My wife and I have stayed at Gabriel's for three visits . I am currently in the process of planning a winter get away and realized I have never written a review. Well the winter get away will be here as it is the best. The people, the surroundings and the location are incredible. From the moment we arrive we feel at home always wishing are time will not fly by ; it always does. So looking forward to our next trip. Now I just have to figure out what weekend and oh, my what room???? One more mention WOW pet friendly!!!!!!! You're all amazing. The RI gals xo

I simply love this place.. Elizabeth and Elizabeth are awesome and make you feel right at home. The breakfast is fantastic and their staff is so nice, so friendly and just so kind. I can't recommend it enough. It is a bit pricey but its worth it. If it were more reasonable I would stay there more often.

This room is about as central as you can get, located directly UNDER the monument. The room was beautiful, albeit small. The bathroom was probably the least favorite space. The shower was almost unusable - I couldn't even lift my arms to wash myself as I smashed into the walls (6' tall 250#). You have to straddle the toilet to use the mirror, and the sink is in the main room as part of the kitchenette - not in the bathroom. Doable, but a bit strange. Other than that, very clean, very comfortable. I would stay there again. (there IS no dining, but there is no "star" for "not available" and this site would not take my entry without a rating.)

The innkeepers/owners continue to upgrade the rooms and spare no expense when doing so. The breakfast served in the common area was awesome, and everything was fresh and cooked to order. Our host in the dinning area, Christopher, was a delight very charming and very entertaining. The over all service by everyone was prompt and you could tell that they really cared about their guests comfort. We'll be back.

Enjoyed our stay very much as did Millie our Cairn Terrier. Great location, 2 second walk to town center & all the action. Close to park for a quick dog walk. Will be back to the Gabriel soon.

Enjoyed it all

This time we stayed in Collette, a very nice room with a beautiful fireplace and decadent shower. As always, the Elizabeth's and their staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were fabulous. We prefer to stay at Gabriel's when we visit Provincetown and are already reserving a room for next year.

Incredible experience... Every detail has been thought thru... Staff is very attentive, well trained and friendly. It's so peaceful and restful... They exceeded every expectation! The Brides stayed for 10 days, we stayed for 4 and wish we could have stayed more! Family from Texas, NY, Ohio and Florida all very pleased (and some of them are very fussy!). Everyone raved about the accommodations... We we're in "Willow", very private, large room, and simply the best jacuzzi/11 head shower experience I have ever had... You can not beat the location, one street off Commercial makes it less noisy and busy - but still über close to everything. Without a doubt we will share our great experience with friends and are we planning a return to this P-Town gem next year!

What a great place. Centrally located right across from Portuguese Square . . . we didn't need our car all weekend, walked every where. The staff was welcoming, friendly an warm. Breakfast was amazing. We came with our dogs and they were treated like royalty also. This will be our new home in P-town!

Very Clean and comfortable rooms. Great location, walking distance to everything. Would not stay any where else while visiting the Cape!
4.8 on October 29, 2013
Gracious hospitality is certainly the order of the day at Gabriel's! A wonderful cooked-to-order breakfast was offered each morning and homemade baked items were out with coffee through the day. The room was a bit stark but the setting was lush and delightful. The bed was the most comfortable we've enjoyed at any inn or B & B. Centrally located across from the Town Hall in Provincetown, we were able to walk to all that P-town offers. We look forward to returning to Gabriel's!

We loved our visit to P-town and particularly the friendly staff at Gabriel's. It was our first time traveling with our dog and I believe we could not have had a more pleasant experience! Just as an aside, our room had the best shower ever!

We came back to P-Town for the start of Women's Week and in that spirit wanted to stay in a bed and breakfast owned by women. Gabriel's was great! From the warm welcome, to the incredible breakfasts each and every morning, Gabriel's fulfilled our every need. Our room-Laurel was spacious and the shower was incredible with full pressured jets from every direction. The tub was incredible too. We loved it! Dara and Martha

I really needed a break from what was a horrible summer,,,,this was the best medicine. Loved the garden, sitting there on a beautiful day was amazing. The inn is the most beautiful inn I have stayed at! Breakfast was great!
2.6 on October 11, 2013
The room that I stayed in was clean and comfortable with the exception of the bathroom. The bathroom size was small as well as the shower. One of the days it got warm and I attempted to open the window. It appeared that the window didn't open at all. The parking was a challenge to get to. The parking is up the hill and then you cut down through a school area. If you have a disability or asthma, I would suggest parking in a different location.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Gabriel's for two nights for his birthday in September. Neither of us had ever been to Gabriel's before, let alone a bed and breakfast. We were pleasanty surprised at the quality of both the room we stayed in and the breakfast each morning. The room was equipped with a gas fireplace, kitchenette, and whirlpool tub. Breakfast was a lovely spread, complete with made-to-order omelettes. The staff was really pleasant, especially Christopher. All in all, a wonderful experience.

We loved Gabriel's in Provincetown, MA. Our room was wonderful - fireplace - nice bathroom. But what we really enjoyed what the staff and owners. We were made to feel so welcome each and every day we were there. The breakfasts were wonderful! - eggs one day - omelets the next - there was cereal, yogurt - waffles or pancakes - more than we ever expected to be offered. We choose to eat outside in their beautiful garden deck area. Other visitors and staff gave us great ideas about what to see and do during our visit. It was just the best place to stay!!

Felt at home staying at the inn,my dog loved it too, want to come back soon.
5 on October 07, 2013
My fiance and myself had a great time at this B&B. Located in the heart of Ptown across the street from City Hall, around the corner from the Pilgrim Monument and one block away from Commercial Street made it extremely easy to walk to all the restaurants and shops. Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good and made you feel like you were home. We would definitely stay here again !
5 on October 07, 2013
I loved staying here. I brought my dog with me and the two Innkeepers made all of us feel most welcomed.

Clean, friendly inn with beautiful gardens. The breakfast, which is included in the price of the room, is outstanding. The establishment is very close is town and we chose it so we could walk everywhere which was a good idea because the parking lot is several blocks away and up a hill. Most annoying were the bells from a nearby building which rang the number of times of every hour and once on the half hour. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper!
3.6 on September 29, 2013
We have stayed at this place a few times the last couple of years. Good place to stay and owners are very friendly, as well as staff members.
4.6 on September 25, 2013
Breakfast was amazing. The staff made us feel almost like family (but better)!
4.8 on September 25, 2013
My boyfriend and I stayed there for one Friday night. We didn't spend much time in the room, since we were out and about exploring. The room is really nice. It is like taking your house with you. I really liked that it had its own kitchen. The shower is a little small, but it has a hand shower head which is nice. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for cleanliness was because we found a pair of lady's underwear in one of the drawers where the tv is. I recommend this place for anyone who is going to or near Provincetown.

Our anniversary week (Sept 13 through 22) was spent in Ariel, the bright, open, "penthouse" under the oak complete with a large private deck, table and chairs overlooking the gardens below. Upon arrival, we were greeted like family and assisted with all of our bags and goodies for the week. Ariel is complete with refrigerator and freezer as well as an electric stove with oven, and all were put to use! (We found that we forgot a cheese grater to make our salad, and when we asked about it, one was provided with a smile.) A very comfy king sized bed had us sleeping soundly right from the first night. The innkeepers - both named Elizabeth, are pleasant, friendly and very approachable. Their wish to make sure their guests are happy is the reason we keep going back to stay with them each year, this one for our 23rd anniversary. The most magical thing about this B & B is the breakfast table in the Great Room. Fresh, made to order breakfast is a wonderful thing. Meeting new friends and forging lasting relationships by sharing a meal with people from all over the world: Priceless. Sharon & Becky

I enjoyed staying at Gabriels. There is no doubt that they take pride in what they do. While there are MANY amazing things about their property, there are a few that need attention. Many of their bathrooms need attention. It is not so much updating, it is that they are badly orchestrated or malfunctioning. In my room, we had a "full body shower" that faced the door. Unfortunately, half the door had been removed and replaced with a shower curtain. The last person had left the body unit on. When the shower was turned on, 10 gallons of water sprayed me in the face and flooded the bathroom. When we turned it to the overhead, there was almost no pressure. And the one side that WAS a door was stationary so you couldn't use it. Therefore you are expected to stand in the shower to turn it on. Another room has a "steam unit". It has been disconnected. A third room we used has NO sink in the bathroom so you have to brush your teeth, etc in the kitchen. Also, the fireplaces are connected to the thermostat so you have to set your room to 90 degrees if you want the ambiance all night. Which you cannot do because the units are badly calibrated and put off so much heat that when running, you cannot set foot within 10 feet of them or you will be burned. Heaven forbid you accidentally touch one. Aside from that, it is a lovely place. Food is amazing. The owners are lovely. Grounds are beautiful. I just wish these few issues would finally be addressed.

Gabriel's is a fantastic bed and breakfast; walking distance to all the action, yet has that secluded feel you want in an inn. And if you have (well-mannered, friendly) dogs, it is THE place to be! They treat your pets like family there. They also serve great breakfasts, have spacious rooms, and create a warm, positive atmosphere!
5 on September 23, 2013
The key to Gabriel's is the staff. Everyone is so friendly, so kind, so responsive.... Breakfast is not just breakfast, but an event. We sat around a large table while Elizabeth took our orders. Chatted with others at the B&B. Everyone was good company, both LGBT and straight. All welcome. Breakfast was to look forward to each day. The room was great, even had a washer and dryer in the bedroom closet, so convenient. Location wonderful, just a block off of commercial street, the main street in Provincetown. We would recommend this place very highly and hope to be able to return one day soon.

I highly recommend this cozy B&B. Great rooms, very clean, and great breakfast included. Also, you can't beat the location, walk a few minutes to Commercial Street.
5 on September 19, 2013
We were made to feel very welcome at Gabriels, our room was great, and very clean. The bathroom was on the small side, but we knew it would be, and it was more than adequate. Breakfast was very good - freshly prepared, and we always had a friendly welcome every morning, and the whole "complex" at Gabriels was beautifully landscaped, and very relaxing. We will definitely be staying there next time we visit Provincetown

This is our 9th year staying at Gabriel's at the Ashbrooke Inn. This is the only place to stay. The Elizabeths' always make you feel at home. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and always wanting to please the guests. Thank you for another great stay.

Great location, wonderful hosts, exceptional service. Nicoletta a summer student from Bulgaria was wonderful, she carried our bags in, gave us directions to dog friendly restaurants, help serve breakfast and cleaned the rooms. She was one of several very cordial staff members at Gabriela. Well worth the money for a 2 night stay. Walking distance, a block away from the very busy Commercial street venders. We will definitely be back

Truly terrific place and all that it claimed it would be. Came down here to get away for three days, and Gabriel's was a comfortable, convenient location. I only had the breakfast one day, but would have had it more if I had known how good it would be. Truly friendly owners and staff. Can't wait to return again.

Gabriel's has it all, from the perfect location to an awesome staff. This was the 2nd time we had stayed there and it will be the only place we go when we're headed to Cape Cod. The rooms are spotless, spacious with modern appointments. Every morning we were greeted by the friendly staff and were offered a variety of breakfast choices. But the difficult decision was usually averted by having some of each. Passing through the Great room in the afternoon was always a treat and the fresh baked cookies or pastries set out on the counter were amazing. The Brookes are everything innkeepers should be: always with a great recommendation and there to help with whatever you need. We left a cell phone charger in one of the rooms after we had left. That day, I received a note from Elizabeth saying they had found it and two days later I had it in my hand as she mailed it out to me that day. It's the little extra things like that, on top of everything else that make this the best place to stay in Provincetown. - Terry & Melissa A

Location was great. Just a block from all the activity in town, but very quiet and had a "tucked away" feeling to the place. Staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was excellent every morning. We'd definitely go there again and now that we know it's pet-friendly, will also take advantage of that. Recommend it.

I recently planned a trip with my fiancee to Provincetown. I was excited to learn last minute... I mean literally the Friday before we left that instead of leaving Sunday morning we'd be able to leave Saturday afternoon! I called around to a bunch of hotels in the Cape that had rooms open but refused to book only 1 night!!!! I came across Gabriel's through their website and was delighted by the quick response and their flexibility. We checked in around 8pm and still received a warm welcome! The room was amazing and we were right downtown! It was the perfect start to a dream vacation!!! I absolutely will stay again but next time more than 1 night!

My dog Roxie and I have been going to Gabriel's for the past 3 years. The owners and staff are like old friends, we are always happy to see them. This year I stayed in a different room then in the past "Christopher's Room" It was very nice and had everything you needed. Roxie really loved her plush doggie bed and treats the staff left for her. Always sad to leave , look forward to the next time .

The staff was accommodating and made sure we had everything we could possibly need, from a beach towel to an umbrella if necessary. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, cooked to order and just about anything you could possibly desire. Thank you so much for making our vacation so memorable. Linda and Nancy

I have stayed here a handful of times and LOVE IT. It is a little pricey but it's such a quaint clean place. The location is perfect, about mid-way on Commercial right behind Town Hall. The breafast is fantastic ! The owners and staff are always pleasant and go out of their way to make you feel at home. I bring my dog and that has always been super easy. There is a park right next door. The only thing is unpacking and packing the car. There is no real room being right on Bradford that it's a bit stressful trying to hurry to get out of the way of the line of traffic. I would highly recommend Gabriel's for your stay in Ptown !

Clean room, stayed in dorothea-dix. Some people might complain about the fact that the decorations and wallpaper is a bit dated, but I appreciated the included fridge, microwave and sink. Bathroom was great with 2 person jacuzzi whirlpool tub. The actual grounds are unique and was a nice experience. Service vas outstanding an A+. All staff that I interacted with were more than friendly and accomodating to our needs. Breakfast was freshly made and tasty. Cookies, juices and milk are available as a snack. Not the cheapest place to stay, but you get what you pay for. The only negative, I could say is that parking is a bit of a walk. Other than that, no complaints! Would recommend to anyone and would stay here again!!

We returned to Gabriel's after 18 years to celebrate our marriage becoming legal in our home state. After 18 years, Gabriel's was even better than we remembered it! Our Mary Oliver room was spacious, clean, well maintained, air conditioned and quiet. We enjoyed the private balcony and the shower for two. The location can't be beat. We especially enjoyed our made-to-order breakfasts and the hospitality of Elizabeth and the kitchen staff.

I found Gabriel's to be a wonderful little hideaway. Gabriel's is one block off Commercial st. which makes it great, close enough to all of the action but far enough away that you can enjoy some quite time. The pathways and gardens were wonderful. The staff is fabulous and Gracie of the great room is as cute as a button. I would highly recommend Gabriel's.

We have been staying at Gabriel's for the last 2 years now when we vacation in Provincetown, MA, and we love it here! We can bring our dog with us, which means the world to us! The room we stay in is always clean, and comfortable. They even place a clean doggie bed, bowls, and a portable pooper bag carrier in the room too! The staff are friendly and take care of everything you may need, even the items you may have forgotten; such as beach towels, chairs, beach umbrella, or even an umbrella to walk around town with in the event of an afternoon or evening shower. The breakfast each morning is wonderful! And, their coffee is the best too! We can not say enough good things about Gabriel's at The Ashbrooke Inn! Love, Love, Love it!!!

This is the second or third time I have stayed at Gabriel's at the Ashbrooke Inn. The hostesses are great, especially Elizabeth. The inn was quick at responding to me and ensuring a comfortable stay. I recommend the Laurel room for its beauty. The room we stayed in, Dorothy Dix, was nice but not as nice as Laurel room. The cleaning was spotty the first day (sweeping the floor specifically), but once we reported it, the cleaning was well done the second and the rest of our nights there. The breakfast is for champions. The garden at Gabriel's is gorgeous and makes you feel lost in a magical forest. It is clear that the owners worked hard and invested well in the property. We will definitely recommend it to others, but will indicate that each room is different.

This is the B&B my partner and I compare every other B&B too! The breakfast each morning is outstanding. After only our second stay the staff feels like old friends! Breakfast is served each day in a warm inviting space. I cant say enough good things about the Elizabeths and Jean!!! A typical breakfast - eggs with spinach and cheese, homemade to order waffles - fruit and other bake goods. AND then just when I thought I couldn't eat anything out comes the still warm from the oven coffee cake!!! Stay here - you will want to come back again- we did!

From the arrival everything was special. The owners were on hand and made you feel right at home. That extra touch made this a place I will stay at again. I loved the room. It was comfortable perfect for the week that I stayed. All of the staff was helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.
4.4 on July 28, 2013
A friend and I stayed two nights there. It was exactly as described. The bathroom is downstairs and it on the 3rd floor of a very old historical home in the center of Provincetown. The steps were steep and small to get to the bathroom. Other than that it is exactly what I expected it would be. It was a pleasant surprise to have such a great made-to-order breakfasts and very friendly hosts. The room was quiet and it was super convenient to the ferry and the town hot spots. We had a great time. Like all the places in Ptown, it is not like staying in a fancy, modern hotel. But for Ptown, it was better than other places I've stayed and if were looking for another B&B I would consider staying there again. The beds were great. I wish they would have had water accessible 24-7.

We stayed at Gabriel's for the very first time last week. The property is just a 2 minute walk to Commercial Street, so you're close to the fun but far enough away to be quiet in the evenings. We stayed in the Grace room, which is a very cute space, and overall was a good size for 2 people. The bed (Tempurpedic) was very comfortable. The property itself was beautiful, and the hosts (the 2 Elizabeths and their son Chris) were wonderful hosts. The rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and breakfast was always delicious and made to order. I do have 3 "warnings" specific to the Grace room, however. The bathroom is very very small. If you're a person of size (over 200# or over 5'10"), the shower stall will be too small for comfort, and the kitchen sink will be more convenient than the bathroom one for anything you do. Secondly, while the kitchen does have a good stove, mini fridge, and microwave, there really aren't sufficient cooking utensils or dinner/drinkware. If you plan on cooking and eating meals there, you'd do well to bring some plastic plates, cups, and cutlery, as well as things to cook with such as potholders, spatulas, serving spoons, etc. If you plan on eating out for every meal, then this won't be an issue for you. Lastly, if you're not a morning person, bring a blindfold to sleep in. The bed is positioned right in front of a large, east-facing picture window. There is a paper shade for privacy, but it does nothing to block light. We were awoken at sunrise every day because of the amount of light shining on us. With these things in mind, I would absolutely stay at Gabriel's again, though I would not stay in the Grace room again. We have in fact reserved the Colette room at Gabriel's for our vacation next year!

