple of night while in MA for the Thanksgiving holiday. The White Porch Inn is lovely and close to the center of just about everything. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

This B&B by far exceeding any expectations that I had. The pictures really don't do it justice. The renovations and interior finishes are far superior to most B&B's that I have stayed. The host/innkeeper Matt is the host with the most! He was in touch prior to the stay and even a follow up after we left. He was very helpful providing information on the town and made sure we felt very welcome. Lesley who works at the house was a pleasure and again very welcoming! The rooms were fantastic with fireplace, flat screen tv, high end bedding. The rooms were incredibly cozy! We look forward to a future stay!

My husband and I stayed with our two teenage daughters for three nights at the end of October 2011 - although off season Provincetown is still a lovely, relaxing place to be and The White Porch Inn is the perfect place to stay. The rooms are stylish and well equipped (one of ours had a very welcome fire). Matt, who runs the place is a helpful and friendly yet unobtrusive host who goes out of his way to may your stay whatever you want it to be. He provided some excellent restaurant recommendations and organised nightly 'Wine At 5' which was fun. He also cooks up a great breakfast in laid back surroundings.The night after we left the place was fully booked for Halloween weekend but when they have free rooms they leave them open so guests can have a good look round. The room on the top floor is spacious with a lovely balcony. Would definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely loved the White Porch Inn. Stayed there the weekend before my birthday and couldn't have asked for a nicer place to spend our time. Location is great, just a few steps away from Commercial Street. Still nice and quiet though. Matt is a great host, recommended some trails for us for Saturday when we mentioned hiking, and also recommended a great dinner spot for Saturday night (Napi's - check it out if you are in the area) Breakfast was delicious, nice and laid back. The rooms and the whole inn are super pretty and decorated in a very nice way. Would definitely stay here again.

Upon arriving, walking through the beautiful french screen doors Mr. Matt was greeting us with a big smile and a very warm welcome. This Inn is magnificent!!!! We were also give an upgrade due to a neighbor cutting a tree down and would be making plenty of noise while we were around. Very generous!! I will be back, I will be staying in all the rooms! In the morning both Matt and Lesley me us with a big smile and a made to order breakfast!!!!! We didn't want to leave the dining room or kitchen... The White Porch Inn is a perfect paradise. If you want a worry-free visit with no hassles, this is the place. Matt took care of everything and thought of everything before we even had to ask. We arrived a bit early for our reservation, however Matt was most hospitable, and locked away our luggage while we walked about to get lunch and see the town. And sure to his word, when we arrived back, retrieved our room key, he had placed our bags in the room. And off we were for a great stay in a very lovely accommodation. I just completed a two-night stay at the White Porch Inn and loved it! The house was completely remodeled with a lot of taste and is kept very clean (the pictures are faithful). The manager was extremely warm, welcoming, accommodating and an excellent cook. Ask for the ham & cheese omelet at breakfast. Moreover, the wine happy hour was a great surprise and opportunity to socialize with the other guests. The parking was a little tight but it seems to be the norm in Provincetown, so make sure you reserve a parking spot.

I wish the rooms had been a little bit larger. In the cooler weather, there are more clothes to bring and between the luggage and the laptops, the room at time felt claustrophobic. Matt & Leslie were wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. The breakfast and coffee each morning was a special treat. I would recommend this place to a friend. It was so close to Commercial Street and the bay (for a quick dip, in case you didn't want to drive to the ocean).

Our stay was wonderful from the moment we walked in. Matt is FANTASTIC and made us feel like we were old friends. He made sure that we knew where we were going and offered great suggestions. The breakfast was amazing and the mornings were enjoyable with the other guests...many of them that were repeat visitors. This inn is head and shoulders above any other place in town. I only hope we have another reason to go back!