Stayed here in late May and I can't imagine a better place to stay in P Town. The rooms are huge and beautiful and the location is one block from the main drag where all the restaurants and shops are. Also the breakfast is awesome. If I ever went back to P Town I would stay here again hands down.

We stayed in Ptown for 4 nites and looked on the Women's Innkeepers site for a dog friendly place as we were bringing our puppy for his first visit to Ptown. Not only was Gabrielles at Ashbrooke Inn very accomodating for our puppy they love having dogs . Thanks to both the Elizabeth's and their wonderful staff for a great visit . We will be back .

From the moment one arrives, guests--both human and canine-are warmly welcomed and treated as royalty. Indeed, the two resident Cavalier King Charles Spaniels greeted our guest Cavalier personally...and even tried out the bed we brought for him! Rooms are well-appointed and ample in space. Breakfast offerings are plentiful and can be individualized; the food was delicious. However, perhaps Gabriel's greatest strength is the level of personalized service and the genial generosity of the staff: in an era of cutting corners, Gabriel's regularly provides more than one expects, whether it be a tin of chocolates on the table or a water dish on the floor for the dog. The establishment is just a block's walk away from busy Commercial Street, but the peace and quiet of this Bradford Street enclave was most appreciated. This will definitely be our place for any future stays in Provincetown.

We couldn't have picked a better place to stay for our one night in P-town. The room was amazing, staff was spectacular, breakfast was wonderful, and overall it was a great pick!! Definitely recommend it for your stay in P-town!

Location is excellent. Everything, I mean every detail is attended to. Owners/staff are lovely people who truly want you to have a comfortable and memorable stay. The suite we stayed in was very very clean. Breakfast is delightful. The courtyard is beautiful. You will not be disappointed.

The Elizabeth's and Christopher made us feel welcome immediately, it was almost like checking in at home. The property and atmosphere was beautiful. Easy location and good parking.

Room was spacious, well appointed, the dog was very happy, too. Lots of secluded outdoor space even though it's right on Bradford. Delicious breakfast spread. The only complaint is that there is only one spot to load and unload and it was taken both times. Actual parking is about a 5 minute walk away.

Gabriel's is by far my favorite place to stay in P'town. Our room had a kitchenette and lots of extras (2-person jacuzzi, utensils, cutting board, wine glasses, coffee, almond milk, a fridge/freezer, and lots of other extras). We really felt pampered and comfy because Gabriel's had thought of everything! We even spent one night down in the common room looking at old books and playing board games while listening to some great 1940s music. WONDERFUL place!

Despite the rain, we actually had a wonderful time. Much of the highlight of our vacation was the warmth, friendliness and competence of the owners, Elizabeth and Elizabeth Brooke. Each of the staff, which includes housekeeping, cooks and maintenance, were friendly, and always happy to help. We have stayed at Gabriel's before, each time in a different room, and they have all been wonderful. Our last visit was in the General Sullivan suite, and it was the absolute best... an actual apartment, which was the perfect sanctuary for comfort and rest on those gloomy days. Somehow, during our prior visits, we have never met our Inkeepers. This time not only did we meet Elizabeth and Elizabeth, we feel that we have made new friends... quite sincerely! We are hoping to return sometime in October, and look forward to revisiting our home away from home, and seeing Elizabeth and Elizabeth (and their son, Chris, too)! The dilemma is, which beautiful room will be choose? Linda R., Hastings-On-Hudson, NY (6/26/13 - 7/1/13)

Our room was well-prepared and Gabriel's was right in the middle of town. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The room (Virginia Wolf) was well kept and the service was great. Elizabeth and Elizabeth were very helpful and made sure we had everything we wanted.

My fiancée and I had the best time at Gabriel's. Everyone is beyond friendly, the location is perfect - the rooms and the grounds are spectacular! We already loved Provincetown, but now we have even more reason to go back - we will stay here again!!

My husband and I had such an incredible stay at Gabriel's!! It was gorgeous, our room was so clean and adorable, the staff was so friendly and helpful and the morning breakfast went above and beyond! If we return to Provincetown I wouldn't stay anywhere else, this place has so much charm and is an absolute must!!

Right in the heart of town, within walking distance to everything, this cozy bed and breakfast provided everything anyone would need in order to sustain a weekend away. The staff was pleasant and willing to help no matter what.

No detail was left undone. Our stay at Gabriel's Inn was first rate. Can say enough about this very special B&B in Provincetown, MA. Firstly, the location is perfect, a few steps from the center of town, yet the setting felt like a spot in Provence. Our room was spectacular, the bedding luxurious and a fully equipped kitchen. Really, how many bathrooms have floor heaters? As I said, the attention to detail was impressive. Breakfasts, either in the Great Room or meditative garden were delicious and plentiful. Of course, the centerpiece of Gabriel's is the staff who couldn't have been more helpful and gracious. Eagerly looking forward to our next visit! 5 Stars Plus!

We just returned from 5 days at this wonderful bed & breakfast. The hosts, Elizabeth, Elizabeth Brooke, and Christopher, made us feel right at home from the second we arrived. We stayed in a pet friendly large well appointed room. The room was absolutely immaculate and had a beautiful kitchen and luxury bathroom with jacuzzi tub and seperate shower. The daily breakfasts are delicious and made to order. Jean, the delightful chef, bent over backwards to make our moring breakfast superb! The location of the property is absolutely ideal. You are steps from the central part of Commercial Street. We will absolutely be back next summer!

Super value, great location, fantastic breakfast & service, rooms were clean and nicely decorated, the garden/outside sitting area was beautiful and very Zen. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. The community room was very relaxing and the coffee/tea station was super including cookies too! This B&B is a real value, especially if you are looking for a relaxed space with a diverse cross section of guest. The owner and her staff are delightful. I would highly recommend this Inn for a relaxing weekend or extended stay.

We had such a nice stay at Gabriel's. It was my husband and I's 5 year anniversary and we chose this place based on other great reviews we had seen. Everyone was so kind who worked there. There was a beautiful courtyard to sit in and eat breakfast. It was a very peaceful spot. The rooms were lovely and it seemed that they had thought of everything you might need or want. We hope to go back here again and definitely recommend it to others.

We loved our stay at Gabriel's and are so happy we found them through an internet search a couple months before our vacation. It's a great location -- very convenient to wharf, shops, restaurants, bars, etc., -- great rooms, excellent breakfast each morning and friendly and accommodating owners and staff. When we had a problem with our unit's air conditioning, they immediately took care of us. We would recommend Gabriel's highly to anyone traveling to Provincetown.

Simply the best place to stay in Provincetown. Service was excellent, rooms were immaculate, and location was perfect. Value for the money unmatched. Will absolutely be back in the near future.

I so enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were clean and had everything you could imagine. The service was great, but in no way did I feel like they were all over the place- in our space. They were quick to offer anything you needed. Breakfast was amazing. Different each day, made to order, and organic. It was really tasty full of flavor. The gardens were so romantic beautiful by day and romantic by night. Definitely walk through them by night. You'll feel the enchantment. I loved the staff they were personable and gave great suggestions about where to go. I would stay here a million times over. I loved our experience Kristin Larose

Our room, Jane Goodall, was beautiful and comfortable. Reason I gave 4/5 was the noise. It is on a very busy street, so I had to wear earplugs. I would suggest asking for a room in the back if noise bothers you. Location is 5 stars. Right in the middle of PTown. Never drove the car while there. The breakfast wasn't quite as good as other B&Bs I've stayed at, but it was adequate. We asked for another helping of scrambled eggs, and it was no problem. They are extremely friendly and go out of their way to please you.
5 on June 05, 2013
We read wonderful reviews of Gabriel's and the place was as beautiful as the pictures. It was so charming, clean and felt like we were at someone's home. The staff were all so friendly, gracious and attentive and the breakfast was wonderful!

Been to Provincetown many times but never stayed at Gabriel's before. It was lovely and the breakfasts were excellent. Elizabeth and Elizabeth were delightful and all the help were friendly and accomodating. Our room (Hope) was adorable and appointed very well but a bit too small for two adults andntwo dogs. Next time we will stay in a larger room. Location was perfect. The only drawback for us is that parking is located a distance from the hotel and we like to use our car for extra "storage". Other than that it was perfect and we will stay there again.

Beginning with the reservation to the last moment of our stay, Gabriels' was fantastic! . Being welcomed with kindness and a big smile started the journey on a very rainy day. Christopher, The Elizabeth's and Jean made the week a most amazing "adventure". The room was "gorgeous", VERY clean and extremely comfortable. The Tempur-Pedic beds, and " My Pillow" made for a peaceful night's sleep. A top notch bathroom with a heated bathroom floor, granite counter tops, beautiful kitchen areas, stunning decor~made the "inside" experience awesome. Breathtaking! Service was better than anywhere else I have ever stayed, they made us feel welcome and at home. Breakfast was in the "Great Room" which was a fitting name! We met so many nice people each morning, sitting at the most "magic table", where no one could feel lonely and everyone became fast friends. Chef Jean was so warm and friendly, she made us laugh each morning and leaving us wanting more ( of her food AND her funny antics!) The food was wonderful! We are hooked on Gabriel's and know for sure that this is our new " Home away from Home" in P'Town. We cannot wait to go back!! Thank you Elizabeth and Elizabeth! What a wonderful world you have created and allowed us to fit into.See you very soon~ Dee and Terry

This was the best B&B that we stayed in during our recent 7 week vacation in the US. Elizabeth and Elizabeth were awesome and Christopher went above and beyond helping us move our overweight luggage around the property. This location was close to everything, the breakfast was to die for. We would highly recommend this property and will stay there again on our next trip.

Gorgeous rooms, comfortable bed, great light, good amenities, lovely garden, wonderful breakfast, nice touches like beach chairs and umbrellas and DVDs to check out. My only complaint is that I stayed on a room situated right on the road and it was a bit noisy. But this stay far exceeded my expectations, and I can't say enough good things about the hosts.

Beautiful rooms and super clean! The bathroom in Laurel is worth for paying a little extra. Location is fantastic, in the heart of Provincetown and close to a pet relief park and a dog-friendly beach. I enjoyed my stay so much that I would travel to P-town just to stay at Gabriel's!
5 on May 11, 2013
We have been going to Gabriel's for years and absolutely love the place. The rooms are magnificent, the breakfast scrumptious, the hosts like family, and the guests we meet become good friends. We cannot say enough good about this bed and breakfast. Our Tibetan terrier loves is, as does our 14-year-old daughter. Gabriel's outdoes itself every time.

Where to start? First, warm, friendly and helpful service. Second, attention to detail - our room had all we could have wanted - overall comfort; fireplace, deck with the promised view of the Pilgrim Monument - right down to labeled light switches. Photos and detailed descriptions on Gabiel's website allow you to see and choose your room. The garden offers lovely nooks in which to relax. Did I mention the breakfast? It's a subtantial and tasty meal to send you on to whatever you plan to do with your day in Provincetown. We love Provincetown. We will ba back. And we will stay at Gabriel's.

5 on May 01, 2013
My husband, my daughter (home on break from university), and I (and our border collie!) had a wonderful weekend at Gabriel's. We stayed in a "condo," the Sullivan room, and it was beautiful and spacious and had everything we needed. There was a park right outside our window to take our dog, and our daughter enjoyed her space on the sleep sofa with a great gas fireplace. The owners--Elizabeth and Elizabeth--were so friendly, welcoming, and had interesting family history on the walls in the dining room. The breakfast was amazing-- lots of options and omelets cooked to order. I hope I have the chance to return, and our younger daughter (who was on a youth trip that weekend) is eager to come along next time!

We stayed in the Susan Room in April with our dog. Very polite, down-to-earth, and welcoming staff and owners. The entrance to the Inn and their community dining room were very inviting, clean, and historically decorated, and the most dog-friendly bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in! Even after checking out of our room, the owners welcomed us to stop back in later that day for a snack and a place to re-coop before heading out of Provincetown. When we visit Provincetown in the future, Gabriel's is definitely where we'll be staying.

A small group of us booked three rooms at Gabriel's this weekend. Everyone was pleased with their room (especially me...I stayed in the room titled Willow), the breakfast, and the ease of check-in and check-out. The location can't be beat. It's a two minute walk to Commerical St. and the water/beach. Elizabeth was also helpful in recommending sites to visit, restaurants (The Red Inn for dining), etc. I would recommend a stay if you're in Provincetown.

We stay here at least once a year and it gets better each time. Central location, friendly environment, impeccably clean and very pet friendly. Enjoy a cookie (and hot apple cider in season) when you return from your day out, wake up to the scent of a hearty breakfast and chat with the owners or staff during the day. You will know you are on vacation.

I have been wanting to stay at Gabriel's for a very long time and was excited when the chance finally came. The first two nights I stayed in Christopher, which is a very bright and airy space with high ceilings and is right on Bradford Street but not at all noisy. The bed is Tempurpedic (I think all the beds at Gabriel's are) and queen-sized. The bathroom is very compact, but not too tight. The shower had wonderful water pressure. The third night I was delighted to be moved to Sarah which is one of the best rooms at the Inn. This room is towards the back of the property and had a king bed, a private entrance, lots of windows, a spacious bathroom, and a gas fireplace heating unit. My only slight quibble is the shower -- while it's huge and could be quite wonderful, there's not much water pressure. That said, it's a minor note among many delightful ones. All of the staff were friendly, helpful, and just plain fun to be around. Breakfast each morning was super tasty and prepared to order. I'm very much looking forward to staying there again the next time I'm in P-town!!

Went in the winter when rates were really low and had a wonderful time!! My husband and I brought our dog and they were incredibly accommodating with a very small extra charge. Beautiful town with lots to do. The room was great and had some great extra features and breakfast in the morning was so nice!!!!!

Upon arriving we were upgraded to the one bedroom Sullivan room which was beautiful. It featured a gas fireplace and a full kitchen. The staff and service was top notch and breakfast was delicious every morning. First time in ptown off season and Gabrielle's made it extremely special. We will definately be back soon! Jason

Pleasantly surprised with room, amenities and proximity to town (walking). Grounds very nice, peaceful and relaxing. Pet friendly with reasonable fee. Parking a bit of an issue but arrangements made to unload and park within 100 yds. Would definitely return to stay again.

I stayed at Gabriel's this passed weekend and couldn't wait to get back to write this review. I don't think I've ever stayed at a cleaner, more beautiful place. It is so obvious that the staff really care about your comfort, as their attention to home-like detail is unmatched. The staff their, Christopher, Elizabeth and Elizabeth are so friendly and engaging. They were the exact opposite of the feigned, scripted responses you get from hotel staff. I stayed in the Dorothea Dix room and it was, in a word -- immaculate. There were so many accents worked into the background of the place, that made it so much more enjoyable. I especially loved how they piped in ragtime jazz and blues through the common room, that could also go to YOUR room. Elizabeth also made breakfast for all the patrons, complete with pastries and everything else. I felt more at home there, then I did my actual home. I can't wait to go back and highly recommend gabriels to any and everyone.

I think the title of my post says it all. The rooms are very warm and welcoming. We stayed at the inn (as opposed to the condos) and the room that we stayed at exceeded our expectations. The bed was extremely comfortable (tempurpedic). The room also included a beautiful skylight, plenty of windows, light hardwood floors, a fireplace, a refrigerator, microwave, and a jacuzzi. The outside area is also very friendly, with a fish pond, places to walk your pets, balconies, and a mini outdoor fireplace. The staff members were also very friendly, and it was clear that they truly wanted to get to know each and every one of their guests. The location is perfect. It is one block up from Commerce St., shopping, restaurants, and the bay. It is also a short drive from Race Point Beach and Herring Cove (great for sunsets). It is close enough to everything, but far away enough to get plenty of peace and quiet. Also, being near the watch tower, it's easy to find from afar :) Breakfast REALLY impressed me. It is served from 8am-10am daily, and there is a wide variety of breakfast food and drinks (coffee/decaff coffee, orange juice, V8, english muffins, pastries, etc.), as well as food that is made to order (pancakes, waffles, eggs, etc.). I will definitely recommend this to others and would love to stay again! Thank you, folks at Gabriel's, for a welcoming stay!

We spent three nights in the newly renovated "Olivia" room in early March and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was full of light and spirit and good care. The small kitchen and dining area in the room made it easy to "eat in" and the new jacuzzi steam shower was a dream. The guest hosts during our stay were incredibly warm and convivial, full of good stories and conversation making. They helped chase away the gray and rainy skies and brought good humor to the virtues of winter. Highly recommended -- a special value in off-peak season -- well worth it!

I would definitely recommend Garbiel's to anyone traveling to traveling to Provincetown.

I cannot say enough complimentary things about Gabriel's. This most recent visit was our third annual and has become a tradition. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you feel as comfortable and welcome as they can. The rooms are very nicely appointed and welcoming. Breakfast in the morning while being full service, is relaxed and informal, you feel like you are staying with friends you have known your whole life. For us, one of the main selling points on the whole experience is being able to include our dogs. I honesly think being at Gabriel's feels like a vacation for them as well, and they are as welcomed and included as we are instead of just being mearly tolerated. Gabriel's has provided extra mats, bowls, and waste bags for us knowing that our dogs were on their way. If all that wasn't good enough, the location is within walking distance of all the beaches, shopping, and fine dining you could hope for from a Cape Cod vacation. We will be back next year, if not sooner!

We always spend a few days in Provincetown to hike on the beach after Christmas. Gabriel's is a favorite. Lovely people, well managed, very friendly and they welcome dogs. We stayed in the "Christopher" room. The weather was very cold and unfortunately the heater in the room did not work very well so I did not give the room the highest ra.ting. Breakfast is made to order and excellent. Location could not be better. Will probably return next year

Hot breakfast was made to order and coffee and pastries were also available. The staff was friendly and catered to our needs.

The Elizabeth’s and their Chief went above and beyond to accommodate my wife gluten and daily intolerance. When we arrived there was a bag full of goodies that were gluten and dairy free. That was so unexpected and made us feel sooooo welcomed. We will be back for sure as this was our 2nd stay. Keep up the good work!!!