Ann and I recently stayed for a couple of nights and would highly recommend this B & B to anyone - Matt ws probably one of the best hosts we have met (and we travel a lot). He went out of his way to make us feel at home and the breakfasts and evening wine and cheese were excellent. Overall a great experience.

My husband and I reserved a room for two nights but ended up staying an extra night because we just didn't want to go home. The Inn is beautiful, staff is "amazing", and breakfast delicious. It is centrally located and you can walk to everything. A must place to stay when in Provincetown.

Having been to Provincetown in the past and staying over the past 10-years, I highly recommend the White Porch Inn. Recently married, we decided to take a mini honeymoon to P-Town. We stayed in the 1st floor of the carriage house "Chatham Light". Seeing that the house was partially empty, Matt offered to give us an upgrade in the main house at no additional charge, however we liked the privacy of the Carriage house and stayed there. Clearly the Inn has been updated recently, and everything was in top notch order. The weekend before Columbus Day is a slow season, so most of the shops and restaurants were gearing down for the season. We asked Matt, our host for a good restaurant and he was happy to oblige, he also pointed us to a nice nature hike that we never knew about. You can stay pretty much anyplace in P-town, as we have stayed in other guest houses, but this place seemed special, we were made to feel at home, we were welcomed with open arms and we truly had a great time meeting the other guests at breakfast and also at the 5:00 social hour. Comfortable beds, fluffy towels and a great atmosphere make this place a shining star. Thanks again to both Matt & Leslie for being personable and friendly, we both felt as we were staying with old friends at the White Porch Inn. We'll be back next season, this place is definitely worth 5 stars! Rick & Bill

Room was small but was last one available for our trip time period. Need to book ealier next time. Staff is great and very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Central air is tricky as room temp changes drastically from hot to cold. Would definitely stay again.

It's a lovely house, but the rooms and bathrooms are very small. For the price charged, I would expect more space.

We spent two nights at this wonderful B&B. The place is charming, well appointed, run well, clean, and well located in Provincetown. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive to what ever we needed. I would highly recommend this place and would look to stay here again when we come to Provincetown.

My husband and I stayed at the White Porch Inn for one night during a longer Cape trip with family. It is beautifully decorated and the hosts, Tom and Matt, could not have been nicer. Our room was small but comfortable and spotless - I was impressed by the cleanliness. As someone who gets stressed out by kitchy B&B decor, I loved the decor here - everything was very stylish and calming. Matt even overheard me talking to my husband about one of the design elements and, since he could tell I was interested in design, he showed me a photo album of the "before" pictures from before they renovated the building. That is the kind of great personal touch that really makes me feel welcome and makes me want to go back. Plus the location can't be beat - just off Commercial Street but still plenty quiet. Definitely hope to stay at the White Porch Inn again next time we are in P-town!

The staff were always very pleasant and professional. We got married during our time in P Town and the staff at the Inn went out of their way to make it a special day for us. I would recommend the Inn for anyone and will definitely stay there again.

The White Porch Inn has all the charm of a New England B&B in addition to all of the conviences of higher priced hotels. The staff is very friendly and make you feel like they're welcoming you back home, even if it's your first visit. The level of cleanliness is outstanding and the bed is very comfortable. If youre a light breakfast eater (like I am) you can pick from an attractive and tasty variety of breakfast foods such as yogurt, fesh fruit, cereal, etc. or if you like a heartier start to your day, there's a choice of eggs, waffles, sausages and other yummy delights. When you're relaxing on the porch, you feel like you've been gently placed into a serene little piece of the world where troubles and worries don't dare to intrude. When you're ready for a little shopping, dining or night life, you only have to stroll two short blocks and you are magically transported to one of the most fun and interesting places in the northeast. You really need to experience it for yourself.

Having never stayed at a B&B, yet certain I wanted to visit Ptown, MA - I was initially leery about my stay - but, The White Porch Inn was fantastic and exceeded all possible expectations - especially the staff which made my stay that much more pleasant. The house itself is beautiful and looks exactly like the online photos, the rooms are clean and sizable, breakfast is also good and includes a variety of choices. I will definitely return to the White Porch Inn the next time I wish to hang out in Ptown for a getaway...

The worst part about the White Porch Inn is waking up on the last morning of your vacation and realizing that you have to leave. We loved the privacy of our room, the delicious breakfast, relaxing evenings of wine and cheese on the porch and the friends we made during our stay. I would recomment the White Porch Inn to anyone looking for an intimate, inviting place to stay in P-town.

From the moment we got there until our departure, the staff at the White Porch Inn was exceptional! The house is beautifully decorated, the rooms more than ample. Breakfast was grand, when it was made by either Leslie or Matt! Tom and Matt (owner and manager) are so warm and friendly....nothing is a big deal! We will definitely be returning next summer....

We have been going to P'town for years, and four years ago made reservations at the White Porch Inn. We keep coming back for more. The Inn is meticulously clean and each room is unique. We have stayed in four different rooms over the years as we make plans on short notice. Matt is wonderful. He makes you feel special - as though you are the only guests at the Inn. Whatever you need, he makes it happen. The evening "wine on the porch" is a great way to mingle with the other guests, or have some quiet time before dinner. The breakfasts are great as well. Comfy, meticulous, delicious...perfect!

My partner and I returned to Provincetown to celebrate his birthday and stayed at the White Porch for the first time. We could not have been more pleased. Matt and his team including Lesley and Matthew could not have been more attentive to detail during the trip including personal interaction, accomodations and dining. We felt we were in the home of friends as opposed to a commercial B&B. We have both traveled internationally and domestically and have visited Provincetown many times. The White Porch has now become our home away from home when we return to P-town.

Everything about our recent stay at the White Porch Inn was most enjoyable. The owner, innkeeper and staff added greatly to the experience, and the other guests were interesting and friendly. Looking forward to visiting again in the (hopefully) near future.

Room was a little bit small but that was my fault since I booked late (3 months prior..lol). If you plan on visiting Ptown in June/July, book a room by January of that year. Place is great, well kept. Matt (who runs Inn) is fantastic !!!

We had a fabulous four-night stay at WPI last week (July 9th - 12th during Bear Week). The house is really casual chic...photos don't do it justice. There are so many spots to hang out or have a drink with fellow housemates: from the namesake porch to the comfy leather chesterfield sofas in the living room to the bright open kitchen where charming Innkeeper Matt works wonders with breakfast in the morning. The location just off Commercial Street was ideal, so close to everything yet removed just enough. Our room (Nauset Light) was cozy and quiet at the back of the house. Everything was immaculate and well thought out. The captain's bed (with built-in storage) was comfortable with crisp sheets and soft quilt. Our time at WPI was like staying at a friend's summer cottage. Matt is a gracious Innkeeper with a great sense of humor. Our hats are off to him and his amazing staff. I so enjoyed the hospitality at the White Porch Inn. Everyone there was so friendly and the staff was helpful and very entertaining! I felt so at home and would gladly return. We chose the WPI for it's small luxurious feel. The Innkeeper, Matt was extremely accomodating during a very busy period. I can only describe the stay as being like staying with a friend who is an interior designer and a great breakfast cook. Elegant, comfortable and of course the porch is fantastic. High ceilings and beadboard detail really make this an outstanding choice. And the location couldn't be better. As in all older buildings in the area, the a/c is central and you cannot control it indivually. The sea breezes where fantastic though. I would bring earplugs next time for the birds chirping. Who can blame them? Definitely going back.

We really wish that we could have stayed longer! The room was amazing and the view and fresh air breezes at night made it even better!!