We have been going here for the past 12 years and it never gets old and it's the one big get-a-way a year that we look forward to. We have 4 children and when we go here, all we do is relax and unwind with no children away. They pamper us and make us feel so relaxed with the wine and cheese in the afternoon and fresh baked cookies in the evening, and not to forget the full breakfast in the mornings. If you want a place to go where the atmosphere is calm, relaxing and the staff treat you like family...this is the place to go. We will always call Gabriels our home away from home.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Gabriel's. The dog-friendly room was neat as a pin, and full of amenities for all of us - a bed, treats, and even dishes for our dog, and a great little kitchenette. Especially in the off-season, this was a great value. The Elisabeths and their staff also make a really great breakfast!

My husband and I traveled to Provincetown for the Thanksgiving holidays. In years past, we had gone to the Cape annually for years, staying at the home of a personal friend, who passed away a few years ago. We chose Gabriel's for a stay last year in a quest to "reclaim" our Provincetown tradition, at the recommendation of a colleague, and because they are "pet-friendly." That was our first stay, and we liked it so well that we chose Gabriel's again this year. The Inn has a warm, elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms we've stayed in (Laurel and Susan) are beautiful and spacious, with high-quality toiletries in well-appointed bathrooms. Both had kitchens and washing machines, and would be excellent for extended stays. When we brought our dog with us, there was a dogbed, bowls, and treats waiting for him. The gardens are lovely, and the breakfasts are delicious. The location in Provincetown is excellent--just a short jog from the middle of Commercial Street--parking is provided. The staff are helpful and friendly and also very professional. Both times we've stayed there, we've left something in our room and it was immediately mailed back to us. The owners, Elizabeth and Elizabeth Brooke, deserve special mention. They take the time to make every guest feel personally welcome. Although they are far from intrusive, one feels they really care about each guest and that their solicitude is quite genuine. It is not surprising to me that so many guests are returnees. It is my pleasure to recommend Gabriel's highly.

Provincetown was awfully close to rolling up it's sidewalks for the season when we stayed at Gabriel's. My wife and I decided to see if we could squeeze a little more life out of P-town and were surprised to find a lot of it at Gabriel's . It was very cold (late November) and we were glad they are so close to downtown. The owners are amazing people who spend a lot of time with their guests. They are filled with great stories and wonderful suggestions to guide you to the local highlights, even this late in the season. Breakfast was cook to order and served in minutes. The room had a great fireplace to keep us warm and many other amenities. We will definitely be coming back next year.

Really comfortable and homey with a wonderful garden area. Situated next to public park and within walking distance to restaurants. Parking is a challenge but easy and free in the off season. Breakfast is fresh and made in the open kitchen and dining area. Owners are there and couldn't be nicer or more eager to please with visitor recommendations.

I titled this Home for the Holidays because the best part of Gabriel's is the way the owners, the staff and the other guests make one feel like part of the family. The kitchen staff are just wonderful. They make you feel like you are at your favorite grandmother's house and your are their favorite grandchild. Does it get any better than that? Besides, the breakfast is wonderful - satisfying and nutritious and as little or as much as you would like to eat. We were there for Thanksgiving and the atmosphere of the common rooms and the rooms are cozy and comfortable - an inviting place to come home to after a bracing day outside in cold.

This was a very very small room. There were some issues with our stay but have been taken care of. Elizabeth and Elizabeth are wonderful. I would encourage anyone to stay here.

Friendly, welcoming establishment. Comfortable rooms and homey feel. The staff is great and they offer yummy goodies. Tea, coffee, and cookies in the afternoon as well as a scrumptious breakfast. We will be going back!

I recently stayed at Gabriel's for my sister's wedding and it couldn't have been a better time! Due to the number of people invited to the wedding, our family and the guests would up taking every room, so we essentially had Gabriel's entirely to ourselves. The rooms were charming and much bigger than I would have thought. My husband, son and I stayed in the Susan room and it was perfect. Our son slept on the pull-out couch, which was quite comfortable. And there was even a washer/dryer in the room in case that was needed.

Can't say enough about this place!!!!! LOVE, LOVE , LOVE it!!!

Everything about our stay was perfect,. The breakfast had just about anything that you would want.

We were recently able to rent out the entire bed and breakfast for our wedding weekend. It was so special to have everyone we love near us, and still be able to provide everyone their own space to relax. The Elizabeths were great to correspond with and were very gracious to open up their home to us! Their staff is more than accommodating and went above and beyond in every way possible. Having this place as a main part of our wedding was one of the best choices we could have made. The grounds were beautiful for pictures and the rooms are great - especially the showers! Only wish we could've stayed longer. We definitely recommend Gabriel's for a quick weekend away or for a major event!!

It's a village, an enclave and it is warm and friendly. So many different rooms. I would recommend to my friends and will come back. Thanks.

Gabriel's never disappoints, it consistently exceeds expectations. The proprietors place a great deal of importance on making you feel welcome, and anticipating your every need. They wrote the book on the true meaning of hospitality. Every employee is courteous and accommodating. So refreshing! The rooms are beautifully appointed, up-to-date, clean, and comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and luxurious. Well outfitted kitchens or kitchenettes allow you to stay "home" without missing out. Pets are celebrated, not just tolerated at Gabriel's. Companions routinely receive an extra dose of mushiness from employees and other guests. If you feel like having a retreat from your life, this is the place to do it. You will want for nothing, right down to the complimentary homemade cookies in the afternoon. Great job, Elizabeth and Elizabeth! I will look forward to another visit as soon as possible. Lisa A.

We had a great weekend at Gabriel's for a wonderful couples wedding. The room was pristine and the grounds were beautiful. The staff was very accomodating for our large group both at breakfast and letting us have a cocktail party there on Friday. The room we stayed in was just upstairs from the breakfast room, and we did hear a lot of noise in the morning, but our group was also quite loud...so might not be a problem on a regular weekend. Really enjoyed ptown and our great weekend there!

My sister selected Gabriels as the family-friendly option for her wedding guests and we are so glad we stayed there!! Elizabeth & Elizabeth were so welcoming. Kay & Christopher were ready to help with our every need. The rooms were beautifully appointed, charming & comfortable. The grounds are unique and were a perfect backdrop for pre-wedding photos. Would love to come back in the summer and enjoy the gardens. Will definitely return - hopefully with friends!

This was a great place to stay! Adorable, comfortable and walking distance to the center of town. The one thing I would have liked was a bit more explaination of deposits when making my reservation and instructions on check out processes. One of the better Inns I have stayed at.
Thank you for this review! We are sorry you were not clear about our deposit procedure. We try to be a paperless office and do send receipts via email with deposit and balance information included. Our deposit policy is also posted on our site. We will look into our check out process and trust it will be easier for you next time. We are are happy you enjoyed your stay!

We love Gabriel's, the location is great for Provincetown. We always stay here when we come to Provincetown. There is such a relaxed feeling to this place. The owners and staff make it special. Every room we have stayed in is clean and comfortable. The beds are the best and the bathrooms, they are amazing, luxury. We can't wait to come back. N & P

Having lived in Florida for the past 25 years, we were quuite excited to be visiting P-town again!! It has been a very long time since staying at Gabriel's! It was a fabulous, yet short, 3 days! The Inn is absolutely wonderful. The food and service is excellent. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, especially Chris! He gave us all kind of tips wherever we saw him in town and he oriented us to the Inn beautifully: especially on how to lock the door! It was so great to be a block away from everything!! There is no better place to stay! We cannot wait until we go back for another visit. Hopefully this time it won't be 25 years!

Our stay at Gabriel's was exactly what we had hoped for and even better... From the moment of arrival until our reluctant departure it was a real pleasure. This was a longed-for Fall Getaway and the Elizabeth Duo certainly delivered a perfect respite! We never really get to bring our four-legged buddy along on our trips but always try to include him in on the Fall Adventure and Gabriel's was THE BEST place we have ever stayed with him. It was obvious they don't just tolerate pets (like some establishments) but they really welcome them and help the owner to feel comfortable bringing them along. Two criteria for recommendation: Would we stay there again? YES! Would we recommendation it to others? YES!!! Thanks again! Rocky's Two Dads

I have been at this location on more than several occasions and have concluded it to be the best place to stay. The entire staff and owners are extremely cordial and friendly and there is nothing they would not do to make your stay the best ever. Although there are other good locations, I cannot foresee staying any other place. The last time I visited, I stayed an extra day, thanks to Elizabeth Ann finding another room to accommodate my wishes. I can't wait for a return visit in the spring/summer.

We have been to Provincetown many times but never spent the night. We are so happy our first overnight was at Gabriel's - it was wonderful and well beyond our expectations! Our room (Ariel - AKA the 'treehouse','was delightful!! It was spacious, airy, bright and very comfortable. Every nook and cranny was utilized well and it was nicely decorated. Our service was exceptional from the moment we arrived. Chris who showed us to our room was very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed not only the scrumptious breakfast made to order but the company and conversation with the two Elizabeths and guests in the Great Room! Gabriel's location was also great - walking distance to shopping and restaurants and ocean! We would recommend Gabriel's to all and would love to to come again!

Everything about Gabriel's is always the loveliest of experiences, and it's a real treat to come and to stay! Thank you! We last stayed in WILLOW, and I could live in that room! The breakfasts were delicious, accomodating, and delightful. And everyone we always meet there are great! Can't wait to return next year. We make sure to mark this annually on our calendars!

I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience I had a t Gabriel's. I felt like I was staying with family. The daily breakfast was amazing and the inn keepers and staff are fun, happy, kind, and so friendly. They set the tone and the guests become a part of their small community. It was truly a lovely experience. I wnated to move in permanently. I will always stay at Gabriel's when I am in Provincetown, MA, and you should too.

The visit was great and I highly recommend Laurel! The window seat is the best perch in the place, the shower is to die for and for breakfast I have no words. Love coffee if you are visiting Gabriel's because theirs is sublime!

The owners and stafff were warm, caring and attentive to our needs. They shared the history of the Inn and were easy to talk with. We all loved our rooms and were pleasantly surprised with the uniquness. We made a pact to spend a weekend at Gabriel's next year! We can not say enough good things about the Inn, Great choice of Inn for our get together!
5 on October 09, 2012
We had such a great experince at Gabriel's! The rooms are cozy and neat. The patio/garden was beautiful and we utilized that area frequently. The breakfast was out of this world. I can't say enough about what a wonderful experince we had. I highly recommend Gabriel's if you are staying in Provincetown!

We have been going to Gabriel's for many years. While the breakfast has always been good, this year the chef is extraordinary. Wonderful home fries and the best omelet and pancakes. The room was comfortable with coffee and bed and bowl for our dog. Really a great place to stay in Provincetown.

We found this inn through an online search and were so happy with our stay. Excellent location between Town Hall and Pilgrim's Monument allows a walk to everywhere. Super comfy room with charming bathroom ... and bathrobes were an unexpected perk. The breakfast was fabulous! Great food and company - different offerings every morning. The corn fritters - what a treat! Lovely back deck with koi pond and waterfall to break fast upon. (weather permitting :) )
4.6 on October 07, 2012
I cannot say enough about the Laurel. Two fireplaces, a window seat (I love window seats; one of those things I lamented over not having as a child), a whirlpool tub, and an amazing, awe-inspiring, incredible (can you tell I can't say enough about it?) rainfall/steam/water-hits-you-from-every-angle shower. There are televisions in every room, a table with extensions in case you have company, a washer and dryer, and one of the best small refrigerators I've ever used (when you turn it all the way up, it actually freezes things! Amazing concept!). The room was relatively quiet, though I'm not sure how it would be during warmer times. It's directly across from the kitchen, and I'm sure you'd be able to hear a lot of activity outside with people eating breakfast. But I would still book this room over and over if I had the chance, so that would not sway me. There is a room above the Laurel, and someone was staying in it, but we never heard anything. We brought our dog, Captain Awesome, to enjoy Pet Appreciation Weekend for the second time in a row, and Captain received his own special amenities. These included two beds, Buddy Biscuits, his own bowls, and an adorable poop bag dispenser (we were very tempted to bring it home!). I didn't indulge in breakfast, but if I were a breakfast lover, they provide all the fixings for a good breakfast. Great place to stay. We will never consider staying anywhere else in Provincetown.

Everything was excellent; the staff, food, location, and attention to detail. A warm atmosphere. You really felt like you were at home. My only complaint which is probably my fault is that I assumed the jacuzzi in the room was a full sized jacuzzi. However it's a small one fitting only one person.
4.8 on October 03, 2012
The Inn was lovely. The room was bright, airy and cozy. The bed was comfy and dreamy. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Coming home in the evening to sit in the Great room and sip a cup of tea was a delight. The location could not have been more convenient. We will definitely be back to Gabriel's on our next visit to Provincetown. We're not sure we'd even like to try anyplace else.

We found Gabriel's to be very conviniently placed. It gave us access to everything in town we were interested in. In addition, the staff was friendly, welcoming and just plain fun. The room was lovely and with the kitchenette it was a nice cozy place to get back to for a cup of tea or a warm treat when the rain got to be too much. A perfect weekend for us.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Gabriel's. The room was spacious yet cozy, the breakfasts were great, and the location hard to beat. The only issue was the bells of the clock tower at the Town Hall across the street woke us up several times during the night.

When I decided to take a vacation alone with my dog, I wanted a place where I was in town and felt safe. I got that and much, much more. The Elizabeth's and Christopher are fantastic and always there to help make your vacation perfect. They gave me suggestions for eating which was very important since I had my dog. Breakfast on the patio with other guests was lots of fun and amazingly yummy! I couldn't have asked for a friendlier place to stay. I recommend it for anyone coming to Proincetown who wants a very special vacation. I will be going back, again and again!

What a super-friendly place for people and their canines. So convenient to have the park practically outside our door. "Hostesses" and staff were excellent...just the right amount of friendliness without an ounce of pretentiousness. A comfortable and classy establishment. Gardens were beautiful. We hope to return for another pleasant stay and highly recommend.

We enjoyed yet another wonderful week in Provincetown at the only place we will stay! From the daily breakfast choices, to the soothing jaccuzi at the end of the day, we were treated like royalty. The beautifully appointed room contained everything we could ask for. If only our vacation were longer. The reservation for our next stay has already been made! Becky & Sharon - Rochester, NH

First, let me say that we've been to P-Town twice before. Our first time we stayed in a condo, which was newer than Gabriels but looked older, run down, lacked amenities and the convenience of being right in the center of town. Our second time in P-Town, we stayed at a guest house on the west side, which had absolutely no charm, was minimally comfortable and our room was absolutely tiny!! Our hosts were pleasant enough but boring and breakfast was between 7-9am - period. At Gabriels, our room and bath were spacious, charming, well equipped, with windows on three sides and filled with personal touches that made us feel right at home. We felt relaxed the minute we stepped foot onto the property! The room, the bed, the linens, the sofa were all comfortable and very clean, except for the floor (which wasn't dirty but probably hadn't been scrubbed in a while) but then, we have to remember, we're on the Cape and we have our dog with us, so what did we expect? The room was well equipped and lacked nothing. The grounds were well cared for and nothing appeared to be in disrepair. And, you can't find a more convenient location! As much as I could continue to rave about the room and the property, the service topped our every expectation ~ everyone from our hostesses and all of their staff ~ were all friendly, approachable, easy-going, helpful, pet-friendly and very, very welcoming. They obviously love what they are doing and it shows. Our breakfasts were amazing ~ something not to be missed! If you're planning to spend any time in P-Town and whether you enjoy travelling with your pet, this is the place, you won't regret it. We will recommend this wonderful place to our friends and we be back! Alex, Jay & Max

We found Gabriel's many years ago, and have not stayed anywhere else in Provincetown since. We visit at least twice a year, and each visit is just as wonderful as the last. The staff at Gabriel's is top notch, and the breakfast they serve is delicious. Every room is beautifully decorated, and the beds are comfortable with the softest sheets you could ever feel! We consider Gabriel's our "home away from home" and have made lifelong friends. If you want all the comforts of home (and then some), stay at Gabriel's, and bring your pet too!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Gabriel's in Provincetown. The location is perfect, the service was great and the accommodations we had were spectacular. We already inquired about coming back again next year.

We have stayed in many fine places in Provincetown and Gabriel's is the best. Elizabeth, Elizabeth and Christopher and the entire staff make us feel so welcome. Luxurious rooms, sparkling clean with sheets soft as butter. Breakfast made to order with good hot coffee. Lovely restful gardens yet a short walk to everything in town. We schedule our Provincetown vacations so we can stay at Gabriel's.

Elizabeth, Elizabeth and Christopher were incredibly warm and welcoming. The gardens are gorgeous. We found Gabriels because we wanted to bring our dog on a beach vacation. We had a private entrance to an adjacent park that was very convenient. The hosts welcomed our pooch but the staff was skittish. Furnishings are adequate but not inspired. Can't beat the in-town location. We plan to go back next year.

We stayed in Provincetown for Carnival week 2012 and this is the second year I have stayed at Gabriel's. It is a beautiful B&B, comfortable, and exceptional in cleanliness and service. The staff there are so personable and wonderful. The rooms are always light and bright and clean. It's centrally located, but it's nice to be able to retreat back to your room when you want a little peace and quiet or just kick your feet up for a rest. I reccommend this B&B to anyone planning a stay!

My friend and I stayed at Gabriel's at The Ashbrooke Inn during Carnival Week in Provincetown. It was wonderful! Centrally located, with easy access to everywhere in town, and mere blocks away from the ferry dock. We stayed in the Agatha Christie suite, which was perfect for two friends traveling together. And, breakfast every morning was made to order, with delicious options, and such friendly staff. We could not have picked a more perfect place to stay!

Felt like family upon check-in. Beautiful decor, cozy rooms, warm inn-keepers, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast. Gabriel's is just steps away from everything. Who could ask for anything more? Oh, and the daily, fresh baked, cookies didn't hurt. Our first time at Gabriel's - already made reservations to stay again.

This is our second stay at Gabriel's and I belive from here we have started a tradition. We were up for family week and the accomodations were superb. The hospitality we reeived from the staff was beyond our expectations. Breakfast each morning was a true delight. The Inn is conveniently located, private, serine and spacious. Our room was sweet and perfect for both us and our 3 year old. The bonus is that they are extremely child and pet friendly. My only downside was that I wished there was better and more front desk service. In any case, I wouldn't trade this place for any other in town!

Gabriels is right in the heart of everything in Provincetown. We stayed in the "Olivia" room for our honeymoon. The room was fabulous & so was the professionalism of the staff. PLus they serve a hearty breakfast each morning! Our stay at Gabriels was worth every penny!! Love Love Love it!

Overall highly recommended and I'd come back in a heartbeat.

My boyfriend and I stayed on a Monday-Friday and honestly we had a fantastic time from the beginning. The room was so cute and clean and looked brand-new. Service was great. Anything we needed we just asked any of the staff members. The breakfast they served in the morning was so tasty! And there was plenty of everything! Also, the day we were leaving, our car needed a jump and one of the staff members agreed to help us without hesitation! I highly, HIGHLY recommend staying at Gabriel's. When we go back to Cape Cod we will definitely return. Oh, and the fact that they are pet friendly was the icing on the cake.

Our Stay at Gabriel's was outstanding! Not only is this B&B's location perfect, but our room's location was as well. Gabriel's makes sure your stay is comfortable in every way. We traveled with our mini poodle and he too was treated like family! The InnKeepers, Elizabeth and Elizabeth, thought of everything! They not only stock your room with the typical toiletries, such as shampoo, and conditioner, but also supply toothpaste, shower cap, 2 spa robes, an iron, small adequate fridge, plates, bowls, glasses, silverware, corkscrew, dog bowls, dog bed, a sheet to cover the bed so that your pooch doesn't soil the beautiful comforter (brilliant!), and if you should need an umbrella, beach chairs, etc. they are all there for you to borrow if you should forget anything. The breakfast each day was amazing too! Elizabeth (we only met the one Elizabeth), and her son Christopher, are available, wonderful, and approachable InnKeepers, and their staff are friendly too! During breakfast, the staff is ready to serve you the moment you enter the "Great Room," and will spoil you like you are family. Needless to say, we will definitely be booking our next summer vacation at Gabriel's! Love, Love, Love it!

Kirk in the breakfast room was exceptionally polite and friendly. Two other females also working in the breakfast room were very polite and friendly. I never saw or spoke to the cook but they did a marvelous job. my room was small, the "Hope" room and i knew it would be, but it was full of features, very cute, and had details and everything I could've needed. The water in the shower had a lot of pressure and was as hot as I wanted it. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets were extremely soft. exterior: The flowers, rock gardens, benches, fire pit, little pond with fish and waterfall are enchanting. figurines of nymphs, frogs, mushrooms, little doors leading to imaginary rooms are scattered about. A/C and TV worked great. and even though the room is close to street, noise was never a problem for me. I'll definitely stay there again.

Myself and 2 friends stayed at Gabriel's in Provincetown for several days in July. I have tried several other B&B's in PTown over the years - but Gabriel's stands out in several areas. The cooked to order breaskfasts are truly outstanding - best I've had anywhere; the grounds are gorgeous - you would not know that you are in the center of a busy town; our rooms was great - great location; great amenities (Tempurpedic bed!) and I can rave enough about the shower. We already booked for another visit next year.

Gabriels is exactly as described. We stayed in the Olivia the room was wonderful. The room was clean, neat and updated.Flatscreen tv in each room.Wonderful smell when you walk into the hallway and the room. The linens were impeccable. We consider ourselves hotel snobs and we were pleasantly surprised. We were skeptical because it is a bed and breakfast but it was amazing. We arrived a bit after 7PM and the office closes promptly at 7PM. But our envelope with our room information was waiting for us at the door and while unloading we ran into one of the Elizabeth's (owners) walking her dog Ms Popper. She was very very nice and suggested a place for us to eat dinner ourside that night (since it was wonderful weather). She also told us breakfast would be between 8:30AM and 10:00AM tomorrow. She also congratulated us on our marriage (It was nice she remembered since we mentioned it when we booked our room almost 6 months ago once in an email). We decided to try the breakfast everyone raves about the next morning. OH MY GOODNESS.The breakfast was incredible for each and every day we stayed at Gabriel's.The service was wonderful and the food was amazing.Staff is very personable, friendly and accommodating. We made arrangements to pay the balance of our stay in cash when we arrived and instructions clearly state when you book if you do not arrive before the office closes the balance will be applied to the credit card you used to make your reservation.Well in the morning we met Elizabeth #2 and we mentioned to her we assumed the balance was put through onto our credit card last night since we arrived after the office closed and she said no we waited since we knew you wanted to pay cash.I thought that was great since they had every night to run it through. We will stay ONLY at Gabriel's when we visit Ptown in the future as the breakfast is worth the stay and the room is amazing and we rate this stay a 5. My girlfriend and I recently planned a trip to Boston during the July 4th celebration. Since my girlfriend had never been to PTown or Boston I couldn't wait for her to experience both. Our expectations while in PTown were exceeded by a country mile. The staff at Gabriel's makes you feel welcome from the minute you make your reservations. Both Elisabeth's were gracious hostess. Their staff was extremely warm and willing to adjust the menu for my girlfriends food allergies. The Inn is beautiful and well maintained. I provides a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for those weary from shopping or sight seeing all day. If you are considering a stay in PTown I highly recommend Gabriel's. We are already planning our next trip back.

We can't even count how many times we've stayed at Gabriel's. It is the only place we stay in P-town. It is our home away from home. Everyone there is so welcoming. The staff couldn't have been better. Every year they out due themselves with the breakfasts..... The gardens are more beautiful than the past year....The rooms are always being updated, Everytime we arrive both Elizabeth's greet you with a smile. What more could you want..... Going on vacation to P-town is something we look forward to every year, and staying at Gabriel's is the topping to an absolutely fantastic time.....

So close to shops and restaurants. The Elizabeths have created an outstanding place to stay.

The owners of Gabriel's, The Elizabeths, are wonderful hostesses! They often come down for breakfast to meet and greet their guests. Their staff is beyond description. They are courteous, helpful and respectful. They have a breakfast full of wonderful daily surprises and everything is made fresh and to order. The location, which is a block away from Commercial Street, allows for convenience to shops and restaurants while allowing for peace and quiet when you return to the Inn. It's a must stay!!

I've stayed on the Cape many times though never in the heart of Provincetown. We choose Gabirel's to stay at and could not have been happier. You truly are close to everything; downtown, the water, the East End, the West End- yet being one street behind Commercial Ave and next to a park made Gabriel's quieter and a little more hidden. The room was perfect, with thoughtful touches like our own Keurig, a tin of chocolates, and robes. Every staff member I encountered was very friendly. My boyfriend has already asked if we can stay there again. I highly recommend.

Well maintained and great breakfast. The owners were helpful and accommodating.

Relaxing atmosphere, ideal location and easy walking distance to all Provincetown attractions. Breakfasts were bountiful, freshly prepared and very tasty. Common, well landscaped courtyard fostered interactive discussions between guests. Gabriel's has all the modern day amenities with a 1940's tempo making it a perfect landing pad for a few days.

Great location and amazing amenities! It provided the perfect backdrop for our weekend away. The room was cozy and had everything we could have wanted. The porch was an added bonus! Staff were friendly and helpful.

This B&B was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were clean and tidy, the breakfast was always delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. Its less than a minute walk to Commercial Street where all the shops and restaurants are. If you're taking a trip to Provincetown, this is the B&B to stay at!

Loved the room but the bathroom was ridiculously small. Location is wonderful; gardens and grounds are lovely.
Thank you for your review. We do have three rooms that, although they are very nice, they do have smaller bathrooms: "Michael", "Hope" and "Christopher". They are in our older building and are appropriately priced below the 13 other rooms that we have that feature larger and very large bathrooms. We hope you will try one of these newer rooms the next time you visit!

Our stay was wonderful and super relaxing! The first couple days of our stay the weather was rainy and very cool. The owners graciously turned on the gas fireplace in our room for us to enjoy since the fireplace had been turned off for the season. Exceptional and unexpected! All the staff made us feel so welcome. We couldn't ask for a better vacation!
Thank you so much for this review. Who knew that we would have a unseasonable cold snap in the middle of June!!! The sun is shining today and it is back to a pleasant 75 degrees so please come back soon!

We recently stayed in the Christopher room for a few nights with our dog. When you walked in, the bright airy room was refreshing to see! A dog bed, bowls and treats for the furry one really made me smile! The room was neat and clean and spacious! The welcome paperwork was so helpful- information about breakfast times, housekeeping, tipping, parking- all things you always want to know but might not think to ask! Really terrific and organized! A lot of special touches! The only downsides were nowhere to really put your luggage (or unpack it really) unless you put them in the closet with the robes and the bathroom is small- can only fit one person at a time. Other than this though, we had a terrific stay! Breakfasts were amazing and freshly prepared, other guests were friendly and overall we loved staying here. We will definitely be back and look forward to a longer stay and experiencing more of what Provincetown has to offer! Thank you for making this a wonderful experience!

Gabriel's has been our home away from home for about seven years. Its comforts and convenience are unbeatable. This year, our hosts went above and beyond to help us when our dog had a little spill-- providing a first aid kit late at night, putting us in touch with their vet the next day, and changing our room reservation to a ground-floor room for the fall. Our dog is doing fine, and we can't wait to go back.

When my family and I arrived in Provincetown it was cold, raining, and three more hours until checkin. I called and Elizabeth told us we could check in now. When we arrived, the room was warm with the fireplace already working! It felt great! The room was beautiful with amenities I had never experienced in a B&B. The staff was very courteous. This was my best B&B experience ever! I will go back again!

After traveling all over the United States we (2 Irish and 1 Scottish girl) arrived at Gabriels without any prior knowledge of the Inn. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. This is a fabulously quaint, yet modern, cosy, yet airy B and B which is as good as we've ever experienced around the world. The rooms are top notch and the friendly atmosphere gives the feeling that every guest is a friend. We only ate breakfast at the Inn but it was good home country cooking with a stylish edge and all served in a warm and welcoming dining room. I certainly will be recommending this B and B to any and everyone I know who is visiting this part of the U.S. Excellent all round.

Great location, exceptionally comfortable beds. Quiet. The bedtime chocolates are a nice touch. Very clean. Friendly, helpful maids and kitchen staff. Small crits: It would have been nice if the young man who took us to our room had at least offered to carry one of my bags up the stairs. Also, I'd prefer room not smelling strongly of bleach upon arrival, though I appreciated its cleanliness.

We visit Provincetown annually for a long weekend during the quiet Spring season. The only place we would ever stay is Gabriel's. The Innkeepers - Elizabeth & Elizabeth - are both warm and friendly, making us feel like family. The Inn has a Great Room where a fabulous breakfast is served by the lovely staffmembers each morning. In addition to yogurt, muffins, danish, cereal and fruit, there is always a hot breakfast (omelet, waffles, pancakes) - made to order. And if you need a midday pick-me-up, there are homebaked cookies on hand. Yummy. Because the Inn is on Bradford Street, one block behind the town's major thoroughfare (Commercial Street), things are quiet at night - perfect for a restful sleep. Of course it's still plenty close so that all dining, bars and attractions are a very short stroll away. Rooms are comfortable, beautifully appointed and spacious. And, if you're not into the nightlife, they have an extensive DVD library for viewing on the state-of-the-art flatscreen TVs (some rooms even have them in the bathroom!). This is a wonderful, wonderful place. I cannot say enough good things about it.

5 on May 10, 2012
Warm and inviting luxury, relaxed and comfortable environment, wonderful owners and welcoming staff. More than pet friendly, Gabriel's at Ashbrooke Inn provides all the creature comforts for all its visitors. As its located near the hub of Ptown culture and public transportation, one can park the car and not see it again until its time to pack up and leave. It is a place to which I and my dog will return time and time again.

4.4 on May 06, 2012
We stayed in "Willow". The room is spacious and very clean. The shower was great w/ many shower heads. There is a kitchen area w/ a fridge and sink which would be great if we were staying longer. We stayed only one night, off season so it was very quiet. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The only drawback is the clock (on the Town Hall?) gonging out the hours throughout the night and wee hours of the morning. If you are a light sleeper it can be a problem.
5 on May 05, 2012
Other guests have commented on the Ashbrooke Inn's propinquity to restaurants (e.g. Jimmy's Hideaway, Lobster Pot) and that was definitely a plus, for, for my boyfriend and me, it was a wonderful escape. We stayed at the Inn in April and I rather liked how quiet P-town was. The room was fabulous. The Elizabeths and Chris were lovely hosts. I've stayed at a few B & B's in the past and what set this place apart from the others is the second "B." At others, the breakfast was satisfactory but not filling, or there were very good options but you could only choose one. (On vacation, I like the "more is more" philosophy behind eating.) At the Ashbrooke Ine, you can get the eggs and the pancakes and the waffles and the yogurt with the granola. It's really the small details like how much one can eat that pushes a place from "exceeds from expectations" to "outstanding." There were others there who were celebrating their anniversaries, and they had been going back to the Ashbrooke Inn every year for many years. My bf and I plan to do the same. Thank you, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, and Chris! -Kristine

We made a last minute trip to the Cape last week and chose to stay at Gabriel's at The Ashbrooke Inn. The staff, the room, the grounds and the breakfast were among the very best I've experienced in Provincetown. Traveling with a dog is often difficult, but our stay was made so much the better for the thoughtful way in which Gabriel's accommodates all members of one's traveling family. I recommend this B & B to anyone looking for a great stay in Provincetown.

I really enjoyed my stay at Gabriel's at the Ashford Inn. It is so conveniently located near all the main attractions in Provincetown. The staff is super friendly, everything is extremely clean and the room was fantastic. The bed was so confortable I just wanted to stay there the whole time, but the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was also calling my name at al times. The fire place and the small kichenette were also awesome for the champaigne and the cheeses we brough. My partner and I really enjoyed our weekend getaway.

Gabriel's is an excellent choice for visitors to Provincetown -- perfect location one block away from the heart of "downtown" making everything absolutely walkable, super friendly people (staff AND guests), an excellent breakfast (far and away THE best cinnamon scone ever!), immaculate rooms with all amenities, and a stunning garden/courtyard (even in winter!).

We stayed in the Olivia room at Gabriel's. Having never been to a B&B before we were unsure of what to expect. Upon entering our room the Olivia we knew we made a GREAT choice! The room was perfectly decorated for a homey feel and the electronic amenities made it all the more better. There is a flat screen TV in the bath, perfect for when you use the jacuzzi tub. The next morning was the topping on the cake for us. We had planned to go for breakfast before we left Ptown. Our first thought was Fanizzis but we decided to check out the continental breakfast provided. Wow I was really surprised to find it was the perfect place for breakfast. They offered fresh scrambled eggs and pancakes as well as your typical continental breakfast and they provided a tray to bring it back to our room.

We recently stayed in Hope for our 1st visit at Gabriel's drawn there by the ideal location and inviting room with fireplace and fabulous window! We were not disappointed when we arrived, we absolutely loved the entrance to our room right on Bradford Street and were extremely happy when we opened the door. Hope is adorable, comfortable and sooo cozy...our only disappointment was the lack of a bathroom sink, although understandable due to size restrictions we prefer a bathroom sink for brushing etc...however that did not take away from the absolute charm of the room. The staff was very accomodating and we thought Christopher was wonderful. His movie recommendation on our first night was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful as well...the staff was very pleasant and the omelette was incredible (just wish they had homefries/hashbrowns)...delicious breakfast in the great room. As for location, we never needed our Jeep, it stayed parked along side town hall within view of our room, while we took the minutes walk to town. Headed back to our room after a day in town and to our extreme pleasure found the outdoor firepit lit..what a treat!! Loved that...then back to our comfy room for another movie (from Gabriels extensive selection) by the fireplace...we left knowing we will definitely be back...

This was my first time experiencing a B & B and being from Atlanta I was not expecting such hospitality in the north. The stay, staff and the room were all amazing. I stayed in the Laurel and the room exceeded my expectations. This was a portion of my Valentine's Day gift and I was completely satisfied. I will most certainly return and have already shared the webpage with friends and co-workers back home in Atlanta, GA. Although, I was a thousand miles from home the warm staff and lovely rooms made me feel at home. Thank you for the beautiful experience.

We enjoyed our stay here so much. There was a sense of community but also privacy and a feeling of having a private entrance. Someone was always available to help with anything we needed, and breakfast was particularly relaxing and enjoyable. I highly recommend Gabriel's for New Year's, when we were there. It was convenient and delightful. I would hesitate to stay here during the high season when it might seem to be at the crossroads of the Cape. The Elizabeths and Christopher and staff are wonderful and you couldn't do better for hospitality and facilities. Specific applause for the shower!

The room was spectacular! Stayed to show a friend the Cape for New Years, and this inn made the trip. Most of the time, we only left the room for food, and going out to walk the beaches, both of which were simple walks from the inn, being located right behind the town hall.

This was such an absolutely fabulous, charming place to stay. Because our stay was in the off-season in December, I was able to afford a larger suite than I would in the summer. I brought my mother for her first visit to Provincetown, and we couldn't have been happier with Gabriel's. The property is beautiful, and right in the heart of the town, so convenient to all the shopping and galleries. Our suite was spacious and just perfect. One of the favorite things about it was the gas fireplace connected to the wall thermostat. The jacuzzi tub and tricked out shower were nice as well. Breakfast each morning was delicious and hot cider and cookies in the afternoon were a treat. A highlight of each day for me was discussing Will Ferrell comedies with Christopher in the DVD lending library. I would love to stay at Gabriel's again and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Stayed here for my honeymoon which was also the "Holly Folly" weekend and had such a great time. Gabriel's is a magical place. The courtyard is gorgeous and even though it was December we were still able to sit out by the fire pit for a night cap. The innkeepers were very friendly and the food was excellent. Breakfast was amazing; waffles, eggs, home made granola, pastries, bagels, you name it. They even had a little fridge for soy & almond milk, and there was always some sort of tantalizing sweet out for the taking in the great room. The room was very clean and well appointed. We stayed in the "Quan Yin" room and there was a great balcony overlooking the courtyard. The innkeeper joked that we had the "Evita" view. Not a huge fan of the bed but I guess that's just a personal preference, it's a tempurpedic which I thought I would enjoy but found it to be a bit uncomfortable. The jacuzzi tub, fireplace, skylight, balcony & kitchenette were definite pluses though. The location can't be beat! Being downtown and only one street away from Commercial was great. Also, the view of the Pilgrim Monument from the inn is amazing, it was all lit up like a Christmas tree for the holidays and made for a nice backdrop to it all. I think the only small downfall is parking. There is a little spot by the office for unloading/loading, but that's it. They offer parking for a fee but I believe the spots are a little walk from the inn. Because we went in the off season, we were able to park in one of the municipal lots for free and didn't have trouble finding a spot, I would assume it probably best to pay for a spot in the summer. As part of the "Holly Folly" festivities we participated in the inn stroll and were able to check out a few other places. I can confidently say Gabriel's was probably the homiest and nicest places we could have chosen. We will definitely be returning!!!