Although the wether was not ideal, we had a more than pleasant stay in Provencetown. The Withe Porch Inn is a prefect place to stay. The rooms are great and a better host, you won't find somewere else.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the White Porch Inn, from the moment we arrived and met our host Matt who was waiting on the front porch until our last breakfast treat our stay was more then enjoyable. After helping us unload and carrying our bags to the room Matt filled us in about P-town its people, beaches, restaurants, whale watching tours and our various places to visit during our stay. He was more then accommodating in making reservations at area restaurants that he thought we would enjoy. Our room was beautifully decorated and very clean. Each morning we had wonderful breakfast in the main dining area with an eclectic group of visitors staying at the white porch. If you get a chance visit the Beach Forrest area and enjoy the nature trails, Matt was very familar with the rules against feeding the birds and filled us in on same. He is an asset to the White Porch Inn and the community of P-town. Looking forward to when we can visit again.

We stayed at the White Porch Inn while scouting locations for our wedding (a very small event with only a handful of friends and family). We had such a wonderful stay and the location was so beautiful that we asked if we could hold the cermony there! I travel a great deal and very rarely stay somewhere that does such a great job from every angle. The food is delicious. The rooms are extremely clean and inviting. The common areas are impeccably decorated and comfortable.

Me and my girlfriend can just recommend to stay at this B&B! Even in cold March this was a very comfortable and nice stay. Pretty friendly Innkeeper who makes delicious breakfast and gives best advices for the daytrips and dinner. Everything is tidy and clean, our room was very cosy. Could be a little bigger, but that didn't change our general impression!

The location of the Inn is great, with many fun restaurants and shops nearby on Commercial Street. In the morning, there was an amazing breakfast spread. We were sad to leave. Hope to return sometimes soon.

The lay out was brilliant and the space extemely well designed. Of equal importance it was absolutely immaculate. My only recomendation.. boys pick up a Keurig machine!

A great quiet getaway and Matt and Tom are exceptionally organized and welcoming.

We stayed on a cold early Winter night. The room was comfortable, the Inn attractive and warm. Everything was was well maintained and clean. Our host made us feel welcomed. It was a great find; we will return.

White Porch Inn is serious about providing wonderfully clean, comfortable lodging and outstanding service. There are plenty of B and B's in Ptown, but this one really gets it. Matt, the Innkeeper, is a real pro and fantastic at making guests feel at home, and anticipating their needs. Breakfast was great every day, with lots of choices. The rooms are impeccably clean; my only criticism is the lack of end table or nightstand to set things down. The sheets and towels are top quality, as one would expect for this price range. I have stayed in many other Inns in Ptown and it is surprising how lacking some are in details for what they charge. This is not the case at White Porch - there has been great thought put into this business and it shows from small details to service. Highly recommended!!

From the moment we arrived, Matt and staff were welcoming, attentive, and accommodating. Our room was well-appointed and clean, making good use of space. The en-suite bathroom similarly provided all the needed amenities (including a heated floor, a much appreciated detail). Matt prepared wonderful breakfasts for us (with ample delicious coffee) and provided spot-on recommendations for dining in town. The Inn is convenient to Commercial Street shopping and restaurants and we appreciated its proximity to east end art galleries. Over the years, we've stayed at a number of Ptown guest houses and find that the White Porch Inn provides the right balance of professional service and friendly comfort. We look forward to staying again at the White Porch Inn.

My partner and I go to P-town quite a bit, and we were very pleasantly surprised to discover the White Porch Inn after "our" usual inn was closed for the holidays. The rooms are super clean and simply decorated with wonderful, soothing colors and clean lines. The inn itself is warm and welcoming, and Matt was present and helpful w/o being too present. And his breakfasts were delicious! We'll definitely go back, and the White Porch Inn may very well become "our" New inn.

It was one of my best Provincetown experiences. The White Porch Inn provided an outstanding level of service with a personal touch. Staying off season is the perfect way to experience the high quality accommodations at a reduced price. The rooms are comfortable and understated. Matt is a terrific host and takes special care in meeting the needs of the guests. The White Porch Inn is highly recommended.