We spent several days in Provincetown recently. Our stay at Gabriels was everything we hoped for and more! The staff is so accomodating and helpful. My partner and I were married while there, we had our ceremony in the Great Room. Christopher was so sweet and took some wonderful photographs for us! Upon arrival at Gabriels you immediately feel genuinely welcomed and as though you are with friends. We stayed in Willow. The room was comfy & clean and the shower was divine! It is the perfect location, just a short stroll to nearly everything. We are already making plans to return next year! Thank you to the entire Gabriels staff for helping make our wedding & honeymoon so wonderful!
We were honored to be your hosts for your wedding - what a beautiful ceremony in our Great Room! Please email us some pictures and we hope to see you again soon.

A perfect stay at Gabriel's . . . During Thanksgiving week a friend and I stayed at Gabriel's in Provincetown. Although it was off-season, plenty of shops, galleries and restaurants were open to provide for an engaging week. And since Gabriel's is located right in the center of town, everything was easily available to us. But Gabriel's itself is so wonderful that we wanted to spend lots of time there as well. Our room was charming and very comfortable and, while being quite large, it is appointed so ideally that it is also very cozy. And, the bath accommodations are unbelievable including a whirlpool Jacuzzi tub with a steam sauna rainfall shower system including 9 adjustable jets. And we also enjoyed a swing on our balcony overlooking the garden which includes nooks of seating areas along with an open rock fire and a peaceful buddha sculpure intermingled throughout the foliage. Also the Inn makes available a large Great Room which is very comfortable and where games and books are provided for entertainment. It's a great place to spend time in front of the fireplace (even though I did lose a chess match there). And I can't leave out that the entire staff at Gabriel's is wonderful ! At all hours they are welcoming and in good spirits and always a pleasure to happen to cross paths with. So, we give Gabriel's our unqualified, enthusiatic recommendation. And to all at Gabriel's, once again, thank you for such a perfect visit ! Renee and Julia
WE are so happy that you took advantage of everything we had to offer at Gabriel's including Chess! Thank you for this great review and we hope to see you both again soon!

I came here without knowing much about the B&B mainly because they were pet-friendly. Turns out this place is not only pet-super-friendly, but super-people-friendly as well. The rooms were absolutely fantastic, from the incredibly confortable beds to the luxurious spa-showers and tubs. The staff couldn't be more friendly and kind. The breakfasts were outstanding as well. We had come planning on staying for one night and ended up having to stay for two because it was just that great. I recommend Gabriel's most strongly!

When most of the B&B's either did not accept one night stays or were closed for the season, Gabriel's took our reservation. It is now my all-time favorite place! The rooms are sparkling with thoughtful details, comfy beds (tempurpedic) and clean bathrooms. Although they describe their breakfast as "continental" (because we stayed off season), they had a chef that was making eggs, breakfast meats and blueberry pancakes in addition to the pastries. They even had vegan choices like soy milk and fruits. Even a yougurt and granola bar! The entire staff bent over backwards to make you feel welcome and it was a very friendly atmosphere. Great value for the money. We are planning to go again in the spring. This is a must-stay place perfectly located to enjoy all that Commercial Street has to offer. Well done!

Rooms are small, and whenever the next room uses ths shower you hear it very strongly.. The staff is super friendly, and the breakfast was awesome!!
We are very sorry that your room with us was less than stellar. We do have many different sizes of rooms with the smallest being the one you stayed in (it is also the most inexpensive). Most of our rooms are generous in size and we do post the size of each one of our rooms on our website. If a room is not comfortable we welcome the chance to show our guests other rooms that they might like better. As for the shower, we need to look into how we can soundproof better. We want you to be happy! We are also puzzled that you felt the service, value and cleanliness was off and wish you had let us know the issues during your stay. We strive to do our best and will make changes easily. best regards, Elizabeth

We couldn't have been happier with the experience at Gabriel's at The Ashbrooke Inn in Provincetown. The room was large, bright and tastefullt decorated. Very comfortable and clean. Ameneties were well thought out. Elizabeth and Elizabeth couldn't have been nicer hosts The landscaping around the inn is charming and they are conveniently located to everything in Provincetown. The feature that was most amazing was the size of the bathrooms, they were huge compared to the norm in ptown! The double headed shower totally rocked. We will definitely be back and can't recommend them highly enough. Al and Manny

From the moment we arrived our stay was perfect. Normally after ten days away from home, most people are ready to go home. Not so at Gabriel's. The entire staff goes out of their way to ensure the guests are comfortable and have everything they need. A most delicious breakfast every morning was made to order by the wonderful Gina and Kay. Christopher is a great host as well, working very hard to help all of the guests. We are repeat guests and will be making reservations to visit again soon!

Kudos to the innkeepers and staff at Gabrieles. We had an amazing stay there and cannot wait to return.

My partner and I have stayed at this Bed and Breakfast several times over the past 24 years. It evolves over time into such classic elegance which is graced by warmth, hospitality and serenity. Centrally located to all in-town shops/restaurants/galleries/etc yet tranquil enough to read a book, take a nap or jacuzzi. Best inn I've ever had the pleasure to stay at!!

An amiable staff, superb location, fantastic cooked-to-order breakfasts, charming and whimsical grounds. The owners' impeccable tastes shine through everywhere. A thoroughly beautiful piece of property. Pricey, but worth every penny. A place to which we look forward to returning.

We stayed for 4 days and would go back again. Actually, we did go back, as we were originally supposed to stay for 4 days in August, but had to leave early because of Hurricane Irene. The Elizabeths gave us credit and so we were able to return in Oct. for Women's Week. Our favorite room is still the first one we stayed in--Quan Yan--but Agatha Christie was charming in its own way. The breakfasts are bountiful and prepared to order, with lots of delicious choices. Tea and coffee available all day, as well as cookies and muffins. The courtyard is inviting and we just wanted to sit there and relax. Gabriel's is so centrally located in PTown that you never have to worry about being exhausted by trekking back to your inn. Loved our stay. Made to feel very welcome.

Had a lovely stay at Gabriel's. The location in the center of Provinctown is ideal. The room was very clean and having a stove, fridge and microwave was a money saver when it came to meals. I can't say enough about the owners and staff ... pleasant and very accomodating. Breakfast was phenomenal. We will definitely return!

We were lucky enough to find Gabriel's at the Ashbrooke Inn and luckier a room was available on such a busy week. The location is perfect just steps away from everything. We will be planning a follow up get-a-way and we will be staying here again.

Stayed in the Ariel and loved it. Staff was helpful and breakfast was great. I highly recommend staying here if you are in P-town.

Room, cleanliness was appropriate to the cost of the stay in Gabriels. The breakfast and all-day service in refreshments, the large DVD library and the friendlyness of staff though exceeded our expectations.

This was our first trip to Provincetown during women's week. Gabriel's staff and great location made us feel at home. What a great way to start the day with a fabulous breakfast made by Jean, along with sharing coffee and laughter with the guests at the Inn as well as their wonderful pets. We will definitely be back to stay, hopefully sooner than later.

It is a nice place to relax. The rooms are very nice and the bed is fantastic....we had the Willow apartment. The breakfast is included and better than I expected....fresh and rich!

We enjoyed our stay at Gabriel's, located in the center of town, just adjacent to the newly refurbished Town Hall. Although we slept in too late for breakfast service, there were leftover muffins and coffee available all day. Other favorite amenities: In room jacuzzi (Jane Goodall), mini fridge in the kitchen had single serve soy and almond milk (chocolate and vanilla!) and cookies were waiting for us when we came in late at night. I usually avoid bed and breakfast lodging - but Gabriel's will be my first choice the next time I visit Provincetown.

Our room in the attic (Agatha Christie suite) was lovely...and the fresh baked goodies in the main dining room were always plentiful and ready for us to gobble up! Overall, the hospitality at Gabriel's was warm and inviting.

Lovely B & B with a central location one block from Commercial Street in Provincetown. Check in was easy, the space was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. As a straight middle aged couple we felt welcomed and comfortable on site. I would recommend and would stay there again.

Gabriels is just steps away from Commercial street, yet is quiet and tucked away. The location couldn't be better, and our room was ENORMOUS, and came with an amazing shower and the world's fastest WiFi, which is a huge help when you need to send a file to someone quickly and get back to your vacation. You don't get the sense of space being at a premium the way you do elsewhere in town. The breakfast is so much nicer than that of many other b&b's we've stayed at, and the folks at Gabriel's thought of absolutely everything, including the almond milk that nobody else ever offers. We felt very welcomed and taken care of and we will definitely be coming back.

Check in was rather impersonal by "Christopher", the innkeepers son, who never even said, "Welcome to the Inn" or "Have a nice stay". Also, I accidentally left a folder of mine on the front desk, and although they luckily kept it, they never told me it was there and I went crazy looking for it until I finally checked there. One last negative, on our last night there was a motor running underneath the room that kept us up. But everything else was fantastic. Both Elizabeths (the Innkeepers) were friendly and interested in pleasing us, the breakfasts prepared by Jean were incredible, our room ("Susan") was wonderful and had everything you could possibly want, the location couldn't be beat, they were fantastically dog friendly yet it didn't feel like a "dog" room (it was clean and perfect), there was coffee and tea always available, and free parking for the inn a block away. I would highly recommend it.

Found this place on-line. One of the best features was that they allow 2 night stays vs the required 3 nights at many other locations. The rooms and service were beautiful. Upscale amenaties but still has that cozy feel. I must stay!

I spent one night in the Hope suite at Gabriel's. The room is teeny tiny but has everything I needed - a big comfy bed, a nice TV, big windows with lots of light, even a kitchenette. Linens and towels were nice and the amenities basket was really niceThe breakfast that came with the room was great - not just the usual continental breakfast. We ordered omelettes and there were even homemade, freshly baked strudels and danishes. A couple of things about the room itself - it's located directly on a busy road that has traffic all day and all night so if you sleep lightly, that could be an issue. Also, the bathroom doesn't have a sink, so you brush your teeth and wash your face in the kitchen sink. There is a mirror there as well so it didn't inconvenience me, but I thought it was worth a mention. And the shower is really small - maybe 20" square - so if you are on the bigger side like I am, it's a tight squeeze. All in all, a nice room for a good price in a great location.

Were happy to get a reservation with a pet on short notice. We booked just two nights after Labor Day. Great location, nice property. We did not take advantage of breakfast, but it smelled great when we checked out. We would stay at Gabriel's again.

despite one of these hurricanes washing out the vacation, the saving grace was Gabriel's. I can't remember when i was ever so comfortable away from home. The icing on the cake was Jean. She is a hoot and a hell of a hostess! Her "kitchen sinks", eggs with everything thrown in from mushrooms and spinach to sausage and feta, it was breakfast heaven. We stayed in "susan" with our two chihuahuas, our king sized tempur-pedic and a big screen tV. As one reviewer noted, it would have been nice to have coffee, cream and sugar in the room. There was a keurig machine but just one little K-cup of decaf and no other supplies. It was an odd exception given all the other amenities. we would certainly return.

The room was exceptional clean, nicely appointed, and provided all the ammenities, Coffee,Microwave, TV/cable . The staff was above he standards, helpful, sincere and outgoing to ensure tha the stay was rewarding. The dining was prompt, a wide selection for breakfast and cooked to the requestors taste. My compliments to the Elizabeths and also the cook whose name I did not get regretfully. Overall there is no hestitation to book a room at Gabriel's in the future..

One of the most charming, hospitable places I've ever stayed. The hostess and staff were accomodating and genuinely friendly. Gabriel's proves pet friendly can be luxurious. Atticus Finch and I will return to this lovely, private home away from home B&B.

Wow! This is a great place to stay! The bed was comfortable and clean, but I would have liked fresher pillows. The bathroom was tiny but functional. Our room had a small kitchenette with coffee maker, dishes, refrig and microwave. The breakfast was awesome! The "chef" cooked a meal to order as well as many choices of cereals, yogurt, fruits, drinks, coffee, tea, milk, you name it. We had access to the "great room" and snacks anytime. It is located centrally and parking is up the road but has easy access. It's a very friendly place. I forgot to mention we had a room on the main street and it was quiet at night! Stay here!

We have not had the best experiences at B & Bs but this was an exception. Great room - spacious, comfy bed, sound system, little amenities that make the stay special like chocolates. Breakfast was a treat. Jean, the cook, customized the breakfast each morning as well as offered a healthy eating bar and pastry bar each morning. Excellent stay.

My room was clean & the space was adequate. It was a laid-back environment w/ good sheets & nice amenities. I suppose "value" is a relative term -- I think everything in P-town is over-priced. I was glad I was alone; if I'd had a romantic weekend planned it would have been embarrassing as the walls were really thin. I did not have shampoo the first night/morning but received it after asking. Great location.
5 on September 08, 2011
The entire staff is great! They really know how to extend the warmth of home at their Inn. The fresh, homemade omelets and either pancakes or waffles are not to be missed. Their breakfast is not a few bagles and cereal boxes. The location is ideal.

I had a fantastic trip to Provincetown this past weekend. The staff, services, and rooms at Gabriel's were amazing and what made the weekend even better was the location. This Inn is located right in the middle of town, but you'd never know it with how quiet the Inn is. The grounds are beautiful and the owners are always around mingling with the guests. It was a truly wonderful weekend.

Everything was great - staff and innkeepers were friendly and helpful. The Great Room is a wonderful place to meet and talk with others. The grounds are lovely and the location can't be beat. No musty smell to room which is so different from so much of Provincetown. Breakfast was fantastic.

Gabriele's is amazing! The rooms are super clean, completely modern and renovated, and truly quaint - not to mention the 10 (?) jet shower, wow. The grounds/courtyard area between the buildings makes you feel like you are living in and among gardens (well, you are!). Very nice. Don't miss a day of the "continental" breakfast. I ate breakfast at 2 different quaint restaurants in town on the first two mornings, then discovered Gabriel's breakfast. Much more delicious than the restaurants. Pancakes, waffles, special omelets, pastries, awesome coffee, and so on. The staff made us feel so at home. Highly recommended.

In the past 6 years I have stayed at a number of B&Bs in Provincetown but none can compare to what Gabriel's has to offer. Rooms vary in size (and price) but all are exceptionally clean and well maintained. The hosts are most gracious and welcoming as is the staff that makes it all happen. Breakfast is "restaurant quality" and presented in the Great Room which accomodates friendships both new and old. Located just 1 short block from Commercial Street, the Inn provides for a quick walk to where everyone congregates for shopping, eating or partying yet is in a quiet neighborhood when you're looking to just relax in the courtyard. You won't be disappointed with this property. Paul - Manchester, NH

Just got home from another wonderful vacation in Provincetown and already looking forward our next stay at Gabriel's. We first discovered Gabriel's in January of 2000 when planning a romantic winter weekend in Provincetown. We loved the B&B from that first trip and have stayed there multiple times over the years, and consistently for the last 5 years. The rooms are a comfortable home away from home (we've stayed in Quan Yin, Willow, Ariel, Colette, & Agatha Christie), the Tempur-Pedic mattresses are beyond comfortable, and the spa-like bathrooms that are in many units are delightful. In winter the fireplaces in each room make for a very cozy and romantic weekend away. The central location is perfection for walking Commercial Street, easy access to restaurants, and close to the beach bus, but somehow retains a private hideaway feel once within the inner courtyard. Included parking, a fantastic breakfast (Jean was great this summer), attentive and friendly staff just add to an already perfect B&B experience. Elizabeth and Elizabeth have thought of everything to make you want to return year after year.

This was our 3rd stay at Gabriel’s. Elizabeth,Elizabeth, Christopher and Jean were exceptionally accommodating and ensured that our stay was comfortable and relaxing once again. The beautifully maintained courtyard was inviting and serene, and the hospitality is second to none. Breakfast in the great room each morning was phenomenal. It was the perfect opportunity to meet other guests, and the breakfast menu changed daily. BUT I have to mention that Jean’s fresh baked pastries daily was to die for. The surprise visit from Charo who also stayed at Gabriel’s while we were there was an extra treat! Gabriel’s is the best pet friendly place in P-Town; Onyx, and Bailey Rose enjoyed meeting Miss Potter, Mr Pippin and also little Gracie. We can’t wait for our next visit to Gabriel’s. Steve and Mike

Gabriel's is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay if you want to find a place that feels like a retreat from the bustle of Commercial Street. The bed was so comfortable and I slept so hard! The place was extremely clean and the breakfast kitchen in the willow room I stayed in was a perfect way for me to keep afternoon snacks in between walking around town :) :) :) I highly reccommend this place!

We had not vacationed in P-Town for 12 years. Our stay at the Inn was a great way to decompress and enjoy our favorite place on earth. We happened upon family week and would go again in a minute if we could take time from our work schedules. Thank you to Elizabeth(s), Christopher, Jean and Nicollette! Everyone on staff just great!

I stayed at Gabriel's with 3 of my children and was delighted with every aspect of our stay. The owners and staff are cheerful, friendly and attentive to our every need. The room was spacious, bright, comfortable and immaculate. The breakfast options included something for every taste and dietary need-- no easy feat with 3 kids! The location is perfect: near the center of town but very quiet. It was wonderfully restful and fun vacation for all of us. Many thanks!

We really like the attention to organic items at breakfast, and the quality of the bed and linens. Our unit was nice and quiet and had ample space. The only substandard thing was the check in. The young man at check in did not have much personality and could be friendlier. Other than that, loved it and would definitely stay again. Great location.

From the moment my husband and I stepped inside the office of Gabriel's, we felt like family. The vibe of the Inn is very welcoming and the staff go that extra mile to add to that feeling. The Inn itself is right in the middle of Provincetown, and as Christopher explained, you can go one direction for a more sedate experience or the other for a more party atmosphere. He had several recommendations that were spot-on for dining, and everything was a very easy walk away. I should mention that parking is included with your stay here. The common area was comfortable and welcoming....And there were cookies! How can you say no to freshly baked cookies?! Our room was adequately sized and had a small kitchenette included, which was handy. There was a spa tub and steam shower in the bath, which was fantastic! The only thing I could have wished for was more room to store clothes, but we were okay. Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful during our stay and served by a cheerful Elizabeth and some of her lovely ladies. Everything was homemade, including some unbelievable pastries, muffins, etc. This is a pet friendly, family friendly retreat where even a romantic couple can feel spoiled. There are quiet grounds in the back where you can relax outside and make new friends if you choose. My husband and I will definitely be returning!

My partner and I have been visiting Provincetown for the past 8 years now and have stayed in a few of the finest b&bs in town. This year, we brought our 2 year with us and decided on Gabriels because they were child friendly. We were pleasantly suprised by all that Gabriels had to offer. Our room was beautiful, private, cozy and convenient. We had a lovely balcony that overlooked the garden and all of the species of birds that visited. I was able to take some great shots of a beautiful Cardinal that kept flying in. Having a two year old and a kitchenette during your vacation is definately a plus. Breakfast each morning was phenomenal. The "Great Room" is comfy anytime of day and the selection of children's dvd's really helped out during our daugther's bedtime. Gabriels is definately our new choice each year we visit Ptown. I highly recommend them.

I stayed here with my mom and grandmother in July 2011. I'd say first that this was a terrific value, primarily because of its quality and location. Gabriel's is incredibly dog and children friendly. My mother and Gran loved the breakfasts, and the cook, Jean, was so friendly and helpful when answering our questions about Provincetown. The bathroom and beds were fantastic! The courtyard was beautiful as well. If you stay here for no other reason than location, though, you'd be satisfied. It's about as close as you can get to Commercial Street without actually staying on it., and it's straight up from where the ferries come in from Boston.

We very much enjoyed our second stay at the Gabriel's. This time we were able to have our dog, Ellie with us. The room was clean and spacious. The staff and owners are great to work with. We stayed in Colette this time. We preferred the light and spaciousness of the Olivia from our last stay, although both rooms are great. About the only real complaint we have is the coffee. The coffee was a bit of a disappointment given the spectacular breakfast we had each day. We plan to continue staying at the Gabriel's on our future trips to Provincetown. The rooms, breakfast and location cannot be beat!

My partner and I just finished staying at "Gabriel's" last week. It was a wonderful time! The rooms are clean and pretty large for a b&b. The grounds are well maintained; there was even a fire in a small fire pit on Saturday night for the guests to sit around and relax. However, the best facet of "Gabriels" is there wonderful daily breakfast! We had a choice of baked goods, a granola bar, and a style of eggs and waffles/pancakes daily. Elizabeth and Jean are wonderful, and they added to the warmth and joy of the experience. I would, without a doubt, stay at "Gabriel's" the next time I am visiting P-Town.

We stayed here recently for four nights with our dogs. The setting is quaint and relaxing. The rooms are well-kept and have all the amenities needed. The Inn Keepers and staff are WONDERFUL. The breakfasts and afternoon cookies were fabulous. They put out a full breakfast of made to order eggs/omelets and waffles but also have cereals, yogurt and fruit, croissants, breads etc. Then there are fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. It's also nice to be off Commercial St but right in the middle of town to easily get to anything you like. We will definitely go back !

Gabriel's at The Ashbrooke Inn is a beautiful complex of four buildings surrouding a delightful garden area. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The hosts and staff are pleasant and attentive. The main building has a wide variety of books and movies for use, and the location is perfect for jaunts into and around town. I would not recommend staying in the main building, however, on the second floor of which are three bedrooms. The noise from the breakfast room was jarringly loud every morning we were there - it woke us from sleep about 8:30 every day, which was before we would have wanted while we are on vacation. I suspect rooms in the other three buildings allow a more restful stay.

We stayed in the Agatha Christie room and loved it. Clean, private and comfortable! Elizabeth and Elizabeth are just wonderful and their staff is beyond helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the Great Room is something to look forward to...the hospitality cannot be beat. We will be staying ONLY here on our yearly trips to P-town. Great location and beautiful facility. We recommend HIGHLY!!!

This is charming inn is owned by two lovely ladies, the two elizabeths. Beginning with their son's smile when you walk up to the check-in desk to the happy laughter of breakfast lovingly cooked by elizabeth and jean, you know this is a family business that is run with heart and care. The home cooked breakfast is excellent with different selections every morning. My only tip is that Provincetown can be very hot and a bit stuffy in the summer, so for that nice ocean breeze, ask for an upstairs room so you can keep all your windows open at night. Also, we had to take our dog on vacation. We had no idea that P'town is such a haven for dogs and it was a nice surprise. Dogs go to dinner, dogs go to coffee shops (try the Wired Puppy for excellent coffee), dogs are welcome at Gabriel's, chic dogs and their owners are all over the place. Anyway, if you want to go to Provincetown, Gabriel's is the place to stay but make your reservation well in advance as they book up early.

We stayed at Gabriel's the weekend of July 4th, great weekend in P-town! The Elizabeths are very friendly, as was all the staff. The Dorothea Dix room was clean and cozy, the common areas were clean and inviting, and the gardens were beautiful (except for a few bugs at night). We've stayed at many B&B's in P-town and I feel Gabriel's has the best breakfast of all. My only complaint is the room could have used a radio or Ipod dock, but we need to disconnect more so it wasn't a big problem, the music played on the house systems was nice. Will definitely look into Gabriel's for future visits to P-town!!!

Central location, short walking distance to the center of town. Service and people were very friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast would highly recommend.

I would suggest that the breakfast be served before 8:30, especially coffee, OJ etc. Many leave for outings etc. In previous stays I was able to get coffee (just using this for an example) by 7:30. I would also suggest giving a receipt for the total upon check. I understand going green, but I have had mistakes in the past and this would eliminate this problem. I've stayed there 4 years in a row, and will probably do so again.
Thank you for this review. We read all reviews and improve our services whenever possible. Our apologies about the coffee and juices. We do offer the Keurig individual cup coffee makers with supplies in all our rooms as well as in our breakfast area 24 hrs. a day. Our fresh ground coffee is brewed by 8:30am. There is also a small refrigerator in our Great Room that offers alternative drinks and juices around the clock. In an effort to go green and to keep your visit easy, receipts are sent via email in advance of your arrival. We are always happy to resend your reservation information as our check in and check out area is not where we do our book keeping. We are always happy to send duplicate receipts upon request. We look forward to your next visit!

My partner and I were celebrating our 8th anniversary together and we could not think of a better place to stay than Gabriel's. The two Elizabeth's and their son Christopher were outstanding, loving hosts. The Chef....Jeanne serves a breakfast that is out of this world and serves it with a smile, a laugh and a double heaping helping of CARE! We loved the room...so neat...clean...bright...... We loved the entire experience and will return again and again and again. Just an aside.....Their son Christopher is the best front desk presence on the Cape! I have been to P Town many times and Gabriel's is definitely the best place I have ever stayed. The room and amenities were great but what was really outstanding was the staff. They made us feel more than welcomed and actually added to our experience in P Town. We were upgraded at no cost and by being able to leave our luggage after we checked out it is like we got a bonus day! I will never stay anywhere else now.

My wife and I went to Provincetown to get married, it was our first time there and we stayed at Gabriel's. We loved it so much that we extended our stay for four more days and stayed there a total of 9 days! The inn keepers allowed us to get married in their beautiful courtyard garden area for free, it was absolutely perfect. The room was clean, comfortable, and the jacuzzi tub was fantastic! We LOVED the Keurig coffee maker in our room, and the convenient one down stairs with unlimited supply of coffee! They even had my FAVORITE coffee that we can't find near our house anymore...Kona!! Homemade breakfasts every morning were wonderful, the kitchen staff were very pleasant and accomodating. The DVD and game library was huge, we took advantage of that at night time, and enjoyed some games on the cooler days. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they gave it a real "home" feeling. Gabriel's is located just a street away from Commercial Street, very quick and easy to get to! We would have stayed even longer if the prices hadn't jumped up! We will definitely be returning to Gabriel's every year to celebrate our anniversary there...and might even pay a visit sooner!

We had a wonderful extended weekend in Provincetown. The Inn was a fantastic place to enjoy a bit of luxury with a two year old and not feel out of place. The fact that the Inn accepts guests with pets additionally adds to the fun.

Gabriel's is a wonderful (dog-friendly) oasis nestled into the heart of Provincetown. The check-in process was relaxed and efficient. Our room (Susan) was spotless, equipped with all the essentials and perks of staying at a five star hotel with a home-y feel. The homemade breakfasts in the Great Room with the other guests each morning was a terrific treat. The Sunday morning waffles were my favorite! There are also homemade cookies each afternoon - soooo good! The bed sheets - oh my god! - they were the softest, like butter. And the best part is that we were able to order a set from the inn. We cannot wait to return to Gabriel's for our next vacation to Cape Cod! :)

Husband and I had a fantastic stay at Gabriel's. Ferry trip from Boston was very rough with 7 out of 10 passengers sitting with Hefty Bags in their laps. We are from San Francisco and this was an adventure! Upon our arrival at Gabriel's, Chris was most accommodating and took us to our room. What a lovely view overlooking the gardens and Town Hall while we regained our land legs. Breakfast was incredible. A return trip for sure.

Gabriel's was just amazing. Our room was spacious, spotless and inviting. The game table was a great touch and a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon. The staff were all friendly and Jean's breakfasts were amazing. Can't wait to go back.

We chose Gabriel's B&B because of our 5 year old daughter: most "child Friendly" B&B we looked at had an a minimum age of 10 years old: quite useless to us! The rooms were good size, had a kitchenette and and great bathrooms: took us a while to figure out the tub with all the showers sprays and jacuzzi... bVery comfiortable tempurpedic beds... Great fire place in the room, did not use them as we were here in June The patios were full of Fairy houses and surprises, which delighted our daughter, a nice fire pit, and plenty of quiet sitting areas. The breakfast was really good: pancakes with blueberries and pecans, and very creative French toasts. A wide DVD library available with movies for all ages, books for kids. Our hosts joined us at breakfast, and were very friendly. Located a block from main street, it was convenient to stroll at night, no need for a car. We loved it and will return

This inn is in a wonderful location, just a block off the water and the main street of activity. The hosts were attentive and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. You can't beat this inn for the price. We'll definitely be staying again. We also travel with a dog and they made it incredibly easy to have her with us. Our room was right next to a park and we could take her to the beach within a few minutes' walk. Perfect for dog travel.

When I first arrived I was greeted by a younger gentlemen who helped bring my luggage to my room. I stayed at Gabriel's by myself and the room was VERY comfortable for my needs. The room I stayed in (Katharine Hepburn) had a great view looking down at the beautiful green courtyard The service was OUTSTANDING! The Elizabeth's were So friendly, very welcoming and helpful even before I arrived. I had to change my travel plans and they were VERY accommodating. The staff did an exceptional job cleaning the room and were respectful of my belongings and the "Privacy Please" sign. Breakfast had to be one of my favorite things! There was a HUGE variety: cereal, fruit, a make your own fruit and yogurt parfait, muffins, toast, coffee, tea, milk, juice, eggs and then whatever the FLIPPIN AMAZING chef was making. Jean (The Flippin amazing Chef) is SUPER friendly. Every morning she would welcome me and the other guests as we entered the Great Room. Jean was VERY considerate to anyone who had special dietary needs. The food was tasty and served quickly! The rooms are a little more expensive than some of the other places, but the B&B is at a GREAT LOCATION, and you certainly get what you pay for... ROCK YOUR GRAY TOED SOCKS PURE EXCELLENCE!

Their place is an oasis in the chaos and bustle of Ptown, centrally located in town. The breakfasts are amazing, the service and helpfulness of the staff top-notch. They are kind, patient, and accepting of everyone: singles, families, dogs, littles and older folks. Definately stay with them!

Gabriel's is a beautiful place to stay with gorgeous view of the monument and a short walk to Commercial Street. Room was beautiful and the shower should be featured on the home channel. Hand cut stone tiles, turtles and multiple heads and jets. Don't miss breakfast with Jean!
5 on June 20, 2011
Perfectly located in the heart of "downtown" Provincetown but one short street up from the hurly burly of Commercial Street, so it's both sublimely convenient AND peaceful. Gorgeously landscaped grounds with a woman's touch evident everywhere, beautiful, unique rooms, all the amenities, sweet and helpful staff, glorious breakfasts to order. This is a marvelous place to spend one's precious vacation days in Provincetown.

They were all so corteous and I will return to Gabriels on my next trip! This is one of very few that is KID FRIENDLY in Provine Town...!!! Respectfully The Falquez Family from AZ

Gabriels is a great place to stay in P-Town. It's two blocks to all the shops and restaurants, yet it remains a quiet haven to rest and relax. We stayed in the Willow Room, which was large, quiet, and very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, and the multiple head shower was luxurious. The breakfast is both a buffet and made to order, and plenty of it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Free Wifi is included. The courtyard is zenlike. I don't have any complaints! Stay here!

Our stay was delightful to say the least. We were welcomed warmly by Chris and the smell of fresh made cookies. The delicious breakfasts and freindly chats with the chef Jean started our days with joy. The wamrth and friendliness of all the staff there made our stay feel like we were staying at an old friends home for the weekend. We loved it so much that we have already booked a return visit this summer. Thanks to all at Gabriel's for making us feel so welcomed, especially Jean and Chris.

I would highly recommend Gabriel's for your next stay. Brian and Craig

We stayed 1 night at this Bed & Breakfast in the Agatha Christie room. Despite it being in an attic, it had very good ventilation (& air conditioning). It had a lovely garden area where you could sit down & have a glass of wine & relax. The breakfast was delicious & there was always coffee, tea & juices to help yourself to in the dining room.

We took Mom for a getaway weekend to show her the wonderful place where we always stay in Provincetown. She was "wowed" by the beautiful room and that she was treated like a queen at breakfast in the Great Room! Our room opened to the garden walkway, making it easy for her to trek safely within the grounds and venture out into town with us. There are many reasons we keep coming back. The beautifully appointed rooms, the innkeepers, the staff, and the location are just a few. It's not just a vacation destination, but a place to feel like home with family. We are looking forward to our next visit in September.

My GF and I stayed in the Collete--we loved the room! It was near the back so very private and quiet. Large room with full kitchen, fireplace, AC, flatscreen tv, and amazing bedding. The only downside was the steamer wasn't working in our shower-- we are spa addicts and had really looked forward to sitting in the steam(the rest of the multi-head shower was wonderful!) The staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful--and Jean made the most wonderful breakfast and provided great conversation. They also have movies, beach towels, umbrellas, books, and games for use. Gabriels is near the center of everything in Ptown--we are already planning our next trip back!

I loved the staff here (including the owners and family). They were so friendly, I felt like I had known them my whole life. Food was so good, I wasn't even thinking about eating breakfast when I booked the room, so it was such a pleasant surprise! And the afternoon cookies were delicious! Location so close to Provincetown, grocery store, and beaches. Perfect! I can't think of anything I would change about Gabriel's. And, the fact that I could bring my dog- definitely the best place I've stayed on the Cape.

Gabriel's is our home away from home in Provincetown. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped; the staff is helpful and friendly; and the inn is not only pet-friendly, it's pet-welcoming. The grounds are pretty; the breakfast and snacks are delicious. And the location couldn't be more convenient.

My wife and I spent two nights at Gabriel's; 5/20 and 5/21. We had a wonderful time, renewed old friendships and were served delicious breakfasts by the "master chef" Jean. The staff at Gabriel's was exceptionally accomodating and ensured that our stay was comfortable and relaxed. The room was beautiful and meticulously clean. Everyone there, staff, owners, and guests, were extremely dog-friendly. The breakfast was fantastic too. Plus, the inn is right off of Commercial Street. We have stayed at other inns in P-town. Now that we have found Gabriel's, we won't be staying anywhere else.

My daughter (9 years old) and I traveled for a girls weekend away from the rate race of DC. Formerly from the Truro, MA., area, I found Gabriels Inn through a wearch on bedandbreakfast.com - and knew the location to be central walking distance to everything in Provincetown. What was unexpected was the charm, elegance, cleanliness and warmth of the Inn and it's staff/owners. Our room offered us all the convenience and comfort of home and each day we enjoyed the spectacular breakfast menu - which was out of this world. Each night we sat in the living room area and chatted with other guests while enjoying gourmet coffee and warm cookies. My daughter enjoyed petting all the friendly dogs and really took to the managers dog Gracie who welcomes you when you enter the guest house. We were so impressed with the accomodations, yet what took us by surprise was the feeling of being right at home. It was difficult to leave but we know that next time we are back the only place we'll book is at Gabriels- without a doubt the best Inn we've stayed at.

What can I say.. The nicest Inn we have ever stayed at. It has it all here. Great hosts who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive (which after a nine hour drive in a foreign country was really appreciated) to beautiful rooms with just about everything you could need provided (jacuzzi baths, log fires, tea/coffee making facilities and the most comfortabe matress in the world! This Inn was the highlight of our holiday in Cape Cod and breakfast time was a real surprise - home made breakfasts.. we are not just talking sauasage and eggs here, home made muffins baked that morning, home made gronola..it was haven and so was the company. We can't wait to return sometime soon.

We return to Gabriel's year after year because the innkeepers and staff make it feel like home. Everyone is warm and friendly. Normally, my husband and I tend to keep to ourselves when we travel, but at Gabriel's we relish our time in the communal "Great Room" where they serve breakfast and snacks during the day. We have come to know the Elizabeths and their staff (a special shout out to Gina and her little pup, Gracie of the Great Room) and feel they are like a second family. They certainly treat all their guests like family. Rooms are beautifully appointed, comfortable and immaculate. Bathrooms (some with TVs!) are luxurious and beds are nicely firm. Breakfast is always delicious (glorious morning muffins, egg casseroles, granola and fresh fruit - to name just a few selections), plus the staff is accomodating to those with special dietary requirements. It's a short walk to everything, but still one block off the main drag, Commercial Street, so it tends to be a bit quieter at night - which is a BIG plus. Best inn in Provincetown, hands down. Highly recommended.
4.4 on April 27, 2011
Very nice and quaint within walking distance to shops and restaraunts. Our two pet labs were welcomed everywhere and the park next to the inn was great for a quick walk. The room was very close to street so was noisy along with the church bells that ring every 1/2 hour, otherwise excellent stay.

Stayed 2 nights, room was well appointed but very cramped. Wonderful location; close to 'everything.' Basically no soundproofing, but very pleasant surroundings. Breakfast was good, but way too many guests for the 'great room' to hold comfortably. Suggest they add more table space for people to eat. Owners have thought of a great many details to provide nice stays for guests, such as providing beach chairs, umbrellas and a fantastic selection of DVDs. Great for dog owners as there is a park next door!

The room was absolutely beautiful and the grounds were well kept. The only issue was the thin walls. Unfortunately, we happened to be next to a couple that chose to use a wonderful night away to argue and we heard it all. Besides that, everything was awesome.

We were greeted with hospitality and treated to an amazing home-cooked breakfasts. Gabriel's is in a great location- easy to walk anywhere in town. Our puppy was welcomed too, which is always a plus. The room was a bit smaller than it appeared in the photos on-line. And the only other complaint I have is that the walls are quite thin between rooms...

We had a fabulous time in Provincetown. Everyday we started with the most amazing breakfasts prepared by Jean. The room, Jane Goodell was very spacious and warm. We fely very comfortable, and at home. Ther room was clean, beautiful and I love the jacuzzi tub. I will stay at Gabriel's again and again. Thank you for such a fantastic time. Its good to know that people are passionate about your comfort.

I found the price we paid ($150 for a double room) a bit too high considering the season (mid/end of February). the rest was perfect.
3.6 on March 30, 2011
My girlfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip to Ptown during the off season. The price for the room was great. We stayed in the Agatha Christy. Everything in the room was great except the Jacuzzi jets in the hot tub did not work. The pictures on the website made the room loko amazing but in person the room was just ok. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic! The only downside to teh amazing location was parking. There was any designated place to park for the inn so we had to park on commercial street which was difficult even during the off season. All in all, we would defintley go back and stay again but only during the off season. The price for the room during the summer would be wayyyy too much for the quality.
5 on March 27, 2011
Was there for a weekend. Great ambiance, great service, great breakfast. Loved Provincetown and I will definitely stay at Gabriel's again.
4.4 on March 27, 2011
We stayed in the Laural Suite which was beautiful. We travelled with our two dogs who were welcomed with open arms, belly rubs and kisses. Our morning breakfasts were delicious made by Gina. March is quiet in Provincetown and there are not many restaurants open - beware. My only wish is that parking was closer and easier (you must park in the public lots either near the town hall (accross the street) -or further up Bradford St which wasn't that bad given it was "off season") and one night we stopped by the front desk for restaurant information and the person staffing the desk didn't have information on which restaurants were open. Other than those two very minor issues .... we'll be back to Provincetown and Gabriel's.

My boyfriend and I regularly vacation in the Cape, but never ventured to the tip. Our weekend trip was the first week of March, so finding a bed and breakfast that offered a fireplace en-suite was ideal! I also wanted to have a relaxing spa-like getaway from our busy city schedules. After reading reviews of other bed in breakfast spots in Provincetown, Gabriel's, seemed to be the ideal pick. Boy, were we delighted!! What a fabulous stay! We chose the Susan room. The pictures were identical to the room! The room was immaculate!! The wet-bar exceeded expectations. Fully equipped with a refrigerator, 4person table, wine glasses, and washer and dryer—we could’ve stayed for a month!! The DVD library is massive and the homemade breakfast made by Elizabeth was amazing!! We would recommend Gabriel’s to everyone; it was worth every dollar… We loved it so much; we’ve already booked another stay later on this summer!! Thanks Christopher and Elizabeth(s).. See you in the summer! -Erika, from Boston

On a whim we booked a Saturday night just to get away. We had never been before, and were happy with the photos and anticipated a nice room. Upon arrival we were informed we had been "upgraded." Well, the room made our jaws drop and we didn't want to leave the room the entire stay! What a wonderful surprise. The breakfast was fantastic and Gina and "Gracie of the Great Room" were wonderful company. We will certainly return, and highly recommend the Inn to any and all. L&K Holden, MA

We had our small, intimate wedding ceremony at Gabriels and it rained the day of the ceremony so they graciously let us have the ceremony in the Great Room. Everything was beautiful and both our ceremony and our stay at Gabriels were memorable. we picked an off-season time to visit P-town and it was just the experienc equally memeriable to summer time on the Cape. We got a surprised upgrade upon check-in and everything exceeded our expectation. It was too cold to sit outside but i wish we could spend time in their little but cute courtyard. It is such a cozy place to have a cup of tea and relax. The room we stayed has everything we would need if it was an extended stay. I am amazed how they fit in some many life neccessities and luxury features in a small suite without letting you feel packed. If the price is in your budget, it is the top BB to choose and it is certainly the best BB i have ever stayed in many travel experiences. Highly recommanding it.

What a wonderful inn! Super clean, beautifully renovated, wonderful breakfast and friendly staff and owners. We had a great winter weekend
Isn't winter great in Provincetown! It's the new fall! :)
3.2 on March 09, 2011
The room was gorgeous, although really hard to prevent it from being overheated. The bathroom, with its gorgeous shower and whirlpool bath was wonderful. The breakfast and coffee was simply terrible. The meal plan seems to involve "do ahead" breakfasts--which could work out under the right supervision. But putting out grocery store coffee cake and inedible baked breakfast lasagna (think overcooked pasta, hard boiled eggs, and bacon), made us seek breakfast elsewhere by the second day. Baked fruit seemed to be heated up fruit from a can. I just really think for these prices, breakfast should be something nice. And the coffee is terrible. The rooms are great--and it is clearly a great place for people with dogs. But at these prices, and given the lack of parking, I could never recommend the place on the theory that if you pick a bed and breakfast, instead of a hotel or renting a place, you are signing on for that breakfast experience--yummy food, lingering over coffee, chatting with the hosts and guests. These hosts never even introduced themselves to us the whole weekend--and maybe that was because they were mortified at what they were passing off as food.
We are so sorry this guest was not happy with the breakfast. Sometimes our cook tries a new recipe and well, it doesn't work for everyone, but she tries :) If this guest would like to email us we would love to have them back, on us, to experience why we have been top rated for 32 years! I hope they do! Thank you for your review all information is helpful!

We stayed on a blustery cold weekend (no changing that), but I wish we had known that there's no parking available at the inn. Because it was mid-winter we lucked out and found a spot in a nearby public lot, but I can't imagine trying to find parking during the busy summer season. I had emailed ahead of time looking for some specific restaurant info but didn't hear back before we arrived (so we made do with the inn's helpful pre-printed general info). We didn't stay for breakfast but it looked like a beautiful room and nice spread. I couldn't figure out how to set the only clock in the room (it was displaying the wrong time), but the spa shower was terrific.
We are sorry that this guest did not get the attention they were looking for. We strive for each and every guest experience to be wonderful. We DO provide parking, but in the winter the FREE public lots across the street is closer than our lot and there are always spaces. We hope they will come again.

I surprised my partner for her birthday as well as valentine's day weekend by putting her in the car and driving us to provincetown for the weekend. I decided to stay at Gabriel's at The Ashbrooke Inn and reserved their room "Ariel" for our romantic weekend. The room was over the top! The bathroom is unbelievably gorgeous. The shower doubles as a steam room and has more jets than you can count! On top of it, it was impeccably clean and neat. There was great attention to detail. I loved the starfish placed around the jacuzzi tub. Eventhough it was February, it felt like a summer weekend at the cape because of the bright, cheerful decor. My partner was impressed that the fireplace was set by the thermostat and came on and off as needed to heat the room. We were also pleasantly surprised to realize that the flat screen tv in the bedroom had a spot on the side to insert a dvd so we were able to watch a movie that night.... and, they had such an extensive and up to date library, that they had a movie that we had been meaning to see that just came out on dvd. We were super impressed. In addition to the fantastic room, the breakfast cooked by Jean each morning was delicious. And, they also had fresh fruit and pastry out as well as the options for a hot breakfast. I also can appreciate variety... I really like that one morning they had french toast, eggs, sausage, etc. while the next morning they had pancakes topped with strawberries, eggs, bacon, etc. It was nice to have choices as well as to what exactly you wanted. Overall, we had a phenomenal weekend at Gabriel's. The owners and staff make you feel so welcome and everything is really taken care of for you... so much that you can just really just relax and enjoy! -Rebecca

this was my second visit in a two month span. It has become my home away from home...the place i want to go when i truly need to get away. Everyone at Gabriel's is warm and welcoming. The rooms...well, I have never stayed at a cozier inn. I will be back...next month, mostly likely and hopefully, once a month for as long as possible.

Room was awesome...the staff was very accommodating. Was surprise to have a full breakfast. Have stayed in other Inns in P-town which only offered a continential breakfast. The Inn has a great collection of DVD's which is great if you just want to chill out for the day in your room. All in all a relaxing wonderful weekend at the Gabriel.

My partner and I spent a week at Gabriel's last October, and we couldn't have hoped for a nicer place to stay. Wonderful staff. Wonderful guests. Wonderful time.

Gabriel's is my favorite place to stay in Provincetown. Every time I visit, I am amazed by the comfort and attention to detail. The owners and staff are personable and go above and beyond to ensure every guest has the best possible stay. The rooms are comfortable and yet, every detail is taken care of to ensure that guests leave feeling pampered and refreshed. The Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast is delicious and there are choices that will satisfy every taste. I can't say enough about this wonderful place~

Beautiful guest rooms and fabulous breakfast, with great presentation and thoughtful extra touches. Great location within easy walking distance of all the main sites, restaurants and shops in P'town. Love the gas fireplace, and amenities. Even packed us a great on-the-road breakfast since we had to leave so early on Monday a.m.. Very warm, friendly environment, with as much opportunity to socialize as we wanted, but total respect for privacy. The extensive DVD and Video collection (at no cost) was great on those cold winter afternoons. We will be back for sure!

For a great mid winter break hotel find in Provincetown, Gabriel's is the it place to stay. Perfect location, comfortable in every way, good off season rates including breakfast, it can't be beat!

Ideal location in the center of town. Easy walk everywhere, especially the fudge shop. View of the Monument through the skylight -- magical. Superb en suite coffee maker. Wonderful time walking Race Point and Herring Cove beaches. What a contrast with the summer!

We booked two nights in the Laurel room and brought our dog along. It was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff were very welcoming and everything felt very clean. We were especially pleased at how easy it was to include our dog in the stay. I would recommend Gabriel's to anyone. We are already planning our return!

There is plenty good to say about Gabriel's. The people are very friendly and wonderfully pet friendly, which says a lot. The room and Common Room were very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was divine (Temporpedic). My first disappointment was not getting hot water in my shower the first morning. OK, so I'll see what's going on for breakfast. Door to the common room was locked. I called the main number and was told that a big breakfast is served on Sunday, but no breakfast today. They would look into the hot water situation and also look for a radio as there had not been one in the room and I wanted one. Both those problems were resolved quickly, but I felt short-changed after waiting two months to get away from my responsibilities and take a break. I expected more. However, because of all the really good reviews, I think they must of just had an "off" weekend or something.

My partner and I recently spent an overnight in the Willow Room, and everything about our stay was lovely. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean, with many thoughtful extra details added in. The staff was so friendly and most helpful. It was quiet, restful, and gave us a much-needed chance for renewal and refreshment. We will definitely come again! Thank you for a great time!

I have been visiting Provincetown for ten years, stayed at different places...then I stayed at Gabriel's and I can't think of staying any where else in Provincetown! Every stay is just as good or better than the last, Gabriel's always has new surprises to discover when you stay!

Our stay was a very good one in that the hospitality matched the location and the ambiance. Our room was clean and warm when we arrived amidst a snow storm. Everyone was friendly and professional and we loved our room with all of the upgrades and amenities.

We visited Gabriel's at Christmas. We got upgraded to a room (Ariel) that I could never have afforded otherwise. It was astounding, especially for the (off-season) price per night. I have never experienced such luxury. One sour note: The young man in charge of checking us in was about as disinterested in being hospitable as a person could be. However, we expected something like that, because we assume the owners were enjoying their holiday as well. We didn't let it ruin our stay!
4.8 on January 01, 2011
My husband and our nine-year-old son love Gabriel's. We have stayed here three or four times. It is wonderfully located, at the center of town and alongside the Monument. The rooms (some with really nice views) are located throughout a small complex of buildings all overlooking a very attractively landscaped series of little gardens/nooks/pathways/plantings. Gabriel's has a special personality all its own, of comfort and artistry and community, with personal care for each guest. We love the Ariel room in particular but each has its own personality and charm, with comfortable, attractive furniture that is well maintained. Gabriel's offers all the amenities one needs, from gas fireplaces in some rooms, to fantastic showers/jacuzzi in others—plus delicious breakfasts. The DVD/video library will definitely satisfy every taste. The owners (I won't give names) and the young man staffing the front desk are all very friendly and helpful. All the guests clearly feel at home here, with lively morning conversations the norm, and Gabriel's deserves the many, many repeat visitors it attracts. Definitely book a visit here.

The rooms and grounds were top notch, what a nice job they have done. Nice dog park located conveniently near my room. Located right in the center of town. Parking was difficult in this area. Breakfast was your average hotel chain bread goods with some eggs, not the usual breakfast found at B&Bs. Staff not overly friendly or helpful. Found expensive for off season for what you get. 10 times better at Gazebo Inn in Ogunquit Maine.
5 on November 29, 2010
My wife and I stayed in the Laurel suite and could not have possibly been more satisfied with our choice. We could easily have lived in this suite for a month. The Elizabeths have thought of everything and were extremely welcoming. Everything from a wine opener to a pet watering bowl has been thought of and placed in your room. The fireplace heating was very romantic and the spa bathroom needs to be experienced because my description won't do it justice. We had an amazing stay at Gabriels.

Beautiful place, great courtyard between the 4 buildings. Loved having a gas stove in the room, visited in November. Easy walking distance to everything in Ptown. The breakfast was ok, would have liked homemade baked goods. Had to get used to the Town Hall hourly chimes, very loud. Very nice owners and staff.

3.6 on November 08, 2010
Ideally located near main restaurant and shopping streets. Also close to bus stop for Boston. Off season price good value but feel high season price high for what is on offer. Breakfast bit disappointing - no hot food if only few guests in. Good garden to look over. Unstaffed quite a lot of the day so difficult to obtain assistance. One word of warning for visitors to Cape Cod......November onwards is dead! Most hotels, shops and restaurants closed, so plan these ahead.

Stayed here for a week for a conference. Great location, walking distance to all my meetings and events. Loved the ambience of the courtyard. Liked having coffee ready in the morning, and variety breakfast if I wanted it. Everyone is helpful and pleasant. My dogs would have loved it too. Hope to stay here again next year.

We had a fabulous first visit to Gabriel's. The owners, Elizabeth and Elizabeth are wonderful and take the time to tell you the inside places to go in town. We laughed at the breakfast table and met new friends and the entire table exchanged emails! The room we had, Susan, was beyond appointed and the TV in the bathroom was over the top. This is a true gem in the middle of town and walking distance to everything. We will be back!!!

As a regular visitor to Provincetown and a first to Gabriels, my week included strange interactions with the hosts, and even stranger interactions with the staff. There was a certain sincerity and genuine friendliness missing from the customer service equation. This could have been driven by my lack of sleep due to traffic noise which rattled our windows throughout the night. My advise: Lower your social expectations and bring your ear plugs. Provincetown was FABULOUS as always!!

My now husband and I went to Gabriels for one night. We had such a great time there, the house was immaculate, the grounds were beautiful, and it was a VERY short walk to the main st. We will def. be seeing the "Elizabeths" soon...

We had a wonderful time at Gabriel's. The attention to detail was outstanding. We arrived in the evening to warm cookies and hot cider, enjoyed the in-room spa tub, and took a walk to a local restaurant (only a block away). We slept wonderfully on the Tempurpedic bed, and could see the illuminated Pilgrim monument through the skylight too! In the morning we had a wonderful breakfast (cheese omelet, hashbrowns, pancakes, and great coffee!) and enjoyed the company of the other guests and the host. We highly recommend staying at Gabriel's at the Ashbrooke Inn - you won't regret it!

Perfect accommodations & we would like to acknowledge every staff member... every single one is courteous & thoughtful of the guests. A special call out for Christopher at the front desk is also in order. Christopher greeted us when we arrived, made sure all of our needs were met, offered to make dinner reservations whenever we wanted and he even sat with our dog Scout one evening. What a perfect getaway with outstanding hosts!

I’d recommend Gabriel’s to couples and people with children over the age of six, but not for people with babies or toddlers. We were allowed to rent a room that was a death trap for young children. The online pictures of the room did not fully capture how unsafe the room was for babies/toddlers. This should have been brought to our attention when we reserved. During high tourist season, we would have been left with nowhere to stay. As it was, we had to upgrade our room (at significant cost to us). You have to park at the Pilgrim Monument, which is up a steep hill from the inn. Not inherently bad, but if you're pushing two strollers and have to pack your entire house any time you travel, this is very inconvenient. I was only informed of this when I arrived, and again, the ages of my children were known to the innkeeper. We had a fatal mechanical problem with the thermostat in our room, resulting in our room becoming stiflingly hot. Because the problem occurred late at night, the only person I was able to talk to worked for an answering service. We didn't get a response to our problem until the following morning. Gabriel’s is not equipped for 24/7 response to problems. I was charged an additional $40 per child per night, as Gabriel's has a policy under which a $40/night fee is assessed for every guest above two in number who occupy a room. I was told by way of explanation "we have to do more work." That may be the case, but it sure isn't in the remote vicinity of $240 worth. My original room did not even have extra towels or other evidence that they’d prepared for four occupants. For $240, I expect that at least this level of personalization would have been executed prior to our arrival. Overall, this is a charming inn at a great location, and I'm sure the negative experiences we had wouldn’t apply to couples and families with older children (other than the occupancy fee). However, if you have children as young as ours, consider somewhere else.

Very charming B&B. Excellent location with everything you need within a quick walk or bike away so we were able to park the car for 4 days which was a definite plus. Breakfast was very good every morning. We traveled with 2 kids and the innkeepers were very friendly. A little on the pricey side in my opinion but it was our first time in P-town so we have little to compare too...

We had a great time! We loved everything. The innkeepers are lovely folks. The rooms are cozy and unique. The jacuzzi/shower/steam bath was OUTSTANDING!!!! We took two baths in less than 8 hours. There were dog cookies on the dog bed for our pup and we felt generally spoiled all around. The atmosphere of the whole place is perfect! The only things I would say that will need attention soon are that there was a little mold under the caulking in the bathtub and a couple of places in the room where the paint was peeling. The bed was great, but it is angling downwards. None of these things bothered us in the least, but being a former house painter, it might be the kind of thing that could irritate people to see when they are paying top rates. We would happily stay there again and again and again!!! We particularly enjoyed the pet friendliness and cleanliness. We have stayed in plenty of pet friendly places, but only Gabriel's has been clean and classy!
3.8 on August 30, 2010
We had a very nice stay here. Our room was very clean and had everything you could want. The service was excellent and the breakfast was delicious with lots of options...much better than other B&Bs we've stayed at. The location was perfect and within walking distance to everything. Only downside is the price...very pricey for a B&B, but it was summertime in Cape Code...so eveyrthing is inflated. Besides the price, it was a very enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend it.

Conveniently located in town. Very pet friendly. All guests strive to clean up after their pets with bags provided by the Inn. Inkeepers Elizabeth and Elizabeth are very warm and welcoming. They offer a fabulous breakfast in the Great Room daily. Guest privacy is always respected.

My boyfriend and I stayed during the only rainy stretch this summer. The accomodations were fine, clean and inviting. Even though it was August, it was rainy and cold and it would have been lovely if the fireplace was working. Overall, I would recommend Gabriel's to a friend.

Gabriel's truly is our home away from home. The Elizabeth's and Christopher have become our second family! My wife and I always look forward to planning our stays at Gabriel's. We usually stay twice a year but would love to stay more often. We always look forward to breakfast and the talks at the main table. Your breakfast is made to order and always delicious. Everything here is top notch, the rooms, the staff, the breakfasts, and most of all the Elizabeth's. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you are treated like you're the only guests on site. The staff is always ready to help with anything you may need or want. We've stayed in Ariel, Laurel, Dorothea Dix and most recently Agatha Christie and they're all amazing! The location is perfect right in the center of town and close to all the shops and restaurants. I can't say enough about Gabriel's and would recommend it to everyone! It is a must stay you won't be disappointed! Donna & Shannon Melchionno

The Elizabeths are more than innkeepers, they become friends. The rooms are excellent ALWAYS. "More than meets expectations" doesn't even touch the outstanding sevice at the Ashbrooke Inn. My wife and I have stayed at Gabiel's several times, for a weekend and for a week, in February and in August and this is our favorite place to stay in Ptown. The Elizabeth's are fabulous hosts and are so friendly and warm. Some of the rooms are absolutely luxurious and others more basic but they are all clean and comfortable and have special little touches. The breakfasts are great, made to order even in the winter. The rates might seem high but I think it's worth it for the quality of the services and accommodations.

All I could say is, my girlfriend and I enjoyed our mini weekend here. It was our 10th anniversary so, I decided to do our 1st b&b here at Gabriels. At first I was scared she was not going to like my choice of Inns. But as soon as she walked into the main house, I knew I made the right choice. The room (Jane Goodall) beautiful. It was clean and spotless. The staff very quiet, polite and accomodating. I don't think there's anything I can say bad about this Inn. It's an experience I will always remember. Thank you Elizabeths

This was our first time visitng Cape Cod, and we choose Gabriel's. I now understand why you have a Diamond Collection, because this place truly is a Diamond in the rough! It is in walking distance to the central part of Ptown. We stayed in the "Susan" room, and the room was fantastic. We loved the jacuzzi tub, and the oversize shower. The room was VERY roomy, and had some very nice extras, including a decent size fridge, nice elegant sink, with various appliances. (it even had a washer/dryer) The room had a separate entrance, and was on the ground level. A visit to the Cape in the off season was an excellent idea, but the BEST idea was to stay at Gabriel's.

My partner of 7 years and I were heading to p-town for our wedding. Thoughts of a beach, a justice of the peace and us danced in our heads. When we arrived so did the weather. What to do? The ladies at Gabriel’s took care of us! We were married in their courtyard between rain storms with twinkle lights all around. They were extremely helpful when it came to our wedding and beyond. It was a lovely experience and we would highly recommend a visit!

This is a wonderful B & B. I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts in my travels and generally you trade modern extras for charm and hospitality. Not so at Gabriel's. I stayed in a fabulous top floor suite that was spacious, light and beautiful. It had a glass enclosed fireplace at the foot of the king size bed, a living room area, a kitchen with granite counters but the bathroom(!) - a two person hot tub and a huge shower with about 10 nozzles including a rainshower head and steam! The towels were thick and soft (don't you hate scratchy hotel towels?). It also had it's own private deck on the third floor. Okay, so I loved the room, but the home itself was wonderful, offering a terrific breakfast with lots of variety (eggs, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, cereals, etc.) daily. Cookies, teas and coffee were always available. Extra thoughtful touches like umbrellas (it rained every day of my stay!) A terrific great room with movies, books games etc. The location is dead center in town. We never used the car after arrival in our five day stay. And the Elizabeth's really tend to every last detail and provide warm, gracious hospitality. If you are heading in this direction, this is the place to stay.

This spring my husband, our bulldog Ziggy & I spent a wonderful weekend at Gabriel’s. Our room was beautiful, complete with French doors opening to a beautifully landscaped garden, a wonderful tempurpedic bed, a Jacuzzi, and delicious breakfasts. We felt so welcomed by the Elizabeths. As did, Ziggy – a very pet friendly lodging indeed. The location could not be better; convenient walking to Commercial Street and all that Provincetown has to offer. We are looking forward to a return visit some time in the fall to this wonderful establishment. Do not miss this stay if you are visiting Provincetown!

We really loved stay at Gabriels. We were in the center of downtown, walked everywhere and drove to the beach in 5 mins. Our dog was warmly welcomed to the inn and around town, so that made our vacation so easy. Our room was bright, comfortable and clean. I felt like I was home. The small touches made it special. The breakfast was delicious, the cookies in the afternoon were scrumptious, and it was great to be able to borrow movies and umbrellas when we had some rain. Just bring comfortable shoes for walking to the the parking lot, which is up a hill.

We just returned from a really wonderful stay at Gabriel's. The buildings are well kept and tasteful, not overly country or modern in decorating style. The courtyard is beautiful. The breakfast is generous. They were friendly with our young son, but we didn't feel like we were staying at Disneyland- it was still an adult environment. The inn is big enough so you don't feel claustrophobic, which has happened to us at smaller places. The management was present, but not overly involved. We stayed in Willow- which was big, well decorated, had a small kitchenette, and a gorgeous jacuzzi tub/shower. Lastly, the inn could not be in a better location- very close to Commercial Street, but not right in the middle of the noise. We hope to come back very soon!

Hostesses Elizabeth and Elizabeth are meticulous in their care of each and every guest and the staff was top notch. Breakfast each morning is an event to look forward to and if you like warm homemade cookies, look no further. Did I mention we chose to get married in the outdoor garden because of it's beauty and intimacy?

Our lovely hosts Elizabeth and Elizabeth surprised us and upgraded our room upon arrival as well as generously provided champagne on ice for our anniversary! The suite included a magnificient bathroom, heavenly bed, romantic fireplace and elegant furnishings. Our room was bright and sunny, clean and private. The courtyard gardens are welcoming and relaxing with perfect night lighting. The pride of ownership at Grabriel's is evident and I thank them for opening their hearts and home to us. The history of Gabriel's is most interesting and makes us proud to be guests. We will be back!

We truly enjoyed staying at Gabriel's. Even though the town was quiet during our early March visit, we had beautiful weather and were lucky enough to see many whales off the point near the lighthouse after a nice hike out there. Sitting on a dune and enjoying the sun on our faces and justing letting the day pass by was so nice after a long Mid-West winter. We would love to be your guests again in the very near future.

We had a terrific time and plan to spend an evening later this week with our calendar so we can plan our next trip to PTOWN. We haven't stopped talking about how terrific everything was: the room, the bed, THE BATHROOM (we're a bit water logged...) the breakfast, and of course the fine hospitality. First class all the way... It was Dave's birthday weekend and he has said over and over how this was his best birthday ever (and he's had MANY to compare with...) We took a tour of the other rooms before we left (all gorgeous) but we still love "our room," Laurel the best. It is truly spectacular. We contemplated over coffee Sunday morning calling in sick to work on Monday so we could spend another day. We simply did not want to leave. Once again, thanks for a great time! We'll be back soon, and we'll spread the word to our friends about your wonderful Inn. Best, Tim, Dave, and Tucker

Great people, every detail covered, very clean, great breakfast. Fellow innkeepers make note: This is how it should be done. Winter or summer Provincetown always reminds me why I live on Cape Cod.

Gabriel’s at the Ashbrooke Inn As a celebration of my husband and my 60th birthdays, we wanted to take the whole family, including kids, grandkids and dogs to Provincetown, Cape Cod. By chance, we found Gabriel’s online and we stayed there recently for 4 days. It exceeded all our already high expectations. The Inn was so lovely and comfortable and had warmth and charm and every amenity you could possibly imagine. The rooms were beautifully appointed, spacious and had free internet service, flat screen tv’s, multiple head showers, refrigerators, dog bowls, and so much more. The main gathering room was cozy and my daughter commented, as we were watching a late night football game together there, that she felt like she was in one of our own living rooms. The delicious breakfasts were plentiful with a lot of variety. And there were always fresh baked yummy cookies and iced tea and coffee out for anytime snacks. When we went to the beach, we were provided with beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas. The grandkids were provided with cribs that made it so much easier for my daughter not to have to bring those with her. There was also an extensive library of children’s books and enough dvd’s to satisfy anyone’s taste, not to mention lots of games. The Innkeepers are such lovely women who were available and helpful for all of our needs. They truly made our stay there so memorable and very special. I will never forget our time there and would highly recommend Gabriel’s!

We consider Gabriel's and the Elizabeth's, Chris, Miss Potter and Mister Pippin part of our extended family and enjoyed our many stays there in all four seasons. At Gabriel's you are treated not as just a guest, but as family. It is fare that you find 5 star accommodations that not only accept pets, but embraces them. We, as well as our dog Noah and cat Zoe look foward to returning "home" as often as possible. John, Kathy, Noah & Zoe West

A weekend away from home and work is always a treat, but a weekend spent at Gabriel's is a real pleasure. My husband and I recently celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. Through a combination of internet search and dumb luck, we found Gabriel's. Each of the rooms is unique, reflecting the personality of it's namesake. We stayed in "Laurel", a large, two room suite with a supercomfortable king sized bed, a sitting area, a well stocked kitchen, a luxurious bath, and 2 gas fireplaces. My favorites were the many decorating touches, such as hand made needlework on the walls, or The Mafia Cookbook in the kitchen! For the tech-savy , the flat screen TV's with DVD players, and the iHome clock radio for your iPod are great. Every detail reflects the hospitality and good humor of the owners, Elizabeth and Elizabeth. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Eating at the large dining table with a diverse group of guests was a great way to learn and share tips about visiting Provincetown. We definitely hope to visit again soon.

We traveled back to Provincetown and Gabriel's. What I find great about this place is the wonderful staff, the innkeepers the 2 Elizabeths and how spotless the rooms are. As we have been there at once yearly for the past 5 years and sometimes more than once a year, we enjoy staying in the different rooms. All are named differently and do not have numbers. It is just very unique. We have stayed in Quan, Dorothea, Virginia, and now the newest unit Hope. We enjoyed being ground floor, closest unit to the park, for our dog of course. How convenient, being right behind town hall, we are a short block to Commercial St. for all the shopping and stores. We have gone many places but we continue to come back to Gabriel's at the Ashbrooke Inn as it never disappoints. We love the grounds, as they seem to always be decorated so beautifully and the flowers are so gorgeous in the summer. We cannot wait for our next visit in the summer.

When my husband and I visited Provincetown in the past, I'd always looked longingly at the signs for inns and guest houses as we drove to the edge of town to the somewhat run-down motel that allows us to bring our dog. When we decided to go back to celebrate our anniversary, I wondered whether it was possible to stay at a nice inn and bring our yellow Lab Jeannie. Happily, it was! I found Gabriel's on-line. It promised rooms with lovely decor, fireplaces, private baths with jacuzzis and other luxuries. And, most importantly, pets were welcome! It was everything we'd hoped for. We loved our stay in the Katherine Hepburn room with fireplace, jacuzzi, kitchenette, television, music system, and a dog-bed for Jeannie! Located in the center of town, we were within walking distance of all our favorite restaurants and galleries and there was a park for Jeannie right next door. Breakfasts at Gabriel's were delicious and we enjoyed conversing with the other guests and our warm, lovely hosts, the two Elizabeths, who made everyone feel welcome and at home.

The reality of staying at Gabriel’s far surpasses what the website mentions. It’s truly a unique experience and the Elizabeth’s make your stay very enjoyable. My wife and I even decided to extend our visit an extra day and since it was mid-week, there was room at the inn! Gabriel’s is not your typical bed and breakfast, either. While many B&B’s make you feel like you are invading them, Gabriel’s is not that way. The Great Room is warm and inviting, separated from where the family lives, with a gorgeous fireplace and kitchen (love the late night fresh baked cookies, by-the-way!). The amenities are also just right with books, board games and videos for one to enjoy should you decide to stay indoors. We particularly liked the private balcony off our room that overlooked the beautiful courtyard area as well as the fireplace and Jacuzzi in our suite. Unlike most hotels that charge you for every little thing, I was impressed that everything is included for you to enjoy and the staff was always attentive to your needs without being in-your-face. This was our 25th wedding anniversary and we plan to return again to this slice of heaven (did I mention that our room was fabulous!). Thank You Elizabeth’s for everything, we look forward to seeing you again soon.

From the minute we arrived, we were treated as though we were old friends although it was our first stay. Our room was cozy and comfortable. We made frequent use of the balcony (Quan Yin). We needed peace and quiet and we got what we needed. The bed? What can we say, that was the best weeks sleep we have gotten in a long time (or since for that matter). Breakfast is not your traditional, muffin and donuts and is absolutely delicious. Everyone (all the other guests as well) was so very friendly. The proximity to Commercial Street without actually being ON Commercial Street is a definite plus. We can not wait to come back again.

We have just celebrated our seventeenth anniversary, and our twentieth visit to Provincetown - all of them spent at Gabriel's at The Ashbrook Inn. Each year we look forward to see the additions, changes and TLC that go into this home away from home. We are never disappointed. Everyone is made to feel like family - from the personal greetings & tour of the property (and beautiful gardens), to the wonderful daily gathering of people from around the world at the breakfast table in The Great Room, no detail is too small for your comfort. Jacuzzi tubs complete with steam units...Heaven! Each room has its own story to tell, celebrating the life of a spectacular woman. Calling the owners "innkeepers" does not do them justice. Their passion for what they do speaks volumes. Located beneath the tower-the signature landmark of Provincetown, and beside the beautiful Pilgrim Memorial Park, it is convenient to dining, entertainment, shopping, or just plain relaxation. We have already made our plans to come back for next year. As far as we are concerned, there is nowhere else to stay in P-Town!

We have made this our home away from home for seventeen years. After 20 visits, our experience has gotten more enjoyable each year. To be welcomed as family on every arrival, it surpasses any place we have stayed -hands down !! Each year there are improvements that certainly are beyond our expectations. We have seen many transformations, additions and subtactions that have made our stay more comforable and memorable that we cannot wait to make our next reservation each time. The personal touch is like no other we have experienced anywhere. This is the only place in P-Town that is the place to be!!

We just spent a few nights at Gabriel's At The Ashbrooke Inn and can not say enough about this Inn. Everything was just perfect. Convenient location, close enough to everything but not too close ,for some quiet time. Beautifully decorated rooms ( love the jacuzzi) and common areas including the wonderful garden areas. Hot cooked breakfast in the morning !! What a great thing ! Also have to mention the delicious cookies. I can not think of one bad thing to say about this fabulous Inn. The owners have taken great care in trying to see that everything you could possibly need or want is available. I only hope I can return for another visit.

We booked last minute, on a whim to drive to Provincetown and relax. We spoke to Elizabeth who was able to get us a lovely room, which had all the amenities we would ever have wanted. I cannot say enough about how nice the women were to deal with. We loved the accomodations and the amenity basket was a nice touch. Best of all was the homemade breakfast we had, or the other choices of simple items that were just the right touch. We will return again, and enjoy the closeness to the wharf, nightlife, and shopping. We had a great trip.

In all my 30+ years staying in Provincetown, I finally found my dream location, Gabriel’s at the Ashbrooke Inn. A beautifully appointed setting, everything is reflective of the owners’ good taste, warmth and careful attention to every detail. A home-cooked breakfast with the owners and other successful, interesting and friendly women who stay at Gabriel’s is unique. A warm and accepting environment, Gabriel’s allows as much privacy or involvement as one chooses. Every guest room is unique in design, themed based on the lives of women of distinction. All rooms are WiFi and there’s even a loaner laptop!! I highly recommend Gabriel’s for anyone who appreciates elegance.

We stayed at Gabriel's in the late 90's and returned twice in 2006. It has only gotten better. There has been much remodeling to the rooms, and the dining room is wonderful. We loved being able to meet people from all over during our stay. Our friends got married on the beach and we stayed at Gabriel's. The 2 women innkeepers were really nice, always helpful, and made our friend's honeymoon stay special. I would recommend staying here just for the breakfast which was included in our stay. We loved the grounds, the rooms had lots of amenities, and everyone in our group loved their rooms. We plan on returning more often. We were made to feel special and we loved how we did not have to drive anywhere. Gabriel's is so close to everything, we walked everywhere. Thanks for making our visit so special.

A stay at Gabriel’s at The Ashbrooke Inn is a study in thoughtfulness. From the time you make your reservation until the time you check out, your every desire is taken care of. From the extraordinary appointed guest rooms, to the gardens and breakfast, there is an anticipation of your comfort before you even realize it yourself. During our many stays at Gabriel’s, we have found the breakfast table a wonderful place to share yesterday’s adventures, relax, and enjoy the Elizabeths and other guests. Shopping, restaurants, clubs, and Cape Cod Bay are a short walk away. We can’t wait to return for another stay!
